Amazing mechanic!! Super honest and they clearly want the best for the customer. Took my 06 forester in (204k miles) with some problems and they were very honest about it. Had lots of problems with my rack and pinion and Sean told me all my different options, even the ones that wouldn’t make them any money. Another problem he said they could fix or I could have my mechanic friend do since it wasn’t too hard, just time-consuming. I ended up just paying the diagnostic fee - which is the cheapest one of all the mechanic shops I’ve called in the area. You could really tell that they wanted me to have all the information and make the decision for my car - instead of insisting I pay them X amount of money for something “I absolutely have to get done”. Really appreciated that from Sean! Very honest and nice to work with.Definitely a great shop, will come here every time I need a fix (although hopefully my car won’t need any for a while!)

This place is a great place to have your vehicle looked at and repaired. Never had to worry about getting ripped off. Last time I was here it was a actually cheaper than the quote because they had found the parts for cheaper and it went faster than originally planned. I know some places would have just kept the original quote despite it being cheaper. Give them a try if you want a good, fair mechanic

They are the nicest mechanic I’ve ever seen. My car was dead and cannot start. I called them for jump start my car. They came and didn’t charge for that.I did car inspection last year too. There was a weird electrical issue, I was thought I would be charged for hundreds to replace some units. But they only charge me the inspection fee!I really recommend them!!

This place is incredible - go to for a mechanic. They do everything from the most basic oil change at a good price to intense repair work. Details below on my three visits.Ive come here three times. The first was because someone tried to jump my car but hooked up the leads opposite, and fried a bunch of fuses and internal wiring. They replaced all the parts and internal wiring and gave me a discount on the final labor.The second time I needed my brake pads and brakes replaced. They let me bring in my own parts and used those for the service. Super fast service this time. Also refilled my tired and did a bunch of free checks for me, made some recommendations as to service that could be done but just let me know for next time.The third time I had them disconnect a third party security system, change the oil, change the lug nuts on the tires because they had swollen, do a bunch of checks for 150k miles, and a few other things. They did all of it super fast and at once, which made for really low labor costs, and gave me feedback about how my car was doing.Overall, best mechanic experience Ive ever had, I wished I could bring them with me when I move away from Provo.

After we moved from Provo, we kept bringing our cars to Bradford. With COVID, we thought we would try a closer shop recommended by a neighbor. The new shop quoted us $1,000 on a repair and it seemed excessive. We drove back to Bradford and they had it done the next morning for less than half of the estimate from the other shop. Trying to save a drive is not worth the confidence I have in Bradford treating us fairly and not overcharging. Thanks Sean!

These people do good work quickly and charge medium-high but still fair prices. . . But here is the catch: they will fix whatever related issues they find--without telling you--then charge you for it. We took our car in for what we expected to be a $200 visit, even after clarifying the costs of the work we wanted to have done with an employee. We didnt find out that they did $500 worth of work on our car until we came in to pay. The explanation they gave for the higher cost was helpful, but we would have appreciated having that information before they went ahead and did it.

Ray drove out to I15, gave me his personal truck for the night and arranged a recovery for my car. Ive never had a mechanic go that far out of their way for customer service. I dont work in Provo anymore, but still take my vehicles there.

I’ve taken my car here multiple times over the past 4 years to fix a variety of things (suspension, brakes, alignment, headlights). Ray and his team are awesome, they get things done quickly and never push you to make unnecessary repairs. I’ve also stopped by a couple of times with small problems and they’ve checked it out for free. Affordable for students, super convenient that it’s next to campus, and every time I’ve called they’ve gotten me in the next day. Highly recommend!

It’s my fathers business and I respond to many of the online content reviews and issues. I really appreciate having such great customers. Even the occasional problem gets resolved because it’s a little give and take on both sides. Being next to BYU is a breath of fresh air. Smart students, they know when to ask questions and when to trust they are being helped. We don’t take the trust for granted.

I wanted a second opinion so I took it to Bradford Automotive. He looked inspected the van and informed me that with minor repairs the problem would be solved. Both experiences here were exceptional. Needed my transmission checked out and an oil change. As feared, the transmission turned out to be a mess. They called me to see if I was going to want to keep the car or not before they changed the oil, just so I could save money by not doing a potentially unnecessary oil change. Clearly not looking to screw college kids over. Convenient location, amazing service every time.

Ray and the staff are very friendly. I brought the car in for quick help on my brakes, and they only charged me half an hour or service (many shops would charge the full first hour regardless). The good service and convenient location are big hitters for me.

Ive had everything done here from state-mandated inspections and oil changes up to replacing the rack and pinions. Ray and his crew have been honest and straightforward about costs and expectations, and have been willing to tell me when Id be safe waiting a repair out for a bit if its been a financially wild month. The place is crowded and a little run-down, but I dont blame them for staying put in such a prime spot right by a college campus. Theyre almost always booked with stuff by mid-day, so if you want any chance of having anything seen same-day Id highly recommend showing right up at shop opening. The only exception to this is safety and emissions, which they can usually knock out quickly any time. I highly recommend these guys.

Rapid service and fair prices. I took my car in to check out a vacuum leak - within a half hour he had replaced it, investigated a problem with leaking coolant, and the check engine light was off again. I have been taking my cars to Bradford since 1998 and they have kept my cars in good shape as long as I have had them. They have always been agreeable and helpful and work is usually done same day, so if my car has problems on the way to work, I drop it off and can usually drive home that afternoon. When I have called for comparative prices, they have been cheaper every time. The one time we had a misunderstanding, Ray made it right by me. I’m not surprised when I hear people talk about shops they trust to hear a neighbor or coworker has been taking their car to Bradford’s for years.

