My ShopRite. Always fresh fruit, well stocked shelves, meats, frozen, prepared foods, etc., etc. I can go on for hours! But alas, one must see with ones eyes to truly know. Go and see. Many thanks to the good people at this location that make it the great shoppers experience that it is.

They have a wide variety of gluten-free products, even in the bakery section!

If I could give this specific shoprite one stars I would. I bought two beverages. The cashier didn’t ring up both of my items even though I specifically said there are two drinks and placed them on the conveyor belt. She then accused me of stealing and chased me out of the store and made me feel like a criminal.

Well-organized branch of ShopRite, with sections specializing in fish, meats, produce, fruits, flower and bakery. Lotto games on sale at a designated counter. Clean, modern bathrooms on site. Extensive section for beers. Outside is a kiosk of RedBox, and a terminal for returns of water cooler bottles. Lots of parking available in lot outside.

I always run in to grab lunch on my break. The prepared hot and cold sandwiches and food are the best! The staff that works that section are very polite and helpful.

Best SR in the area...love their sushi, fresh wonton and eggrolls...fried chicken is great. Hate their new deli counter and order procedure. The meat and cheese is usually sliced wrong. Too thick or two thin and you cant wait for it. You need to shop and then go back to deli...cant tell you how many times I forgot the cold cuts at check out. I buy at Addams now.

Rude, dismissive, impolite, staff. It should be easy to instruct the employees that operate your registers to say a simple hello and acknowledge them standing there. It might even be overlooked if you were busy however you were not when I came in. There was no one in line before me or after me. I have documented the event on your website for your review.

Weve been shopping online with pickup outside the store. This procedure has worked well for us and keeps us out of a busy store. The few times weve been in the store it is well organized, clean and has great flow.We recommend this store, especially the curbside pickup, in this covid worldI find it necessary to amend my review. On the next order 3 sale items not available on first morning of sale, substitutions made we did not authorize and several items were charged at above sale price.First time with problems. Last time well have someone else do our shopping.Amending yet again. After shopping ourselves in store we found that about 20percent of the items we looked for greeted us with empty shelf space. In addition, when we went to buy deli items we were told we could only order on the computer system. We prefer not to so we skipped it. I guess we are heading to Adams.

Its a large ShopRite. It is nice, clean. For some reason the layout isnt intuitive compared to other ShopRites. For example, Fishkill ShopRite is not as nice visually but the organization is much better in my opinion. Also last time I visited ShopRite in Poughkeepsie they made me order deli items on a screen kiosk, and I had to wait 10 minutes for that to be ready. Other locations are operating normally where you just ask a deli employee for what you want.

I just wrote a lengthy review, but the comment box wouldnt scroll up and before I was able to post it, it disappeared.Summary: Used to consider ShopRite our favorite grocery. Competitive prices (not so much anymore), good produce, bakery, meat departments. No more.Biggest complaint - their (apparently deliberately) confusing printed receipts that seem designed to obfuscate attempts to verify that you actually benefitted from their advertised sales and promotions.ShopRite used to be much more customer oriented. I guess times have changed. 😭 So sad. 😔

The store itself is fine. But Shoprite from home, double check, hell triple check because they be charging on the receipt and you don’t have all your groceries. Then if you call they say they going to refund on your next order, umm really?what if you don’t want to shop there anymore, then you just paid for something you didn’t receive. Smfh Also the lady at Shoprite from home is rude and a liar. She claimed she only charged two waters but the receipt said three smh. Be careful

The best thing about this store is the Shop At Home program. You can buy online and have it either there for you to pick up or have it delivered to your home. It has had some changes and theyre not all good changes. Ive recently started using the Walmart shop and home program. (see that review) but this will still be my stand by. But to get the very best prices you have to buy certain items and bulk them with other items you might not usually buy for a deeper discount. I have personal views why I dont want to give Walmart my business, but Shoprites prices need to stay good. Instead of just during a sale. Shoprite has a habit of putting something on sale, then for the next two weeks its more than other stores, then its back on sale. I dont know if theyre banking on you not noticing or them hoping that you need the item weekly and will pay the higher price. But either way, its had me bouncing around and trying whatever is on sale and stocking up with my favorite items are on sale..

Always freah and have everything

In and out quickly with many self check out registers. Always stocked. The only negative is a lack of friendly customer service, other than the bread guy, dont remember his name.

