This place is fantastic! The breakfast burrito is so delicious and the green Chile it’s smothered in has the perfect amount of heat and flavor 🤤. My smoothie was the perfect amount of sweet. The cucumber salad was soooo tasty. I did not have a bite of anything that wasn’t good!!! It has a chill atmosphere and the decor is really neat too. I will definitely be returning as the menu items seem to be endless ♥️ highly recommended 🙌

We stopped in last week on our way to Texas. This place was so cool. The food was great. I loved the sunrise smoothie & the staff was super friendly & accommodating. Not your average Cafe. This place is a must see if youre in the area.

Fantastic place, worth the stop. Phenomenal food, amazing coffee and a loose leaf tea selection you wont believe. The staff is kind, considerate and very gracious. They host a lot of great shows and help out touring bands coming through the area. The Pork Tamales with the house made Chile sauce is top tier. I cant say enough about this Cafe, other than coming here once is not enough. You need several visits to enjoy everything they offer, but even one stop is worth your time.

Just happened to walk by here looking for a place for lunch since there was a few restaurants closed while we were exploring the Riverwalk area. I think it was fate because the food was just what we were looking for! The service was good, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was laid-back. They have a great selection of drinks too. I thought the money on the ceiling over the register was cool but was so distracted I forgot to take any other pictures. So Ill definitely come back for a great experience again.

We drove all the way from Fort Collins and stumbled upon this spot. It was so good! I would act up for those potatoes, they are seasoned so well. The tea verity has something for everyone. The art brings everything together. All around a great place to stop and hangout.

Ordered a sandwich and a burrito.The sandwich was awful and soggy. There was only ten minutes from receiving to getting to the car to eat it. The burrito would have been great if they hadnt drowned it in their sauce. If you like wet soggy bread or tortillas this is the place for you.Edit: I have ordered smothered burritos before. But this one was literally in a soup. Maybe the employees need to be a little more careful when preparing to go containers.

Super cool coffee shop. Coming from Colorado Springs I had no idea there were cool little pockets like this in pueblo. This whole stretch of Union avenue is really very cool. And the grind house has awesome coffee great food a great atmosphere great music.

The food and coffee here are PHENOMENAL. My family is cycling the TransAm and we stopped in Pueblo for the weekend. We’ve been here twice and plan on going again tomorrow before we leave. We’ve tried one of the burritos, two salads, the Buddha bagel (our favorite) and everything was delicious. We really appreciated the organic options and the high quality of the food. Definitely a fun, eclectic place to hang out and the people who work here are so friendly! They have games on hand and I’ll always remember this as the place we taught my five year-old how to play chess (with one of the baristas encouraging her!).

Hands down the best place to get work done, if youre into that type of stuff. I came here looking for coffee and fell in love doing some artwork for #inktoberI got a dirty chai (which was very good), a vegan breakfast sandwhich (which was REALLY good), and green tea bobba. I plan on coming here more, it was all very good!

Live the vibe here. Nothing is better than death metal as youre eating your yogurt parfait and drinking your espresso at 8 am. Everyone was very nice and local, they have a massive selection of tea that they would make fresh for you and a decent sized food selection, good for lunch and breakfast.

Disappointed. We were charged extra for ingredients that are a standard part of the menu item. When I asked asked cashier about it she said that was my bad and hesitated like I was just going to be okay with that. We didnt get all ingredients anyway when the food came. Kitchen decided that different members of our party would share jalapeños because one person wanted theirs on the side (but we didnt) so they gave one side dish of jalapeños, then argued about giving us our own standard jalapeños. The area and bathrooms are gross. You have to awkwardly clean off your own dishes on the way out. Fountain machine conveniently doesnt work so you have to buy overpriced soda bottles. Oh, and the nachos were two types of chips, bottom of the bag, and the chips were definitely stale. I didnt bring it up with them because of the difficulty in getting standard ingredients. Really felt like taking care of a customer was an inconvenience to them. Also, I overheard one of the employees tell someone there is a 10% discount for university related folks, yet my son (wearing his college shirt) was told otherwise. So yeah, disappointed to say the least.

