Found a part on your website and I called in about it. Receptionist was short with me and kept repeating I cant help you without a stock number. The website does not list any stock number. (see attached). I was persistent and offered the warehouse ID to which receptionist tried. She then informed me that this car was crushed in 2011. 9+ years without updating a website and on the website you can still add the part to your cart. Please be careful, do not use the website. receptionist even said that if i need something I need to call and not use their website. Such a waste of time to even have one.

I recently purchased a good used running engine from don at transwest, well somewhere between Utah and North Carolina a certain freight company dropped then engine from a forklift and cracked one of the heads and destroyed the engine, we transwest went above and beyond to help me and refunded all of my money in a timely manner for the engine even though it was the shipping company’s fault so that says a lot about them in my opinion... would purchase from them again!!!!

All parts are overpriced. Always the most expensive among all yards in Utah. Even if you need a small wire (or a little plug/socket) and they know you cant get it from an official dealer (unless you buy the whole wiring system), but for Transwest its a trash-they still will use it against you, they WILL take advantage and will try to sell it to you for way WAY WAY much more than its value to them!!!!!!

Don was excellent to work with. Very impressed with the service. He was honest and up front, no hidden agendas, and fair. I needed a replacement for my passenger side rear-view mirror on my truck. I wont go into all the specifics, but this man did a phenomenal job -- he researched to ensure I got the right part, got back to me in a timely manner, and even worked with his manager when there was an issue with the part ordered from another junkyard in Tennessee. I will definitely go back to Transwest Auto.

I was so impressed and pleased with my experience at Transwest looking for a replacement driver side visor for my Honda. Don was so helpful. He saved me shipping on a part by suggesting I wait a couple of days as he may have the part I needed in Provo as opposed to Portland. He was able to get it for me and saved me $15! His service was excellent!

I needed quite a few parts for my Toyota Prius and found that not only were they cheapest and easiest to find here but the costumer service left nothing to be desired. I bought a used motor for my 02 Silverado, the service guy I talked to was very helpful and courteous, unlike most yards up here in Idaho. I got the motor in 2 days, totally professional!! Cleaned, all lines sealed, wrapped up nice. This is a good place to get a used motor! Mine runs excellent as advertised. GS in Boise.

We needed a replacement wheel after a slide-off on icy roads. We called Transwest and spoke to Don. His accent was slightly hard to understand but he was great. He took our info and a photo by email and looked for the used wheel. Unfortunately, they didnt have the exact match on hand but his system showed another yard that had it. I just went to this place for the first time and let me tell you, it is truly the beat. They look to help find exactly what you need and do not try to upsell you on things you do not need. I called and spoke with Don who was so helpful. He checked his inventory first for the part I needed and after he confirmed it is not in stock, he offere to order the piece for me. Not only was this helpful, he took the time to get the details right by asking me for a paint code so that it matches my car. I am glad he did because I would have just been upset with myself and the establishment for no reason. The follow-up Don has was amazing to me. I failed to call him back a few times but he had the part waiting for me this morning. Don thank you so much for your help and care. This deserves a ten star rating! Transwest has great selection of parts at very fair prices, they only have newer models so don’t expect this place to be like when we used to go on the weekends.we deal with Don Figueroa great customer service.Call Don even if they don’t have it he can get it for you just like he did for us.One more thing, you know who you are, hi is doing a great job, you don’t have to treat hi like you did when I was there..

I had a great experience working with them! I called, verified they had the part I needed, paid over the phone, and picked it up. It ended up being incompatible, but I dont blame them for that. BMW can have two cars of the exact same year, model, and features but with incompatible parts. When I told them, they happily exchanged it for the right part. I could not be more happy with the service that I received, and I will definitely be using them in the future!

Great place to look for parts! They have a great inventory and if they dont have it they will look for it in different yards. Jordan has been a life saver every time I need a part. They are sure one of my top go to places for used parts.

They have the parts I need, usually very prompt and on time pulling the parts and getting them ready. The prices are fair and if not the cheapest out there theyre always clean and very usable, talking to Jordan is awesome and hes always more then helpful, he gets you the right parts the first time so you dont have to come back 20 times. Its been a few years since I have tried to do business with Transwest.I have been avoiding them due to a very poor customer experience I had several years ago.I have finally reached a point of desperation and thought I would give them a try again.Nothing has changed. I have called them have a dozen times over the last week at varying times. 5 of those times I heard the phone pick and, voices in the background and then hang up.I have also tried sending emails because I understand people are busy.I have yet to receive a response to any of my emails or even the contact request form from their website.I finally did get to talk to some one and she seemed polite enough.

Worst possible customer service. Known them for years and they always do or says something that is very frustrating and disappointing. On car-parts they post one price and on the phone theyll quote you a lot more for the same thing. Thats just one out of many dumb things they do.

Stan found a rare quarter glass for my VW. He was very professional on the phone. I paid over the phone & the part was waiting for me when I arrived. This was the most professional transaction I have experienced at any auto salvage yard. I can say enough how Stan went out of his way to help.

They had what I needed, but were unwilling to work with the price that their competitor had for $150.00 cheaper, and 20,000 less miles. The guy I talked to was nice at first, but then got short with me.UPDATE: 5/18/2018Called today and transwest was awesome. They didnt have the part i needed, but offered to get it for me from out of state, and told me that it would be a couple of days before i could get. unfortunately i needed the part before the weekend. I will definitely keep these guys in mind.

Just got off the phone with Transwest Wrecking Yard. Although I spent a lot of time on a phone recording on hold, the agent who got on the phone was very helpful. As it turns out, they did not have the part I needed in stock and he was happy to help me find another wrecking yard in Salt Lake who did have it. This proves Transwest is out to help the customer and act in my best interest, even if they dont profit directly from a sale. Thanks a lot, guys!