Everything is wonderfully set up and organized, myself my wife and my grandmother had a blast shopping there the other night their sales are amazing not many places can be them!!

Good selection of groceries, the meat dept is very small compared to the rest of the store.

Nice attentive staff. Two of them were disinfecting the self checkouts as I walked up. Frank was especially helpful and provided some comic relief. (Thank you Frank!) They had tons of toilet paper and paper towels. First time Ive seen it stocked like that since March and its mid May now. Prices have increased for produce. $1.49 for green bell peppers. $2.99 for a 5lb bag of russet potatoes generic brand. Milk is up too. Not their fault though I know. Its a result of the pandemic.

I have been shopping at this store since we moved up here, I had an issue last week when I was shopping with my mom, I found tortellini Buitoni brand under a tag that showed $2.49 price and grabbed 2. I took a picture just in case. When I went to check out I had to use the self check out as it was 10:20pm and they were no cashiers available even though they had people packing and organizing the store. I asked someone and they told me you have to use the self check out. I had two shopping carts worth of food with a value close to $400. As I was finishing the two tortellini came up at $7.59 and a supervisor was called and said she will check, she went to check and came back with the tag to show me that it said lasagna. How am I suppose to bend and remove the label to see what it said??? I asked for her manager and Chris Tiberio came he told me that I was wrong and that there was a lasagna there I showed him the two picture of a full case that was packed in the wrong spot, his answer was I have 21thousand items and can’t be checking everyone. It wasn’t much about the money but the principal, he never apologized, he didn’t even offer me a discount price for the inconvenience, (those items go on sale all year long) I simple was very disappointed as I had work in retail myself and work in sales now and it’s not how you treat a customer. The Store Manager should teach and train their employees to at least show that you empathize or care about your customers. To even made it funnier I went back to check and they had put a SR lasagna in front but all items in the back were still the other brand. Shame shame shame.

Large clean supermarket with a great selection.

If the store has signs up insisting people wear a mask because of state law, the employees should also be wearing their masks covering their mouth AND NOSE. I saw no less than 3 employees working around and among shoppers with their nose exposed. Not only is this a health hazard in the first place, it also sets a bad example for shoppers and coworkers... and oh yeah, its a violation of state law. The same state law youve got posted all over the entrance to the store, in addition to the announcement made every few minutes.I know you cant control customers behavior (goodness knows several of them were also wearing their masks improperly), but the least you can do is lead by example and make sure staff is doing what you expect the rest of us to do. Especially when what you expect the rest of us to do is state law.

I just want to thank all the shoprite employees that we encountered today in the Poughkeepsie store. They where amazing considering everything they are working through right now. They were wiping down carts and spraying disinfectant as you walked in. Helping people in the isles to find alternatives to favorite items. I would especially like to thank Frank on check out isle number one. He made our entire day with his infectious smile and up beat attitude in a very troubling time. I hope you enjoyed the cheese

Has almost every grocery, meat, dairy, juice, etc. item you can think of and its a very clean store. I buy my deli items from here all the time. The deli is quick and efficient. Customer Service is excellent and Managers are always on hand to answer questions or provide service.

Shop from home is totally useless at this point. Items are often out of stock with no substitutions supplied. Before picking up a recent order I personally located an out of stock item AND reasonable substitutions for those that really were out (ex: Sara Lee Delightful Whole Wheat bread vs. Multi Grain). I pointed this out when I picked up my order and the woman apologized saying theyve hired a lot of new people.Today I called to question the latest out of stock items (NINE - including basics like a bag of lettuce, bread, tortilla chips and canned beans!!) and was told if no substitutions were offered there are no similarly priced items - they cant go back to look for substitutions after the fact. Wanna bet I find reasonable substitutes for most of them?Oh, and dont forget I now get to either bring bags and pack my own groceries or pay a nickel each for flimsy paper bags that rarely make it through my front door without tearing. Time to check out Instacart.

Saw this dude and his dad waiting for people to leave the carts and not take the quarter and I stood there next to the carts and the kid walked away without a couple so then his dad came and took what was left...I leave the cart in case someone doesnt have a quarter or they dont want to touch all the carts together, these 2 are basically just stealing...

Unpleasant workers who harrumphed at helping me find horseradish!! Also not wearing masks and walking the wrong way in the aisles... And Im talking EMPLOYEES as well as customers. Its not safe. And they dont have hours for seniors any more. Ima find a new store!!

