This review is for the Service Dept who earned my 5 Stars. Service is fast with an appointment. I have never been out as quickly as Toyota of Poway; service was just over 30 minutes for a routine oil change for an early am appointment.We have been a Toyota family since the early seventies with many trips to Toyota dealerships and this dealership is now in my Top 3.From the initial drive up to checkout, everyone provided fast and friendly service. Remember to make an appointment prior to coming in which is simple to make via their website. The place is clean, plenty of room to sit with a lot of other businesses that are within walking distance. There is also the usual coffee, TV and free wifi in the customer waiting area.Highly recommend.

Art was my advisor as he has been in the past. I requested him. He took very good care of me and made my experience very pleasant. My car had an oil leak and he checked the warranty and took care of it for me. He is very honest, timely and efficient and knowledgeable! He even gave me car to have until my car was ready and the leak was fixed the same day. He followed all the policy and regulations and did an excellent job as my advisor. He gets the gold star. Everyone giving service was polite and helpful addressing every question and need I had about my vehicle. A detailed description of what was going to be done to my car was discussed with me and approximate wait time given. The person overseeing my service kept me informed throughout my visit. Brian and all the staff were very helpful. I called first but was told I didn’t need an appointment. When I arrived, I was helped out promptly. I was told it would take 2 hours but it only took 1.5 hours. I am pleased with my car and the service I received.

There’s a reason why I drive the extra 25 minutes to get to Toyota of Poway instead of going to Kearney Mesa Toyota (which mind you, is where I bought the car). It’s because of one reason and one reason only: MIKE LEWIS! The man will take absolute excellent care of you; he provides professional and EXCELLENT service that is hard to go unnoticed. It’s something that’s hard to come by these days, truly-ESPECIALLY in the automotive industry. Mike treats you with respect, treats you like you’re a valuable client, and is very clear, professional, and straight forward when he words things. All I can say, is that Mike is who you wanna see! When I booked my service appointment, the site told me that it wasn’t necessary for me to drop my car off and have someone pick me up due to the nature of the service. Made sense. But when I got there, I was informed that it was a 2 to 2.5 hr wait. It did end up being a 2 hr wait. Jessica was super friendly and it was great talking to her. However, she told me the costs of my service, which should have been free with the 2-year policy. After I told her I thought it was free, she double checked and it was indeed free. If I was unaware of this, I would’ve been charged with something that shouldn’t have cost anything. This could have been an overlook on her part, but as woman walking into a dealership, I always have to be extra cautious of not being charged more than I should be.

I’m closer to Escondido Toyota but will make the extra drive to have the quality service and professional treatment by my service advisor Gus at Toyota of Poway. They actually treated me like they wanted to help, not something I’ve found from dealers lately. Toyota of Poway Service Department proves they are different by providing excellent customer care.

I’m not going to lie, I was a bit apprehensive about having my vehicle serviced there based on past reviews, but I’m glad I went. They were very quick and even detailed my van. Always a surprise fee the last 2 times I came in for maintence and despite asking for text / phone updates (they did offer it!) and when they called me to pick up my car and I asked if I owed anything, how it went, etc and it was a simple but pleasant Just please pick up your car before 5:30pm, everything went great but you might need new tires next visit! So, 1 star for lack of communication / surprise fees but 5 stars for the services they do & the people working are always nice when I check in

An excellent experience. If you have to wait for your car to be serviced, at least it should be with free coffee or hot chocolate, popcorn and freshly-baked cookies. Toyota of Poway has all of these. Gustavo was efficient, courteous and informative. I’ll definitely go back!

Talk about a stand up group of people, the whole salesmanship thing is just not a thing here, the staff are super nice, and down to earth. Its really been a breath of fresh air dealing with these guys, I have zero negative to say about any of the staff or sales people.It helps a lot that Toyota sells itself, their reputation speaks volumes, and youre virtually in and out with your car within a hour or two. Painless!

I have been taking my Highlander to Toyota Poway for the last three years for all servicing needs and have always walked out with a positive experience. The staff is extremely courteous, respectful, accommodating and flexible with scheduling service (especially with emergency situations) and the technicians are always spot on with diagnosis. Highly recommend this dealership and would certainly buy and service future vehicles here.

I bought a 03 4Runner last year in September they gave me a list of 20 things they had done to it. About a month ago the back brake started grinding so I took it to my mechanic and he informed me that the rotors and brake pads needed to be replaced so I had it done. I went home and found the list of things they said they did which included the back brakes I asked my mechanic if it was possible that they would go out in a year like that he said that would be impossible and that they were never changed a year ago. Moral of the story is if you buy a car here take it to a mechanic first and go over the list they say they did to make sure they did what they said. I’m very disappointed with the feed back I got from them after telling them what happened all they offered is to look over my car…..

