We have been to Big 5 in Prescott Valley many times and have been satisfiedwith the service, but this time we were THRILLED! Tracy went above and beyond to help us find shoes for our son who has a foot/leg brace that requires him to have 2 different sizes of footwear and they must be light weight so he can walk effectively. Tracy found several different pairs that were on sale and she made certain that the fit was perfect. She was absolutely charming to out little person and truly cared about us finding the proper shoes. OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Closing July 17th for good. Theyve lost their lease.

Great products at decent prices have been going here since they openend.

Consistent product, knowledgeable staff, call before going if you need a specific item.

This particular store is in a wierd spot in Prescott Valley, but its a decent size Big 5 with most likely what youre looking for.

Poor service. Its no wonder the location is unclaimed on yelp. They need training on how to handle situations with covid appropriately. First being to not question or require further information from patrons who have medical exemption from masks and head shield. This location will probably close in the near future as the decline in business is apparent. I would suggest you Order from amazon.

Horrible customer service. Came in to drop some decent cash today. Left due to poor customer service. Will never return. Big 5 is basically KMart. They will be out of business in less than 2 years.

This was a terrible experience at this location.Around 5:30pm I went to the Big 5 in Prescott Valley, Az.The gal at the counter was bent over looking at her phone, I wasnt acknowledged.While looking for the shoes I wanted there wasA manager talking with another employee about how things just werent getting done properly and how she would be put on working the fright truck. We werent more than 16 apart.I decided to ask one of them for help on locating a certain brand. The manager attempts do to but the employee knew exactly where it was.Than after not finding the shoe in a box, I once again had to ask for help, again the employee knew more than manager and she went to get my shoe.I needed a size bigger than what she brought me, there was no one insite to help.Mind you I was the only customer in the storeThe whole time I was there. This store is also very dark inside. As I was leaving, the girlAt the counter was bent down and on phone,Again no acknowledgement of leaving.Poor customer service......

Its where I always start when I need new shoes. Found some lightweight hiking boots that are real comfortable. Salesperson was helpful.

Great place to shop, good selection and good prices. The workers were very friendly and helpful.

The last 5 times in the P.V. store they never have the quality name brand sales. Its always the Bearclaw & Denali & low quality flip flops. Never have quality Reef sandals & high quality hikers & tennis shoes. Always the the same excuse. We dont get what the Phoenix stores get. Save your time show elsewhere or on line. I would have given them a 0 but one star was the lowest. If you are a chain with a National add & you cant deliver your not needed. No one in the store offered me a rain check or told me I could order anything on line.

Denied me service because I wouldnt abide by there liberal views and wear a muzzle. My body... my choice!

Fairly small store with great inventory and an even bigger heart. Went there to buy a pair of hiking boots for my wife. Got that and a pair for me. Great inventory and great prices.

I thought this was supposed to be a sports store. I really have no clue what that place is. Felt like it was a mini Walmart. At least the lady greeted me and said goodbye.

Big 5 is great it has good selection and what had what I needed a pair of shoes I bought a new pair of Skechers tennis shoes

Its a good place to go if there is a sale but otherwise its a very pricey place. Sometimes you can get a deal on shoes

Overall experience was fine. The older gentleman at the gun counter offered poor advice on home defense shotgun. He was certain a double barrel shotgun was the best option for my wife when home alone. He also offered some stellar input like if you need more than 2 rounds, youre in trouble..... Jackass.

I have been a customer for a few years now. I love the selection of merchedise they gave to offer ( exercise equipment, wide selection of athletic shoes, boots, sandals, slippers, to boxing gear, soccer, baseball, basketball etc). Their sale prices are very competitive.

Closing down

Prescott has only a few stores to find quality hiking/running shoes, and Big 5 is one of them. Its a bummer because theyre unorganized, and understaffed with a cluttered atmosphere, and the limited selection of shoes they have have a limited selection of sizes. Its such a waste of time to go their, find a shoe Im willing to settle with, have a hard time finding a person to fetch my size from the back, be told they dont have my size in-store. Repeat this process five more times until you leave the store with something you didnt want only to return it in a week because you hate it. The only other option is to order several shoes online in various sizes, then take them all back to the store except the one you want. Kinda a process.

Good place to go for common sporting items. Good prices. Not much in the specialty dept.
