Absolutely love this place! We go at least every other weekend. If you can’t tell that it’s good by the mile long line out the door, just wait until you try the food. They have a huge selection of bagels and cream cheeses, their breakfast sandwiches and deli sandwiches are great. The amazing staff really know what they’re doing back there. The food comes out quickly and never disappoints.
This is an awesome place for bagels. As a resident of NJ and NYC, this place reminds of the Jewish delis with its bagels. The bagels are perfection; crunchy on the outside and chewy soft on the inside. There are at least a dozen varieties of bagels including my personal favorite, the sun dried tomato (eaten best toaster with oodles of butter) and the rye.I am taking off a star because many of the staff do not wear mask. Secondly, the updated prices are not reflected on the price board.
There is a reason the line in the morning is 10 to 20 people deep. Their bagels are amazing, the staff is quick & knowledgeable, and their place is super clean.Every time I come back home, this is my first stop! DELICIOUS!
Visiting from out-of-town and took a chance on this place after searching for coffee in the area. The reviews arent lying... this place will hit the spot, no matter what youre craving. Clearly, this place has a lot of love and work in the mix, and you wont walk away disappointed. We opted for the create-your-own omelet, which was packed with every ingredient you ask for (fresh and no skimping!). The coffee is good, and Im planning to go back for some cookies and other baked goods as well... yum!
The best chicken salad around!! The bagels are so fresh and the customer service in fantastic. This explains why people wait in line to eat breakfast and lunch there. Please support a family that has great food and service! Thanks for an amazing lunch!!
I love the food just like everyone else, however just be ready to wait forever because the staff show absolutely to sense of urgency even if the line is stretching out the door. Earlier this morning I got completely forgotten about and how to wait another 10 minutes just for my bagel. Their system of taking an order and then going and making it is greatly flawed. Ive never been to a restaurant that operates this way. Why on Earth wouldnt you just have someone who takes orders and keeps the line moving and people working quicker in the back making the food? You know just like every other restaurant 🤔 For me you still get 2 stars because the food is delicious but the staff really needs to get it together.
As someone who grew up relatively close to NYC (in CT) Ive always enjoyed pretty good bagels... which I realized I took for granted when I moved to WI lol. Now that Im in NC, wasnt expecting to find good bagels again, so this place was a pleasant surprise. Probably the best bagels Ive had in years. The lox sandwiches are fantastic - everything tastes super fresh and just the right amount of cream cheese and lox, tomato, onion & capers. Tried a black and white cookie the other day as well and it was delicious. The staff is super friendly also (and helpful!! I accidentally left my wallet here right before they closed, but the staff found it and held onto it for me, was able to pick it up the next day, thank god!). Definitely recommend as a go-to for bagels and bagel sandwiches!
Best bagels in Raleigh. If you haven’t tried them please do. Be prepared to wait a few minutes. It’s always busy but that’s because they are worth waiting for!
Visiting from CA, the staff need should consider taking a customer service course. They were also out of plain bagels, not impressed Raleigh, NC
As soon as I walked in, I could tell this place was the real deal. The options seemed limitless. There was delicious options all over the menu. The atmosphere alone is something worth stopping in for. This is an unchallenged bagel place with phenomenal and phenomenal prices. A++++
This place is always good. And just about always busy, weekends there is a line down the sidewalk. Fresh food, delicious and well prepared. Friendly staff. We get bagels at least once a week.
Wow! Amazing amazing bagels. The only place in the area with good bagels. They made some platters that I ordered for the getting ready room at my wedding, and everyone raves about it. And for a really reasonable price too! Cannot recommend this place enough.
Best bagels in the area by far. Highly recommend and the staff is not rude even in the slightest-this is a classic deli/bagel shop and operates exactly like the ones up north do, they don’t mess around and they get people in and out. You go there to get good food and that’s exactly what they deliver. 5/5 will be back
This is the ONLY real New York style bagel in Raleigh. I’m not sure why every place in town uses the same name but no other spot has New York style bagels. Often imitated! They also use Boar’s Head deli meat. I never write reviews, but save yourself the trouble. Do not go to any other bagel shop. Do not go to Annie bagel shop using the name New York bagels unless it’s this one
Best bagels in Raleigh, possibly the Triangle! Be sure to get there early, as the queue can be 30 minutes mid morning. Definitely worth it though.
A Holey site. Worth the pilgrimage from anywhere in the Triangle. Absolutely the real deal.
