To say AAMCO went above and beyond is an understatement. I wont try to recount the whole issue, but what could have been a nightmare for me to deal with, was made incredibly easy through Puyallups AAMCO superior service.

I am a single working mother who has very little time. When my car started making weird noises and acting funny, I was referred to Tedy at Aamco. He took the car in and told me exactly what the problem was in terms that I could understand. I knew what options I had and exactly how much it would cost. I appreciated his sense of urgency in wanting to get me back into my vehicle. He treated me like his highest priority and never wasted my time or money. I can honestly say that I will go to Tedy for any issues with any vehicle I will ever own.

Once the transmission came in the repair was done quicker than expected. Tedy was easy to deal with.

Ram cummins dont have good transmissions,68rfe. Knowing this I bought a remanufactured one with all the upgrades for my 2500 Ram with 150,000 miles. Received 2 different trannys that were bad. So Teddy honored the waranty and put a new tranny with all the upgrades. Tranny runs great. Hard to find Professionalism, truth and honor now a days. I found it at AAMCO in Puyallup.

My transmission managed to destroy itself about 11 days ago. I had the truck towed to AAMCO in Puyallup after speaking with Tedy on the phone. They got the vehicle checked out and Tedy called me back within 2 hours to give me an estimate. I authorized him to begin the work and he gave me a timelines of 2 weeks.and explained everything that would be done. Imagine my surprise when the work was completed earlier than expected and right at the price he quoted. I am very pleased with this service and with the way Tedy manages his business. I will definitely recommend Puyallup AAMCO to friends and family and will return myself if I ever need transmission work done again. The transmission in my 2003 needed to be replaced. Several shops were scheduling out 3-4 weeks. I spoke to Tedy at Aamco (Manager) and he was fabulous. He was able to schedule service within the week, provided information to have the vehicle towed, kept in touch once the diagnoses was made, provided several options for replacement and explained everything along the way. The warranty on the transmission is great and my tahoe drives like it did prior to the transmission failing. I am very happy to provide a recommendation for this business. Thank you Aamco and Tedy. Brought my car here after my shift selector broke on my transmission. Had them replace the clutch, flywheel, shift fork, shift extender and some other related parts. Car runs like a champ again after the clutch broke in and they made all the repairs in a reasonable time.

I had a rare transmission and they went out of their way to exhausted all options and really helped me brainstorm a solution. Overall like having a friend who knows transmission stuff.

I was very impressed by the service here. I brought in my 09 Corolla for a CV axel and wheel barring issue. They were honest about what really actually needed to be fixed (just the axel) and provided a very good price for it. I changed transmission oil on my honda crv, easy and fast.

My truck was at this place for over a week and they still could not tell me why my check engine light was on. Then they said I needed a new battery and tried charging me $200 for it. There was nothing wrong with my battery when I brought the car in, all lights were working fine. Had to bring my car somewhere else after waiting over a week to find out one simple check engine light. The other place diagnosed my car the same day

They installed a after market transmission, made me replace my radiator and get a front tire otherwise it would void the warranty. Transmission was installed less than 1yr ago and they will not honor the warranty. Total spent on vehicle to repair and breakdown in less than 1yr. $7000. This company is robbing people and I intend to file a lawsuit for my cost of transmission and all forced repairs. Do Not Take Your Car to AAMCO OR YOU TO WILL BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. Took my car in for a transmission flush, ended up having a problem with my transmission. Luckily it was still under warranty, rather then completing the service and sending me on my way they advised me in the right direction to go. I am very great full for all the help I received at no cost to me. The staff is amazing all around from the service at the front to the work in the garage. The high quality of work they provide is why I chose them in the first place, but their integrity and customer service will keep me coming back for future services. Highly recommend.

They do not call back or give updates. Quoted 1000 and was billed 1800 with no phone call of information about what was done to my car. Was told two days and it took 8. Have had nothing but bad experiences.

People this is the place for quality work. Im from Tennessee and my Transmission went out. After reading the reviews and needing a national warranty I had the tow driver drop my truck off after hours. Dan called me the next morning and long story short I was back in my truck in less than a weekI have a bigger better trans, new CV joints new water pump they went above and beyond my expectations. Took 2 cars here. Receive a quote even after knowing what was wrong with the car and telling them what the dealership said. 1st car when we came back to pick was 350 over the quote and it took them 3 extra days to fix it.2nd car we were quoted 700 but had to pay 1200 when we picked it up.Very unorganized and when they call you they try to upsell on service and or more expensive parts.I dont ever give any place a 1 star review. But I was screwed twice by this place. Not going to happen a 3rd time

