Best UPS Store around: I don’t know what is wrong with some of these “customers”. No… tape is not free just as shipping, boxes, copying are not free either. You are going into a business, a RETAIL business. A locally owned franchise of not UPS or Amazon. Why should a small business cover the cost of your shipping supplies?! Amazon clearly states to have your package READY at drop off… yes this means sealed. So the store charges you a dollar to tape it up. Do you let people take gum from the grocery store? But it’s only .88 and they should just give it to me because I bought all this other food. Come on. Then to the woman exhausted about the notary situation… are you a notary? Did you know that a notary is not just verifying your signature? That they need to understand what they’re signing? That the county you’re signing in is what is supposed to be on the paper. Yes that is in the notary training. Did you know that a notary is personally liable if they sign something they shouldn’t or make an honest mistake. So excuse the notary for taking his time to do it right. He could have just refused it after you questioning him. That is what I would have done (and yes I’m a notary). Sorry for the rant but I can’t stand all these whiny babies going online bashing small businesses for doing their jobs. Thank you ups store for the job you do for the community. Ignore the haters.
Painfully unhelpful and a very apparent sense of greed. Charged for a 5’’ piece of tape to keep the box shut. Pottstown Giant is a dump and this UPS Store is a perfect reflection of that.
Went here to ask about getting a personal mailbox. They asked me more than 15 stupid questions, i answered all the questions, i give them my id, driving license, my old address, my new address and they want to give them my bank account and router number I don’t know why they want my bank information I didn’t asked them to buy a house it’s just personal mailbox and they still didnt get it right! Spoke with the manager and he gave me the run around! They have the worse service and customer service !!
My review is being suppressed. I can only see it when I log into my Google account. Im attempting to repost.Went in to get something notarized yesterday (2 weeks ago).The purpose of a notary is to swear that the person signing the form is who they are presenting themselves to be. They are affirming that the person signing has presented sufficient identification and are, in fact, the person signing. The notary is a sworn witness.My form identified myself by name and address and listed the county of PA that Im from. It said that I, myself, am authorizing another company to do whatever for me.The notary tried to tell me that he had to change MY county of residence to Chester county because thats where the notarization is being done. I was flabbergasted.We went back and forth about this. He admitted that his seal identifies which county hes registered in as a notary. I offered the example that if I was a resident of another state, it wouldnt make sense that I would have to change my paperwork to say that Im from Chester County PA in order for him to notarize my form. He disagreed.He continually interrupted me when I was trying to communicate with him. I had to ask him multiple times to allow me to explain my understanding of notarization and what my form is actually saying in regards to the county.I would have left and gone elsewhere but I had already placed my signature on the forms AFTER he had read through all of them. He didnt tell me he had to cross my county of residence out and put his in until AFTER I signed. If I had taken it to another place at that point they wouldnt be able to swear and affirm that I was the person signing. I was very frustrated.I suppose at some point he understood what I was saying and said he would just list his county in the space where he was placing his stamp and signature. This was after about 10 minutes of back and forth. I was embarrassed and confused.He then told me I had to fill in some other things on the form. I was hesitant to do so because of what had just transpired and I was refinancing my car note. I would have had to have new paperwork sent to me in order to complete the process if this was done incorrectly. My loan officer said I couldnt change anything on the form. I was able to understand what he was asking for me to fill in (the date, address, and phone number) and was finally able to get my forms notarized.He tried to make small talk with me after it was all over and while he was ringing me up but by that time I was exhausted and didnt feel like engaging._____Additionally, I took an Amazon return package to them the day before. I have been tracking the package. It still has not been mailed. It only says the label has been created. Hopefully this is because they only send mail out on certain days. I dont know.
I do several package returns from Amazon. Usually, credits show on my account by the time I reach my car. At this store, 2 weeks go by without my credit. When I asked the owner he shrugged his shoulders and said, “Amazon insurance will cover it.” I believe he keeps the packages because insurance will cover it!!This store is morally corrupt and charges a ton for boxes and an inch of tape. Despicable owner who is cavalier about his customers. GO SOMEPLACE ELSE.
Great tape and best ups store around
Went to do a return, gave me ups rates, asked for something cheaper, did not offer usps rates. Very disappointed having to spend ups rates that were as much as the material being returned
Charged me $1 for a 1x1 piece of tape to shut an Amazon return that had free returns and packing... the owner like man said well Amazon only pays us $1 per package. If he were smart, he would capitalize on that and make it easier to return Amazon products than it is at Kohls. He doesnt and I will NEVER be returning to his location to give him $1 prr Amazon return. Ill be sure to go to Kohls where I can bring all my items without boxes or tape and its completely free as Amazon advertises. This place is a joke. Go somewhere else if you can!The cashier was kind and I could tell she was embarassed by all the dumb charges she has to tell customers to pay for... like $1 for a teeny tiny piece of tape.
Poor service!! I called before I visited to ask about notary service, when I arrived the person waiting on us was the notary, I had several documents I needed notarized, mind you a notary just verifies it is the person signing the document is the actual person, I had a form in portuguese for a release, the person said to either have a English version or she didnt feel comfortable notorizing it, I said they need a portuguese form and her notorizing the form was only to verify my signature.She would not notorize and I left, and got it done at another UPS store down the road, I see why they have an accumulated 2 star rating
Over the years we’ve questioned the cost of some of their services. Today tipped the scales. I had an amazon return that had arrived to me with just a label. But the attendant explained that he could not take it unless it was boxed. That box and pack would cost over $30!I went to kohl’s and returned it as amazon intended...for free!!
WORST UPS store EVER. I went to use the copier and it is NOWHERE near 6 from anything. The staff totally ignore you. Went to Staples instead. Would NOT recommend.

