Such a cute local spot. They talk to all of their recurring customers like family, which was so sweet to see. The food is prepared expertly. Kind and courteous staff and honestly one of the best breakfasts Ive ever had. I love in Connecticut but Im making this a staple every time Im up in the Boston area from now on.

2 stars for big portions but that’s about it. Very slow service, waited almost an hour to just get an egg sandwich. The breakfast croissant was not good and was soaked/dripping black grease everywhere. Coffee tasted like it was so burnt they used a blowtorch to brew it. I came here because of the good reviews and feel very misled. Would not recommend.

Had a chance to try some of their new vegan options. I am pretty much a meat eater. Wasnt sure if I would be filled or satisfied from these vegan items. I got the paniniVegan Chipotle Chicken & Roasted Veggie Pizza, Vegetarian Grilled Chicken Panini,Vegan Grilled Chicken Roll up, and Vegetarian Arugugual Salad. The panini and pizza was amazing. All the favors blended very well. I couldnt tell that meat was missing. The other items were okay. Definitely, would try this place again

I would not expect such low quality food products this close to a major world class city. None of their toasts were actual toast in that the bread was not toasted. An absolute embarrassment to food. Will not return and will tell others to avoid.

Great boardwalk cafe right on Wollaston beach. Outdoor seating is comfortable and spaced out, and servers are appropriately masked and gloved. The food is well done and tasty, and the selection of ice cream is great for summertime.

Delicious food. Grilled Chicken Breast Panini, and Steak Panini. The green salad was very fresh and crispy; and had a good amount of variety veggies in it. The vinegar dressing was tasty. The Coconut Almond ice cream was to die for. The ocean view was beautiful.

This is a Double Hit! I vote it best breakfast and Lunch spot on the strip. The Waitress are Friendly, Kind and Professional. If you are going there for Breakfast you have to try the Coffee, it is really tasty and fresh. The muffins are freshly baked to perfection. Moist, tasty and you will enjoy every bite. The eggs were delicious and cooked perfectly. If you choose lunch the pizza is outstanding and plentiful. Salads are also a hit and nice and fresh. You will not be disappointed. Out waitress was outgoing and interactive through our whole time there. Beautiful Smile and genuinely pleasant too. Please try this place.

A broad, seaside patio makes it a must-visit on pleasant days,as well as pandemic times, but best of all their menu has matured and is now rather good. Their popular, signature panini is a gooey slab of cheesy goodness, but theres more to choose from.The service has consistently felt a bit slow every time I visit, but perhaps Im only visiting during peak busy periods.

Gourmet on the beach! The menu is very different from your typical beach cafe and the prices are reasonable. Great spot to sit and watch the world go by. My favorite is the frozen vanilla custard with hot homemade fudge sauce.

I love this place, everything is good and it serves a niche in Quincy that no place else does.But stop making the sandwiches and burritos so soggy. Breakfast burrito literally soaking and dripping through the tin foil. A burrito isnt a burrito if you need a fork and knife to eat it. Sandwiches too. Wyd to even make them all so soggy?

Absolutely amazing! We love coming here for breakfast or just coffee and muffins. Staff is so kind, foods amazing! Great spot for French toast and great Avocado toast. In a world when many places are closing we love this place is still open!

My wife and I absolutely love this place, I’ve never had one bad thing there. Ice cream from Emac and Bolio’s, breakfast sandwiches are all very fairly priced and excellent along with the lunch sandwiches. Very generous portions of Brown sugar Bacon on the sandwich’s that come with bacon. Home fries are to die for, coffee is also as good as anywhere. The staff ‘especially the woman with the blonde hair’😊 have always been absolutely great to us. Matt is a really good owner and good guy. We spent all of last summer on the deck and stayed quite awhile and Matt never ever asked us to leave. There is only one suggestion that I’d like to add, and I’ve talked to Matt about this. You need to stay open longer ‘ALL WEEK’ many a time we would come and at 2:00 in the afternoon on a week day your kitchen is closed and even at 5 pm we came for supper and the kitchen was closed. Please try to address this, I have a few friends we sent to you and they were surprised that you were closed when they got there. My wife and I will continue to be a customer, you have great products.John and janice

They take a full chalkboard on their menu to advertise that they serve full breakfast items. Yet apparently they stop serving breakfast 15 minutes before I got there at 11:45.Coffee is okay though.