I was looking for a visor for my Subaru Tribeca; not an easy task! I called Don and he said they had just sold one. I was bummed. But, then he said he had 2 Tribecas on the lot and hed have them checked to see if they had the visor in the right color. Don called back with the great news! He was very courteous and extremely helpful. Ill definitely go here again for my part needs.

I called to see if they buy cars and the lady acted like i was stupid. She said they would not buy my car cause it was a 2001 and prob had way to many miles on it and that i could drop it off and basically give it to them... i dont think so. Im not stupid. I will call somewhere else like state street auto they are better to deal with.

These morons wasted my time when I specifically told them exactly what I had to sell them. When I get there they tell me they have 3 of the rear axles in stock already, and a bunch of doors we cant even give away. I told them on the phone before bringing the shell down exactly what it had, and exactly what I wanted out of it, and he was happy to have me bring it over. After telling me there isnt anything to really sell on the truck (I specifically mentioned that on the phone, it was more of a scrap metal sell then anything, and that it had a good rear and doors to use) they tried to talk me down on price and then when I finally said screw it, ill take it, they backed out. I finally only agreed to take the lower price they offered, because everything was closing and I didnt want to drag it back home. Thanks for wasting an hour of my time in driving alone, and not to mention having to drag the stupid thing back to my house cause you wouldnt even give me what you said you would when you low balled me after I agreed to take it...

Don’t do business with this place! Worst customer service ever. I bought a transmission for my truck and they delivered it to the wrong transmission shop. After it sat at the wrong place for five days they assured me they would get it over to the right shop first thing the next morning, they didn’t, when I asked if they would do something for me on the price for the inconvenience I was told no.

We have several shops and buy 10k in used parts a month. Every other shop goes out of there way to be friendly, get us parts in a timely manner, get us the correct part, etc. There company in North Ogden was great to deal with. We deal with transwest lehi as little as possible because: they sends us incorrect parts all the time, wants us to pay for parts before they deliver them (no other company requires this), hard to get money back when they deliver incorrect parts, have taken a week to get a part that they have in stock then get upset when we buy from some else and have installed before we even get there part, tell us they have a part in stock so we sent someone to pick it up and they never had it. This is the worst parts company you will ever deal with.

I recently needed to purchase two doors for a 2002 Hyundai Elantra. Don was a great help! He took the time to locate the doors at a lot in Arizona and he arranged to have the doors shipped to Lehi. The final price was the same as if the doors had been on the lot in Lehi already. Don also said that if, once the doors arrived, I found them unsatisfactory, he would be willing to ship them back to Arizona and give me a full refund. I will definitely use Don and Transwest again in the future!

Absolutely Awful! These people are the biggest Liars and rip offs. Sold me two bad transmissions in 10 months. Nick roberts is is Absolute liar! The 2nd one burned out in 5 days! The Owner Doug Cussed me out on the phone for demanding that they take responsibility for selling garbage parts. He believes he knows more that two mechanics with 60 years combined experience. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE IT IS!

I bought a used engine from Transwest and it leaked oil and needed new seals within the 90 day warrantee period. After spending over a thousand dollars to fix it, the engine lasted a few more months and then died. Transwest would not honor the warrantee because the engine didnt totally die win the warrantee period. That engine should never have been sold as a replacement engine.

Dont send the right part.The Whole story vvvvvvAs a shop owner I can say it will be hard for me to even CONSIDER doing business with Transwest again. I spoke with Brian on Friday morning about a head for 95 protege 1.8L, I pre-paid for it and couldnt have emphasized enough the importance of having it in a timely manner, even if it meant me driving 40 mins to go get it. He said dont worry it will be at my shop around noon. So as 1:00 pm came around with no sign of the part I decide to call him up. He said there is no problem it will be at my shop by 5. So closing time came and went with still no sign of the part. Monday 9:00 am call them up they have no idea who I am or what part, Brian tried to play dumb and asked if I called the Lehi one on accident, the he said continued his game with the driver was there and nobody would take delivery. So I called his B.S. on that (As I sit in my office most of the day especially when I am awaiting a part this important). Then he remembered all of the sudden when I called him out on it. He said it would be here by...that right NOON. So as 1:30 came along and i still had no part i called him again, he said the company we ship with took it to the old address,(this is after i spent the first 20 mins of our first phone call explaining how we moved) and wouldnt be back this way for a couple hours. SO...3:30 rolls around Driver shows up, I open up the part, and its not even for the right motor. Priced 50 more than other local companies that could have delivered the right part on Monday, I still opted to pay the 50 extra thinking 50 extra to have it today is better than waiting til Monday and still ended up up s*** creek without a paddle because of them.

This junkyard I call them up to give me a reasonable price on a Cadillac SRX rim and he told me 200 I was like I could order online for way cheaper and said no you can’t and hanged up on me a55

I have 7 kids, been buying cars and trucks from transwest since the 90s for the whole family. Theyve always been fair and allowed me to return a car when the engine had problems. Probably bought 15 plus vehicles from them. really glad theyre around!

Extremely expensive parts. I called and they said they would charge $ 100 for a rear bumper cover (the price it was a little high, because most of the junk they charge $ 45 for the bumper cover). When you get there, they charged me $ 400 for a used bumper cover that new costs $ 170. Also they treated me as a liar because according to them, they write down the value given by phone.

They tell you one thing on the phone, and something different when you arrive.

Having not been there yet nevertheless its prime location gives it just 3 stars....it would earn another 2 if it was opened during the time and days that most people are not at work and had the time to throw a wrench😢
