The employees are friendly, all around a good group. Prices and quality of groceries are good. Its been here a long time and im glad it still is.

Its Safeway employees are helpful when you need them. Usually dont have issues here. Sometimes they are short staffed but they do the best they can.

Went in here to send a FedEx package and honestly took me a moment to find it. Happens to be right up front in the middle and is at the customer service desk. A little sign in the front as you walk in would have been nice as they had signs posted for every other thing, so it seems.However after I found the female staff to help me was very pretty, had a great smile, and she made it all worth it. I appreciate it her and I would go back again.

Store employees are great. Pharmacy practices are inconsistent and the customer service from the pharmacists horrible. They don’t have compassion or any sense of an “above and beyond” mentality. Shopping there is great, but I’d suggest choosing a more consistent pharmacy to regularly utilize.

The venerable downtown Puyallup Safeway is a smaller store but maintains most of the normal Safeway inventory. They have a particularly good selection of ornamental plants and flowers as well as complex helium balloons for many occasions!Managed by decent folks in my decades of patronage, thanks you all.😺🤞

A tiny version of the bigger stores.I wasnt happy that they didnt carry sour dough bread. 🤨 I noticed that they didnt carry a big selection of stuff but what they did offer was good. Store was clean and employees were helpful and nice.

Sorry to have bothered the so called worker on self checkout named marleigh or something like that, long black hair and way too tight of pants for her body style. Get pants that fit.Acted put out anytime she had to actually do her job and walk to the machine. Seemed more interested in talking bad about other employees and cashiers working at the same time. Spent all her time talking with another woman who looked annoyed and if someone needed help they were put on hold until she felt like doing her job. Very disappointing, bad attitude and talked down to customers. Not returning

This location is small, so they may not have everything that youre used to seeing. Its a nice, clean store though.

The cashiers are always friendly and helpful. The store carries fresh foods as well as ready to eat. The atmosphere is small towny and thats what keeps bringing me back

There produce looked terrible. Ripe bananas, brown pineapple and got sushi and the rice was like chewing on a rock. There quality has gone way down and its not just this store. Back to Fred Myers I guess.

Me and my husband had a quick grocery shopping last night. All staff are all pretty young . Cashier and courtesy clerks are just busy chatting. My husband even ask cashier how is he doing but no response but continued to talk to the courtesy clerks hanging out at the same checkstand. I understand sometimes we need to take a break and talk to co workers but ignoring the customer and lack of common manners should be also observed. The store and other staff are nice my rating is just for the young guy whos cashier last night and the 3 courtesy clerks hanging out there busy chatting.

Rice in my sushi platter was super hard and inedible. Deli sandwiches and lunchables tasted old.

This particular store is always disappointing. The people who work there are surly, angry, and overworked. I recommend you go elsewhere.

I highly recommend not buying the sushi from here. My spouse got sick after he ate it and it was not worth the 12 dollars I spent on it.

A smaller location, which I prefer. Not too long ago they added self-serve checkouts for convenience. Everyone is super friendly and masked up. Highly recommended.

Excellent customer service. The staff were very well informed about the products they sold here and were very kind in helping me locate what I needed. The pharmacy staff in particular are very nice and help run you through any questions you may have about the medications you are picking up from there. When I called to see if my prescription was ready, they also informed me in advance what my copay would be which was very helpful.

This was my first time in this safeway. I stopped in to pick up food from the deli for lunch. I was very surprised to find out that there is no deli. I had never been to a Safeway that fid not have a deli. The cashier said it was because the building is old. They sell a very limited amount of prepared foods. I picked up some boneless precooked chicken bites that turned out to be over cooked. It was very disappointing. The staff was very professional. The store was very clean, lots of parking space. Easy to get into and out.

I like this place but they need new electric carts for us old people that cant walk very far

This is my favorite go to place either to grocery shop or for the forgotten last minute dinner item. Its smaller than most but has everything I want usually and is easy to navigate thru. The last few times, tho, I have gone late in the evening and have been approached by homeless people asking for food or money. It can be a little daunting but the workers are aware and seem to try to handle it.

