This place is pretty neat and the drinks are good. I decided to try the seasonal ice tea and was pleasantly surprised. The kick of mint in it does leave you feeling refreshed. It’s take out only, but tables have been placed in the governor/wickeden square so you could always sit there or go for a 5 minute walk and enjoy India Point Park. Overall, nice coffee shop!

I grew up in Providence and now live in Chicagoland. Visiting family since we are all vaccinated now. I love going to new coffee shops. This is hands down the best coffee shop in Providence!! Really great coffee and friendly service. After one day, the barista (Zoe) knew my name and my order. They also have great light breakfast items. Will definitely come back when I visit again.

I honestly disliked this place. Kind of surprised me because they have great reviews.Ill start with the coffee bc that was my biggest complaint. Ordered an iced mocha latte. My biggest complaint was the size to be honest. It came in a 12 oz cup. After ice, I received 8oz of coffee for $6. While $6 is fair across most coffee shops, thats in return for a 20-24 oz cup. So in reality, I wouldve paid 12$ for a normal large 24oz quantity. Now this would be moot if the coffee was AMAZING. However, sadly it wasnt. About average. I couldnt taste the espresso at all. And in a 12 oz cup, leads me to believe it was prob also a single shot. The mocha flavoring tasted like a legitimate cocoa powder. Which was really good. At the end. The coffee was average tasting, too small and over priced in my opinion.I provided a picture of the avocado toast instead of my coffee bc it was the better part of my experience there. The toast was thick and hearty and very good. More warm than toasty but thats not a legitimate complaint. Just preference. However I was disappointed to open the box and find a kind of DIY breakfast kit. Two pieces of bread and an avocado sliced in half with some freshly squeezed lime juice and dried chili flakes. The flakes added a unique kick that Ive never tried before. If you dont like spicy. Id definitely opt out of them. At 10$ tho, I feel this was just a little over priced especially since I had to make my own toast. The flavor was amazing otherwise tho.I gave this place 2 stars because I wasnt happy overall. Mainly just really expensive compared to other shops for what I got in return. The toast however was really good and paired with an average coffee. I cant complain about the taste. Just the price and DIY toast. I wouldnt go again personally. Id recommend it to someone with a warning its a bit expensive for what you get. They have a really good review overall tho. This is just my opinion and experience. So please keep that in mind.

We were there yesterday the shop has turned out to be a very non inviting and rude establishment. You cannot enter the establishment because of covid, the worse part is that you have to wait out in sub freezing temperatures and wait for some one to show up at the small plastic opening in the door and treat you with rude smarting off answers as if to put the customer down.I asked if there is any other place around here that offers seating we were told to go look for a park at the end of street and sit and eat there in 10 degree F weather. The menu was very confusing when asked for an explanation of items we were rudely told you buy sliced bred and spread things on it and that is what we offer we dont spread anything on the bread.I wish this place choose to close than to operate like thisAVOID this place and safe yourself some grief.

This had always been my favourite coffee place in Providence, and the staff really made me feel welcome when I first moved to this city three years ago. But today the pretty blond boy taking orders put my love affair on a break. He takes my order and then points to a screen, which is too far to see in proper details but close enough to be able to make out that there are three blue boxes on it. Then he says, You have the option to tip. So I say, Sure, you can press the middle box, not knowing the amount but assuming the middle option would be fair. He replies, Forty cents, thank you, followed by a string of pleasantries so overly effusive that Id be sure not to miss out on the passive aggressiveness.I would suggest that The Shop changes their pre-set tip options from percentages to flat amounts, e.g. $1 or $2, which I think is what they used to have. Or maybe they can move the screen closer to the window so people can actually read it. And if someone really wanted to tip forty cents, they dont deserve to be returned with snideness. Of course, this is the place with a mural of Trump on the exterior side wall (a sign says it isnt Trump but it sure looks like him), so I shouldnt be so surprised. The coffee was excellent though. As always.

LOOOOOOVE THIS PLACE. Yes, my service and experience here warrants putting that in caps. Although small inside, it is worth trying to find a seat because the vibe is so chill here. Yes, there are plenty of people doing work on their computers, as with any coffee shop. However, there are plenty of seats in varying configurations, you just have to be willing to share a table with strangers, which is actually pretty fun because you get to meet new people. The staff here are SO incredibly friendly and upbeat, they make you want to stay and eat your food their for sure

Just moved out here and while on my quest to find the best latte in town I stumbled upon this little place. The coffee is good. Hopefully not the best in town because Im definitely not going back. So if the coffee is good, why am I never going back the question to be asked. Well, its simple: Customer service. I get it each cup is an art piece that you put a little bit of your soul into, but that doesnt mean you can talk to people however you like.

I dont write many reviews because its just not my shtick, but I came in today around 10:30 to grab a coffee. My go-to drink has been the cortado and I dont have any complaints about the coffee, but its not worth waiting in line and dealing with baristas with attitude when youre debating trying different drinks or trying to learn more about the offerings. I had a few issues with this coffee place. For starters, they charge an extra 50 cents for honey. Its just like any sweetener, why should it be extra. Every other coffee place I know has either a free dispenser or packets of honey, free at your disposal. Second, the milk he used for my coffee separated in my drink, curdling, meaning it was not good anymore. If im going to pay almost 4 dollars for a coffee, I really dont want expired milk in it. I could go on about minute details, but I would rather give my business to the coffee exchange, which is 3 minutes away from this place, and is 10 times better, with friendlier staff as well. Do not go here.

After frequenting this a establishment a few times I feel like my experience this morning merits a note. After walking up the street with a few boxed donuts with a group of friends we wanted to enjoy a nice coffee and support a small business. While ordering inside with a friend a few others chose to wait at the tables located out front. In the time it took to order a coffee one of the baristas took the time to tell part of the group they weren’t welcome - due to the fact they had boxed goods from another establishment. This is normally understandable, as there is no signage indicating that this is frowned upon, especially when purchasing food and drinks FROM THE SHOPThe same individual also made it a point to chastise me over ordering a cup of coffee to go because coffee in plastic wasn’t sustainable. If they were that concerned why not provide biodegradable cups to begin with? Ironic. So the crux of this is why would you would harass a patron to stay when you explicitly told them they weren’t welcome?Take your business elsewhere