They took care of the airbag recall and said they did an overall inspection, but I doubt it was very thorough. They recommended some random services and supposedly checked through a long list of things and marked them completed and safe. But they missed an obvious broken headlight that doesn’t even have glass, so I’m sure the rest of the inspection had the same attention to detail.

Toyota Poway exceeded my expectations with service, the work performed, and the Premium carwash I added on. Seriously, the car was spotless! Not at all impressed. I had an appointment at 10:20 and I was directed to a service technician who was the wrong person. My appointment had to do with a different person anyhow I waited a little over 20 minutes and finally Art my service technician took care of me and everything went terrific. so just because you have an appointment doesnt necessarily mean things are going to go great but when I finally I was talking to Art everything went smoothly.

I usually have a good experience but the last 2 times Ive brought my car in I didnt. Both times I had an appointment and had to wait 20 to 30 minutes before anyone came out to see me and I was the only one out there . And also I dont know how it should take 2 + hours for just an oil change. I will give you the benefit of the doubt because Ive been going there for years and have had good service before.

C/S is always great with customer seating for waiting with clients, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, magazines and TV podcast for entertainment. Gives very good ET of completion to allow walking across to strip mall if desired. Gives great preplanned service w/o any surprise additional charges.

I can’t recommend Toyota of Poway enough! Lionel was incredibly helpful and friendly, and really set me at ease throughout the whole process. He helped me find the perfect car that met all my needs. Ivan was also a pleasure to work with and made the whole buying process run very smoothly. You can tell he truly has the customer’s best interest in mind. I was at the Civic Center and when I needed to leave my car wouldn’t start. I had roadside service jump the battery. And since I was in Poway I went to the dealership there to have the battery checked and eventually replaced. I am very pleased with the service I received today. My check in person was Jessica and she did a fantastic job keeping me posted on how things were going.The dealership was very busy but they got me through in a couple of hours. I certainly would recommend them.

I bought my car from this Poway Toyota dealership over a year ago. I came in for a tire rotation and too get maintenance check up. The dealership hooked it up with a car wash and a free tire rotation. I ended up needing a little work done so they sent me home in an Uber because I was there since early morning. Thank goodness for the extended warranty because i only had to pay a small deductible to get my car fixed up. My service advisor was Jessica Macias. She was very personable, friendly, helpful, and assuring. They’re waiting room had free drinks, Wi-Fi, outlets w/ desk, comfy chairs, and Tv. Overall this place makes you Beyond comfortable while your car is getting serviced. This location has a great team, thank you.

I arrived for my 10am appointment and pulled in to the service center. About one minute later, another customer pulled in behind me and was greeted and checked in. About five minutes later I was told to pull forward. Another five minutes later I was finally approached- and told someone would be with me. So far it was around 1015. I explain what was going on with my vehicle to the technician, even though I had applied all the same information when I scheduled my appointment. So far Im feeling ignored but Im not upset.I sit at one of the tables outside and just relax- thinking it wont be but an hour, maybe an hour and a half.I was wrong.It took three hours for my technician to talk to me again. No updates. No oh hey were super behind, this is taking some time. Just flat out ignored. At this point I am upset. Three hours for a tire pressure indicator check- to tell me I have an irreparable puncture and need a new tire. I move forward with the service because it needs to be done, but at this point Im just over everything and want to be done.Another hour and a half goes by and FINALLY my vehicle is ready. I get my vehicle back at 230.4 1/2 hours. A little bit of communication would have made this a good experience, but at this point I never want to go back to the Service Center at Poway Toyota.

My service advisor is Trevor. He is the only one I will let handle my Tacoma. He is the best communicator in the department always telling me what recommended maintenance needs to get accomplished now versus what can wait and how long it can wait. He goes above and beyond accommodating each customer with specific needs. If you take your car to Poway Toyota, you’re doing yourself a disservice not requesting Trevor as your Service Advisor!

My first time going to the Poway location and I have tried 2 other Toyota dealerships (Escondido and Toyota Norm).Before I could even park my car I was already greeted by someone when I entered under the carport for car my 10k miles maintenance service. I was introduced to “Panther” better known as Gus. Already you can get the sense how well everyone worked really well with each other by having nicknames for each other!I felt like I walked in to Trader Joe’s or Starbucks by their comradery, but at a car dealership!They introduced their name and title to me andguided me to who I needed to speak to. Not only was Gus professional but so were the rest of the team. I was amazed and I am so happy I found them. They are worth the extra mile to get great service! THANK YOU!!!