Great bagels if you can get what you ordered! We have driven here from another town on more than one occasion to have our food given to other customers and then being told they are out of the bagel flavor they just gave away …After we paid - awful service, and they cools careless about it
Small bagels. Go to NYC and youll be full off of one. They also forgot to toast my two bagels and forgot to put a tomato on one (I asked for tomato and avocado, but they dont even have avocados). Still an edible restaurant, but you can get the exact same at Panera or Brueggers.
This place makes good bagels but were they fail their loyal customers is that they always raise their prices.Greedy owners who like to take advantage of their customers.prices.Staff is Supr Slow !!!!This is the South so stop with the NYC priices.
Okay . Being that i am from Bronx, New York … i got me a Bacon Egg & Cheese and let me tell you . It was OKAY . It wasn’t cheesy, i had a lot of bacon maybe one egg . It was in fact cheap but I’m good, it was not all that .
If you havent gone there yet...what are you waiting for? Talk about a real NY experience here in North Raleigh they have the best bagels and Italian pastries. With Holy week just around the corner the hot cross buns are out and so are the light and delicious St. Josephs. Call ahead for breakfast and they will have it ready by the time you get there.
Good bagels, really rude people that work there. A lady behind the counter was not exactly happy that I came into her store towards the end of the day last year asking for a dozen bagels. This really put her out. I gave her the benefit of the doubt because it was probably a long day for her. I had just seen the place so I thought I would stop in. They were limited on what they had left so it took me a second to figure out each one I wanted since most of the good ones were gone. I was polite and understood, chose my bagels and wished her a good day. Today my husband goes in there to get me a bagel and the guy behind the counter let a woman cut in front of him. When he spoke up saying he was next, he told him its ok and proceeded with the entitled woman. When another person behind the counter helped my husband, she was really disappointed that he was just getting one bagel and gave him attitude. I give them 2 stars because their food is decent, but they lack in customer service and kindness.
Perfect food, friendly service! Our order was brought out to our table and the cookie and football were bagged to take home. Lots of drink selections, coffees, all Boars Head meats, delicious pastries. The bagels and rolls are superb! I love the Nova lox, which is what I always get. The Manning is a delicious sandwich with roast beef. If you want an authentic NY deli, this is as close as you can get in Raleigh. Highly recommend. Line moves very fast. Theres a long line for a reason... Great food
As a recent transplant from the North, I was feeling serious bagel despair after a three month search for anything that even vaguely resembled a true NY bagel. We finally found this place and my search is officially over. Dont waste your time...this is the only place for bagels in Raleigh NC.They also do pastries and sandwiches and I look forward to trying all of it very soon.Drop that biscuit...go get a real bagel!!
Coming from NY, I did not think i would be able to find any place around Raleigh that makes great bagels. This is now our favorite place to grab some breakfast. The owner I met comes from the same area of NY that I do, so that was a nice thing. Bagels are excellent, and weve basically had bacon/egg/cheese variations and they have been delicious. We go every weekend. Highly recommend. Especially if youre from the NY/NJ area and crave some good NY deli food.
Love this place! Best bagels that I have had in Raleigh.
Edit: They got our our orders right the second time. The first time was probably a fluke. Best spot around for NY style bagels. Definitely going back.Good tasting bacon egg and cheese.. if only they remembered the cheese. Also, they forgot to take the tomatoes off my wifes sandwich. I guess they just dont listen. They barely put enough stuff to fill my sandwich.I may go back at some point to scratch the bacon egg and cheese itch I get every now and then.
Really good food. Gets really busy so go early.
First time trying NY Bagel and Deli, and I was not disappointed. This place has legit bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches that taste like the ones I used to have living in Brooklyn. The vibe is also just like that of a New York deli. Will definitely be back.
Bagels are tasty, chewy, but a little thin when toasted. Good coffee.
Its good for the raleigh area, but it doesnt stand a chance to an actual bagel shop in NYC. Staff is friendly and theyre quick. Bagels are good but I wish they added way more cream cheese. Their pastries are also worth a try, we got an apple danish and it was pretty tasty.
The best bagel I have ever had. The egg is was a little soft, lots of bacon. The bagel tastes so good! Much better than what you can find at most local bagel eateries. It seems like a real New York experience. Breakfast, Lunch, cookies and pastries. They also have a huge bottled drink section. They do tend to get crowded on the weekends but the line goes fast.
