This is such a great resource for designers and the general public. They are helpful and so customer service oriented. They always have a great selection in stock of shades and lamps even through this pandemic they are accommodating. This store is NOT a chain and if we want to have any local businesses in Raleigh we need to support them.

Great customer service!!! My wife and I had a ground wire issue with a light fixture that we order from Amazon. The staff with Thompson-Lynch identified the issue and had it resolved in less than 5 minutes. Lighting shouldn’t be shadyMade a $6,000.00 deposit on an in stock fixture through my interior designer to George Viall, the owner. I wasnt sure I wanted the fixture and asked for my deposit back.Thompson Lynch has since sold the fixture. But still wont return my 6k deposit!They are not honest people. Id stay away.

I have purchased 5 lamps from here and just love their selections! They have some very nice and unusual lamps if you are looking for something a little different. If they are busy helping another client, I use that time to browse because when it is my turn, they take the time to really understand my needs and help me make the right decisions. I plan to go back and purchase more lamps!.

They have excellent taste and eye for proportion, especially while I was looking for replacement shades. They repaired one of my finials for no charge. They have a nice selection of unusual finials - I got a couple new ones. I received excellent service and enjoyed looking around!

I love Thompson-Lynch! My two cord switches were quickly swapped out for new ones while I browsed their lovely collection of lamps and select antiques and jewelry. A great, and necessary, establishment.

I love this store and always find Debby extremely helpful. She is always willing to work with you to get the look you want. She is also extremely helpful in getting the proportions right with shades and lamp. I have experience with other lamps stores and this is by far and away the most competent and knowledgeable.

I took two different vases into Thompson Lynch to be made into lamps. The owner, Debbie Viall, was extremely helpful in choosing the best shades for the vases. I took home gorgeous lamps!

I walked in and was ignored by the woman that was working there, talking on the phone for the ten minutes while I waited to ask a question. I dont know if its because theyre just understaffed or if I was perceived as not being rich enough to shop there. The latter was more the vibe I got, that I wasnt with her time. Which is a pity since I was looking for several thousand dollars worth of fixtures for two houses that I own.

Great! They helped me put my chandelier together and worked with me to get the right fit and the right price! Will recommend and use again!

Customer service sucks!! Walked in today with my husband looking at lamps and chandeliers. Not one person said a word. Deliberately walked in front of the desk, elderly lady didnt even look up from her cell phone. I guess facebook or texting was more important. That explains why no one was in there shopping. I wont be back
