Some of the worst products that you can buy. And definitely the worst customer service around. The old man that runs the company is the worst. Always different products mixed together. Have used them a 4 or 5 times in the past few years because they they could deliver when I needed it. After seeing their products I see why they have openings for delivery. Do not use them! Attach picture shows there three way and thats after I have raked rocks out. I did not ask for pea gravel and a little dirt . This will definitely be the last time I use them and I have told everyone I no do not go there

Love them! We called for an order on Saturday afternoon of 5 yds of compost. They delivered my order in less than 90 minutes. Very impressed! We will definitely be back.

Had a great experience with Puyallup Bark Supply. Their pea gravel is lovely -- uniform size, varied colors, and clean. They delivered it same-day, right on the tarp we laid out on the grass. (It was contact-less drop-off, perfect for the pandemic.) Our backyard looks awesome now!

Ive purchased bark from here a few times over the years and have had the same problem twice already. These folks run a half hour early it seems because their signs say open until 5 pm and theyve closed on me twice already half hour before 5. 4:26 pm and the doors are closed. It wouldnt be an issue if the posted hours of service were 9-4:30. Thanks fellas.

I ordered 5 yards of wood chips, not only were they able to deliver that day, the young man that delivered the chips diligently placed the chips on the tarp. Delivery drivers are ALWAYS kind and the office staff is responsive knowledgeable and know what they are talking about. Always had same day Delivery and would highly recommend this establishment

First time I called I got put on hold for a couple minutes. Gal came back on to tell me to hold for another couple minutes (totally fine), but then hung up on me. 🤦‍♀️ Finally just skipped the people altogether and ordered online without issue. Delivery appears short. Ordered 20 yards. My husband does dirt work for a living (he grades), so he knows what 20 yards of dirt looks like. I had 3 different people tell me different stories. Driver said it was 18 tons. One gal told me 1 ton of 3-way is 1200 lbs/yard which would put the deliver waaaay short. After I said this, another gal immediately came on and told me that we definately got our whole delivery and probably got more than we ordered. I have a hard time believing this as my husband literally deals in dirt all day, every day, and knows what 20 yards looks like. Google says 1 yard average weight is 1 ton. Any way you look at it, it appears that I was shorted, which is annoying when I just dropped $700 and $60 was just for the delivery fee and we are less than 4 miles from them. I understand that the delivery fee is a fixed price but somehow that just makes you feel shorted even more.

I ordered 3 yards of dirt for delivery and experienced GREAT customer service from both the office when I had a question and the delivery driver! I will be going there again for my landscaping needs!

This is just some of what was raked out of the 3 way mix that was delivered to us when our landscaper was renovating our front lawn. 3-way is typically screened to 1/2 inch which obviously this was not. It also had so many weeds in the soil that our lawn now is filled with odd weeds and looks worse than it did before the renovation. My husband reached out to Puyallup Bark Supply by email and received no response. This is not what we anticipated receiving after getting a recommendation from our contractor to order from them and we would not order from them in the future.

Ive picked up compost from them before and have been really pleased with the customer service and value for the money. I needed 10 yards of nuggets delivered and called them first because I had a pleasant first experience. Scheduling went smoothly, very nice customer service. Somehow my delivery was accidently written on the wrong day, no problem, I called, and they sent someone out right away, which was much appreciated. Except, Id be surprised if what was dropped off was actually 10 yards... What was dropped off was closer to 7/8 yards, maybe someone lost count? 🤷‍♀️Just a little disappointed this time around. Didnt experience the same value for my money. I will look for other options next time.

We have been buying small amounts of material from this place for years and picking it up myself. Finally asked them to deliver a small load of soil to the house, and the driver took advantage of the fact that my wife was the one home to dump it so it completely blocked the gates to the yard. Now this company refuses to come out and move it to a reasonable location, and I cant get a tractor into my yard to do it myself. Now I will have to hand shovel 8 yards of soil and wheelbarrow it across the yard to where it could have very easily been delivered. I should know, I used to be a commercial truck driver. I have uploaded a photo of their pile of dirt in their photo collection. I will never do business with this company again.

I purchased several loads of bark and rock from Puyallup Bark Supply over the past week. It couldn’t have been easier! Called in my order and paid over the phone, called when I got there and they sent the loader right over to fill up my truck bed. In and out in under 10 minutes (probably under 5 mostly) each time. Every employee I talked to was friendly and helpful and it could all be done while easily maintaining social distancing. Perfect! Note - if you have a short bed pickup like I do you’ll need to bring a shovel to pick up the material that falls on the ground when they dump; the loader bucket is longer than a pickup bed.

I called in a couple weeks ago for a quote on 1 yard of sand out to Federal Way and the customer service rep was super nice and helpful with my project. Definitely my favorite supplier on the South end!

We were a little hesitant to do business here just because the ratings were a bit low. We ordered rock in the morning and got it delivered about 20 minutes later. We ordered 50/50 in the afternoon and got 10 yards delivered about an hour later. We were super happy with how quick we could get the materials we needed. The product is also good quality. I will comment that the staff inside isn’t overly friendly( as others have reviewed) but we just didn’t read too much into that and it’s not the most important part of the service so we definitely would buy from them again!

I ordered 4 yards of top soil on 8/7/2020. A few small hiccups on the delivery end of it but will use them again.

