They close at 2:00 PM.If you are looking for coffee in the late afternoon hours, it may be prudent to call any place before going. A convenience store is close nearby for some caffeinated beverages.

Stayed at the graduate hotel in a suite and and went down to get my free coffee with the token the front desk gives you at checkin. Went to order a sandwich and was told “I can’t make you any sandwiches” it’s just coffee. Was disappointed they only had muffins and some danishes. No bagels or fruit. Pretty minimal setup. And the free coffee is self serve drip coffee over by a separate area. The coffee was piping hot and pretty good so maybe that make up for the lack of food options.

Definitely a good place for a breakfast sandwich. To keep it short and sweet, they definitely season your eggs instead of making you do it yourself. Worth the walk to grab a morning bite.

Went to this cafe this morning and this experience was more than underwhelming. The tables didn’t look like they had been wiped down in a while and the floor didn’t look like it was clean. The staff seemed inconvenienced with a simple order. Good coffee though….

While staying at the Graduate for two weeks I witnessed a lot of mismanagement at this cafe. Some days they have cups, sleeves, good coffee and utensils and other days they don’t. It seems like the pastries aren’t fresh and depending on the barista you might get a cold shoulder. I still enjoyed the token coffee for guests and the random muffins I would get although I always requested apple.

Pretty quiet on a Tuesday morning. Not a cheap spot, but has nice decor and lots of open spots. Long table with 6x power outlets, and then tables by the window have outlets underneath. 50/20 wifi is plenty for light work.

Stopped in this weekend while in town for a wedding and was shocked by how rude the staff was. It was not at all busy, yet the three staff members couldnt be bothered to be polite from the first moment of our interaction. We asked one question about muffin flavors and the guy behind the counter was beyond rude. We got our order and hightailed it out of there.

Excellent breakfast sandwiches! Great coffee. Funky decor and vibe. I was staying at a neighboring hotel which did not have food service (still closed for COVID reasons). Glad I found Poindexters!

Their pastries are not fresh, croissant was hard as stone and they warmed it up so you can believe that they are fresh. Taste really bad, not like from yesterday but more like 3/4 days. Coffee is not good either.. bad, bad, bad!

This is one of the more spacious cafes Ive come across in Providence. It has comfy seating, good music, and Stephen who works at the register is so friendly and helpful when you cant decide what to order. My favorite is the avocado toast and my boyfriend loves the sausage egg and cheese on brioche.

Ordered breakfast two days in a row. Service was always slow and they are disorganized. Muffins are not fresh. So sad cause it’s a cute place.

Two drip coffees took a long time to come out. They told us the kitchen was closed even though the customers in front of us ordered food. This is after we waited in line for fifteen minutes. As a guest at the hotel, it is very frustrating to have to wait this long for coffee (there is no coffee in the rooms) and to not have any food available at the hotel.

Not only was the decor beautiful, the place was spotless and the staff was amazing. The food is fresh, flavorful, and their matcha and chai was spot on. I enjoyed each meal I had here, and even grabbed a sandwich for my train ride which held up great.

I love coming to Poindexter after work because its a very relaxing place to be at after a long day. I usually get a turkey club which in my opinion is the best thing ever! I get to enjoy my sandwich while sitting on the comfy seats by the window. I would recommend anyone who works nearby to stop by and enjoy the atmosphere.

Need to fix their hours listed. 5:30 pm Friday night and they’re closed when listed as 8 pm closing time. Hotel Check-in is at 4 and was given some tokens to use. Bummer for guests that the place isn’t open for guests to actually cash their tokens.

This is a very welcoming and comfortable cafe on the first floor of the Graduate Providence hotel. They have a good variety of coffee and tea drinks, as well as a handful of beers and wines for later in the day. The staff are cheerful, and the decor fits right in with the rest of the hotel. Its a great place to hang out for a bit.

Had an hour to kill in Providence and wanted to stay close to Kennedy Plaza, and this place was a perfect clean, safe, cozy place for me to sip on a tea and read a book while I waited. The staff was friendly and the tea was delicious (though I cant speak towards their food). I will definitely be coming back!

I recently worked at Poindexter. I have worked as a manager for other establishments., none can compare to the quality of coffee you get here. I gained so much in sight about coffee and how much quality and what makes the difference in a wonderful cup of coffee and food is awesome. Wish it worked out. Best, Paula

Relatively new place. The staff has been great the first few times Ive been there and the avocado toast was very good. Believe it or not I dont drink coffee so cant comment on that. Interesting decor just what you would think with the name. Definitely casual and fits in with the theme of the new hotel which appears to have a bit of a renovation since the Biltmore.

Disappointing experience. Can tell it was previously a Starbucks, the experience was no different. Wait was RIDICULOUS even for morning rush! Stood on line about 6-8 mins before I even ordered. Waited about the same amount of time after ordering for my cappuccino. It tasted pretty good but even then, too much milk. $5 small mug of steamed coffee milk. Adding to the annoyance of the whole 20 minute grabbing a cup of coffee ordeal were other customers doinking around talking, on cell phones at the condiment station or wandering around aimlessly while waiting- getting in the way of others. I shouldve just gone to my usual spot a couple blocks away, Small Point Cafe. Walked there afterwards to get a second cappuccino and what a difference. Walked in, ordered and sat down with my cappucino in less than 2 minutes. The staff were friendly at Poindexters so its no knock on them or even the quality of my bevvy but the time of service was unacceptably lengthy. Ill stick to Small Point for the rest of our stay in Providence. From the NYC region where we do things much faster and I just cant deal with that level of slow or annoying- especially first thing in the morning when I need my first cup of the day. If youre in a hurry consider going elsewhere. Sorry guys! I tried. 😩
