My sister had her wedding dress altered here three years ago and now I get to wear her dress this year 💕 . No altering needed since they did such a great job! In order to make the dress more my own, I knew I needed to go to Elegant Brides to purchase my belt for the dress and a headband for myself. They had so many beautiful options for me. I was very satisfied with the help that I received from the employee. If I need anything else, I will most definitely go back. I highly recommend all new brides or bridesmaids to check out this beautiful place.

If I could give 100 stars I would.. My experience with Shari was everything I had wanted when I thought of dress shopping.. She made me feel special from the second I walked in all the way to my wedding day... I found the perfect dress and she altered it flawlessly.. She is truly an amazing woman and because of her I was an absolutely stunning bride that captivated the entire room!!

Sherrie the owner is a talented seamstress, so if your gown needs alterations no need to go elsewhere. Wedding gowns in a variety of styles and price range. Veils. Sales racks had lovely dresses at great prices. Tuxedos. Prom dresses. Evening wear. Child and baby sizes as well. Small local shop, individual care and courtesy.

As a Bride, I am not very thrilled with the services here, I just feel like maybe the owner of the store has to much going on to keep track of things. We ordered a dress for my sister that needed alterations, and we got a call saying it was ready to pick up. When we got to the store they were unable to find her dress.... and when they did it had someone elses name on it. My sisters dress did not fit properly at all, when we went in things seemed very off to begin with as we had to stand and wait for someone to even notice we were there... they ended up having to call another customer to make sure that they did not accidentally give my sisters dress away.. Bottom line is we wont be going back, Very stressful situation for a wedding that is weeks away.

My experience with Elegant Brides was not good at all. I took a brand new pair of pants in to have the waist taken in. After several weeks, I went in to see if the alteration was completed, but they could not find my pants...no where to be found. A couple weeks later I got a call stating my pants were ready for pickup. They handed me the pants and they looked like they had been stored at the bottom of a heap...extremely wrinkled. I did not say a word, paid the bill and left. I will never go there again.

Sherri was absolutely amazing in helping me find my dress! I loved the variety of dresses I was able to look through. I definitely didnt expect to find THE DRESS on my first shopping excursion but I did with Sherris help :) Would recommend to all of my friends and family!

A few weeks after getting engaged I stopped into Elegant Brides to browse. I figured I wouldnt find anything, but liked that it was close by and would give me the chance to browse the racks and get some ideas. I immediately loved Shari and couldnt deny how good the prices were. She let me look through everything and assisted me with trying on the gowns I liked. I placed a few on hold and came back with my mom later in the week. I tried the dresses back on, and fell in love with a completely different dress. Shari was so helpful throughout the whole process, and I have no doubt that she will continue to be. For being a small shop she has everything, which is so convenient. The casual atmosphere makes it personal and easy for me to come back for fittings and any other needs. I couldnt reccomend Shari and Elegant Brides more!

I cant say enough about how amazing Shari is! Due to Covid....I didnt think my daughter would get a prom... But last minute we needed a dress for her. I drove 3 hours to make it to the shop before closing and she brought us in with a wonderful smile. She quickly and efficiently Selected dresses for my daughters unique shape. She gave us her professional advice and opinion regarding the proper fit.... Then when my daughter decided which one was the one Shari made strap and hem adjustments and had the dress ready for pick up first thing the next day. Only 15 hours after we left the shop. She is absolutely the best. After she helped my sister with a beautiful wedding dress in 2012.... Ive known I would always support this business. She will always have my love, respect, and amazement at at how knowledgeable and magical she is. ❤️❤️❤️ Worth the drive from anywhere in Arizona!

Shari is the best! My daughter and I stopped by her store looking for a wedding dress. Low and behold, the dress my daughter fell in love with was a size 12 and it was also discontinued so it couldnt be ordered in her size....my daughter is a size 4.Shari was able to alter the dress down to size in just 8 weeks all while adding extra beading without charging us! Shari always made us feel very welcome in her store, very easy to talk with and just extremely good at what she does. She is very dedicated to making sure her alterations are perfect! Absolutely the most wonderful owner who helped my wife find and have the dress shes wanted. The prices are extremely reasonable and the owner is very accommodating. My wife and I did a walk-in without any prior warning of our arrival and requested to purchase a dress. Not just any dress. My wife is small and very specific to her small size of 6. Sherri had it to my surprise and my wife tried on several.After she has tried on a few dresses, Sherri, the owner, asked how soon she needed it and I responded, in 5 days. She didnt give me any grief, whine, or even give me a depressed expression. She looks at me and said, Ill have it ready by Friday (4th day). And sure enough, came back 4 days later and picked it up and was ready for my wife to wear. Absolutely pleased with Sherri and her dedication to her customers... even for the ones that just walk in unannounced (aka me).I would recommend this small, courteous, store in Prescott. Even if you do have to drive a couple hours. She is worth it! I promise you! I will definitely go back if I have any other requests in the future.

