Store was fine, the girl that worked there was pretty rude. I know quite a bit about makeup, and she made several comments on how I didnt know what I was talking about. So, I paid for my things and left pretty upset.
It’s ok I haven’t been there in a while. But things works fast there and I like it. The girls are always there to help you and love it.
So I don’t ever shop at Sephora, like ever. But recently I have been having a hard time keeping foundation on my T zone, and so I called Sephora asking for advice! I talked to Scarlet who was so friendly!!! And told me to come in so she good see my face and help figure out the problem! So I came in and she helped me for at least 45 mins! She also gave me like 6 free samples of products to try! I only had 1 saved of a night mask to help my skin! She did not pressure me into buying or anything! I will definitely continue to shop there!!
Pushy sales woman. Didnt ask which size perfume I wanted. Just grabbed the largest one. When I told her I wanted the smaller one, she acted put out and said they were out of stock. The smaller one was sitting right on the shelf.
I dont wear make up, but if I did this looks like a pretty good spot.
Great service. My wife picked up her birthday present and was pleased.
Great sales girls, helpful. Usually well stocked. Hope they relocate to Univ Mall with the death of PTC.
I went to Sephora for the first time ever today, and I had the BEST experience!Courtney was so kind and took great care in explaining what makes each brand unique and what the star products are for what I was looking for. The other girls there were wonderful as well!Id definitely come here again based on this experience. The only think that wasnt stellar was the smaller selection of products, but thats expected for an area in JCPENNEY.Thank you girls for making my time wonderful and showing me some great products!
Girlfriend went there good store, good customer service, clean products.
I wish I could give 0 stars. A simple return of an online order (Sephoras error as they sent me something not even close to what I ordered for my daughter) turned into a 2 week headache because the girls at the store dont know how to communicate with their customers and process a return. Phone calls to check on the status werent much better as no one seems to have any idea what their company policies and processes are. Either no training is being done leaving these girls to just guess at everything and make an absolute mess, or they need to work on hiring more capable individuals who can learn and who will care about the customer experience. Either way, I will not be returning or continuing to shop at their online store.UPDATE: Calling into Sephora online was much more helpful. The customer service rep. was understanding and worked through the mess to make sure everything was taken care of. She was thorough and patient. If only the store at Provo Towne Centre could be so professional.
Sunday’s are pretty slow in most places so I understand why they would only have two sales reps working, I would also understand if I had to wait my turn if there was a line to get some help. What I don’t understand is how there being 5 customers in the store (one of them waiting in front of the cash register for 5min without the employees noticing) neither of the ladies bother to ask if they wanted help or needed a sample. One of them didn’t even bother greeting us when we walked in, instead took a glance and continued sorting through some supplies. The other did ask us if we were looking for something in particular while she was cleaning but after I said I was looking into the Tarte concealers and asking her opinion she gave me a very vague answer and said they don’t have a lot of shades in stock but maybe I could find mine if I looked, she didn’t help me find the right shade, she didn’t offer suggestions on others I might like. They literally ignored us the entire time we were there.
I have gone here multiple times over the last 6 months and have had nothing but horrible customer service I continually go back hoping it will be better. The final straw was when I took in the sample they had given me of foundation because I really liked it and wanted to purchase it but the sales associate had no idea which one it was and was texting other employees asking and they didn’t know either. Why write the information on the bag if you’re not going to be able to identify it later? I finally had to leave because I had to be somewhere else and the sales associate asked if she could take a picture of the bag. I asked her if she could call me if she figured out which one it was and her response was “I am extremely busy and will forget and won’t have time.” Every time I have gone to this location I leave extremely frustrated!
Now to many offers.really shipper..muchas ofertas...