Talked to one manager, he was nice and said hed get me a appraisal and that my car was protected on the lot, next thing I know another manager went and auctioned off my car without talking to anyone. Im now waiting for higher up the chain to solve this unacceptable and unforeseen incident.Yes they responded acting like it was a accident but theres the same managers i have same phone, and I checked my email daily, we had another vehicle in there, in and out during the time frame the vehicle was there and made comments on it, not only is my car still unreturned to me, the other vehicle had to be brought to another mechanic. I also downloaded their app and set it up, turned out to be completely useless like the managers and employees working hereThey also made a attempt to act like they looked at it and knew what was wrong after telling me they never looked at it before it was towed away, so they had just a normal maintaice list and nothing that was actually wrong with the vehicle written up. This shop is just full of liars and I feel bad for anyone that decides to do business here.

Its been 9 months and my car still not fixed. Its the worst experience I ever had with a repair company.

This shop is now on my list of go to shops for my automotive needs. We have worked with Jennifer before and loved her. This was our first experience with Ryan and we feel the same about him. We all know auto repairs are like everything else terribly expensive, but it helps when the shop works with you to help you save money and also stands behind their work.

Staff was kinda rude, but did an outstanding job on the needed repair.

I originally went in with what I thought to be a problem with my transmission as it was misbehaving. They checked the fluid and it was fine and quickly eliminated the transmission as the cause. It turned out to be a sensor. I was thrilled and relieved to hear as instead of thousands to fix, it cost hundreds.

Horrific service! Last year was pricey but good, this year totally unscrupulous.

I took my truck to aamco and was met with honesty about my transmission. During replacement of the transmission they found the rear main leaking and replaced it at a cost of only the part and repaired a fuel leak free of charge while they were at it. Highly recommend aamco of Puyallup!!

You will experience nothing but frustration when dealing with this location & their Auburn shop. Amazing how much more they charge you on parts to add to their bottom line. Say that they care for their Customers, however, lets be honest they are a chop shop.

Great Service!Took my car in last month as my transmission seemed to be misbehaving.They were very busy and looked backed up, so I left my car overnight.Dan got back to me the next day and told me that my transmission was fine, but informed me that my car had drivability issue mostly related to the fact that I had not done a tune up since I bought the car.So far, so good.My car seems to be driving normally again.

On the way home from doing errands I noticed steam coming from my hood, I stopped to see if they could look at my car and although they were very busy they looked at my car and had it fixed within an hour or so. both gentlemen were very polite will definitely return for any other service I may need

Let me start by saying, i was blown away by the treatment i recieved, the knowledge of Brian and his crew, especially Cory. I was treated as if I were their only cuatomer and ultimately received a diagnosis and repair that i originally didnt believe. My car was stuttering while going uphill unless i went into lower gear at higher revolutions. When i took the overdrive off My car worked fine. I assumed it was my transmission. So i looked for free transmission inspection coupons and found a place who does this only on Saturdays. I went there and was diagnosed with a bad torque converter but they needed me to come back so they can run another diagnostic test on my car. So i scheduled this for a differnt day, took the time off work and sure enough, i needed a new torque converter. It would cost me 1500 for that job but no guarentees that i wouldnt need a total rebuild but they couldnt tell me that until they tore the transmission out of the car. By that time, i figured i would have no choices but to follow their advise I thought about this option for a minute and then grudgingly said fine. Lets get it scheduled. When we looked into their openings, i would be coming back in a other 8 days, and have to leave my car for over 2 weeks while they worked on it I asked why so long, the reply was, well, we have over 60 cars here i took that as they dont want my business and cancelled my appointment and left with the plan to find an alternative solution. I called two more places. One told me that because my car had over 150,000 miles he wouldnt repair the transmission and tried to sell me a 4600 dollar used/rebuilt transmission The other shop i called was Aamco. I spoke with Brian and was glad i did. Brian listened to my complaint with my car. He told me to bring it by and he will have one of his mechanics go for a ride with me. Which i did and when we got back, they hooked the car up to a code reader and found my car had no codes. But it was definitely missing somewhere in the engine. They asked me if I wouldnt mind leaving the car with them overnight so they can retest it when it was cold. The very next day, Brian called me and told me they got several codes that are leading them to think my spark plugs are the problem. He asked me if i would authorize them to replace them. I said sure since they have never been replaced. They repalced the spark plugs, boots. A few other items and 464 dollars later my problem was solved. No transmission torque converter for 1500, no rebuilt transmission for 4600 dollars and best of all no wait time of over 2 weeks!! I cant say enough about finding this shop and more importantly finding someone who wont just sell me a service or part just because they can. Oh sure, he could have fell right in line with other shops and sold me a 1500 dollar torque converter but he knew that wouldnt have fixed my problem and would have led to a poor review. I am happy, i am satisfied, and am willing to spend my time ranting on this page to say so. Thank you Brian and Cory for your honest and strong work ethics I will bring my other cars and recommend your shop to all I know.