Used to be fantastic but recently Ive had issues with short yards. If you buy 2 yards, youll get two buckets that are each about 1/2 to 3/4 of a yard... that gives you between a 1 to 1.5 yards. The bed on my truck is 64.5 wide x 78 long x 21 tall which works out to 2.25 yards. Last time I paid for 2 yards of something, my truck bed was at most half full so do the math. Only giving 2 stars instead of 0 because they are generally nice.

This company does not deserve a star, more like negative star. Bought 4 yards of dirt from them and had it delivered. As I told them over the phone twice just to make sure they would bring the small truck due to my where I needed the dirt delivered. They showed up with the large truck. They had to go back and change trucks, delaying my next appointment. I decided to give them another chance so I went to pick up myself a 1/2 yard of crushed rock in my pick up, not to mention they were the most expensive in town for everything that they sale, but were the close to where I live. When the kid went to load up my truck with the rock, I did not see any rock in the loader, it had looked like he dumped it all out before driving over to my truck. When I saw that he was lowering the bucket over my truck bed and I saw the crushed rock dropping into my truck I noticed there was hardly any in the bucket, So I had thought he was going to get more, but he did not. I asked if he really loaded my truck with a 1/2 yard and he said that was a 1/2 yard. Now I have loaded 1/2 yards in my truck many times over the years and this was not a 1/2 yard. when I went in to complain to the two woman In the office, the older one was talking on her cell phone to someone that was not a customer, and did not seem to care. The younger lady asked the kid if he loaded an entire 1/2 yard, he stated I did it the way my boss told me to do it. I argued that it was not a 1/2 yard and I knew it was not based on what I know a 1/2 yard looks like in my truck. It took me an entire 5 minutes to shovel it back out of my truck on to there pile. I went back It got my refund and left. No one in the office gave a hoot about customer service or even checking to see if it was a true 1/2 yard of rock. I went right down to River Road Bark and got a true 1/2 yard loaded in my truck and paid $10.50 LESS than what Puyallup charged. My truck had at least 30% more rock in my truck than what Puyallup Bark tried to rip me off of. Feel free to shop at Puyallup, but I highly recommend that you never waste your time and money at Puyallup Bark. I am sure I got ripped off of my 4 yards for dirt also.

The old man that works there is rude and short with people. Name of the game for a business like that is good customer service and the only reason I am giving them 2 stars and not 1 is because the other staff that works the front counter generally are nice and approachable. I find it crazy that they have been able to stay in business with the management that works there (considering the old man is one of the mangers)

Been coming here for years. Even though they short you on volume it is convenient. My family has been going here as well. Lost a lifetime client because of a conflict that was met with ignorance and an agressive behavior.. This manager thinks jumping to a conclusion without understanding any facts or another point of view while becoming quick tempered and a bully shows this companies point of view towards their lifetime client. Not really good at people skills or at managing a company.

Walked in and the gentleman behind the counter answered all my questions. I order some 3-way soil and it was delivered with in 30 mins. The driver Matt was quick and professional and put the dirt where I needed it. I will go there again

The Young lady behind the counter split her time talking to me and talking to another employee Never finished the conversation with me before starting with another employee When you come to this place they have the attitude of take it or leave it since they are conviently located off of Canyon Road and probably get a lot of business There is a real lack of customer service here. No one really in charge and the rude young ladies who run the counters dont treat customers like they are appreciative of them stopping by. Seems like you are inconviencing them. Ridiculous prices also on top of terrible customer service. Would give negative stars if I could. Also, never once does the company own up to their mistakes in negative reviews. They always get on the defensive instead of asking customers to contact them and provide detailed feedback on the negative experience. Guess they dont care about improving their deficiencies.

Pretty straight forward. Bring a truck and theyll fill it up with rock, sand, gravel or mulch.

Avoid it youre able. Awful customer service and my delivery was 25% lighter than it should have been. (See the owner response. Its clear that they will not try to help you after the fact either. How unfortunate.)

Horrible customer service. The girl training left the new girl to fend for herself. While I stood there waiting and then she decided to go to the bathroom. Still waiting. Then sh forgot to show her something that could have waited till after I was helped, by the way still waiting. Finally get out of there the young BOY gets my dirt and shakes 2/3 of the bucket off didnt even get the half a yard I paid for. I will go elsewhere from now on this is the third time. And it gets less and less.

I had went into Puyallup Bark supply to apply for the front counter position. Within 10 minutes of being there, the old man was yelling at me, telling me I had never worked on a register, and belittled me in front of a customer because I didnt understand what he was asking me to do (he was on the phone while telling me to hand a customers cash back to him, which was exactly what I was doing, but he acted like I was giving the customer all $1 bills or something, which I was not)...I couldnt believe it. Ive never been treated like this before by a grown man. He did this in front of a customer too and it was so very awkward for both of us, he yelled at me and said if I cant count change then he doesnt want me on a register and I was very confused because I wasnt doing anything wrong at all-I literally had been in there for 10 minutes after handing them my resume. If he treats potential employees this way, I can only imagine how he treats his customers. It was a very bad and unprofessional experience/environment. Do not spend your money here-unless you like being treated worse than dirt, which is what these clowns specialize in. I know I wasnt there as a customer but I want people to know this is how they treat their employees, so I can only imagine what happens when a customer brings up an issue with them.

Their loader is a 3/4 yard bucket..... you pay for 1 yard and get less then what you paid for...... if you buy a yard and a half you will receive 1 yard.
