Dropped off items for them to sell. Uses profits to help support Sangre de Christo Community Care which provides palliative and hospice care for locals at no out-of-pocket costs. Looked like they had nice things, but I didnt stay to look.

I love this place. They are a little more expensive than a traditional thrift store but they have better quality items and it benefits hospice. The staff is friendly and helpful. Its always much cleaner than an ARC or goodwill.

Great service. Beautiful store! I thought everything was very reasonably priced, especially considering the proceeds go back into the community.

The Estate Store is an upscale second-hand store that benefits Southern Colorado Hospice. They have a wide variety of products, including but not limited to seasonal items, home decor, knick knacks, kitchen items, toys, some clothing, linens, and some furniture. The prices are reasonable, the quality of the merchandise is always good, and the staff are helpful and friendly. Many of the items are unique and/or antique-ish. I love going in just to look around and usually find something I just cant resist!

I was a patient for 2.5 years. The first 1.5 years I could not have asked for any better care. Then something changed. I lost my long term case manager/nurse and had no regular nurse for an extended period of time. The new case managers that I was assigned all quit after a very short time. As a hospice patient we are not allowed to call 911, but when I called Sangre de Cristo during an emergency they would claim they had no one to send out ... just take more morphine. I was stuck outside unable to move in sub freezing temperatures ... just take more morphine. The old Medical Directer retired and a new Doctor took over. One of the first thing she did was order my most effective medication to be discontinued, because it was too expensive. My case manager at that time did go to bat for me and documented the rapid decline in my condition after the drug was removed, the drug was restored. A Nurse Practitioner came to my home to conduct an exam. He introduced himself as a doctor. A few months later this doctor re-examined me and told me that I was coming close to using up all of my benefits, that services would have to be cut back. I foolishly complained (there are no limits on hospice care). A month later the new Medical Director discharged me from Hospice care claim as her basis that I failed to meet two objective criteria. For each of the two criteria I greatly exceeded the standard. I had even been examined by the retired medical director who stated that I did meet the re-certification standards, easily. I have no doubt that the decision to discharge me was made before my records were reviewed. I believe I was discharged because I would not submit to their cost cutting measures. When I was discharged I was given about 48 hours to arrange for everything to be transferred and to find a new doctor to reissue all of my prescriptions. I had no right of appeal. I received precious little help in making the transition. I had no one that was able to advocate for me.Avoid Sangre de Cristo Hospice. If you accept their services you will be at there mercy - and they will leave you alone standing out in the cold, literally.