Just traveling thru and saw this as a bfast place Very cool cafe with day of the dead vibe and artwork.The owner is there almost everyday and appears to be genuinely interested in your enjoying the coffee and food. Would love to have a place like this in my city.I ordered the steak Chile burrito Verde and there was a small mix-up in the order but Charles immediately corrected the item and all was fantastic.I had the warmed cinnamon roll and mocha latte for dessert. Both were terrific.When you come from a city that is over run with corporate chains you really appreciate a local establishment with fresh made foods and coffees.Im not sure why some of the bad reviews. Maybe it was an off day or customers had other issues they were dealing with. If you have any issues. Please see the owner. He will work hard to make sure your visit is the best it can be.

Cool hang out place for coffee or tea. That’s about it. Guy who took our order was having a bad day and kind of took it out on us and the girl he seemed to be training? Waited 30 minutes for an “Italian Stallion” which is a fairly simple sandwich just to be asked if I could get it to go because they decided to close early... if you’re wanting to go somewhere that will fill your belly up for lunch, I wouldn’t recommend. Hoping the next time I go, they redeem themselves somehow! 😔

Not good today for sure. Gas station food at a premium price. Maybe coffee is their strong suit? Had tamales..cold...beans dried out, green chilly was cold... nachos...were cold...smother burrito...cold.....breakfast bagel cold...I took the plates to the cook...and he kindly put them in the microwave for us.

Yeah it was pretty amazing! Staff was very chill and helpful. Heads up, we didnt realize how big those burritos were! And the coffee and smoothies we had were fantastic and I felt that it wasnt too expensive. You get what you pay for..I went back and grabbed another drink. I will be back

Looking for great coffee, don’t go any further than The Hanging Tree Cafe’ near the Pueblo River Walk on Union. We tried one of their awesome Loaded Beagles. So totally delish!Taking a lb of their yum coffee with me back home! Funky deco & fun staff!

Don’t understand why cooks can’t fallow order instructions no ranch means leave ranch off the sandwich and choice of cheese I thought meant you pick the cheese and that’s what you get but not in this case it’s like they just did what they wanted and for $46 dollars we paid, it would be nice to get it how we ordered it not how they feel they want to make it. Now out of principal I’m not going here again. We ordered 4 things and everything was wrong and the wrap had next to nothing in it🤬🤬🤬🤬

Drinks are always exactly as I imagine and more. Highly recommend you grab a bite to eat too! I had the Pork Belly Peach Pitas and they were so JUICY and the flavors burst in my mouth. Their tea selection is nothing to shrug at either!

We waited 55 minutes to get our food, the blonde lady that was the cook was talking to another girl painting on the stage for 20+ minutes then she started sweeping and didnt even pick up pile and finally went to the back to start cooking. We didnt know at the time she was the cook until we asked how much longer on our food because there was no customers it was not busy. The girl up front gave her our ticket after 40 minutes and all we had ordered was oats, italian sub, and a vegan burrito. The guy started sweeping, not asking us if we needed anything, how we were nothing, he swept a rock towards my foot it hit my sandal and then he got the mop out that was strong odor and decided to mop. We had to go outside because who wants to eat smelling a strong odor of cleaning. Very poor service WE WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN!

The service was slow, but I think it was because the barista was working by herself and seemed to be sanitizing everything thoroughly. Our drinks were divine and worth the wait. The atmosphere was fun and downtown Pueblo is always enjoyable!

Twice now, I’ve called in orders for boba tea, and arrived to pick them up only to be told they don’t have the boba tapioca balls. This time they said they haven’t made any for the day… uninformed, snd wasted drive. Get it together guys… cmon.