I thought the staff was very nice and professional. That being said I had them pack and ship 3 small to medium size boxes. It was $175. Next time I will buy my own boxes and go to the post office. I only have my self to blame on this one😀. But again. They were very nice. They like my money. But so do I. It was way to expensive.

Love these people. They do the job well, and usually with a smile. And when they arent smiling, its because they are underwater with work to do. I make a point of being extra fast and happy in those times.I used to manage a shipping warehouse and COMPLETELY understand the trials of packing and shipping. Tough job, often thankless, and often blamed for things out of your control.They do one thing really well, and thats pack and ship. Everything else is a bonus if they can be of service for you, but packing and shipping is their thing.I have been using these guys for 9 years now, and have NEVER had a problem. Both professionally and personally.Notice that the negative reviews are all from people who asked for something they dont do, or was not their core job.But, If you want packing and shipping, this is the place.
You have to be kidding me with this place. If being unhelpful was a form of currency - they would be drowning in wealth. Bottom line is you feel like you are pestering them when asking basic questions. I asked the rep if she could look up if my package had insurance and the lady said no very impatiently. I then asked if I get billed when I generate the label or when it ships. Again - couldnt help me. If you cannot access information about a UPS package at a UPS store - what is the point of you? Ah, I forgot, you must exist to charge me $3 for a slice of tape. I then told her the package value after which she refused to accept as it is over a certain value threshold. So where was this helpful advice on the UPS site when directing me to go to the UPS store to drop the shipment off? Answer: nowhere. This isnt my first awkward dance with this place - it is always an unpleasant/unfriendly encounter even for shipments that are accepted. Consistently poor which -- Alleluia! --leads me to exiting UPS forever!
Very disappointed and will never use them again. I have always felt they were helpful but after this experience they lost a customer. They lost a few actually because Ive spread the word and will continue. I had to ship a small package to Minnesota. They charged me $104.00. When my sister received the package two days later, she noticed its postage stamp said $52.00, knowing what I told her I paid, she was concerned because my siblings sent the same package and only paid $52.00. I went back with my receipt and the picture my sister took of the box and told the guy that I think I may have been overcharged. He said that is the postal cost, they have a markup, as that is how they make their money. I told him I understood but that is a huge mark up. His response, everyone has a markup ours is 35 to 48%. I said, thats fine but this is 100%. Its double. He stated again that it was correct and told me I was charged 48%. I questioned it again and told him it is 100%. He became frustrated and told me, Well, some can be more and thats how its is. Almost every seller does it. First he stated a percentage and then he changed it to basically, we will charge what we want. I questioned how they determined if the markup on something is 35% or 48%. He just told me, some things cost more. No justification of the price increase. I brought my own box and bubble wrap, so I guess putting tape on the box and a stamp justified an additional $52.00. Quite a hike! I feel very taken advantage of and will be spreading the word. Not to mention, it took over an hour for them to mail this package and I was very patient in waiting. When I stated I was very disappointed and would not be bringing my business back, he replied, Okay, thats fine. Poor people skills. They may have gotten more money from me but they lost a quite a few customers in the process. Hope it was worth the $28.00 I felt I should have been credited to keep me as a happy customer.
I booked a Notary appointment online on UPS website at 10:00 am. Notary wasnt here when I arrived. I said i have an appointment, they have no clue about online appointments. I was told the notary would arrive at 12:00 pm. I went home, waited 2 hours and came back to the store at 12:30. I was told the notary is still not here and he will arrive in 20 mins. Its 12:48 and i am waiting here still. Freaking ridiculous
There was a woman working there juggling 4 customers at once and she’s the real MVP. The people who work here are good people. Go easy on them.