Update** 01/12/21 Been back here several times now working my way through their menu. They use Boars Head meats. Vegetables are always fresh. I really enjoy their breakfast sandwiches (ex: sausage, egg, cheese, on egg bagel). Their Egg Salad and Chicken Salads are both good.Im not a huge fan of their Potato Salad or Macaroni Salad, but thats just a personal choice. Both salads good quality and tasty.People here are always friendly and service is excellent.- - - - -Excellent Bagels! They have Boar Head meats for their sandwiches, which are made fresh and to order. both hot and cold. Reasonable prices. Excellent food - fresh and tasty. Service is always friendly and helpful. Just stop by at lunch time and look at the line waiting to get in - this tells you just how good they are.
Taylor ham egg and cheese on a bagel, only spot to get one. Love it and the pastries are so fresh and tasty.
The best bagels and the best bagel sandwiches. It’s our go to weekend brekkie! We also enjoy the breakfast burritos !
Ok, I get why this place has a line out the door! Bagels are the best you’re going to find in the Triangle - forget any of those chain places. Ingredients are fresh - my cream cheese had fresh chopped chives mixed in for extra flavor! The only issues I have are with the deli itself. For such a popular place, it could stand to use some updating, and it’s clear no one is going around to tables regularly cleaning up.
Love these bagels! They are the best in the area!
So far, only been there twice, but happy with the food and service. Go there knowing what you are going to order, the place is too busy for standing at the counter and being indecisive. The staff were nice to us, though that may be due to us knowing how to order. Will keep going for the assortment of bagels and awesome selection of pastries.
As always, this place is fantastic. I cannot say enough about the people that work here, the quality of the food, and the prices. I have never had a bad experience here.
Went to the store this am toaster was broken and from other people there it was not the first day. Then the woman in front of me was told it would cost $1.00 to cut her bagel? The woman behind the counter just said that is the cost we walked out with nothing.
Delicious eclairs! My boyfriends ham and cheese bagel smelled mouth watering. They didnt have any cannolis when I went which was a little sad and they didnt have as large a selection of deli meats as I was hoping (my dad was looking for olive loaf), but still a good selection!
Very good bagels. Just like home(Long Island)
This former New Englander says: one of if not the best bagels in Raleigh. There’s a reason the line stretches outside the door. Prices seem frozen in year 2000, in the best way.
Best bagel shop in town.Salmon lox on eg everything FTDWWhat more do you need?
Got a valid Brooklyn style baconeggncheese. Really nice deli, reminds me of Brooklyn a lot. Great service too!
Coffee was great service was excellent. I miss my NY bahels these are it, soft with a slight crisp outside but not chewy, you know the ones you gotta chew until your mouth is dry and take coffee to be able to swallow. Truly amazing will be back.
I’m from NY and their breakfast is the closet thing to a corner store sandwhich I’m able to find in the area. We’ve ordered from here a number of times now and have never been disappointed.
I’m a huge supporter of bagel sandwiches in the morning. I recommend getting your bagel sandwiches with your choice of the great selection of cream cheese spreads. The lox bagel sandwich was delicious, light and yet filling. The corned beef bagel was one that I tried and it did not disappoint. Last but not least, The turkey bacon, egg, and cheese bagel. It’s just, so good. They also have a great selection of baked goods. Just get the eclairs and trust me. They are incredible.
This place is the real deal!!! So many wonderful things to choose from and the bagels are out of this world!!! Line moves fast so dont be dismayed! Its so worth it!
Great owners and the real deal on the bagels and desserts.
The line is long on any Sunday because they really have great food. Dont let the line discourage you though, its pretty quick moving! Bagels are always fresh, the cream cheeses and whitefish salad bring me (mentally) back to my childhood in Brooklyn. Ohhh and dont forget to grab a giant cookie or any of their other delicious baked goods, always a crowd pleaser.
Great NY style bagels and delicious subs!
The bagels and cream cheese are delicious, nicely authentic NY style. The best in town. The lox are sliced far too thick, though - both times I went. I might get my lox at Wegmans next time instead.
Forget getting bagels on the weekend they don’t do call in orders when people actually have time to get decent food.
This guy is disrespectful and does not know how to properly treat customers. I go there on a weekly basis with my puppy and usually spend between $25-30 per visit and today for the first time he told me I cannot have my puppy with me. Keep in mind he has helped me multiple times with the puppy with me without stating anything.
