My first visit. Great place to visit over coffee. Nice cozy location.
4.5 stars.I loved this cafe and will definitely come here more often. We got here on a Saturday morning and it was pretty busy! They have so many interesting choices of food and drink! Read the board because the online menu doesnt quite have everything. We got the New Yorker sandwich, a flat white and the Pueblo mocha with 2 shots instead of the 4.The sandwich was delicious! My friend and I shared it but honestly I wouldve eaten it all on my own! Croissants make everything better! The Pueblo mocha was definitely interesting. Not quite sure if I like the mix of chocolate, coffee and chili, but I liked it at the time.Def recommend coming here and enjoying the experience!
Just had a pleasant morning enjoying coffee and oatmeal on the patio. Had the week off but had to check some email. The owner Mike was helping staff take a few morning orders and took mine too. Awesome person. It was fun to see the interactions with regulars and the care t they have for the community.Everything was great and the staff did a great job keeping up and are helpful. Its a pleasant way to spend part of your day to enjoy a drink and light meal. Thanks, Solar Roast :)
Stopped here for a breakfast and coffee and I concur with all the other reviews. Really friendly staff and good food and coffees. Specifically, they had a sign that said lavender is here to stay. Upon asking, they mentioned it was a specialty flavor add for coffees and they suggested white lavender mocha...it was super tasty.COVID special review:-Outdoor seating available with good spacing-They ask to leave the dishes on the table to ensure they can properly sanitize the tables after customers are done-walkup window to take orders-You can really tell when a business takes the guidelines seriously because it could mean of their business stays alive thru this pandemic or not. As a customer, I really appreciate this and Solar Roast totally earned my 5 stars.
I like the fresh roast whole bean coffee for home use. My wife got a macchiato that she liked as well.
Coffee was a bit overpriced but surprisingly good. It didn’t make me crash at all which is why I usually avoid it. The restroom was relatively clean but needed a bit more attention. Severs were polite and accommodating.
Found this little shop while staying at the Pueblo Courtyard Marriott. Only about to block north. Area has improved with lots of art on and around surrounding buildings. Really good latte and Macchiato. The breakfast bagel and quiche were both tasty! No question this is the right decision when faced with hotel coffee as the alternative! I would take it over the big name chain as well!
Ash is always spot on with food and drinks. Fantastic customer service from her. Her positive attitude plus cappuccino makes a great day
One of my favorite coffee shops. Drinks are amazing and the staff is incredibly friendly.
Order inside and then use the outdoor seating. They’ll call your name for the order from the window. I got the ham eye opener along with the cherry/apple juice and it was great. I also ordered a plain bagel with strawberry jam. Sadly it didn’t come for 20 mins. I think they had just forgotten. The place has nice art inside and the chalk menu was done very well. The Saturday morning crowd is the entitled rich people crowd so weekdays is less obnoxious.
Great tea, coffee and hot chocolate! Great people as well!
South side location is much better then the one on main. Didn’t even drink my coffee cause it tasted so bland. Got a bacon breakfast burrito… surprise no bacon. Won’t be back to this location.
I was taken aback by the light roast coffee I got.The baristas on duty said that it was more like a medium than light roast, perfect for me cause I love medium roast. But it tasted incredibly weak and mostly like hot water :/ very little coffee flavor. Ive made enough coffee to know better. Also got an espresso and it tasted incredibly bitter like it was old, usually that would happen to me when it was time to clean the espresso machine :/Seemed like a great place, sure was popular that day. Some people just cant taste the difference.
Friendly staff! The gluten free chocolate cake was amazing
Great coffee, great bagel sandwich and amazing location.
One of the better places in town to grab a coffee and a quick bite to eat. People are always friendly and food is always fresh. Coffee is amazing.
I was a little confused because it seems like a lot of people like this place. While I’ve never physically been there, I recently tried some of their whole been, Guatemalan medium roast. I bought the beans because the entire branding was centered around “consistent smoothness” and “low acidity”. There must have been some mistake, because these beans were horrible. Dark, oily, burnt - I could barely drink my coffee. Not sure what Solar Roast considers medium and smooth, but this was not it. Sorry guys, but probably the worst beans I’ve tried in a while. My normal go-tos are usually Intellingentsia, Cirque, Stumptown and Onyx for reference.
Lovely lunch with friends. I had the chicken pesto croissant and an Arnold Palmer.
Awesome place, good location. Staff is very nice and helpful. Ordered a carnitas burrito and was blown away by the taste.
We stopped here for coffee and a bite to eat. Coffee was delicious, but the food service was inconsistent. Our pastry and quiche came out immediately, but the sandwich we ordered took over 15 minutes and came out overdone.
Very sweet little place. The coffee is lovely, the breakfast bagel (tomato eye opener with multi-grain bagel, green chili cream cheese, garden fresh tomato, and an egg) was DELICIOUS, and the staff was friendly and fun. Its in a cute location - historical and eye-catching - and the atmosphere is quiet and pleasing. If we lived here, Id write here.
