I love coming to this location, John the manager went above and beyond to get an item we wanted, as well as Alex he is awesome and will explain things to you when he delivers your items and Alex would try to help with the best prices!!!

The Provo Rent-A-Center. Does a outstanding customer service job the manager went out of his way to assist me with a problem that came up. With my payment that was due. And allowed me to take the time to take care of it. I have had nothing but a great experience with everyone I have talked with at. I bought a washer back in August 2020, unfortunately, rent a center does not keep what they promise to their customer. On the delivery day I had to ask someone to wait for them from 5-7 pm and they ended up showing at my door at 10 pm, glad I was home at the time because I moved to my new address in September. The washer drum was loose since day one. I called and complained about it, they came a week after I called. The “technician” first told me that nothing was wrong with 2020 new washer, I was like this is not my first washer and it’s not right, then he said he was going to order the new part or see if they had another washer and get back to me (now we are in April and never came) I called several times and they never have answers or they don’t know anything. I do pay a guarantee with my payments every 2 weeks. I had to pay someone to come over and fix it. Also, I called back in January 2021 and changed my debit card over the phone with a representative. They never changed it and kept charging to the same card. This past Saturday the card declined on them because the card was closed since January and they never change the card in their system. Today Monday I got charged a late fee because according to them it was my fault well the system is telling them it was my fault 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m the type of person that I always give opportunities to either a person or business to make it right.But the poor customer services the way this person talked to me over the phone not even apologize for their system being the worst he was really telling me that he was right and not me as a customer, it really made me realized that they deserve to put my first review ever complaining about a business. I don’t tolerate poor customer services, I work on my daily base providing the best customer for the business that I work with and rent a center didn’t treat me right as customer at all.

We love this place. John the store manager is great. Jason is one of the best sales people around. Alex is always pleasant to speak with. We have been coming here for years. They always treat you with respect and are always pleasant. Despite the construction around the area it is nice to go in and see these guys. We have been happy with the furniture and phones we have gotten from them. They always make things right for you.

This place is helpful and easy to get what you want for cheap

I have had a wonderful experience with this Rent-A-Center. I went in to set up a plan for a laptop about 6 months ago. I finally paid it off. Throughout the six months of renting to own from them I have had nothing but positive interactions with the employees. They have all been over the top kind and courteous. I had a little trouble with my laptop twice now (not their fault) and they have been more then willing to help me fix the problems. All in all the store and especially the employees deserve a 5 star rating.

Working from Ohio with this store has been one of the smoothest transactions ever. Not only are the people polite, helpful, and funny they understand when I for get to call them and pay the bill. Thanks for a great experience

I noticed a transaction come across my bank statement that was not mine. I called and the first man I spoke to was nice and understanding. When I called back to hear about any updates.. The man I spoke with said well there isnt anything we can do about this. With a snide under the breath laugh. Super annoying. And not understanding at all. They said in the computer that ID was shown, and it clearly was not me. ( I do know who took my card and used it with permission.) They are not professional, and very unkind.

I swear if I didn’t have to give them a star I would, they have been terrible and giving us a run around to get a refund for something we thought would be easy because we never got it and took it home. Instead I have been waiting for a week now to get the laptop, then we decided we just wanted our money back and now we are getting a run around to get our refund. We have been waiting since the day after we gave hem money to get a refund because we had a different option. I definitely do not recommend them and will not go back.

These guys are great. They have worked with me on payments when i was late, and are always friendly. 10/10 will buy again!

Wonderful Customer Service by the Manager John!! Dan on the other hand is one of the worst Customer Service people ever. He would leave harassing and threatening voice mails. I had him get our couch because I was tired of the treatment. I will never rent there again as long as he works there.

Harassment and they are absolutely terrible!! finally had to hand over my bed due to them constantly coming to my door and wouldnt leave u till they eaither got payment or the bed!!!!! Dont recommend!!!!

Provo location seriously have the WORST customer service. The man who answered the phone said they were re-doing the website for E-pay but wouldnt wave fees for over the phone because he couldnt verify the issue the site was having? But you know theres an issue right? And the lady at the West Valley location offered to wave the fee because of it if we were renting from their store and he says she cant do that-- no she CAN and you WONT because you guys are money hungry and dont believe in doing good by your long term customers! When Im done with the items I have from them I will no longer rent to own from them!

I got my HP Omen from here never been to the actual store but Jason is really nice over the phone, had it since last year and have been making small payments, never had any problems with the laptop ever since, probably will upgrade soon thanks RAC!

Love John and his staff they always try to help you no matter what and will do what they can to help you find what you are looking for!

TL/DR: Provo RAC has a terrible manager try Orem first.This is review is specifically for the Provo location. A week ago I called and made an appointment to see if it would be possible to rent an a TV for the weekend for a bachelors party, the next day I received a call from the company looking for more details, the employee I talked to said to come in the morning of my appointment and I could talk with the manager and work something out )side not I live in Salt Lake, I told the employee this and didnt seem like it would be a big deal).Fast forward to our appointment, the manager had no idea there was even an appointment, when I told him my situation, without missing a beat, in an aggressive tone he said We dont and never have done that, (Im a manger and understand that sometimes employees can make mistakes or misunderstandings take place, but there is getting to point with finesse and being jerk, he was a jerk).I told him that an employee said there was a chance I could work something out with the manger. Again in an aggressive tone he asked who I talked to, I didnt know, it didnt seem important. The manager said, I thought so, no one would say that here, ad this point I was just annoyed at my wasted time, but then an employee comes up and says I think I talked to you, but instead of apologizing for calling me a liar, says that he will not help, (again there is finesse and there is being rude). It was obvious the employee felt a little awkward about everything, and when he asks if I talked to the RAC in Salt Lake, the manager says You live in Salt Lake? I wont rent to you at all. At this point I just leave.Im not saying dont go to RAC, just go to Orem.
