After 4 years living in a house with fogged windows, I decided to fix the issue. I called 4 companies to come out and give me an estimate and these guys were by far the best. No excessive sales pitch, just good advice and a reasonable price. All communication and contract signing was very timely, and from first contact to installation was less than a month. I replaced 16 sections of glass on 10 windows and they all look great! They were respectful of my house and cleaned up before they left. Overall a great experience and Id definitely use Puget Sound Window & Door again!
I emailed Puget sound window and door to get a quote on replacing some windows. Rick emailed me and told me to call him to discuss. When I called, Troy answered and said Rick was unavailable. He insisted he could help. We discussed my windows that were failing and needed to be replaced. He said they could replace them or replace just the glass. He explained to me that my windows were called gable windows and reassured me they could replace them. I just needed to get rough estimate of the dimensions and email them to him for a quote. I emailed the measurements to him. The next day he emailed me back and said they could not do gable windows.Long story short, unless your windows are square and easy to access, Id probably look elsewhere for a replacement window company.
We purchased custom ThermaTru fiberglass doors through Puget Sound Window and Door. They came to our house and did a free in-home consultation helping us with our wood stain color choices bringing actual samples of the various door finishes. We settled on a different color finish for the interior that matched our other trim and a darker color exterior finish that matched our garage doors. We had a couple delays in the installation date due to some problems at the factory that werent P.S. Window and Doors fault. Once the new installation date was established, they were actually early (we got a phone call before to make sure it would be OK), and once installed, the doors are beautiful. The installation took about three hours and was very high quality with no trim work left for me. Were very happy with our new doors.
I finally got my garden window that Ive waited for years for. Called Puget Sound Window and Door they came out right away to discuss what I wanted and we also had to replace a few window glass too. Took the measurements waited for it to be made and it is so beautiful I love it so much. Makes the kitchen brighter and look bigger. They installed everything in one day I should say in one morning. Cleaned it and took the mess with them. Great service, great job. couldnt of asked for anything more. We will be returning for more work. Thanks for the great window and job Puget Sound Window & Door.
February 12th I found them on Google maps and checking out their website seen their installers are actual employees and not contractors. This means something to me so even though they were not the best price I decided to go with them. They wanted me to take measurements and I did that while on the phone with them and giving a description as they are kinda fancy.February 14th They got back to me and stated the total to replace it was going to be $986. They then requested 50% upfront so I paid over the phone $538.85. I asked if I could get an invoice so we had something in writing and was told they would send one. I did receive and automated email when they ran my credit card but no invoice. The next step was to schedule their people to look at the window and do final measurement.February 17th I was put on the schedule to have them come out and double check the measurements before they order the replacement. Two men showed up and it was then determined that there was a film on it and the coating that would go on the replacement may not match the other so after consideration we decided to replace both to make sure they match. We were told they would be in touch shortly after they figure out the price to now replace both.February 20th I got a call stating they found someone to make it and the updated price of $1850 plus tax. (It was confusing that how did they know what they were going to charge us on Feb 14th but today they just found someone who could make it. But anyways we were then told that when it comes in they would be in touch. Again I asked if I could get an invoice or something in writing. I did not receive anything.February 27th. I got a call stating they will get them in and expect a call on March 13th to schedule an install.March 16th (not 13th) got a call. They are in and had an opening tomorrow the 17th at 7AM and would like to install. We agreed and Im pretty sure I asked again for an invoice on this call but cannot say 100%.March 17th Got a call as the installers did not have our full address? I verified our address. Installers showed up and were courteous. It took them 1.5 hours to remove the old glass and install the new. My only issue with them was, and maybe its an industry thing, they didnt clean with windows... So when they removed all the packing stuff each of these large new windows and a square that was clean because of the film they removed but then dirty all around the edges. Then my wife said there was cardboard or something stuck to the outside. I went out and after 20 minutes with small picks got a 1X1 clay/or some other materiel dug out of behind the weatherstripping. It was a pain in the you know what because I didnt want to damage it.Jump to March 31st. The two men that came out on Feb 17th knocked on our door at 2PM and and envelope and stated we have a balance you forgot to, I then interrupted him and stated, that would be the first time we ever got anything in writing from you. I then explained everything above and they checked out the windows and I showed them where I had to remove that stuff. They left telling me to call in to pay the balance and I told them no problem. I then noticed that there was a missed call on our home phone at 9:20AM today stating the outstanding balance. So I called the office back and payed the balance $1483.20 over the phone. I explained to her that we have never received an Invoice and she stated the installers were to have left one. After hearing that it then explains why they didnt have an address, they didnt have the invoice as its printed nice and large on there.Kind of a different experience we had. I would still have them quote a project.
