Brought in my truck for an oil change and travel inspection. I am about to hit 100k and they inspected not only for the travel, but the mileage milestone. Ended up being a lot to be done. Over 2500.00. After the tech inspected the truck he had a master tech go over his work. Turns out that there was services listed that were not needed due to some paperwork that had not been updated. Instead of just doing the work anyways, Scott, the helpdesk person I was dealing with, removed the extra items saving me over 600.00. That alone will keep me coming back to AAA.

Mr. Scott, asst. mgr., was very patient as he listened to me explain my car problems. The manager gave me some misinformation about a service call. He corrected his error by offering to tow my car at no charge. I felt good about working with them.

Mya was very nice as well everyone else I interacted with. I just moved back to the area and based on my service today this location will be my new auto repair stop! Thank you.

First off, the staff I meet with was very informative and helpful and I have no problem with them. The problem is that I had service done on a car a year ago at a different location and the part is acting up again but I was told that the part could be fixed at this location but received a call from the staff that the general manager refused to to honor the warranty at this location which means that instead of them getting the part needed sent to this location, the general manager is forcing us to drive all the way back to the Durham location to get this fixed and putting the burden on the customer.

Im from out of state and had car issues. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They were able to diagnose the issue same day, and were helpful with disposing of the car when I decided the cost of repair was not worth keeping the junker alive.

This was my first experience as a customer. They attended to my mechanical issues, but I was very disappointed that like all their competitors, they gave me the usual by the way speech. Always on the prowl to see how much more of your money can they extract from you. I dont want that speech unless youve discovered a life threatening issue. Have to consider a return visit.

As a AAA member I went in to get some free state maps. Also wanted a road atlas. The 2020 atlas was around $11 but they offered me a 2019 atlas I hadnt even noticed for $4.99. Very helpful and friendly staff, would recommend getting maps from here if youre a member since they have all 50 states and lots of major cities.

They keep selling me dead batteries. I bought a battery from them in January. It died in May. They came out to give me a new one, but charged me for it, even though it was under warranty. Well, the one I bought in May just died yesterday. Had an electrician come out here (from another company) and he said nothings wrong with the car. AAA just isnt rotating the batteries on their shelves/checking their charge before shipping them out. Worst auto service around. Not renewing membership and I advise everyone else to consider the same.

Customer service rep was not helpful. Told me she was on phone but could help me as well. I was inquiring about Disney prices and couldnt give me a printout or info on other parks that I was asking about. Maybe Ill try another branch.

I went in to have a noisy a/c compressor fixed. They said it needed a lot of additional A/C components and the cost would be $1,900. I declined, and they came back and said they could do it for $1,700. I declined again, and they said that they could just fix the a/c compressor for $1,200. I was stunned! Thats what I came in to have done in the first place! i have been a life long member of AAA, and I thought this place was honest. Instead they tried to sell me things I did not need and then they tried to negotiate on their prices. I always thought the first estimate at a AAA facility was their best price and a fair one. Obviously, it is not. I got the A/C compressor replaced somewhere else for $480.00. I agree with another reviewer who liked working with Rich. I liked him too. Unfortunately, he does not work there anymore. The lady who helped me was super nice but she did not know a thing about car repairs. I will not be back.

Kenny was the absolute best service manager I have ever dealt with! He went above and beyond to make sure my car was taken care of after a number of issues arose. I can not recommend him or this location enough!

We had an alternator put on in July. First, the service rep told me that there was something else wrong with the car when I clearly knew that the alternator was shot. He insisted that I didn’t know what I was wrong so I decided to listen to him and allowed him to fix what he thought was wrong (paid $300 for it). Went to pick the car up and it turned off as we were pulling out of the parking lot. Guess what was wrong with the car? THE ALTERNATOR WAS SHOT. Ended up paying another $400 bucks or so to get the alternator put in. A day after getting the new alternator put on, I noticed that the car was making a slight rattle noise as we drove it. (The same service rep constantly let me know that there wasn’t a warranty on the labor). Up until about a week ago (mid November) the rattle noise got worse and then stopped all of a sudden. So did the car!! Had a noble mechanic come by and take a look at it yesterday. Confirmed that there was a bolt missing from the alternator (which he explained was piss poor work and had to be done purpose). Costing me another $200 bucks to get it finally taken care of. I will never go here again.