Excellent service and good variety of perfume and cologne
I love sephora, 100% recommended
Not every experience here was bad for me, but my most recent one was... Interesting. Normally whenever I go in no one pays attention to me until I start looking at more expensive products. A few times ago a really sweet associate helped me out but where I cant give info on here I cant say her name but her name started with a C and she was so helpful. Even though I wasnt a fan of the product she referred me to, at least she made a effort! However the most recent time I came in, I was looking for a new foundation. After a little while of browsing a lady came up to me and asked if I needed help. I explained my situation and skin type, also what Im looking for in a foundation and she (instead of helping me find something, anything) told me I seemed very connected (???), talked to me about my skin care and what I need to do for it, rather than just keep trying new products. She didnt direct me to any different products, or even tell me any brands I could try. I didnt go in to be told I need to moisturize and exfoliate. I have combo skin, it goes hand in hand with both of those. I mean, me trying and buying products makes them money, it doesnt make sense. After that I told her thank you and proceeded to buy and leave the store with a foundation I had tried before but wasnt in love with just because I needed foundation desperately.Ultimately, I dont know if she was having a hard day already (it was an hour after opening) or if she just didnt want to help me. However when someone comes in who is obviously not a beginner to makeup and face care, its a little obvious when there is a lack of trying. Ill still come to this Sephora, its not a huge problem but the associates need to be trained about the products or at least better ways to say we might not have what youre looking for.
I called to check if they had a foundation in stock and the girl said we sure do I didnt ask her to check because she sounded so sure. I drove from Sandy to provo just to get the foundation and they didnt have it, the girl I talked to said it had been out of stock for a few days now. I used to work at a makeup counter and it didnt matter how busy it was I always took the time to check the stock room for a product. Please train your staff on basic customer service skills.
Not good at all.
I live their products. But with COVID they didnt have as many as usual.
Super nice girl helped me quickly and got me my makeup and a free gift with a points card. Not sure what all the bad reviews are about.
While the associate at the time I visited was helpful and pleasant, offering me samples if products I was interested in, I felt the shop overall was a tad messy and dirty. The bottles and samples that were displayed were not up the the standard Im used to with the Lone Tree, Colorado Sephora. There wasnt a great selection and displays were barely stocked. Which is unfortunate because I am a loyal Sephora customer and this will be the closet one to me. I hope the management at this location can improve it to what is expected of the company. Its a higher end retailer that sells high end brands. It is at a JCPENNEY but it doesnt mean there cant be thought and care for your customers experience.
Rating is 1 for listening only, they didnt take care of this customer. Employees were more concerned about 90 day return policy than standing behind the products and their product quality...Ill be buying from Ulta from now on. Just left my receipts and faulty products on the counter and walked out. Ive had better service at a burger joint!
I went in found the makeup I wanted they were out of stock so they ordered it for me. I then got an email saying that my cancelation request was processed... I DIDNT Cancel anything! Called Customer Service that was a joke. Sephora sucks.
I always come here and the girls are awesome but today I walked into who I’m assuming is the manager scolding a girl into tears. I just thought it was very unprofessional and I’m sure everyone else shopping was uncomfortable having to hear that. I didn’t buy anything I just walked out because I felt horrible for that girl.
The girls that work here are amazing 🤩 get everything I need every time !
Awesome customer service!
Ive shopped at Sephora for years until now. Every time I go I expect the next time to be better. It isnt. I will never step foot in this Sephora again. Ulta just gained a new customer after today thats for sure.
Didnt pay attention to one single customer and all 3 sales women were behind the counter the whole time laughing and talking and once did they acknowledge any customer there. Horrible service.
The girls are very snooty here. I am a free lance MUA, and know my stuff about skin care and makeup. They treat everyone who walks in there like a total idiot, and never actually recommend products that work, only what is the most expensive. Ive only ever had one good experience with this store, and it was because the girl complimented my makeup, if I go in without makeup on they either ignore me or act very dismissive. Make the drive up to south towns mall instead of going to this store
Went to do a return for a foundation that was too dark for me. The worker first informed me that they never got the two faced peaches and cream collection so I couldn’t do an exchange. I said that’s fine I’ll just do a return and order a different color on line. I really didn’t want to drive all the up to fashion place to do the exchange. She then says I had to have my id for her to even be able to do my return regardless of the fact that I am beauty insider member or that I HAD MY RECIEPT. She said she couldn’t do anything with my id because she has to scan it. That goes against Sephora’s online policy. I am not going to give you my id when I’ve had that end badly multiple times. I am very upset and will no longer shopping at this location. Oh and I ended up going to the fashion place mall to do the exchange they never asked for my id and simply did the return.