On August 9 I logged onto the UPS stores website to place an order for 100 copies of a colored flyer. I was told this flyer would be available by noon . I arrived at the store at approximately 12:10 PM and was met with a line of people and only one person at the counter. By 1245 I was finally waited on and was told oh no we dont have those ready. In the meantime the lady started laughing and said she would call her boss but couldnt get a hold of him and there was nothing she could do about it. By approximately 1 oclock the owner of the store was finally reached and none of them can figure out how to use the printer. By this time another young employee showed up to work. She then spoke to the owner and was able to get the job printed. Needless to say I had waited well over an hour and asked if I could have a discount and I was met with a very stern look of arrogance and the young girl at the counter said no you were not getting a discount and handed me the bag of fliers . When I went to my car and open the bag I realize the receipt was not in there. I went back into the store and said the receipt was not in the bag could I please have a copy and both employees had nothing but an attitude for me and told me go check my email it would be there. I told him I never received any confirmation from the system at all at any time and never received a copy of the receipt and they said there was nothing that they could do about it that was through UPS and they are not UPS employees and to just take my fliers. I have never ever been met with such disrespect from two employees at the store and their owner who obviously has no idea how to run a business. I let them both know that I am the owner of a business and that of my employees treated me the way that they were treating me they would be fired and I was met with out thats why we dont work for you. How can these two smart ass women have jobs in a customer service role and be treating people this way? I was charged $45-$47 but Im still unsure because I need to get a hold of my credit card company due to the fact that I have no receipt. All of that and to be waiting more than an hour and a half to receive copies that were supposed to have been done at a specific time and then be met with an attitude from hell from both people that work there. I suggest that the owner Mark do something about this store because let me tell you I will let everyone know in this area not to frequent your facility it is a disgrace. Your employees should be ashamed of themselves.

Quakertown Store is exceptional
Buyer beware!! Dropped off two USPS packages since I was told that they could accept them. Even was charged for the service. Unfortunately the tracking numbers from the Post Office are not showing up in the Post Office system and the store does not keep a record of accepting the packages (which should have been explained). No apologies from the person I spoke to other than the packages still might get there. Now I am out $200 in returned merchandise. UPS stores may be good in terms of shipping UPS packages but I will never use them for any other services they say they offer.
Ive never been in here without a hassle. They had no clue when a notary would be in- how do you not know when a person is arriving at your place of business? Nonsense
Refused to notarize a signature on a car title. Didnt need to transfer to title or tags so needed nothing with penndot. Just needed the signature notorized so I could scrap the car and not have to take off work to do it during the week. Was so nice to find somewhere open on a sunday only to have my time wasted.

Do not use them. These stores are franchisee of UPS. You will get overcharged. They sell you commercial rates to send a package to a business.Get get a account on UPS.com or find a staples with shipping.

This UPS store sucks. The one woman working is always frazzled and acts like youre burdening her whenever you have questions in regards to something. Then they CONSTANTLY make up weird policies and fees for things that dont exist? Ive dropped off plenty of packages in the past charge free... now when I drop them off they try and charge me service fees when the shipping and everything has been paid for. They even charged me $1.00 for ONE STRIP of packing tape... its a joke... avoid this UPS at all costs. Save your time and go to the one in limerick, they dont play games.
Supposed to open at 11am on Sundays, here I am at 11:40am looking at a closed store. I guess employees here dont have alarm clocks.
Was barely a minute past 4pm, as I walked up to the door the guy locks the door then tells me to come back during business hours. I see customer service is not their expertise.