Hello Cafe Maddie (the info@cafemaddie email is bouncing back).We love your restaurant for its super yummy food and desserts. It is unique in the array of items served and high quality food.We know the service can wane a bit with help these days, so that is understandable. But we hope that your quality will not wane. Please keep up the standards of your food because that is a major point that sets you apart. Food quality and staff demeanor and professionalism go a very long way.Recently we did a quick drop by for a custard and were told only chocoate. However, we wished that they told us nothing soft serve was available.We gave our order with a blonde haired lady whom weve seen many times in the past.She seemed to forget about our order with behind the counter confusion. We waited patiently. There were 3 other staff members who argued about some hard ice cream flavor. You had plenty of staff for Labor Day lunchtime but seemingly little order or organization behind the counter.Our order taker then started getting some order together for the outside and ran that. She walked back to the counter and started doing other things. Then she noticed us standing in the lobby and said what are you guys waiting on and then she remembered.However, what she handed us was far from what we paid for. In fact, I was quite shocked. I said this is my cone? And she said yes, it is kind of soft. I really cannot believe she thought it was appropriate to hand us these items. This is a problem, from my perspective. Please see attached photos of I am permitted to add them.We would have ordered something else if we knew our item would be so far from what is pictured on the menu. Or tell us the situation at least, let us decide. Better yet, dont serve product that either isnt ready/set up yet or from a machine that is broken.I write this email because I want to see this business succeed and thrive. From my humble opinion on the outside as a customer, there are some issues that mature management need to address in setting quality standards and maintaining professional service and behavior behind the counter.

Mom and pop restaurant- great breakfast, great iced coffee- great deck (very stroller friendly). Ice cream is also very good.Reading the reviews a few people note long wait/prep times- which I agree with but it is consistent with the couple of other places along the beach too (and becoming more and more everywhere in Quincy haha).

Saweet location across the bay with awesome legit coffees, pleasant and knowledgeable baristas! Love the spacious outdoor seating area with the trendy lights. Had a nice evening outing with my siblings. Thanks! ( Did I mention sweets as well, like brownies, muffins, ice cream!!!)

Came here for a quick drink after walking along the shore. Great view in this cozy spot, and the vanilla latte was delicious. As a big recycler, this sign made my day. I wish all businesses could follow their lead!

We want to like this place. It has a nice outdoor seating, but the staff seem confused. I got there before 2 hoping to get lunch. There’s one group before me and staff is helping a customer. The staff is preparing the food of the person at the counter but has not taken her money. I wait. She’s still there. They wait until the food is ready for her to pay, about 7 minutes. Customer standing at the counter the whole time. The next person gets there. He orders . They start getting his drink. He’s still standing there. A few minutes later he pays. There’s two staff and one goes outside and chats for 5 minutes.10 minutes in one person had been helped. The next person miraculously pays when he orders not 5 minutes after ordering. I get to front I’ve been there 15 minutes. One person had gotten their food during this time. They’ve rung up 3 orders total, lunch is over. I leave.

I’ve passed this place for years driving down the south shore. Very upset that I took so long to stop by. My girlfriend suggested going on a day that we had off. Quick service, Peet’s coffee, and really good food. Oh and don’t forget the beautiful view of the beach while you eat.

Maddies serves delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner with a seaside atmosphere. I had the veggie pizza and it was great. I also love to stop for coffee after my morning walk. Staff is always pleasant and helpful.

Its not too bad a little on the pricier side. But then again it is an upscale restaurant and predominantly expensive area.There wasnt anything to really stand out that would set it apart from other breakfast places.Overall I would recommend if those type of settings are more your speed and dont mind spending the extra $ for the location.

Amazing food ...speedy service

I really give it a 3.75. The sandwich was delicious, but it took over 30 minutes to get. They were out of quite a few big items on the menu and it was only 1pm. Perhaps covid restrictions make it difficult to have more the one person out front, but between taking orders, making coffe, smoothies, and ice cream that one person was overwhelmed, and seemed to have missed my sandwich.All that being said, Id go back and see if service is better at another time .

This place is open during these crazy times, and the people who work here are awesome. Especially the older Caucasian gentleman, he is so so so nice. Every time he’s there I know I’ll get excellent service. And he’s so attentive, and fast. If you live around here definitely recommend, good food and drinks. Support your local restaurants like this one. I definitely will be stopping in when I can, while social distancing haha. They provide sanitizing wipes by the way, which is so nice!! Love them. Thanks for staying open!