Deon was great. The manager on duty worked with me on AAA discounts. Deon explained work at each step. Courtesy van was nice. I was able to get some shopping done while waiting and they even picked me up and returned me to the location. Friendly atmosphere.

Went to get my oil changed and was told that included a free tire rotation. And while they had the tires off the car they went over it with a fine tooth comb, then presented me with a lengthy list of repairs my car needed that would cost over $800. And then the manager actually said to me you can take this home and have your husband look at it. Is this 1960 or something? I told him I am a widow actually. I did not give them permission to inspect my car, I was told it might be a longer wait bc of covid 19 measures. Should have remembered NOTHING is truly free. And wouldnt you know it I just renewed my membership for another year. I was truly stunned yesterday, my previous experiences with AAA when I needed a new battery and when I locked my keys in my car were very positive.

The place was very nice and well maintained. Added bonus was that they were open on Saturday of a long weekend. The staff was great and considering as well. They took care of our car and on priority as we were on a vacation and had to stop there in a unknown city due to a technical snag. They explained in detail what was wrong and what their plan was to fix it so that we have a smooth journey onwards. It felt like the prices were a little steep and thats why I took off one star but overall a great experience.

The service advisor did not explain the different levels of oil change package, as they have varying prices.Did not provide DVI to correct phone or email, when asked about it advisor lied.Requested quote for strut and shocks since they supposedly had done a tire rotation, but instead gave me info about having to get parts from GMC dealer( not what i asked for, needed quote).

Please do yourself a favor and do not have your car taken here! First off I had a terrible emergency situation and had to have my car towed over 100 miles so I had to pay an extra 100 dollars to get it towed to this shop because taking it to my regular one would have cost WAY more from where my car broke down.my car overheated and I figured they would at least be able to do a free diagnostic test. They called me this morning and told me they needed 115 dollars to run an extra test because they had to see if there was leak. I spoke with the manager and told him very specifically I did not have a lot of money to spend on a repair much less this test. He stated they had to do it if I wanted to know what was wrong with my car. They call me later around lunch and they quoted me 780 dollars to fix my car! I call my normal mechanic and told him what was wrong he stated they did not even need to run that test it was an electrical problem not fluid so they had no need to do anything extra! My mechanic is charging me 245 dollars for the repairs! I called to try and argue this and try and get at least the 115 taken off my bill because there was no need for this and they threatened me and the manager was extremely snippy with me! Do yourself a favor and avoid this shop please!

Very satisfied with the AAA Car Care Center service on New Hope Rd. in Raleigh, NC; however, I do not like that an employee of LYFT drives the customer back to their home and picks the customer back up to get their vehicle. This is the first time someone other than a AAA employee has done this. Included in this outside service is AAA providing the outside source my phone #. The asst. mgr. did tell me that in the future they would have a AAA employee drive me home and back to AAA Center for my car if I asked them to. The asst. mgr. said the outside service was a fairly new service provided the custmer.

Unless you have all the time in the world, never go to this location for car services. I dont know if it is because it is in a predominantly Black area but this location does not value the time of its customers. They give you a time it will be completed and its never completed. You can have an appointment and it does not speed up the process. I dropped my car off on Monday morning at 9am, got a call Monday 4pm that they just got around to it but that it should be ready by 12pm Tuesday and that they would call. Of course they never called so I called them at 2pm only for them to tell me that they were not sure if it would be ready so I rented another car, only for them to text and say the car was ready. I pick the car up on Wednesday. I dont even make it down the street before the battery light comes on. I go back and they tell me its just coincidence that I had my car there for two days and now out of the blue, my alternator (which I replaced barely four months ago) must be going bad. No accountability. Then the manager Phil had the audacity to say I could leave it and that they could do a diagnostic tomorrow. That means I would have left my car there four days. Thanks but no thanks. If they mail those coupons, throw them away. The amount of money you save will not be worth the time and aggravation. Never, ever again.