WOW! You are amazing! Coming in to help us, so soon after surgery, to help outfit everyone for our last minute event was impressive, but so not necessary. I wish we would have known what you were going through before you came all the way to your shop to do this for us! Please, rest and take good care of you too! You need to let that arm heal! I am so grateful to Sherri for saving my wedding dress. I had a really bad experience with an alteration shop in Scottsdale and I needed help quick because my wedding was a month away! Sherri was so busy and she still fit me into her schedule. I was very impressed with attention to detail and level of professionalism. I HIGHLY recommended Elegant Brides.

Excellent customer service! Sheri has done phenomenal alteration work and has even taken it above and beyond! Our tux orders fit well and we have no complaints. I read a review that said they had a problem with the fitting of a tux that resulted in them having to pay retail price due to them creating a hole in the pants. Sheri made sure our pants fit well BEFORE she sent us off with the tux so I do not see how that could have happened. Overall they have excellent service and I highly recommend getting your wedding or prom attire there!

This place does not deserve even one star! We had an apt for nearly a month and my daughter flew in from Wyoming to wedding dress shop. I called to confirm the apt but on the day of the OWNER did not show up for my daughters apt. When we got there they said she was not coming in!!!!!!! The gal working said we could look at dresses if we wanted to....they are in BAGS!!!!!!! Who does that??? We were crushed....We drove to Phoenix and had the experience of a lifetime at LUV Bridal. Do not go here. Do not risk a once in a lifetime experience to these people. Awful so upset!!!!!!!

Overall I am very pleased with my experience at elegant brides! My mom was in town do we spontaneously went looking for a dress, with no intensions of buying one... But I found the perfect dress at a great price! Sheri was so helpful during the process if if buying and altering the most important dress of my life. My only complaint was that it took about 7 months for my dress to be compete. So glad I found it so early into my engagement. If you are from the Prescott area, go here first! You will not be disappointed.

When I was looking for a seamstress to get alterations done for my wedding dress I came across Elegant Brides. There was a mix between good reviews then reviews that were bad and said Shari was rude etc, so I was worried but took my dress there anyways.... let me say one thing, Shari is AMAZING and no where near rude. If you are skeptical to go to her because of those reviews, don’t listen to them and go see her!My wedding dress has a very long train and I’m 5’ tall so there was a lot of length to take off and Shari did amazing! I took it to her 9 weeks before my wedding and had 3 different appointments where I tried my dress on and we went over everything she did and what she was planning on doing. She is a perfectionist, professional and very friendly.I recommend you go see Shari for all of your alteration needs! If I could give her more than 5 stars I would! Thank you so much Shari!!!!

I brought a way over sized wedding dress to Shari with no expectation shed be able to work with my dress. I asked her if it would help her to get a smaller size and she told me no and took on a huge project. I went in today to try on my dress and Shari worked her alteration magic! I absolutely love everything she did to it and it fits perfectly. I cant believe that the once huge dress now looks so wonderful. She really did so much to help make our day so special.

I bought a dress for my brother wedding and i needed to trim it .. this website came on my search for alterations and Im glad i went there. Sherrie did an amazing job, she trimmed the dress and did an attachable off sholder straps for me as the dress was strapless and also tightened the dress from the top. I would definitely use her again and i recommend her for anyone . The prices are reasonable too

Outstanding customer service, and super friendly! Im visiting Prescott for my little brothers wedding. Sherry is a perfectionist and spent extra time to make sure every little detail for my tux and my brothers tux was perfect. Last summer my daughter got married so we looked locally for a bridal shop. We bought all our dresses and rented our tuxes there. The owner and seamstress, Sheri was very professional and did a great job with everything. I would recommend this shop highly and use them again in the future!

I would not recommend this place!! I paid for my dress and for the alterations on the first day I thought, 2 weeks later I did hear back so I call and it was done. She never called me back to tell me it was done and then charges me more money cause she said I didnt pay for the alterations... I dont like her attitude or business practice!!!