I had to get 3 transmission on my car in 3 years no way a person should have to get a transmission once a year and I found out my muffler system was switch because when I got my new muffler I told ammco these is not my muffler So when I put a new muffled on my car found out that muffler system with very very old a had holes in the muffler it was a cheap muffler in it when I had a expensive one so my advice do not go to this business

They genuinely cared about my well being and worked around my schedule to help me get back on the road. They did a great job replacing my transmission and drive line. They even went out of their way to help me by getting some parts when I was having a hard time getting them, and threw in free transmission fluid for me.

Ryan was awesome! He was honest and even checked out my serpentine belt as curteousy! After being informed I needed it replaced from a dealership Ryan took the time to look at it for me and tell me the honest truth about required replacement on items for my vehicle and when. Hugs prices are reasonable and customer care is extraordinary! I will trust his judgement any day! He cares more about your vehicle and you rather then money.

Excellent customer service, they took care of me every step of the way. The initial check did take over 2 hours, but I had the clutch replaced and let me know what was going on throughout the process. I ended up needing 2 shaft seals and the master cylinder replaced as well, they called and confirmed that I wanted it done and to let me know the price. Tony even took pictures of the bell housing that was scored by the pressure plate, and showed me what broke on the pressure plate. And when I was ready to pay, he remembered to put on the military discount. Probably the most honest shop manager Ive ever dealt with.

Do not go here. Do not go here. I am really very disappointed in the quality of their work. I had a new Transmission put in my truck. I had to go back in 2 months after it was done because something was wrong. They pulled it out and repaired whatever it was then a 6 mo later it was having issues again. They said I needed new hoses. So I spent over 1000,00 replacing them. I take it back in 1.5 years later and they said it needs to be pulled out and worked on and will not cover it under their warranty. Beware you have to take your new transmission in every year for a yearly check or they will not warranty the transmission. So my new transmission has 13,000 miles on it and it needs work now. You know Ammco I was going to recommend you but now no..Do whats right fix the transmission? Have good customer service. Obviously, you do not my return business. I will not recommend you nor will I ever use you. Im so mad I just might stand outside your business and let everyone know, not to go here. I should of went with Dodge as they will warranty their work and transmission. Im just asking for you to make this right..........Warranty your work...Good Costumer service.

The mechanic was knowledgeable and the staff was very friendly. I had my intake cleaned, they removed and installed intake manifold to clean it out. The problem I have is that they told me to recheck and do a final torque on the intake manifold once I moved down to California because the military was moving me. No shop or mechanic has every told me to do a final torque on anything, but it was simple enough so I was going to do it. I was getting my breaks changed at another place in California and I had them check one of the bolts and it kept on spinning, I verified it as well. I talked to the ammco at this location and asked them was the bolts they used were they switched for my intake manifold? They did switch out them with a different bolts and they even said they might of over tightened it which possibly could of caused it to get stripped. Now I am in a bind because this location wont buy a new part for me even though they were the ones that screwed up the part to begin with. Im in California with no way of getting a new part because there is none in stock according to the ammco here and the ammco in Puyallup wont replace a item they screwed up on. BOTTOM LINE: DONT TRUST A MECHANIC WHEN THEY SAY DO A FINAL TORQURE YOURSELF. The customer should never have to do that. Lesson learned... now im out another $500 because this location wont help, and no way of getting my truck fixed at this time.

I made appointment for an oil change for $24.95, but later I looked at all the bad reviews and called back to cancel. The manager asked why and I explained to him I just read all the bad reviews. He convinced me to give him a chance and explained he just took over a the manager.I am happy to say that the service was good and I had no issues and the manager was friendly and helpful.

Overall pretty good service rebuilt transmission works great. but when I got home I gave my truck a once over and noticed the front driveshaft u-joint strap bolts were all loose and was missing a rear drive shaft carrier bearing bolt.

Excellent service, Honesty (Im not kidding!! Was told my back brakes are getting bad, but said that they would last for a couple more months, knowing that I was tight on money and didnt try and swindle me out of getting something I didnt need exactly at that time nor could afford at that time) Dan and all the guys there are rockstars!

Asked for brake work, could have made a good deal of money off of me, but they told me I only need an adjustment. Still 40% good.