Ate here a few days ago. The staff were all very friendly. We ordered food and drinks. I got a Californian wrap and a large matcha green tea. My total was $19 and change, not including the tip. My wrap was decent and well-made, but nothing spectacular taste-wise. My green tea was delicious, but I was disappointed that the large wasnt very big at all. I thought it would be a lot taller of a cup for the large. I felt like what I paid for what I got was too much. The atmosphere was really nice and they have a lot of cool art on the walls, as well as many comfortable places to sit. We were there in between lunch and dinner and it was not very busy. One of the people we were eating with happened to get sick while we were there (medication related) and the staff were very accommodating in helping to get her some ice and a cold rag, which was very much appreciated. Overall, I will definitely go back again, I know this place has been a local favorite for a very long time, for a reason.

A treasure in Pueblo! I had a breakfast egg sandwich with portobello mushroom on a croissant with Swiss cheese. Fabulous period wide variety of coffee. The older generation would call it a hippy place. The people working there were fantastic. Also had a lunch there. It was great. I highly recommend it

Made arrangements with friends to meet for our book club tonight at 6:15. We had ordered and sat down to enjoy chatting when another employee announced they closed at 7pm. A short time later one more of our friends arrived at 6:30 and needed the rest room, but this employee chased her out of the restroom because she was finishing cleaning and the restroom was closed for the night. It was made clear we should leave as close to 6:50 as possible. This was pushed even further by the very strong mopping in our area. I never write reviews but I’m disappointed that they closed so early and made us uncomfortable for staying and having a seat. Maybe letting us know when we walked in the door that they were closing in 35 minutes? We went next door to the Gold Dust and had dinner and drinks.

This place was so cute! There was an area for performers to jam out and tables to play board games on. We really enjoyed picking a game there since they have a wide selection to choose from for free. Burrito was good and vibe was great. Whenever we go back to Pueblo, well definitely eat there again.

The inside was super cool. Chill vibes, games, cool art and cozy atmosphere. Good for studying. Staff is nice but their mochas taste like liquid dirt. I drank mine but my bf threw his away and he’s never thrown away a coffee drink.

I like the drinks and I liked my sandwich. However, my girlfriend got The Joker, which we thought was a cold sandwich, but it came covered in gravy. Just weird.

I’ve been shopping more local with COVID lately and the hanging tree cafe has the best burrito I’ve had in Pueblo so far!!! I’ve been here about a year and have tried a handful of restaurants but the breakfast burrito carnivore has stolen the number one spot!! I wish I took a picture before diving in- but you will not be disappointed!!

What a hidden gem!! My baked chicken sandwich with Swiss on a croissant was bomb!!! The Uber veggie sandwich also delicious. My 2 year old son devoured his vegetarian tamales. If I’m ever going through Pueblo again I’ll detour just to hit this spot. Thank you for having flavorful veggie options!

I would leave zero stars if I could! Went about noon on a Sunday and waited over 20 minutes after we ordered and they had not even started our coffee and tea. They weren’t busy but obviously had better things to do. We left without getting our order! This place is absolutely horrible!!!!

I love this place. The food is always delicious and correct. I have a child who cannot eat gluten and they are able to accommodate this. The drinks are simply put.... delightful. Usually whatever they have written on the board their specials of the day are always good. Particularly I recommend the Pumpkin Pie Chai Latte and the Cinnamon Bun Latte. Both are absolutely amazing. They also do a good bagel and Lox here too.

I placed an order through grubhub. First order was canceled by grubhub because the driver took to long to accept the trip. I Was told by Grind Haus to re-order. So I did. Love this place. I have super crazy diet requirements and Grind Haus Cafe is one of the only places I can enjoy a meal or drink and not bust those requirements. They make me feel like Im at home

Multiple tables with spotty working outlets. Free wifi. Huge selection of both food and coffee and the great wall of tea. Outdoor seating. Be prepared for random people playing drums and other musical instruments in the hallways if you actually want to get work done, or have a conversation with someone, youll have to yell.

If I could give this place a zero I would. They don’t care about their customers at all! I’m not sure how it takes an hour for one burrito, but every time I order from them it’s the same thing. It takes forever and the people who work there are very rude. They stare at you like they hate you for ordering food and make a point to stand around doing nothing while you are waiting to pick up your order. It’s absolutely insane! I will never eat at this place again. So done!