No one acknowledged our presence. Staff talked amongst themselves. Waited 5 minutes with no acknowledgement. Rude. Unprofessional.
Delicious coffee with great outdoor seating! Met a few friends and thoroughly enjoyed myself!
Delicious coffee it is a favorite place of mine to go. Love the area downtown. Just a fun place to hang out.
Best coffee Ive found so far in Pueblo. Great service too.
Great place to get a refreshing drink.
Normally, this place is great but, when we went there were two very aggressive German shepherds. We couldnt even sit down! It was completely ridiculous! People who have dogs who are not good in this environment shouldnt take their dogs.
Serendipitous pit stop while driving across CO led me to a delicious oat milk latte from this chill little coffee shop. Friendly staff and excellent coffee
Solar roast offers a unique experience always. We ordered and got lost down the street to their new curated record/book store Analog featuring tasteful, thoughtful displays and local music and items wherever they fit. By the time we realized our drinks and food may have been ready, we quickly hopped back only to find our cashier made sure to stick our cold drinks in the fridge until we returned. Great service motif. If youre new here, grab a granita or a pueblo chile mocha to spice up your day - you wont be disappointed.
A nice place for s tasty cup of coffee. A warm fireplace makes this an extra cozy place. The service is friendly and drinks and eats are delicious.
Most over rated coffee and most expensive coffee I have ever had. Very limited options, cArmel frapp or coffee. Would recommend any other local coffee shop Besides his place, absolute rip off. 8$ for a frapp give me a freaking break.
I come here all the time. Great coffee and great staff
Thursday morning coffee outting with my wife at Solar Roast Coffee at their downtown Pueblo location.☕On our way there just a few blocks away I kept smelling toast, discovered that they roast their beans on site, yum!😍If you havent had coffee from a place that roasts their beans on location then youre missing out!👈Shannon got a Maple Macchiato and I had their pour over, both were delicious!😍In addition to coffee theres a variety of pastries and breakfast items.🥐Definitely on our list of top places to get coffee!
Had a mocha and a breakfast burrito! So amazing!
Locally owned business, great outdoor patio. They have gluten free and vegetarian items as well as great gifts. Attached Analogue store is also super cool!
Amazing Coffee!! Solar Roast Coffee has an authentic vibe with a local feel. The ambiance has a unique atmosphere that is welcome to all individuals. The staff is friendly and genuine. My wife, child and and I went over the weekend we really enjoyed the our short visit to Solar Roast Coffee. There is a reason their Coffee is shipped throughout the United States . I highly recommend Solar Roast Coffee. Solar Roast Coffee also supports the Air Force Reserve
Very nice, The Ham and egg bagel was delicious
Great atmosphere, great coffee! Get the Pesto Chicken Croissant!
Great Local coffee and very friendly staff. I would definitely recommend Solar Roast Coffee to anyone who wants to try good local coffee! Also Great sandwiches and salads too!
Pueblo staple. Excellent coffee and they have vegan food!
I dont like giving average or bad reviews. Especially a local business with a worthy mission and decent humans as owners. However, I have never had anything great at Solar Roast. Im the type who will tell the truth when a server asks how everything is. There is a opportunity for businesses to know what to improve and what is just fine.I have higher expectations of business owners like the Harktops. Highly intelligent and friendly. The coffee has ranged from terrible to palatable. The food is not made to order and tastes like its yesterdays meal.I have had a few breakfast burritos, which are ok, but not for $5. Had a ham and cheese croissant this morning that was much less than satisfying. Heavy in my gut after chewing the soggy, greasy sandwich.I may be considered snobbish about these details in Pueblo, but not even close to the people in my hometown of Seattle. This is bus station food up there. I believe the owners hail from Oregon, but not sure if they are from the western or eastern part of the state. Not really relevant I suppose.I know you can do better. Please do.
Really good stuff here.
Careful if theyre busy... Theyll give you 2 half cold burritos that you have to warm up in the microwave and 2 hot coffees even if you asked for cold (and you leave cause you dont want to wait for them to fix the error due to the long timing prior)
Good products but very slow service.
Very good healthy very good food
Great coffee and white chocolate cake!
Fantastic staff. High quality food and beverages. Excellent value for the prices! Great outdoor, street side seating with an outdoor ordering window. Cool architecture and decorations too!
5 starts for the drinks and food. 1 star for hygiene. Cashier would grab the cups by the rim with her fingers inside the cup. Little bit gross.
Great coffee and ambiance!
Wonderful coffee and great service! Love being able to use the laptop inside as well.
This is the coffee shop of everybodys dreams. Enough said.
