This place is great to rent moving supplies and trucks. The staff was very nice and helpful. When we enter I notice that the supplies that they sell were a good price in comparison to other retail stores. They have different sizes of boxes for TV, regular stuff, even long boxes. They also have covers for TV, mattress and other stuff. The price to rent a truck was very low. I definitely recommend this place for moving supplies.

Reservation and appointments are required to use their trucks, but I guess its because of the good service they provide.Keep in mind youd need to plan ahead if you want to use the bigger truck, prices are really affordable though.

Do not go here for trailer hitch install. Very unorganized. I made an appointment, the part was on backorder but no one bothered to call me. I show up and get sent back home, make another appointment with them. I show up again, they tell me they are unable to install it, I get sent home. They tell me they are going to make an appointment with UHaul in East Providence where they have people who actually know what they are doing. I call them the next week, PVD UHaul never made the appointment for me. That place is terrible!

Would give it a 0 if I could. The guys who worked there were nice enough but there weren’t enough staff people, like was incredibly long and “contactless” check in was a nightmare. Overly complicated and In the end not contactless at all.

Dropped off a U-Haul truck. No one spoke English because it’s not a U-Haul place like it says it’s an ethnic market. They didn’t know anything about the drop off they had to call someone. The girl took the keys and said all set. No receipt. They still haven’t closed out my reservation. Do not use this place!

Quick and easily rented a clean modern truck, out in 10 minutes. Then realized I didnt need the truck after driving 2 miles away, so I returned it with no hassle. The main charge couldnt be waived by anyone but the manager, so I was allowed to keep the contract open until the next day, when I would be able to speak to one.

I went to the place in Pawtucket first on Lonsdale and they were so unhelpful that we walked out. So then we went to the one on Broad Street in Providence and had the easiest time with the best Clerk, she was wonderful. We were in and out maybe 10-15 minutes and drove away with the truck no problem.

Pretty great. Definitely had was I needed in a pinch. Self checkout is kinda rough.

Wonderful staff and service here. Weve used them a couple of times, and theyve been great. My only complaint, and this is corporate U-Haul, not these folks, is the bait and switch of a supposed $19.95 rate. I always end up getting charged (way) more. :(

This is my 2nd time I get aggravated with the people in the rental place. I spoke to a person to rent a 15 truck. She took all my information even my CC & agreed the truck would be available for my pick up date & time & I would have it for 24 hrs. I get there on time & there is no truck available until maybe? 2 hrs later! They call another UHaul location & we agree to pk it up there. The attendant, Ingris, was rude & treated us like we were going to steal something! She gave us the key walked us out to the truck & walked back in without saying a single word! She was just awful!! I returned the truck the same day to the original booking spot as agreed then it took me a week of calling UHaul for them to finally credit my account. I must clarify that my issues were with the local franchises & their employees NOT with UHauls customer service center.

The staff were friendly and courteous. Answer all questions and give expert help about moving and storage.

Workers are very professional. Really look out for you. Well organized.I went in for a trailer hitch and when I found out I had gotten the wrong size ball I went back to the location where the manager went out of him way to assist me in my situation. To me this guy went above and beyond with customer assistants. I needed the piece for a very important project. He could of said Sorry cant help you on that. and could of made it that much easier for himself. If it werent for him I wouldnt have been able to complete my job. 5 star service will definitely be coming back when I need a rental. Satisfied customer. Keep up the great work.

Honestly Ive rented from uhaul before and this has to be the best experience as far as renting the truck (lol 😂 not the moving part of the renting, I got stuck inside my storage unit 10:30pm I guess they lock anyone thats inside in for security purposes you need to call a 800 to get out thats another review of outstanding service) The staff at this Uhaul are friendly helpful and made sure I was of in less then 10 mins. 5 stars plus great job guys!

This is the worst U-haul service. We had an 8 am appointment for an hitch install. We show up early and when it was 8 am no one was available. We made the reservations earlier in the week and they had plenty of time to reschedule if it was going to be an issue.The person working the counter said the person wasnt here and wouldnt be there for another 30 minutes. Then, instead of the U-haul employee calling the owner he gives me the card to call him. When he finally calls the manager, instead of the U-haul employee talking to him, he hands me over the phone and I hand it right back. It is not the customer responsibility to call the manager to find out where the U-haul hitch installer was going to be.While we waited, we over heard other customers complain about the trucks they had rented not being available. Then telling them to go to a U-haul in East Providence where the mileage would cost them more to come back to Providence.When the manager finally showed up there was no apology but excuses. You are the owner and manager of the store you need to take responsibility instead of giving excuses of why you did not show up to work on time. Specially being the last day of the month when there were about 8 customers waiting for their trucks. Now, they couldnt even find the proper hitch part. I cancelled my order and walked right out.

Easy to rent uhaul if you are moving. Very friendly staff

Called the customer service to rent a van. The agent wanted my cell number, email address and full name before even listening to what I needed. I had to repeat the same information over and over because she wasnt listening, or didnt write it down the first time she asked for it. I wanted a van to move a couch to Maine and I told her again and again I wanted to rent it one way and she kept asking when I planned to return it to Providence. It was a frustrating experience and she put me on indefinite hold before disconnecting me.

They were quick and efficient they had exactly what I needed and they were able to check me out quickly upon my return. Ive used them many times, they have an enormous lot with every size rental vehicle you could possibly need, you cant miss them and they really do help you!

Worked with Jean to get a trailer plug wired in and then a week later to pick up a 5x8 cargo trailer for a cross country move. Professional, prompt and respectful. Very good experience.

Gas situation is set up to stall your money. Truck ran fine, but the whole experience was mediocre.

I have used them a few times and the trucks are in good shape and the employees are pleasant.

Their representative Luis is rude, disrespectful, and deserves to be fired. Do not use this company. Never again. Luis threw the keys and said your truck is on the street. Refused to show which truck, did not do a pre truck inspection with me, he just wrote whatever amount of fuel on it that he felt. It was at 1/4 of a tank he wrote 1/2 and said we need to bring it back at a 1/2 tank. You can bet Im going to the BBB if theyre even accredited. Over all uhaul on Broad Street gave me a horrid experience. Wish there was worse than a poor-fair button because Id keep hitting it over and over.