As always, the staff at the downtown Puyallup Safeway were AWESOME! And as usual, there was a gentleman who appeared to be either battling mental illness, drug addiction, or both, having a fist fight with a figment of his imagination in the parking spots right next to the doors by the bakery. And as usual, there was a belligerent man screaming profanities and threatening one of the male employees. And as usual, the male employee was calm, respectful, but firm with the man who was berating him. I love this Safeway because the employees are beyond great. But i am POSITIVE not one single employee there gets paid what theyre worth! Especially the night shift. Ive seen these employees take abuse from customers that youd think would push anyone over the edge, and they remain so calm, never raise their voice, never overstep the line to inappropriate (although im sure nobody would blame them if they did with some of the things ive heard people say to them and threaten them with). Basically what im saying is, if you shop the downtown Puyallup Safeway, on Meridian and 7th, by the fairgrounds, dont forget to tell the employees how much theyre appreciated. Because im sure they dont hear it enough. And they absolutely deserve it.On top of their regularly assigned job duties, they also act as security guards, and absolutley have and will put themselves between any customer and any sort of danger. Keep up the good work guys!!! It is noticed and it is definitely appreciated!! I hope someone gets this to corporate so you guys get recognized for all the extra you do!! Employees like you guys are why people continue to shop this location!!

Super friendly cashiers. Selection is tough everywhere during COVID pandemic, but they still have lots to offer, usually just about everything on my list. Store is always clean.

My only concern is they are so many mistakes on my sales receipts on a consistent basis Im charged full price for something that its on sale or I dont get the test for you discount even though I scanned it into my app on my phone while Im in the store its just frustrating I mean the manager did call me and extend to credit me for difference between some milk that I bought which was you know like a $1.20 I never went down and got it I should have but it was like $1.20 you know but it adds up one day it was like $4 for a frozen pie that was supposed to be you know with justforu special... So make sure you watch the register when your stuffs being rang up... But I mean the employees are pretty nice. I dont know, some of the people working the self-checkout seem kind of put out at times like when I need assistance for, say I have a 50% off coupon on meat or you know any kind of stuff like that you need their help and sometimes they just act like its, you know like ... its beneath them or theyre too busy or something. Great produce! And meat! both kind of expensive but its really good, I wouldnt buy hamburger anywhere else now after having Safeway hamburger ...

They always only have one check stand open and wait till theres 10 people in line to call somebody else and when they call somebody else it takes them 5 minutes to get there. The self checkout isnt open early enough so if I have one drink I have to wait behind 10 people with full shopping carts BS!

Only visit this location in a pinch. Usually long lines and lots of out if stock items. Also, this is a small store so they dont have items you might expect them to have. No deli, plus tiny bakery, produce, and meat departments.

Always shop Safeway no matter where Im at. Best produce, meat and always great prices! Great service, friendly service and lots of cashiers so service is fast....

Kayla was the rudest cashier I’ve ever met. I said I need the green monopoly cards and she said “yeah I know. Believe it or not, I know what I’m doing.”I brought a reusable bag and was ready to bag the TWO items that I bought and she said “no, you can have this” and thrusted them at me in a plastic bag.Really uncalled for. No costumer service skills.

Jodi the pharmacist was super nice. She answered all my questions and she was very friendly. She even got me a glass of water so I could take some DayQuil. She was extremely knowledgeable and super sweet and cared about how I was doing. I had a wonderful experience at this store because of the wonderful customer service. :)

Stop by just to pick up a couple of things I needed for dinner, and was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Nice employees very helpful. Good place to shop if youre in downtown Puyallup.

Well theyre finally up with the sign of the times and have self checkout which is nice they had beef very expensive but expected they had everything I went there for and everybody was wearing their face masks employees as well as patrons which I appreciated was a good stop this time