In not to fond of the store set up i felt a little lost even with the signs BUT they have a liquor store which was nice and calming 😌 overall wasnt too bad.

Out of the three Shop Rites in the immediate area, this one has the best selection and a flow to the store where you can find items easily. Regardless of what you are looking for, this location has pretty much what you are searching for.

Shop-Rite is a chain store supermarket that has many good advertised sales weekly. From produce, the deli, meat department, frozen foods, dairy, pet food, etc.. you can find it here. Shop-Rite is especially known for their cans-cans sales.By the way, they also sell greeting cards for your convenience. Sometimes youre in a rush to buy a card for some occasion and you dont have enough time to go elsewhere.I have shopped here for many years and I still do.

I like going to various stores, and I go there because I have little side gigs that allow me to go to some of these stores. While I work. I also walk around the store to see whats there and sometimes I even purchased items. I have noticed that in various stores, they have different items at different locations. Everyone is practicing social distancing and staff is wearing masks.

Its a nice grocery store. No frills, which is fine those cost money. Good selection, fair prices. Carrie from online shopping was extremely friendly and helpful.

Its clean, but Im sorry, I gotta say, too crowded. I literally started leaving my cart and walking down the aisle without it because I would get trapped in the aisle by 2 people at one end and 2 at the other. And I dont mean crowded as in too many people, I mean crowded as theres not enough space. I was also not impressed with the fruit. The berries already had mold sitting on the shelf. Sorry, Ill stick with stop and shop!

I love ShopRite! I go to two of them. The one thats considered ShopRite Poughkeepsie and the one thats considered ShopRite Lagrangeville which is in arthursburg on Route 82. this current visit in Poughkeepsie the staff was very helpful and very nice. They never turn you down or push you off onto somebody else when you need help with something. And the store is always clean.!

Since their remodel and revised mission they have gotten pricier, trying to go upscale. The near complete obfuscation of the front with a liquor purveyor crowds and darkens the food aisles to the rear. They underestimated the advantages of natural light and what was a better flow for grocery shopping.

Although further away, this store is well stocked. The self checkout stations make it easier to exit.

My visit to Shop Rite was pleasant, hand sanitizer is always provided and everyone wears their masks.

Out of products we were able to routinely purchase for years.Emailed corporate to ask about it and never got a response.

We went about 7:45am, and the store wasnt crowded. We were able to shop with minimal interactions. The only problem was that people still go the wrong direction down the isle, and some will take off their mask to talk on the phone. Some people just dont care.

The store itself is fine, for the most part friendly staff, my complaint is shoprite at home, I went there on Thursday evening to pick up my order that was ready and I had to wait for 20 minutes because there was a lady picking up her order as well and decided that she needed to purchase about $200 worth more of groceries at that check out ! That is not fair to anybody else the purpose of ShopRite at home is for convenience and for it to be quick not for you to ring somebody out for another 25 minutes!!! One girl working while another girl just walked around aimlessly doing absolutely nothing I will never do ShopRite at home again horrible experience

Maybe I just happen to be in ShopRite during a good time, but this store appeared much more organized, cleaner, and overall superior to the Stop and Shops in Dutchess County.

STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THEIR LIQUOR WTORE!!!! Manager Christine is absolutely rude! Brought my 15 year old sister with me and she wouldn’t sell me alcohol because they don’t serve to people who bring in families!!!! Screaming for me to read the sign on the way in across the counter. This is a manager!!!! How????Horrible customer service Shoprite should let them go with how bad they are.I want a response from this company before I file a state complaint!

1 express and 4 other registers open out of 15. 12/12 at 1:15. Lines all backed up. 3 melted ice creams by the time I pay. I left them. I had too much for self checkout. Always like this. No one even at register supervisor desk to complain to.

Its a grocery store. Some staff is helpful, some less so. The shelves were pretty bare for a Saturday evening.

I have not been to ShopRite for 4 to 5 months, I was surprised to see the entire Poughkeepsie store remodeling. It was business as usual and there was a sense of confusion as some products was relocated or discontinued. However it is, things seem to flow much easier than before. I like the Poughkeepsie store, there is a new evolving emphasis on healthy organic products. The cost is on the economical side of things. Checking out was a breeze, friendly staff better store.