Used to go here ALL the time and spent way to much. Then had a few rude experiences and went to Ulta. Went in Sat. 1/19 around 6 to do a return for a christmas gift of the Clarasonic Mia. The receipt was with the bag, from the gift giver. Over 200 dollars. Thought..well money was spent, Ill give them a try again!. I had planned on getting a different one OR getting perfume and make up. Until Corey approached. I had the Sephora bag in hand. She asks if I am ready to check out....and I say I have this gift to return. As she takes it I start to say I can look for a different one or.......and she interupts me saying she needs to look it up. Clicks keyboard a few times then says did you use it? I say no I wanted to.......interupts again....ok checking. I just wait while she is looking it up and next thing she hands me a receipt and says it was put back on the card. I repeat, but it was a gift, it wasnt my card. No response.I cant think of a time I went to do a return anywhere that they didnt ask if I wanted to exchange it, look around for something else, or even get a gift card refund ESPECIALLY when you are returning a gift!.Thanks for giving me 200 dollar gift back to the giver and treating me like dirt on the bottom of your shoe. But I am sure Ulta will thank you!.
Went in prepared to drop at least $100 on makeup and walked out barely spending $50. There were barley any products stocked and the workers were some of the rudest I’ve ever encountered, they ALL stared at me blankly when I walked in and I could over hear them gossiping about their coworkers as I was browsing which idk about you but I find that pretty unprofessional. From now on if I need a product from Sephora I’ll be buying it online or just strictly shopping at Ulta.
First time at a Sephora and had a terrible experience. The tall girl seems bothered I even approached her. She didnt want to help or explain anything. Wiped a couple different foundations on my jawline, handed me a box of foundation and then went to check HER makeup in the mirror. Never offered any samples or advice. Obviously she has no customer service skills so I dont know why she even works with the public. Sadly Id come prepared to spend money and splurge on myself but I left t without buying anything. Would not recommend at all.
About 50% of the time I get a nice sales clerk but I went in the other night and the blonde sales clerk lady was so hella rude. She acted like we were the biggest pain in her butt and I’m a VIB member and spend a ton of money at Sephora so bad move. It’s unfortunate because I’d love to have her job and I know a lot about the products but she just acted so unfriendly and rude.
LITERALLY never have anything in stock..... very disappointed with my experiences here
Went in there asked if any of the foundations were going to help with my acne she looked at me and gave me a dirty look and said none. there all snotty brats Really all 3 of them that was there tonight they need new professional workers sorry but not shopping in that sephora ever again rather buy online or ulta
After reading all the other reviews, I was not looking forward to going in, but I was too busy to drive to a further location and I dont know enough about make up to buy online. I went in and asked for help, they were prompt in helping my find exactly what I needed. The staff I worked with were very friendly.