This was my first time using a AAA Car Care Center. I only needed an oil change & tire rotation. Being a AAA member, they did a complete check on my car at no additional charge. The employees were all friendly & courteous. I will definitely use this location again.

I had a wonderful experience today. Customer service was excellent. The technician that worked on my Tahoe explained everything he was doing and only did what was necessary to repair problem. I was given 3 different quotes. I called and was told $490 plus tax, I got there and was told that they needed to to a diagnostic that would cost $99. AAA already did one when they came to my house and told me that I needed a starter, they charged me $99 to tell me something I already knew and added the fee unnecessarily. I ended paying $704 for a starter when I was told a lower price. I put a complaint here and was contacted immediately by the manager who rectified the situation. Nate listened to my concerns, used it as a teaching moment for his employees and let me know that he was the one I talked to on the phone without me asking and refunded the difference based on miscommunication. What started off bleak ended up being addressed with professionalism and care. Thanks AAA for listening to my concerns and addressing them.

My wife purchased fresh fish from a local market. She stopped for gas before heading back home. The car failed to start after refueling. AAA sent Mike from East Coast Towing.Mike towed the vehicle to Evan and Shane at 1480 N. New Hope Rd. Mike suggested to Evan that the starter was likely malfunctioning. Evan jumped into action and with diagnostic info from Shane confirmed a new starter was needed.The starter was ordered, replaced, and my wife was back home before the fish got cold! I just found my new auto repair shop. Kudos to Mike, Evan, and Shane.P.S. My wife told Evan she could not be late picking up the kids from school. Great service and kid-friendly too :)P.P.S. Actually, they offered to stick the fish in the fridge, but the service was really fast. ;)

The best AAA Service Center in town. Paul is very personable, upbeat and helpful. He really enjoys his job, and makes you feel like you are the most important customer to walk through the doors. He has fantastic customer service skills.Shane is the most patient mechanic I know. He took his time to explain what was wrong with my car in terms I could understand. He even took his time to show, describe and explain how the parts should function in comparison to what was wrong. It doesnt get any better than that. Gold star service!Veronica in the travel department turned my frown upside down. She turned what began as a disasterous trip at another office into a more pleasant planning affair. Veronica totally made us feel like we were in good hands and could trust her with our endeavors. On top having to fix the mess she was given she made us feel welcomed.Overall Great group of people and Great customer service. Their efforts make me proud to be a member!

As far as Im concerned Triple A can holds its own. Theyre very professional,I trust them thats the way I view them,to each his own.

My most recent experiences: 1. Waited on the side of US 401 in Raleigh at rush hour for over an hour and half for a tow truck coming from HENDERSON, NC who never could find me. I just cancelled it, as my husband arrived before the tow truck. Very dangerous situation! AAA asks are you in a safe location? and when you reply No,its crickets... Maybe send a wrecker from a garage closer than 50 miles away???? 2. Waited on the side of 440 in Raleigh near Western Blvd for an hour and half in the dark for Little Johns towing. Another very dangerous situation. Little Johns towed the vehicle to the mechanic (after hours) and left it blocking their bay doors. When we called AAA for them contact Little Johns to move it (the car was completely disabled), we were told they would charge us!! The icing on the cake is that this guy from Little Johns also helped jump start a second car on the scene...THEY REVERSED THE TERMINALS and fried the engine computer. WOW!!!AAA has your dues and so can give this poor quality service regardless. I do not have peace of mind with them, and I am dropping them.

This place was right up under my nose the whole time and sometimes you drive by places and we see but we really dont know about them so I got something in the mail said Ill check them out wonderful even I met other customers and they said they a great the job on their cars and its not that expensive so make sure you come out and check out AAA car service

I had a very good experience at this AAA.Everyone was efficient and friendly.In and out in no time.

