One of the many reasons i hate home depot nobody is ever in there department and if someone is in a department they arent part of that dept they just point at someone who is halfway down the store. They dont call or even attempt to find someone to help me out . 6 Merchandisers had me chase down the guy in an apron to help me with a tool that was next to them.

Convenient. Close to home and they have a lot of stuff. Only problem is finding someone in the department your in if you have a question. And most of the time the person you do find after walking all around the store either says its not my department or they know less than you do.

They dont even know when the Milwaukee Rep guy comes in. They say that its because its part of a IT Dept? Buy shouldnt you know whats happening in your own store or dept? Pathetic! Home Depot is giving more reasons to shop at other businesses for my Milwaukee tools. And I do tell my family and friends that buy Milwaukee tools not to waste there time at Home Depot.

Why this Home Depot parking lots is so dark? Some aisle also looks dark we talk to staff he also mentioned. Hope somebody need to fixes the problems. Staff are very friendly very helpful.

The store was neat and had what I was looking for. If you’re already looking for Christmas they have that too, get it now before its gone.

Big box stores, giant corporations, they are hard to get that hometown feel from. However, this location has a great mix of locals working there. Conscious young people, knowledgeable crew of retired tradesman giving you good suggestions. I love shopping local, supporting small business. I support this location because I want this store to be the best performer so these good local people have jobs indefinitely. .

It wasnt too bad but the place was really messy. Signs were just falling off in some Aisles and the garden center was a wreck. Most of the plants looked like they were already dying. They really need to take better care of their products

Always a quick and efficient experience! Knowledgeable staff makes it easy to get what you need and go about your day. Being a contractor this is very important to me and my staff.

Clean and the staff is friendly. The store itself is fairly large and the garden section is fairly good. Sometimes the items I am going to get are out of stock but overall a good place to pick stuff up.

Wow what a difference from Wappingers to Poughkeepsie. This store has some help that know where everything is.

Dave in electrical helped me on April 10th 2021 for about an hour. I had many questions and he had many answers and solutions. Dave gets 5 stars!The store on the other hand, would get 2 stars but because of Dave, Im going with 4 stars. Ive been to the store many times in the last few weeks, personal and for work. Ive asked for help many times to move pallets from under a shelf so I dont have to bend weirdly and hurt my back. Luckily I didnt but no one came either. I even had employees come and ask me questions while Im lifting then offer to get help and no one comes.Anyways sometimes its hit or miss, sometimes you get great employees like Dave from electrical and sometimes your S.O.L...

After regularly shopping at the Fishkill location, I came here because they had a specific item in stock. It’s surprising what I became accustomed to at the Fishkill location. I was asked by several employees if I needed help, wasn’t rushed away and I was given solid advice. The customer service is top notch, store is super clean, aisles are clear and most of all employees seem content at their job. I would say management and employees are doing a fantastic job at this location.As for Fishkill, they are missing everything and more from the aforementioned. If the Poughkeepsie location wasn’t 25 minutes away, I’d be there all the time.

Went to the “other” store and was not satisfied. Came to HD and Kim help us immediately. We wanted some new tiles done in bathroom. She set us up right away.

Steve, a store employee, saw my friend and I looking at shades and blinds for awhile and came over and asked us if we needed help. He was very happy to help us. First time ever in my experience of going to Home Depot that an employee has ever came up to me asking if I needed help. I am usually running around the store looking for help. What also usually happens is when I find someone they either say its not their department or they are on their way on break. This has happened to me in 5 different Home Depots. Once you find someone to actually help you some of the time they actually do help you.

Ive been going here more recently. Every time I come here I need a handful of God knows what. They always seem to have it. I never had to wait too long for a register which is a big deal for me. Staff are nice, store is clean, and stocked. Will be returning.

Very good home improvement store. Great gardening section with amazing plants very nice lumber quality in the lumber section. Appliances section is kinda poor but not all bad. Can be kind of hard to find what your looking for at times for example extension cords were not in electrical for some reason. Friendly staff that actually know what there talking about. Asked an employee for a very specific item and they new exactly what I was looking for.

Most of the people who work at this Home Depot are awesome, they are always willing to help find what you need, be it in english or not. And if they are not directly able to help they know where or who to get the information to better be able to help you find what you need or come up with a solution that fits your needs. Even with the damn shortages of certain products due to a certain countrys govt covering up so the world didnt have a chance to prepare for it. The folks at Home Depot have repeatedly gone above and beyond to help where it is at all possible.