Great variety of breakfast items

I had a Mocha Latte. It was pretty delicious! And the kids had their ice cream was pretty delicious. Very nice employees, coming back for their custard ice cream.

I wish I could give this place NO STARS!! I went here for my birthday with a few friends because we heard great things about them but things quickly turned into a nightmare! I ordered the caprese sandwich and was really looking forward to eating it until I saw hair inside of it. I kindly told the server that there was hair in my food and she took my plate and said she’ll have them make me a new one. Then one of my friends went to the register to grab a fork and overheard the server say that she thinks I purposely planted the hair in my food. First of all, I was starving so I almost considered removing the hair and eating it anyways and second of all I already paid for my sandwich and wasn’t asking for a refund. All I wanted was a new sandwich. After my friend told me what she heard we just decided to brush it off because we didn’t want to make a big deal out of it. A few minutes later a different guy comes out with my new sandwich and asks our table who the sandwich is for, so I raise my hand and say “for me, thank you.” He walks over to me and starts looking at my head up and down and says “I know that trick” with a rude attitude and walks away rolling his eyes at us. He was basically trying to match my hair with the hair that i found in my sandwich. Seriously dude?! That’s really immature and disrespectful of him to accuse me of planting my own hair in my food! After that happened one of my friends went to the register to ask to speak to the manager and it ended up being the dude that brought me my food and accused me. He started yelling at us and basically had too big of an ego to admit he was wrong and kept blaming us. He even threaten to call the cops on us which was stupid because we weren’t doing anything illegal besides speaking our minds. We all quickly lost our appetite and left that horrible place in a flash! This place is unbelievable! I will not be returning ever again! I know businesses have been going through a tough time during Covid-19 but that is no way to treat your customers!

Delicious food and although I didnt get a coffee, they serve Peets so I know its good! I got a pulled pork pizza and it was awesome. My wife and friends got sandwiches and they all looked amazing, I would definitely come back to try other things. They also serve ice cream. They also do breakfast, the menu to which looked tasty. This is a new establishment that was recently renovated so its in great condition. Plenty of outdoor seating with shade and a view of the ocean. I want to give a shout out to the staff. They were so nice!! We ordered in but realizing we were out of time, had to quickly leave. We had to pressure the staff to get our food out quickly during a busy hour so we could get our food to go. In the chaos they got us our food and apologized even though it wasnt their fault. Thanks for the awesome service!

I went in this morning to check it out. I love it. The iced latte I got was awesome. It took a little longer to make than I expected, the girl making seem to still be learning. But well worth it my coffee was awesome. It is cute cafe that offers simple breakfast foods, sandwiches pizza and ice cream. Cant wait to go back again to sit and enjoy my coffee rather than get my coffee and go to work.

I have one tradition, I go to coffee shops I haven’t been to and buy coffee from them. And this coffee shop has really good coffee, I liked it.

The food is good especially the breakfast panini but the service is dysfunctional. Have been 4 times and each time something has gone wrong (i.e. website said breakfast was still being served but got there and it wasn’t, ordered on DoorDash and they didn’t receive my order, ordered to go and brought out on plate, chefs not wearing mask over nose). If they can clean up these small issues this place will be a hit and will thrive in this neighborhood. I’ll keep coming back but if they work on the little things this place will be great.

Heard great reviews about this place for their food n views, my friends and I wanted to support small businesses and also to have birthday brunch there. However, I would have to say itll be my first n last visit. We Found hair in our food and they have the nerve to ACCUSE US OF PUTTING THE HAIR IN THERE OURSELVES (God please! were not that desperate for refund- or a free meal) It is UNBELIEVABLE and IGNORANT... long story short. First time ever in my life Ive encountered the WORST customer service. One of their employee was being so disrespectful and rude (Tall skinny white male cook from the kitchen-). Its all words I have and what the consequences theyll face for this horrific type of a person. Wish i can give this place “NO STARS” for customer service and how they dealt and treated their customers.

Always have drove past this place thinking it didnt look like anything special but I was wrong. We had breakfast on a nice Sunday morning which was very good. They only do breakfast sandwiches but both were delicious. Their outside seating area gives you a nice view of Boston and the ocean. Definitely plan on going back and trying their lunch sandwiches.
