They were so kind and patient. The Dr. was thorough even asking questions that helped her understand my sight, that I wouldnt have thought to mention. They are my go to from now on.

I found all staff at Dutchess Optometry delightfully pleasant, courteous and attentive. Dr Lappan was quite nice, informative, and she provided clarification on how a previous eye exam I had with a different optometrist in another state could have included a misdiagnosis of early cataracts. I came away from my visit with a clean bill of eye-health, and a cool new pair of glasses.

Love this place! I found DCO via my provider’s directory and lucked up on a last minute appointment. As a first time visitor, it was really awesome! I was very impressed with Dr. Lappan - she is extremely professional, friendly, and thorough, and extremely knowledgeable and eager to answer questions and provide explanations. The office is kept very sanitary, and wait time was very short. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. I am 61 and have worn glasses since 3rd grade, and this was the best optometrist experience I have ever had! I would highly recommend Dutchess Optometry!

Terri is so great to work with at the Poughkeepsie office! Every time I have to go in I ask for her because she does such a phenomenal job when it comes to frames and lenses and the million questions I have. Since she has such an eclectic collection of frames herself she is very good with suggestions for frames that will suit you and your face. Need adjustments? She is great at making those slight adjustments until its absolutely perfect! Which is great for me as I never know if its going to be too tight or too loose or what. Even with a mask on these days! Shes wonderful. Even if I have an appointment at the Red Hook office I will always buy from Terri. Shell never steer you wrong!

Everyone I had an interaction with today was great!! They really listened to my concerns and didn’t feel rushed through my appointment! Plus they have a great selection of frames and am actually excited to get my new glasses! Definitely recommend them!!

We has used D.O. for years to get my daughter’s glasses. They always took care of us, even when we needed a frame replacement due to a cosmetic defect. Recently, I had an eye competed for myself. Friendly, knowledgeable, and clean! The staff absolutely know what to do and makes your visit enjoyable! They are top notch and definitely on top of COVID clean/compliance.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Tracy Sheedy for a number of years and I recommend her without reservation. I have an eye health issue which Ive been managing successfully with her care for many years, and Ive always purchased my regular glasses and sunglasses from the practice because I have full confidence that they will be correct every time--plus they have a great selection of frames to choose from. The staff is extremely well-organized, warm and friendly, and professional, and the doctors are always on schedule. I have never felt rushed with Dr. Sheedy; I feel like Im the only patient she sees all day--she gives me lots of time to discuss eye and general health issues, and when I contact her via the patient portal between appointments, she gets back to me in a timely fashion.

Always an excellent experience for my annual exam and picking a new pair of glasses. Dr. Sheedy and Dr. Lappan are both very through and Terri is so accommodating and knowledgeable for selecting frames and lenses. I have been a patient for 10 years and always have had good experiences.

I was very happy with the service I received at Dutchess optometry. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Lappan. The staff really bend over backwards to find the right prescription for me. This was my optometrist for a couple of years. I would honestly have to say that the front end staff seemed like they were doing everything they could to be as unhelpful to me as possible. The optometrist and optometrist assistant were great but I cannot recommend this office.

I called the office on a Monday morning to schedule an appointment for myself and my fiance. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. I was able to get an appointment for myself only a couple days later as well as schedule one for my fiance. I arrived a little early for my appointment and was greeted pleasantly. Every staff member I dealt with seemed happy to help with anything I needed. I was able to easily and effortlessly order new glasses and left with a trial pair of contacts that I had seen online and wanted to try. These guys have my eye needs covered for the foreseeable future.

As usual, Dr. Lappan is so professional and friendly. It is always a wonderful experience to have her conduct.my exam. She explains what is being done, shares the results with me and is a pleasure to deal with. Mrs. Netto is extremely good at helping me select new frames and also fun to work with making the selection. The staff at the front desk are always pleasant and helpful. This is my first time there since the COVID virus and they have a good procedure. They all wore face masks, the office was cleaned and they required their patients to wear masks. They were very proactive in social distancing for their patients. I feltl very comfortable there.

I cannot say enough about how truly wonderful Dutchess Optometry is! My eyesight is a special challenge, and before finding Dr. Lappan, I hadnt seen clearly for over three years. She literally gave me the gift of sight that Id come to believe was lost to me forever.Thanks to her thorough, patient, friendly examination, a tremendous selection of frames and lens options, and the tireless and compassionate attention of Terry, Becky, and the entire staff, I feel like I have a new lease on life!! Dont come here. The people dont know what theyre doing. My insurance changed and I was told that my appointment would be covered but not glasses. I showed up and was told this was not true. They stared at me like it was my fault. Incredibly rude and ignorant staff. Dont waste your time.

Great office. Saw Dr. Sheedy. Everyone in the office is great. You can feel totally secure and in expert hands at this office.

Extremely rude. My first visit to the location they told me they were on lunch and thats why the door was locked and to leave since I entered through another door that I assumed was the entrance as they were under construction. A sign saying they were on lunch would have sufficed. Will find another doctor.