Brought my car in for the standard oil change and while it was on the lift, the mechanic mentioned that my CV shafts looked real worn and asked how the car drove. I had noticed some new clicking noises while driving but figured it would be something else. They gave me quote and I shopped the price around for a bit but during the 3 weeks in between, the CV shaft started making gnarly noises and a lot of shake during turns. It turns out AAA had the best price and warranty on the repair. I took it back in, got it repaired and its driving great again. I even got one of their mailer coupons so I saved another $25 on the repair too.Glad to find a trustworthy auto shop in Raleigh.

Today I stopped by the AAA on New Hope Rd. to get air put into a low tire. Never had to jump through hoops before to get air. I drove to the back bay where the door was open and asked for air. He asked had I checked in at the front desk...I told him No. Ive never had to do that before. Another one of the mechanics piped in behind him and said they couldnt put air in my tire without checking in at the front desk. Realize by the time all of this had gone on they couldve just filled my tire. Please, folks, do you think a 66-yr. old woman doesnt know when shes being treated badly. I came home and after trying to call--6 times that all hung up before they even answered, I asked to speak to the manager. The gentleman told me he was the manager but he would need to put me on hold since he was checking out a customer. After 3-4 mins. he returned to my call and when I told him what had happened he said the guys in back were right. They had a policy of not just putting air in tires because they had someone come back several times for the same tire and it was a safety issue. Now they have more than a safety issue on their hands--they have a customer who has spent several thousand dollars in their shop over the last 5 yrs., been a member of AAA for years, and now wont go back for anything they have. I pay for AAA year-after-year and often have no need for any services from my program and I cant even get AIR without jumping through their hoops--theyre there because folks like me are here. Guess what, I aint going to be there again! I would give them no stars but I cant post here without at least posting one.

I had a wonderful experience at the New Hope AAA. Enrique, the manager, or one of the managers, was especially helpful to me. They looked at my car quicker than expected and Enrique was very generous with his time. I would definitely recommend going to this location for car care services.

Had my truck towed in and let them know i needed a new thermostat. They told me i blew off a hose and needed a 2500 dollar head gasket job. I had my truck towed to my job and had our head mechanic look at it. It was a thermostat and my heads were not blown. 196 dollars later and my truck is fixed. They charged me 30 dollars for a new hose and muy truck does not have a new hose any place. These guys are a bunch of crooks. 99.9percent sure i blew a head gasket is what they said.

Have used them for years for 3 different vehicles. Service was always prompt and well done. Costs were reasonable. Only came across one service writer that seemed a jerk,when it came to getting work done for my vintage car. He didnt last long. All others have been great. (Hard to get folks to work on a car thats older than they are.) Work on my other vehicles has been great. They even tackled the hateful intermittent problems, the ones that refuse to occur once you pull the car into the shop! Will continue to use them for repairs and routine service.

Ive been bringing my car to Triple AAA for years now and always received great customer service... Rich and his crew were awesome.I came this morning (July 20, 2019) and the customer service was awful... Dameon set the pace to bad experience with Triple AAA...Yes, when you come in with no appt there may be the possibility of a long wait but Ive never been told I could not be seen. When I told him, I was not going anywhere because I needed and oil change, he told me I would be here all day... how discouraging but because I am familiar with how a Saturday morning works at Triple AAA, I took my chances.... They pulled my car in around 830a, which I knew they would.However, if this is what I will have to deal with from this location, Im following Rich to the Morrisville location and get my oil changed while at work....

The staff is very friendly, however it should not take 2hrs to replace a battery under warranty and complete a state inspection. Especially, when you scheduled an appointment and the AAA center is not busy.