Puget Sound Windows did an outstanding job replacing my window !! My window is extremely large, radius, and dual paned, which is no easy task at all. I’m beyond impressed with the quality of their work performance, knowledge, and responsiveness to complete my window. Everyone made this stressful process easy for me with their patience and kindness. Thank you so much !! I highly recommend anyone that has window issues to come to this company for sure !!
If you want quality fo with these fuys!
It took almost 3 months to get a quote on a custom dog door for our slider and the quote was well over $3,000. Not very professional, I strongly suggest getting a couple quotes before deciding to do business with Puget Sound Window & DoorUpdated 8/19/20 at 7:13pm Just to clarify My initial call was in early May. I was asked to get additionalInformation to get a quote. When I got the information back to this company they told me they in fact never needed this information to provide me a quote. Essentially wasting 2 months of time it took to track down the manufacturer of my sliding glass door. All by giving my the wrong information from the first call. I made 3 initial calls in March and left my contact information with two different employees at that time. You STILL have my contact information and if you would like to resolve the mistake you made you may do so by reaching out to any time. Either way a mistake was made and it is discouraging that you can’t own or even attempt to wring the mistake you made. The fact that you responded to my review instead trying to resolve my concern only further supports your lack of professionalism.
Great experience working with Mike on replacing the original 1920s windows on our home. Mike was quick to respond to questions and offered helpful advice along the way. Installers were fast, efficient and professional. Would use them again!
The locking latch on my sliding glass door broke recently. Unable to find a replacement at several hardware stores and online, I went to Puget Sound Window & Door today hoping that they might have the part. The kind lady told me they dont actually sell parts, but she would look to see if they had what I needed. A few minutes later she came back to the showroom with the exact part I needed. She would not accept any payment. Thank you so much for your help. It was greatly appreciated.
Todd at Puget Sound Window & Door made the entire discovery, ordering, and project process an absolute breeze. He explained everything, offered varying proposals based on our random requests, and responded quickly every time we had a question. The installation team is amazing - in and out in half a day (cutting out 15 old single pane windows, and installing 9 new replacements). They were courteous, incredibly attentive to keeping their work area clean, and worked more efficiently than any team Ive ever seen. All around very happy with our experience, and happy with the end result!
Sarah was determined to find the answers to my complex and unusual install questions. She contacted Marvin, the manufacturer more than once. Her knowledge was technical, she was helpful and understandable. True customer service, months after the sale. Thank you Sarah.
It was an easy process. I called and provided window measurements over the phone and they provided a quote. They sent somebody out a short-while later to verify the measurements. A couple weeks later they installed the new windows in about 15 minutes. They were always professional and pleasant to deal with.
This company is wonderful to work with! I have shopped around with several other companies and Puget Sound Window and Door has the best prices! Their employees are friendly and courteous as well! The gentlemen that come out to the house to install the windows are timely, professional, and efficient!
This company just finished replacing 23 large windows in our Seattle church fellowship hall. The experience was first-rate in all respects. Holly promptly made a site visit and came up with an excellent price for top of the line Milgard windows. Ozzie and Manuel removed the old windows and installed the new window windows in one day. They were extremely professional and kept the work areas extremely clean. I would strongly recommend this company for any window replacement project.
Working with Mike was great. He had great attention to detail, and addressed all my concerns for the design. The installers did a speedy job with good quality especially when enlarging two windows. They were conscientious and cleaned up carefully. My Milgard windows look and work great.