How is this the only Sephora within a 30 mile radius and not even a full sized store?? Ive been here many times, dont usually like to go inside because the testers are missing, lots of stuff out of stock every time, and the employees dont seem to be trained about all the products. When I was there recently I explained how I needed a really good makeup remover for tough mascara/liquid lipstick. The employee showed me her favorite (expensive $45) remover on her hand, wiping away liquid liner for a bit, and it did not come off all the way. She left about 3 times to grab something and got spacey when another person walked by and did not return. I asked for help later matching a foundation and she matched me by swatch to a cool tone (pinkish) when my skin is neutral to yellow. There were 3 items I wanted from 3 different brands - all out of stock/no testers. At checkout I told the employee I was considering just making the whole purchase online instead, to get the free shipping past $50 and she stopped making the sample I had asked for. I thought that she must have gotten to it, but I checked later and it was not in my bag. Last time I came here I had a birthday makeover my dad had gifted me and eek the lady did not know what she was doing. I knew about 10 mins in that I could just do it better myself and wanted to leave, but didnt want to waste my makeover. Sephora - please hire people who have freelance experience has makeup artists like MAC does, people who know the products and know how to put makeup on themselves and others (not saying all Sephora employees dont - just going on my experience at this location). ALSO PLEASE RESTOCK YOUR TESTERS/PRODUCTS :)
Worst customer service ever! Im a mom and had my 2 girls with me, moms are gonna have their kids with them! One worker made the comment of why would a mother bring her children with her to a place like this? Really? I wasnt the only mother there with her children. I didnt end up buying anything because I was so upset, I would rather order online than go in there and deal with the rude girls that work there! I buy makeup products a few times a month and usually go to Ulta but decided to give Sephora a try, not again!
My mom wanted to get me a gift card to sephora and the closest to her is this one inside JC Pennys. The employee there said to us that, Yes, you can use this gift card at any sephoraI recently went into the Sephora in city creek and wanted to use the gift card. At the register, the employee said that she was sorry, but they cant use the JC Pennys sephora cards and that can ONLY be used at a Sephora inside JC Penny. I couldnt hide my stunned and upset demeanor. I told her that the person who sold us the card TOLD us it could be used at ANY sephora. The employee replied Yeah, they have been telling a lot of people that. But they are a totally separate store. She called over her manager, who was a rockstar! He listened to me and took down information and said that he really wants to talk to some people to help make sure that this doesnt happen in the future. He explained that the employees of the sephora inside JC Pennys were JC Penny employees and not employees of sephora. He gave me a $25 sephora gift card and let me keep the JC Penny one.Im just very upset that the employees of this JC Penny sephora are lying and misleading people. Is there NO TRAINING?! STOP DECEIVING YOUR CUSTOMERS!!!
Great savings this weekend!
Theyre completely horrid at this store. Everyone is useless. They dont know how to color match. They never acknowledged you unless youre checking out. Laziest employees Ive ever seen.
The Sephora inside the JCPenny was very rude to my friends and me. The sales clerks did not listen and their automatic answer was no for each of the clerks who helped me. Very poor customer service I left without buying anything.
Good place
This store is horrid. I am a frequent sephora shopper and cannot stand going into this location, the girls here are unfriendly, rude, and extreamly unhelpful. They dont care what you need, or what you need help with. They dont come up to help you, and when they are asked for help they wonder off to get another employee and dont come back! They refuse to take my email down for me to get my points when I forget my card, and I brought a coupon in that I got for renewing my status and they tried to tell me they couldnt take it! They are always out of stock of everything as well!
《EXTREMELY》 rude and unprofessional customer service. Even the managers of the store are like that. I prefer to buy my products online and pay for shipping instead of going to that store again.
Horrible Horrible!!! Racist unprofessional rude snotty brats working here. They dont even pay attention to there customers they should at least hire young woman who know and care about makeup.
Customer service 😢 is bad.
The girls who work in this location are extremely rude. They act as if you are such an inconvenience to their day! I don’t really ever wanna shop here again.
I hate going into this Sephora because its all these older women that arent very friendly. They act snobby and it makes me not want to buy from there.
Worst. Sephora. Ever. Rude employees, very unhelpful.
Outstanding value
My sister and I had just gotten off work and decided to relax and try on a bunch of ridiculous samples. Being someone that usually spends over $200 per visit, I dont mind trying on anything and everything in the store. The only time the employees came over to, help they were being condescending and trying to make us feel guilty about sampling the makeup. Needless to say, I bought some eyeliner and left, and Im never going to that location again.
Terrible employees & they never have anything in stock.
Smaller selection, rude employees, would not apply my points.
Cheap discounts!
F
Stuff for him & her.
Super rude and unprofessional
Loved it!!!