People here are helpful the store is a mess clutter everywhere, not enough associates on the floor help I got was from the cashier, stalk isn’t anywhere that it’s supposed to be, the aisles are crowded no space to turn anywhere just a mess but again the people I encountered were great just a shame that you’re frustrations are around these great people

Was good had keys made found staff quickly. In and out less than 15 mimutes once home checked keys they worked great. They have a new machine reads your key tells them what type and blank to use they remove yours, put in a blank and machine cuts it

I wasnt familiar with the store as I recently moved to the area from Texas. Dan who works in plumbing helped me with my tub faucet issue and then showed me where to find the plexiglass and a vent hose and several other items on my list. He was so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful! Great customer service. Thank you Dan.

Decent store. Was always well stocked before the pandemic, but store is a little bare on some shelves. Cashiers are always friendly. There buy online pick up in store option takes a lot longer now as well. I had to cancel an order and just go in and get it myself a few weeks ago.

I have been pleased with their customer service and the curbside pickup experience. Although some things are still in short supply everything that is available seems well organized, so kudos to the employees!

Thieves. They stole from me. Twice. They charged me for two items I never received.

Their prices were to high, local lumber co are very competitive, with better quality products.

The best place to shop for doing it yourself.Personal gratification, and job well done.

Groups of Orange aprons standing around bs’n with one another or doing a nothing a lot of the time, never around when assistance is needed, management seems to be concerned bout the wrong things...takes forever to ring up a product with no bar code even though I, the customer escorted them to the location of said product. Instead of correcting the error they have the cashiers (who know next to nothing about the products sold) endlessly call the department where the objects located never reaching them. It’s exhausting trying to shop for anything here

A Home Depot is a Home Depot as far as what you need. The staff on the other hand can vary. Jason, Jerry and Dave were all super helpful and with my Mom with regards to carpet selection, install dates, what to select and the best way to do what she wanted to do with carpet at her new place. I will update this further one installed but the managerial staff and the guys in charge of the carpet department were knowledgeable, friendly and great at what they did. Thank you to all of them!

I always come here and usually its ok and without incident but on the rare occasions where I do have a problem....this is very aggravating because it takes forever and sometimes you have to search for someone to help you!

The store itself is fine, but what I really don’t appreciate is walking in and seeing about 15 people right off the bat not wearing masks. Customers & employees. I have personally seen staff at Lowe’s kick someone out for not wearing a mask. I get it, you don’t care if you get sick, but maybe the staff at Home Depot should show a little bit more professionalism instead of standing in the middle of the aisle having conversations without masks on. Pretty selfish and pathetic. Probably going to Lowe’s from now on. This really made my stomach turn.

It has been a while since I went to the Home Depot. A few poor customer service experiences led me to competitors like Lowes or Ace Hardware. However, that was years ago, and at a different location, so I decided on the spur of the momentto place my curbside to go order from the Home Depot rather than Lowes. It was a very pleasant experience, and I will now be shopping at the Poughkeepsie Home Depot more often in future.

Every real man’s favorite place to go when you have a project to do. I highly recommend asking their knowledgeable staff if you uncertain about things. You can also look at their useful app to find out a lot about sales and special promos. This store is also easy to find things while using the app because it tells you where things are!

Poughkeepsie store - Poor customer affinity. I’ve been to this store 3 times, each time disappointed with customer service. Employees walk by you when your clearly are looking to ask a question. Tell you they will come back and don’t or direct you where you could possibly find someone to help rather than own the situation and help you. Tonight I was looking for lumber where I found it the previous visit, different lumber old price tag; the app showed plenty of inventory. Not a soul in sight that wanted to help. Everyone wants to get paid, no one wants to work.I’ll stick to the Wappinger Store.

I dont hate the store it is the one place I can be sure to get everything done.

The only issue I have with all Home Depots is their staff. They seem to disappear when you need to ask a question. Theyre friendly people but they need to make themselves more available and cater to customers.

Home Depot Poughkeepsie is absolutely the worst store to order stuff from or get any type of customer service. Employees are never helpful or you can rarely find someone to help you .

Usually have what I need when I need it. Can be a bit challenging finding a salesperson to help. Staff and workers have always been respectful. Prices are ok but some things can be overpriced when compared to other local shops.

Paid my bill and said hello to a few of my favorite employees. Store smelled good from those cinnamon scented pine cones by the door. My kids call it daddys favorite store and dont enjoy being there as much as I do, except for when the Halloween and Christmas decorations go up on display! Now I wouldnt say that its my favorite store... but its definitely up there. Plentiful and convenient hours, reasonable prices and just about everything that you might need under one big orange roof! Employees are helpful, although often youve got to look around a bit to find one if you have a question. Having said that... once you find one theyre always happy to help. As a frequent patron, to me, it seems that the companys decided to cut back a bit on dedicated aisle pros and perhaps have one or two people cover multiple areas throughout the store.. booo! Now you can definitely get in and out of other hardware stores more quickly but sometimes its just easier to pop into Home Depot, proximity perhaps... :-)