Had my car towed there because of a flat. Dameon told me the flat tire had wall damage and told me to buy a new tire from them. This did not make sense because the car was not driven after the flat and was less than a year old. I also inspect my tires regularly. Dameon was very rude and would not work with me at all. I had AAA tow my car across the street. They inspected the tire and found ZERO damage to it, other than the nail. NO wall damage. They took extra time to make sure they werent missing anything. They fixed it with no problems. Dameon lied to us many times during our interactions and should not be trusted. He is not there to help the customers, only himself. Very disappointed in AAA and this particular car center.

Unprofessional. They cost me my vehicle and reimbursed my nothing. I have had AAA for more than ten years and until this last time I used them for road side assistance I would have recomended them to anyone. They ruined my vehicle and avoided responsibility entirely because I signed the damage waiver form. I had a flat tire that couldn’t be replaced without drilling out a lug nut so I called them to tow it. When the driver rolled it down into my driveway he didn’t put the boards in front of the tire path that keeps the undercarriage lifted off the ground for low rise vehicles or in my case one that sat lower because of the flat tire. As a result the oil pan wasn’t protected when he lowered the van off the truck and it was punctured by the chains or gravel that it passed over. We replaced the tire and drove it half a block from where the driver delivered it and the motor locked up. I had to call AAA again to tow it back to my house and showed them the hole in the oil pan which looked like a fist sized dent but was cracked almost all the way around it and leaking oil which Clearly started in my driveway and looked out where it locked up. I called AAA to report the damages and they had a manager drive out and try to explain why it was impossible for it to be their fault and showed me the damage waiver form and said that it didn’t matter anyway because that paper meant they couldn’t be held responsible for any damages!!! I took a picture of the form and what it reads is there are already damages on this vehicle and they aren’t responsible for damages that are on the vehicle before the tow. It doesn’t say they aren’t responsible for damages during. But without the money to hire a lawyer I can’t hold them to this responsibility, and they don’t believe in integrity. I should have left it where it was and brought the tools to drill out the lug nut and brought the mounted/ balanced tire back to my van and I would have likely still be driving it. It was my brother, Carl Staten, that had the unsatisfactory experience at this site. He has completed a survey concerning the unprofessional serviceman and waste of money without service there.He stated...The service was not to my satisfactory. They took my money and then stated the job could,t be completed. They got paid for trying. The serviceman was not professional or friendly where your customers were concern. I will not be going back!!!!!!

Found a mechanic you can trust? Yeah, me neither.....Had hopes though, I know they are out there. I had an oil change last year at AAA, and asked if they could find and fix the rattle that was somewhere under my carriage, and they did both. Found out later it was fixed with what looked like a coat hanger when it loosened up, but hey, it was fixed for a while. My truck was running fine, but knocking a bit so I returned recently for another oil change and tune up, and several hundred dollars later I was taking my truck back home, but there was hesitation and shuddering in low gear and the check engine light came on. After taking it back to AAA, there was some confusion about what the problem was, and a discussion about coils, but in the end the light just apparently went out. Until I got it back home, when it came back on and the shuddering came back with a vengeance. I had Autozone in Knightdale (great folks, BTW) check the check engine light code, which had to do with my secondary air pump. So on the third trip to AAA, they said theyd figured out it was a rusted valve assembly and, you guessed it, several hundred dollars more. They had to order that part, and so I had to pick up my truck and bring it back next week. Which was lucky, because at home, I popped the hood and looked inside at what Google told me was the secondary air pump, found a couple of hoses that were loose, and refitted them. No more check engine light, and the truck is running fine. But of course they stuck me with the part (yes, several hundred dollars). So take this for what you will, needless to say I will not be back. I doubt this business counts on return customers. So the search continues......

I had my older van overheat, called for a tow and they asked if I wanted it towed here to AAA New Hope in Raleigh. I said yes and when the shop called me after they looked at my van, I was told that the water pump was bad and it would be $785 to fix it. I called my regular shop and they told me that if it was the water pump, they would fix it for about $350. I had it towed to my shop and it turned out that the water pump was fine. All the van needed was a lower radiator hose and it cost me about $225.I will never go here again.