Sheri treated me professionally and was warm and welcoming. She did a great job on my sons letterman jacket. We will be renting our tuxedo from her for our senior prom

I was EXTREMELY pleased with my experience at Elegant Brides! Sheri is beyond wonderful and an AMAZING seamstrest! I decided to check out her store as I wanted to shop locally. I did not plan on making a purchase the day I walked in. She takes really good care of all the dresses and keeps them protected in bags. Which I appreciated! I found this beautiful strapless dress with detailed lace and crystals on it. The train took up half of the store! When I put the dress on I knew it was the one, I felt like a princess! I purchased the dress that day! It was the second one I tried on. My husband and I decided to have a small wedding with no reception and I was concerned about the length of the train and I decided I wanted straps added to the dress. I returned to the bridal shop and discussed this with Sheri. She was so helpful at offer solutions to my problem. She cut the train a little more than half off, added a bustle and straps and did an AMAZING job!! This dress was not easy to alter as it is very detailed, but she did it without hesitation. She kept me up to date on the progress of the dress and brought me in to verify lengths ect. prior to cutting. She was not only interested in making me my perfect wedding dress, she was also interested in the wedding details and how my husband and I met. I HIGHLY recommend this bridal shop for future brides, bridal parties and anyone looking for formal wear or alterations!

I walked in excited about getting ideas for a wedding dress! My fiancé and I went together to browse at some dresses and styles that would suit me. From the moment I walked in I felt like I was in an interogation room. When they asked me about my upcoming wedding. I responded that it was a few months away they visibly made a face of disgust. (I’m assuming they didn’t think it was enough time?) anyways she looked at me and said I was a medium and picked out two that I was going to try on. Which I didn’t even like. When I tried the first one on it was obviously too big she was telling me ways I could alter it. I did not even like the dress. When I initially walked it she said that people usually make an appointment for this. To which I responded “oh okay, I. can just come back then” she ignored me twice. I obviously didn’t want to inconvenience anyone but I felt like I was judged and rushed all at once. Bad experience. I wouldn’t want anyone to feel this way.

On a referral to get a shirt mended, it was wedding month but the owner took the time to mend it, really nice lady,very professional no wonder she is so busy.

This place doesnt even deserve the one star!! I would have never written a review until my phone call on 8/21/13! We rented a suit this past weekend from elegant brides in Prescott valley! We have never been so unhappy and treated so poorly by a local business! First off the whole suit was too big, the event was this past weekend and there was not enough time to keep making trips out to elegant brides! Which who should have to do that anyways? The worker stated she has been doing this for 15 years(so is she saying there is no way this could be her fault) so basically the customer is wrong? The hem was not high enough(either that or she did not sew a good hem) so the pants were stepped on which resulted in a hole. She claims that my brother took the hem out! Let me just say this is a 17 year old BOY that doesn t know the first thing about sewing! After that she changed what she said and said that he had his pants pulled down too low so they were baggy. The whole night he had to keep pulling up his pants because they were not the correct size- yet this is our fault that she didn t measure correctly and sew the hem up high enough! Our whole phone conversation she was interrupting me and being completely unprofessional! She kept telling me NOPE while I was talking! Also when we were picking up the suit they tried to say we ordered shoes and was going to make us pay until finally they realized this was her mistake and there were no shoes ordered on our ticket! The price he paid for the suit and a hat was about $120-this is a suit we get for one day! Now she is charging us for a small hole at the bottom of the pant legs. She has told us 2 different amounts the first charge was $99, and now at $54.00. Is this lady trying to pocket extra money? After fighting back and fourth with the lady we gave up and payed her the $54.00! That is almost $200.00 for a suit that isnt even that great!! I would recommend taking your business somewhere else.- apparently all her customers are liars...at least that s how we feel!!! Oh and I spoke to Sherry!

Shari is a perfectionist with alterations, I get all of my daughters school dance dresses there, and have referred a few friends, and they are equally thrilled....She is so patient even when you try on ten dresses.

I am extremely happy with the service at Elegant Brides! I had a to go in last minute two weeks before my wedding to find a dress. I had a dress on Nordstrom website that I had ordered but last minute they told me it wasnt in stock, so I got the dress in a different color. Not even an hour later they email me saying That one was out of stock as well!I rushed over to Elegant brides and am extremely happy that my dress and the hemming all together were significantly cheaper. Than the dress I was going to get off Nordstrom! Plus, my fiancè says it must have been destiny since the dress is perfect for me. Sherri helped me pick out a dress, was extremely helpful and gave me different ideas, ordered the dress in the right size (Im size xsmall - small) had me come in for fittings and Ill be picking it up today. Im really glad I was able to help out a local store and get amazing customer service in the meantime. I feel bad for having had called her so many times to see if the dress was in or if I could come in for a fitting but I just wanted to be sure it was good to go in time for my flight to Florida next week.Thank you Sherri for the amazing help.. I have no clue what I would have done otherwise, Im so picky and tiny its really hard to find something I lIke since Im not too fond of big frilly dresses.If you want to get a dress here, be sure you have enough time for fittings if its long and youre short like me. Its a small local business and I think the only one in this area so understand you wont be getting your dress that day if it needs to be fitted right or hemmed. Have a little patience, its not an easy job.