I had a 10AM appointment, which I was a few minutes early for. I had been told that it would take about 1 1/2 hour for the service. When the person took possession of my car, he asked for my cell # so I could be notified when my car was done. I said I would be in the waiting room, but gave him the cell# anyway. I asked directions to the waiting room, which he gave. At 12:10, he happened to notice me in the waiting room and said my car was finished. When I got home, I realized that my car had been ready at 11:20. I was told that he tried to call my cell, but it wouldnt go through. So, he left a text on my home phone. He never came into the waiting area and called my name, as other people had done for their clients. This would have been a 5-star review, if I hadnt been left for an additional 50 minutes in the waiting room!!!

I had a wonderful experience here, from my salesperson Dan to my financer Toby. I waited for my car to come in for 3 weeks and was in regular communication with Dan to make sure I had everything and every other dealership I went to shop around, said I was probably not going to be able to get the car for what was promised to me. Toyota of Poway typically has good service, but my recent visit was not one of them.Quoted two hours, it took almost 4.5 hours before everything was done.Quoted an increased rate (ok, the new charges were probably necessary but padded at a dealership), but they forgot to add taxes which added more to the cost.Cashier couldn’t explain the extra charges, kept shuffling papers waiting for the answer to appear, then finally asked me to go back to my service advisor, instead of calling him.I was not a happy camper when I left.

Service was fine. Their response time was average. Their bumper to bumper service policy was terrible. Only two years or 5 maintenance services in two years and if not used within 2 years, they automatically cancel the unused ones. Pricing as expected from a dealership service was overpriced. They even charged for the paper seat covers they use. There didn’t even seem to be an attempt at trying to keep the customer happy. I have no interest in servicing my cars with Poway Toyota Service again.

Services are adequate. The service advisors are usually annoying and typically try to up-sell you on multiple things per visit, even useless things that are unnecessary. My AC works just fine and they wanted to charge me $160 to clean it

My first and very own personal car buying experience was unstressful and successful  made possible by Toyota of Poway car dealership. A big shout out to Mario for responding to my first inquiries quickly and continually follow through with all my Q&A concerns through phone calls, texts, and emails.  Mario did welcome me like a VIP and I began the process of drive testing, loan application, and he eventually initiated car detailing.  Also, Id like to make it known that Ivan, the sales manager, was instrumental in coming up with a competitive price on 2022 Toyota Corolla SE.  I highly recommend Toyota of Poway for their exceptional customer service.  Now, I could finally say that I am the proud owner of 2022 Corolla SE.  Thanks Poway!

Jessica M. in the service department was very helpful throughout the entire process. Went in for a tire purchase and an oil change and everything went smoothly from setting up the appt to picking up the loaner. I was able to have a loaner for the day so I didnt have to sit it out at the dealership.

Highly recommend this car service dealership, they’re efficient and trust worthy. A big thanks to Peter in service, who truly helped me get my car in better shape. I was driving to SD for wedding planning appointments and my car decide to brake down on the way there. He took us in immediately, made us a priority due to our unique dilema and made it all happen with the rest of his team. I would come back in heart best!

It started from the entrance to the service door. Lots of cars, in line. But it goes fast. The attendant, Sebastian, answered all my questions. Handed me a bottle of water and moved the car in front of me. Then to the lady behind the desk, Jessica. She wrote all my requests to be done. Then waiting time. There are seats and TV to watch. Social distancing and masks are observed. Then the work was done. The cashier man is nice and out the door, the other attendant gave me another bottle of water. It took around 3 hours, but I was comfortable.

Peter was great . I was a first time customer as Im new in the area. My only concern was that I was left alone by my car after an initial hello for over 5 minutes. It wasnt busy and many employees were walking past to get lunch at the food truck. No one asked if I had been helped. I felt a little lost until Peter came outside and took my information. At that point I was well taken care of.

Everyone was incredibly polite and straight forward. I always get anxious changing service centers (I purchased at El Cajon and went there for years before going to Santee for a few years and now I am in Poway) but this location was the easiest for me. The texting format and digital confirmation of the EXACT services I wanted done where it allowed me to opt in to extra services or delay them was incredibly helpful and convenient for planning what I needed done versus what I had time to do and I never fell out of the loop. JD did a great job helping me along with the rest of the team at Toyota of Poway.
