Just want to start with saying i’m not saying it’s not a nice store because it is, but this one employee this morning made me count my own change which was already in a roll ($10 roll of quarters) in line to humiliate me after i asked her isn’t that your job as a cashier she was very rude and refused to give me her name and said it was “dollar general “ and said she’s the manager and i have to count it or go else wear. very rude and unprofessional

Today was much better than has been the past few times Ive been there. The store appeared more organized, the items did not have dust all over them, and the employees there were friendlier and more cooperative. Even when I asked if they had caffeine gum, the girl behind the register went to look for it, which surprised me because in the past they will just point to a direction and if I say I dont see it theyll always answer well then we dont have it. So this is been a good experience for me and I hope it continues this way. Thank you

In my opinion this is one of the nicest Dollar Generals in the area. It was newly built and is a normal sized Dollar General that carry a wide variety of common household needs, foods, and goods. The parking lot structure is set up a little odd but that is only because it is built on a corner. Staff were all very nice and welcoming.

Lots to select from. Helpful. Only 4 stars as I feel some of their prices are a little high for this type of store.

What youd expect from a DG.

Dollar General historically has all the things were used to and are known to buy. I like the Punta Gorda store because its an upscale store and very convenient.

Staff at the Dollar General in Punta Gorda, FL are friendly and helpful. The building is somewhat smaller compared to some of the newer DG Stores Ive been in. While the on hand quantity maybe less, this location appears to carry a similar variety of food, beverage, clothing, home decor, cleaning supplies, seasonal and health & beauty products.

☆☆First time at this location as I just moved down the road!! I came in 2 minutes before closing and didnt realize, but both ladies working were extremely helpful and pleasant!! I am happy that my new Dollar General has such nice employees especially since Ill be shopping here all the while♡♡

Nice place. Lots of selection. We buy Tuna for our cat at 75 cents per can. Took a minute to check out as Manager was assisting someone looking for something.

Very disorganized. Was their a week apart thought everything would be put away 2nd time was worse

This store is one of the worst in town. Nothing ever on the shelf stuff everywhere. The staff doesnt care. Its dirty. If I was going to catch covid it would probably happen at this store.

Place was a mess shelfs not stocked even know they had many pallets blocking the the walking path

They might not have everything your looking for but what they do have is always the right price.

It was nicely cleaned and the staff greeted me at the entrance and I said Merry Christmas. The store was neatly as well.

Sometimes I have good experiences at this location and other times, I ask myself why I didnt drive to another one. The store is usually well-stocked and fairly easy to navigate. However, not many of the staff are as pleasant, courteous, or helpful as any other store one can shop. Sometimes, staff are hard to find because theyre all in the back hanging out. Then when someone comes to the checkout, it is hit or miss on courtesy depending upon who one gets. If its a particular one of the workers, wed like to leave our items and run for the door. On the flip side, sometimes we get lucky and have someome awesome. Sometimes items in high demand with limited numbers have white stickers over the bar code. When someone goes to checkout with one, register says manufactured defect- cannot sell- return to manufacturer. Yeah, right. This truly means that a store employee is holding it for themselves or has been paid off by a collector of... Hot Wheels. There have be no mfgt defects or returns of these items since lead paint in 2007.

Reasonable prices and in and out quickly.

Very misleading very few things in the store are $1 most of 5 to $10

Most of the other Dollar General stores I like. This one is always a mess. So much stuff in the isles its hard to get through with a cart. Cant get any help, except from a vendor who was just stocking a shelf, came to my rescue to help, and was very nice. She didnt even work there.

I love it so relaxing its our perfect spot for fishing in the evenings definitely I will keep going there

Was charged twice for one item but not back to back one at the beginning and the other near the end. Was over charged on two other items. It happens all the time but now I am fed up. Everyone please check your receipts because they are doing it all the time. Cashier was sharp tounge also claimed she was the manager and had no name tag.

Manager it was able to help me locate what I needed she was knowledgeable and friendly I will come there again.

Associates are very friendly and helpful when needed. Brian is awesome he knows the store very well.

Worst customer service Ive seen in a long time. Went in to grab a few things and took a snap of the beer section and next thing I know, this hobbit was in my face asking me what I was doing and why I was taking pictures and ran me out of the store. Of course she couldnt be bothered to remove her phone from her face. What happened to customer service??? If you are that miserable at your job, then find a new one Lady.

Dirty, jumbled shelves. items not in the right place. rude staff...these are only a few of mishaps in this store. I get that its a discount store but they used to be clean with everything in its place and a helpful staff and they were earning less. now the kids working there no longer care...they just want paid to stand around. I only go in to buy my type of cat litter which by the way...doesnt belong in mens clothing or in groceries or on the household cleaner aisle but with the other pet supplies. oh and Lysol cleaner doesnt belong in health and beauty but on the household cleaners aisle...

Worst customer service!! Been to alot of DG stores never had this happen... I was there for a refund on 1 item. The worker was being shown how to refund and the boss said the scanner was not scanning my receipt. I happened to say I purchased it at another store and I was told she cant do refunds from another store! I asked her to manually type in number from barcode. She said it wont work either and there was nothing she could do for me. It sounded like it was getting argumentive so I left saying I would look into this! What kind of person do you have running that place! People have said they stopped going there for similar reasons And now friends are not returning either! I did call her boss!

Prices are good & you can get in & out fairly quick . At this location, always friendly check out .

Ive known the manager and some of the employees for a couple of years now it makes me feel like going to a a little Hometown Store they do a great job there

I had a problem at this particular store and the on site manager made me feel like I was trying to rip them off because a bag broke and the wine I purchased fell onto the sidewalk.She said their bags dont do that and said she would not replace the bottle of wine. So I got into my car and she came out of the store and asked why I didnt follow her in. She brought me the wine replacement, but warned me she would not do it again.Bully for her.