Prompt, courteous and clean! These folks know windows and i have used them a couple of times. i have great experience from their staff, and I find they have met my criteria for FIRST TIME QUALITY and do the job right!!!!!They know glass and hardware! Thanks guys!Ian
We chose Puget Sound Window and Door because of their customer service and professionalism. Todd Sessions and the entire staff were personable, engaged and demonstrated considerable knowledge in the various products. We are known to take our time and we never felt pressured. We selected Simonton windows and they are beautiful! We then ordered a Rogue entry door. A special thank you to the expert installers and to the owner who personally made two visits. We will recommend Puget Sound Window and Door to all of our friends and family.
Our 1940 home has its original windows, with storms over the top. We decided to replace our living room picture window, which was an energy suck -- you could see the gaps in the window panes, and the smaller windows that didnt open. Puget Sound Window was patient with us while we got a zillion bids, and took months to make a decision. We came back to them because they were quality focused, easy to work with, and gave a complete picture of our options. The installation team was incredible. Their attention to detail was above and beyond most contractors I have worked with. I would choose Puget Sound Windows in a heart beat.
Great service from start to finish. Windows are excellent and my house feels much cooler. Salesman Todd had great suggestions during our first meeting and explained everything. Installers were wonderful and fast.
I had a great experience. Very professional team did accurate measurements the first time and installed them on time. Discussed any potential problem areas and planned for them. Very careful installation team cleaned up after themselves. Still smiling!
Great service and professionalism! The crew was great and much cleaner than I expected. The whole experience was great. I would highly recommend using Puget Sound Window & Door.
Great prices prompt service.
Great customer service.
Knowledgeable people. Prompt service.
Many thanks to Mike and Puget Sound Window and Door for excellence in service and responsiveness! A true pleasure doing business with you!
This company may be fine to work with assuming nothing goes wrong. But if it something does go wrong, they will not take ownership for their products. They knowingly installed a defective window in my home and the owner Rick told me in an email, The product workmanship is a Milgard issue. We have performed our obligation and I expect full payment promptly.Spoke to the company on the day of installation when the problem came to my attention and they said theyd contact Milgard for me and request service. Agreed to pay the majority of the balance even though I was skeptical theyd be motivated to fix the window if I paid the balance in full.I paid ~90% of what was owed leaving $250 due. Waited nearly two weeks, heard nothing.Holly had forgotten to place a service request. When I alerted her she didnt understand why I was upset and challenged me that the window did work and simply wouldnt latch. I asked her to call her installers and confirm the defect herself if she didnt believe me. She said the installers were too busy, that she would come out and see for herself. If the window doesnt latch that is still a problem as well. After they finally scheduled service Milgard to come out, it was adjusted but then jammed again the next day. I called Holly and she said that aluminum windows are difficult to open and close - meaning the problem is me.My window is still not fully functional but the owner contacted me to demand payment for the remaining $250 on my account. I figured they would want to make sure the window was fixed before chasing me down for the balance, but clearly they dont hold themselves accountable in any way. It has been an enormous inconvenience to schedule multiple additional visits from service technicians and they company could care less for the inconvenience theyve caused by 1) installing a defective product and 2) neglecting to request service for the defective product. They firmly stand by the policy that once the window is in, it is not their problem.Lastly, they did not deliver or install the screens on the installation day. I had to buy additional parts and have someone else install them. Holly was supposed to deliver them one day, didnt show up, then came a different day at a different time. Clearly no regard for the customers time or inconvenience.*Note how the owners response does not actually address any of the customer service complaints I made in my review. After the weeks had passed that they dropped the ball fixing the BROKEN WINDOW THEY INSTALLED and then the Milgard service tech came out once, for subsequent visits - I had trouble keeping the automatically generated appointments that were emailed to me without consulting me due to important personal issues - when I communicated not to auto-schedule any more appointments they were rude, unkind, condescending and unhelpful. Ultimately I decided it wasnt worth it to deal with this kind of business. Before you hire them, take a look around on the BBB website and consider carefully if their work is not up to your satisfaction that they will still expect payment in full before the job is done and could even file a lien on your property.
Needed a window repaired e mailed to set up a an appointment havent heard from anyone for a couple weeks i can only assume they only want to do a complete house and not waist the time to do a repair..... could have at least referred me to another window company
Great experience. Promt and courteous.