Best thing since sliced bread
Fantastic coffee, great atmosphere
Wow! Delicious! I got a ham quiche + coconut Maple chai latte, my husband got a carnita burrito with a vanilla Latte. Highly recommend. All was so good. @estelle.gaither
Had a matcha latte. Not so good. It was not mixed well so the bottom of the drink had unmixed matcha powder. Wont be ordering that again. The burrito was very good. Spicy and filling.
Used to spend a small chunk of change patronizing this small business. They had everything bagels and a local vibe. Unfortunately, they lack the costumer service skills to thrive. After a lack of service because of a cheap/manager/oven, and poor choices; I choose to find somewhere who valued capitalism without go fund me’s and PPP loans. They were open on a snow day, what’s better on a cold day than a hot coffee or London Fog?!? #savesmallbusiness #shoplocal #valentinesday
Excellent local coffee Feels good to go in a coffee shop again. A must try if your downtown.
Great atmosphere, great people, great coffee!
Great local shop with a few locations, that provides great food, coffee and service.
Other than the weird old deaf guy always approaching me to bother me every time I go, I love solar roast! Their breakfast burritos are the best Ive ever eaten. That old deaf guy needs to stop bothering the customers though.
Great environment, great food and yummy drinks. Prices were more than reasonable! Will be returning!
Love the food.Love the staff.Love the concept.Love the vegan breakfast burrito.Love. Love. Love.
Love this place
Absolutely love this place! Great food, awesome coffee and amazing people! One of the worst parts of staying at home is not being able to just pop in for a quick coffee and snack!
Always great coffee and food!
The concept was great; the service was horrible. They need to hire new baristas aka cashiers who could fake some smiles and say hi to customers before taking orders. The product itself wont sell!
Our 20 minute vacation spot!
Fantastic. I wolfed down my quiche before I could take any pics! The green sauce is great! The coffee is the BEST in Pueblo! I went every day I was in Pueblo and tried every mocha on the menu....also bought roasted coffee too. Staff was friendly and the location is downtown. I would go out of my way for their coffee and quiche!
I love this place,,,, just wish they would stay open later
Very very good coffee… And fantastic people. If you’re in the downtown area or passing by one of their shops… You have to stop in and enjoy a cup. Because you’ll enjoy the entire experience.
I wanted to love this place but i was highly disappointed. Their blended coffee drink was very very watered down. It literally tasted like the international delight iced coffee from walmart but extra watered down. And im convinced thats what they used. Waste of money.
What a great menu!! Homemade and super tasty! Staff was very friendly in a great, cozy atmosphere. Cant wait to go back!
Cozy, locally owned. Food is great. Coffee is 4 of 5 stars. I will give it a 5 if they add more vegan options to the menu.
First time at the new Pueblo location on Northern. The children love the glass walled playroom, the staff was very helpful and professional while still being genuine. The location has plenty of seating and was well occupied that day. Coffee is always good and priced comparably to other espresso shops in town.
They have this thing as in my country the one Ive been missing and nowThank God I found you
A lot of options, even none coffee ones. Dont forget to try their flavored lemonades and wide variety of teas available. They also have bagels with numerous spread options. This is the next big thing in coffee, and all their roasting currently happens downtown just across the street in their two roasting facilities. Look for their coffee in stores soon!!
This seems to be the best place in town and they roast their own beans. Im just not enthusiastic about the espresso drinks Ive had. Good place but not great compared to shops Ive been to in bigger cities.
This place was great. The coffee was good, the breakfast burrito was delicious. The staff was very nice. Was a nice place to drop in with friends. You can sit outside where there was plenty of seating. Nice place!
Awesome coffee, love the quiche with roasted veggies and green chili salsa. I just get a black coffee (medium roast) normally and it is amazing! The ladies and guys in the shop are so nice and friendly. They are never rude or too busy to answer questions. My kids ask to go get a smoothie there and I dont mind because they are health aware and use good stuff in their foods and coffee. I am thrilled I can pick up their coffee at the local Sams club and buy a really good kettle in their store. Everything is so good it is hard to pick so have an idea before you get there and hope you can stick with it.
Quality product. Clean. Great staff.
Food delicious and service usually good, but must be aware they charge extra for the offered side condiments like sour cream and chili - but dont always deliver! Can be stingy adding extras like lemon slices to their lemonade; it seems they usually do, but i noticed i didnt receive any while my friends did. Otherwise i would have rated 5 stars.....
You all need to visit this place it is so relaxing and get coffee. Its so wonderful that I see your coffee over here in Texas! Keep up the great work guys.
The matcha was excellent. Their bagels and quiches were also very good.
I have only been to the cafe section once, so take this review with a grain of salt. I have been in the coffee game for years though so I give you my first timer impressions. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I asked for a pour over of Guatemala and was given it promptly despite the place being steady in business. Coffee was perfectly fine, but it wasnt necessarily my style. This is just an OPINION and coffee is different to each palate. Id say give it a try if youre looking for a cup in Pueblo.
Best locally owned coffee and snack/food pla e in town!