Im basically the slum lord of cars, since we have lots of kids driving. Rays team does great work at a fair price, and expedites things even faster when I need him too. He wont recommend any big work if he feels the car is on its last legs. He even suggests when we should go with used or remanufactured parts.

The owner which is Mr. Bradford is nice and I believe he does business on a fair price. I have taken my car to them many times and did not have a problem. However, in December 2015 took my car in and the mechanic I dealt with is named Sandy. Everything went upside down, my car went in good and it came out with a engine light on and the engine failing working on 2 sparks instead of 4. (detail: I took my car for an repair on the heater) . I told him that the car was not in the condition I brought in and he was sarcastic enough to say that the engine light was on when i brought in. This was ridiculous, the guy lying on my face about my car and considering himself full of reason. At that point I knew he did not have good intentions. I delayed writing this review because Mr. Bradford has been a good one and I never had a problem with him. But Sandy was horrible, worst customer experience ever, lying on my face. I was just a college student and had no reason to lie. I felt very offended. However, looking every single day to that engine light on and remembering the guy telling me that i took the car in with the engine light on needed a review.

This is a very reliable place specially for girls like me who have no idea of whats going on with her car. Ray was really nice and honest. I highly recommend this place.

I truly appreciate that they dont try to convince me to fix things in my car that are not broken simply because I am a girl. Ive been taking my cars to Bradford Auto for several years now, and I wouldnt dream of going anywhere else. Though I dont know him personally, he recognizes me as a regular and once let me take his car to work while he worked on my car all day. Once or twice I havent been satisfied with something and hes always handled those situations well and I came out appeased in the end. I would definitely recommend his services to others.

They are very nice, I’ll give them that. But the reason for the two stars is because I had them look at my truck to see why the engine light was on and to give me an estimate on how much it would be to replace my tailgate handle. They charged me $40 just for that!!! They gave me no prior pricing before so I thought it would be a free estimate but nope!! Watch out for that.

Bradford replaced the starter in my college students Honda Civic. They went out of the way to tow his car to their shop and fixed it quickly and at a reasonable price. Great service and trustworthy.

Very honest mechanic. I took my car in to replace my AC compressor/condenser. They went online and searched for the cheapest part available after Autozone wanted $600 for just the compressor. They found a compressor with a clutch and a condenser with dryers for a grand total of 374! Total price of the job was 830 plus tax, and other shops wanted well over a thousand. If youre in the Provo area, Id recommend Bradford.

My window regulator broke 2 years after Bradford Auto replaced it. They were able to coordinate getting the warranty part to me in New Mexico from an Autozone. Grateful for their coordination and service.

Amazing service, honesty, and transparency. They wont pretend you need to replace you air filter, fix an oil leak, put crappy oil in your car, or overcharge you because theyre greedy. They make money because theyre good and people trust them. I highly recommend them, and they wont charge you if you car is fine and doesnt need to be fixed (wont charge to just look at it). When I had a weird noise coming from my axle, I read the reviews for this place and decided this would be the best place to take my car. I came in expecting a nice guy with great service. However, the guy at the counter wasnt very friendly. Three hours and $300 later, I went to pick up my car and they explained the problem. I drive away, and what do you know, the problem is not fixed, not even remotely. If anything, the noise was worse than before. If you dont know what the problem is, just tell me, dont try to bluff your way to $300. Never going here again. (I then went to Les Schwab for the same problem, they identified the real issue in 5 minutes and had it fixed within the hour.)

Rays has always treated me fairly. They even did a small repair and when I went up to pay they said, just come back when you have something real to fix. Everyone Ive interacted with is that stereotypical rough around the edges car guy, but they are honest and do good work. Only complaint is they are too popular so they book up fast.

I brought my car in right before close on a Thursday because my engine started smoking, hoping to get things fixed before I left on a long road trip the next morning. The staff was very accommodating, looked at my car immediately and quickly identified the issue. They repaired my car first thing in the morning so that I was able to go on my way. Not only did they provide excellent work on my car, but everyone in the shop is very friendly and honest about the work they do. Ray and his team are a group you can genuinely trust as far as automobile servicers go.

They seem to provide great service. The interior isnt super modern or clean but they are very friendly and they took care of my vehicle well I believe. If you are in the area and unsure where to go they should be a solid option. If I break down in the area again Im sure Ill drop by again.

This has been my shop for quite some time now, and these guys are fast and good at what they do. More importantly is that theyre are honest, which is more than I can say for most other mechanic shops. Theyll do exactly what they tell you and only what you want them to. This is the shop I refer people to because my experience has been very good.

Their work probably is fine-I havent had problems with the job they did, however they are overpriced. $60 for an oil change. Most likely taking advantage of students who dont question their service & just pay because of the location. I had a quote & was charged $200 more than he originally quoted when I came to pick up my car. When I questioned him about it, he yelled at me, swore, then ripped up the receipt. Just do your research to make sure theyre giving you a fair price and that you have their complete quote in writing.

My caliper on my rear tire was locking up and causing me a lot of problems. I pulled it apart and figured out what the issue was. Unfortunately I did not have the tools to repair it so I started to call around the area for quotes on the repair. I received a number of quotes around $450 and several hours of labor.I then called Bradford Automotive and asked for an estimate. They gave me an estimate around a quarter of that. I called them the following day and they had me bring the car right away. Within two hours my problem was solved. They took great care of my car and were an absolute pleasure to work with. Weve taken an old Nissan Sentra to Bradford Auto 3 or 4 times over the last couple years. Each time they make some specific effort to keep the costs down. Also, the final bill has always been less than estimated. Theyre fast, thoughtful and professional.