Completely unorganized.
Long line but great bagels
Very, very good bagels and delicious omletes.
THEE BEST cream cheese.
The Manning, add turkey, hot, on a sub roll is by far the best sandwich in Raleigh.
I Was surprised they only got rid of the tables where u line up to give ur order. Inside the tables r not spaced. They’re still close together. Also they have a large sign that says “SANITIZED “ on each table. not true. I was watching people come and go from the tables and no one sanitized any of them. I saw the manager (no mask on) and said the tables had not been cleaned. His answer was we r busy waiting on customers. Soon after someone came out to clean the empty tables. It was more important to make money then to keep things clean and safe. I wonder what goes on behind the scenes.I will NOT be back.
Best deli experience in the Triangle. Mazel tov!
First time going. Got the corned beef, egg, and cheese on jalapeno cheddar bagel. Absolutely incredible. We we will definitely visit again.
Absolutely worth the wait. If you plan on going on the weekends youll have to wait outside but only for a moment. They have at least 8 workers serving customers as fast as they can. Nova lox on an everything is a game changer.
Always wonder. Taylor ham, egg, and cheese for the win!
Be prepared to wait a very long time. Food is decent. Longest wait though.
Great place, nice staff, excellent food. I loved the almond horn and bagel with lox. I will be returning.
Bagels, cannolis, white and black cookies and the macaroni salad were all great! Im headed back this morning to get a couple of bagels for the road! Highly recommend and this is coming from a New Yorker!
Nice little bagel shop with a good, wide selection of bagels (including pumpernickel, onion, rye, and onion bialy). Cream cheese is delicious, though I find their veggie to be too chunky. Have only down bagels as carry-out but they have a good set-up and seem to take COVID-19 seriously.
The two old, bald men working in the back were not wearing any masks. If they dont take a global pandemic seriously, I can only assume they dont take cleaning their store seriously as well. Not going back.
Best bagels in Raleigh, they live up to the store name. We have come here since it opened. Egg salad like mom used to make and I never seem to get quite right. Cookies to die for...big or pretty little ones by the pound (really nice gift for someone you like a lot and hope they’ll share). Great attentive staff that really listen and alter to anything that you want. They are REAL people with smiles and attitude, that I love!Great food, even pizza dough, great people. They get a “10” from me!
Definitely are nice to some and rude to others.. Always unfriendly and not very organized when paying and orderingDont have curbside at all and then on weekends their bussiest times no call in orders .. ugh so difficult
Worth the drive!
Love this place. Ive had breakfast and lunch items!
The best service. Food quality and flavor is amazing.
What a great place! Bagels and sandwiches are amazing here. Such a diverse menu too!
Feels like a real NY deli
Legit NY bagels, good people, great food!
My favorite place in Raleigh for breakfast! The staff is always friendly and the food is always really good. I just wish there was another location closer to my house but it’s always worth the drive!
The best bagels in town
Def call ahead for special sandwiches, gets crowded on the weekend.
New favorite Bagel joint in the triangle. Get the Asiago Bagel with scallion bacon cream cheese!
Always a joy, even with the long lines
Probably the best bagels you can get in the RDU area. Went a bit later in the afternoon, and this place is open an hour longer than most of the other bagel shops. Staff were decently nice, and the full bakery selection was great.
Best bagels in the area
This is easily one of the best places to eat! They have unique dishes and all their food is beyond amazing! Everything was fresh and tasted perfect! The staff was friendly welcoming and very helpful!
We like the food which we cant find elsewhere.
Its New York bagels! No seriously, its like they straight up imported Hudson Bay water just to make these things! Youve got to try them to believe it. You wont be sorry. Well you will be simply because you had to read a review to get you through the door the first time. But I wont judge if you wont. Feels like youre in New York walking through the door. You feel right at home knowing that youre going to have some of the best food in your life. If youve never been, go, seriously... drop what youre doing and go. Dont worry if theyre closed, theyll open eventually. Just wait patiently in the parking lot. Trust me, you wont look creepy doing it, I promise! For those of you in the know, Ill see ya there!
Only place I can get a taylor ham egg and cheese. I have to order two though to equal what I would get in North Jersey. Also you get the same half-paying-attention rudeness as you would get up north. Its like being home again.
Awesome bagels
Best crumb buns around.
Fast and Friendly service :).
