Super friendly staff. The associate at the register the day I went sorry fant remember her name but she was so kind and gentle with customer in front of me who was elderly. I complimented her on her extreme professionalism wish I had written her name and called back to speak to the owner. The young lady deserves a raise.

As a new sewer Im finding a whole new world fun at 61! The folks that work there are always helpful, very sweet and you can their enjoying their job. The selection is great, prices are very reasonable and love those sales and coupons on the app!! While shopping Ive met lovely co- knitters, sewers experienced and newbies sharing their work during this exhausting pandemic!! Great place to make new friends 😊🛒🛍️🖍️🖌️🎨✂️

By far one of my favorite Joann locations. I shop here frequently for my small business and enjoy talking with the very social and helpful employees. The store is clean, and well stocked. They will go out of their way to order something if they do not have it in store. I am a frequent customer at Joanns from NJ to NY and this one is by far my favorite.

They have beautiful materials far more than expected for the a Id sewer. Unfortunately the beads section was basic and not extensive and neither was their yarn section which I was looking for. I would suggest calling if you want something in particular. The service was average. They were polite and helpful.

Went in to pick up an on line order. Came in at dinner time in bad weather to avoid having to wait as in the past. The plan worked as far as not a customer in the store except myself, but, but not even one of the five employees that saw me standing there asked if I needed help. I had to say ask if someone could help me after standing there about 3 minutes. Rude and unhelpful as usual whenever I have gone in there in the past. Not nice

I went on the evening of October 18th and I was really disappointed with the quality of customer service. The staff person who rang me out was both rude and unhelpful. As someone who loves JoAnns, I was really disappointed by this. My expectation as a customer is to have a pleasant shopping experience without receiving unwarranted attitude from the staff. Long story short, I will definitely think twice before shopping there again.

Thankful for having a JoAnns nearby for all of our planned and last minute crafting needs. They may have more fabric than the other stores BUT it is most important to know that they seem to have most other crafting needs that you may be looking for, coupons are easy to locate, and they have many options for ready made holiday decor & clothing accessories

Returned an item ordered online they took damaged item back but of course did not have that item in stock.

Store has limited supply of yarn. But some nice deals. I purchased $50 worth of yarn for $30 including tax and eyes for project I am making for a friend.

I was in the store because my wife loves Jo-Ann. So its five stars because shes never wrong.

Joanns has been one of my go to craft stores alongside Michaels since I was a girl. Even in California! The sales are great during the holidays and I always find what Im looking for.... and sometimes more! Unfortunately, the Poughkeepsie store could use some sprucing up as of late, its a layout nightmare, lol!When you first walk in, there is a tiny cash register in the middle of the store entrapping an employee who is oh-so happily checking out customers... in a line that extends halfway to the back of the store! Keep in mind that the entrance is also the exit, furthering frustration as you near the end of your shopping experience.Caution: Beware of wearing a winter coat, or a somewhat large purse in the store because, if you do, youre very likely to knock something off its perch!I wouldve liked to have given five stars based on inventory and quality of crafting products. On the other hand, I almost wish I could give 3 1/2 stars, because of the cramped and narrow walking/maneuvering spaces; it creates a disorienting shopping experience where you find yourself backing up and turning around instead of seamlessly walking through each isle.

I came in 15 mins before closing, I was met with a rude Were closing in a few minutes and was told that I could not buy any fabric because the cutting counter was closed...I told them I should be able to buy what I came for at 8:45pm but after a short debate with another staff member from across the room while I was waiting to cut I left, I dont need to beg a fabric store to buy fabric. I was basically chased out of the store because the manager wanted to go home a few minutes early I guess. Really bad customer service, and this isnt the first time Im experiencing attitudes and rudeness from a manager at Jo-Anns! Furthermore It isnt the first time Jo-Anns closed before their posted closing time.

The fabric counter people are very polite and great on service. They have a lot of different types of fabrics to choose from at decent prices.

Had what I needed

The worst costumer service store I have been. I bought 1 yard wide fabric, but they cut into wrong size. After I come back ask for exchange within a month. Their attitude are bad and wasted me for around half an hour to exchange this. At first they want me to return the previous one with the cheap price and ask me to pay high on this new one. I wont come again.

The fabric looks like its 20 years old! There is nothing new or trendy in the fabrics in this store. They need to do a clearance of all fabrics and buy todays prints and colors.
