This is my favorite hometown hardware store. They are always pleasant and helpful. I often have strange hardware requests and they can always help me find a solution for whatever project Im working on.

Very understanding and helpful staff made the shopping efficient. Happy that they sell propane by the pound for my partially filled tanks.

As always I was waited on promptly and courteously. I dont get around like I used so I asked if they could get the item I wanted. I was told they would and got it and checked me out.Always nice people at Aubuchon

Not that the store is outdated, quite the opposite, they have EVERYTHING, and they have the best Employees to make sure you get exactly what you need. Great quality, great selection, and knowledgeable friendly people to help. Oh, and competitive prices too! I love ordering online and going in to pick up. Friendly people have it all ready, I sign and leave. They have what I need and they are so convenient. I can be in and out before I would have walked from the parking lot into one of the big home improvement store!

The Aubuchon Hardware store in Putnam is a great place to go when you need something quick for a project. If they do not have what you are looking for, they normally have suggestions for a good substitute. If they don’t have that, they can normally tell you where you can go to get what you need. Always very helpful and they make you feel welcome. I have been going there for many years and have always been very satisfied.

They were amazing. I had a base to a ceramic christmas tree that needed to be rewired made in 1969. He fixed it with new wiring so I can plug in my moms tree!!

The prices are a bit high but they know their stuff if you need help with a do-it-yourself project. I can count on them to give me good advice if I need it. Its nice to have a local hardware store that can do that for you

I am incredibly grateful for the kind gentlemen who were working today. I was stranded with my nieces and needed a jump. They stopped what they were doing, pushed my car out of its parking spot and gave me a jump start. I would do business with them any day. Genuine and kind people. Thank you again!

It may not have the extensive selection of a Home Depot, or a Lowe’s, but it has most things you may need to check off items on your Honey-do list. They have a wide variety of hardware, easy parking at the front and back of the store, friendly, helpful staff, and an easy to access discount program. Sometimes, you really don’t want to make that trip to the big box store, and you really don’t have to with Aubuchon very near the heart of Putnam.

Hardware stores are in a difficult position, unless they are the size of a warehouse. But unless you need something unusual, Aubuchon is likely to have it. The staff is helpful, and can order things that arent kept in stock. They also provide services such as key grinding.

Staff is very knowledgeable, the ones I dealt with atleast. Good place to get keys copied, and to grab anything needed for home improvement work.

Old School hardware store has most of what you need. Had a hard time making duplicate car keys for late model cars. Very helpful.

Always have what you need and always helpful. I think its the only place in Putnam that makes keys anymore.

I dont know how they do it but they always seem to have the things Im looking for.A weird size bolt...yes.A paint color your child wants... yes.A gerre cord for outside Christmas lights... yes.And on and on.Thae staff are very friendly and helpful, even if you cant keep up when they bring you to the right place.

Had desired item as indicated online, including aisle#+ shelf location. In and out in less than 5 mins. Thats my kind of shopping!

I just waited 10 minutes at the paint counter and nobody asked if they could help me. Talked to the manager and his excuse was that the paint person was on break. There were at least three men near the register and not one acknowledged my presence. Usually I shout out but I decided to just wait and see.

Some of the prices are a little higher than HD, but the service is much better (and I even like HD). These guys are very helpful.
