I was shopping for computers while my mother picked out a smartphone case. Staff were friendly, answered a couple questions, and then let me browse. Best Buy has gotten better builds lately, as it seemed like they used to never even have anything with i7 (at least at my local store). Regardless, they have a pretty good selection of everything (TV, computer, games, phones, drones, etc.) and I appreciate the people working there. Will certainly return, though I didnt make a purchase this go-around.
I bought a laptop from here years ago and that was fine. Me and my husband were there about a week ago looking for a digital antenna. We couldnt find any worthwhile. I cant believe they sell those worthless antennas that you plug into your television. They know they dont work.
This Best Buy has nice displays set up in kiosk like departments. Staff is willing to help and will often check in to see if you have any needs. I was hoping to buy a Chromebook I saw online but they didnt have any more of the model I wanted in stock. The sales associate looked up nearby locations where they had it in stock and offered to order it for me if I wanted it delivered to their store. He was pleasant and helpful.
Nice store, well kept. Nice workers too. Great place to kill some time in. Lots of things to look at and try. Prices are reasonable, and they often have sales going on.
Was here to buy a cable for an x-ray diffraction gun at my plant that isnt common anymore. Service desk associate Tyler was very helpful, even looked on the site for it. Store was fairly busy for an early Saturday morning. Good prices as well.
I can only speak to the cell phone service desk, however, the service we received was atrocious. The woman helping us was rude, condescending and more interested in her own phone than helping us. We actually walked out, and I am pretty sure shes didnt notice. I sent an email regarding this to the store manager but of course have not heard anything.
I had a horrible experience here the other day. Now I appreciate when employees are polite and attentive. I worked is retail for years and customer service is king. When I walked in I was greeted, when I got to the section I needed I was greeted again. I thought, great! If I have a question, these guys will be available. I found what I was looking for, an NES Classic. I had a question about the item, and there was someone available immediately to answer. Again, fantastic!I made the decision that I would go ahead and buy the Nintendo but I also wanted to browse their movie selection. That’s when the trouble started. I was looking through the movies and I had no less than 4 people come up to me to ask if there was anything I needed. It was getting annoying. Then I notice they keep walking around me. Before I knew it, there was a manager now perched near by not even trying to hide the fact that he was watching me. Again, I’ve worked retail, I know what they were doing. They had me pegged as a thief.I tried to ignore them, but they kept getting closer and would not stop asking if I needed help. It was ridiculous. I get it, you have a high shrink tore, but if you are going to make every person who walks in there feel like a criminal, well then good luck staying open. I decided not to buy the Nintendo from them, I decided not to buy anything from them and just walked out. They followed me to the door!I will never step foot in this Best Buy again.
Ive always like coming to this Best Buy but in recent months Ive had very different experiences at the Pottstown location. You either have employees that are so kind and helpful or Im scouring the entire store trying to find someone to help me and it just seems like they are too busy to be bothered
Excellent Best Buy. Had it not been for one sourpuss, Id have rated it 5 stars. It seems like Best Buy stores are generally well kept and well managed, so customer service is a key differentiator. This store performed well.
Just visited store. Interested in 2 new phones.... possibly a smarty watch. Hardly other customers in the store, but not a single employee came over to help me. Stood infront of the phones for at least 15-20 minutes with employees around me chatting to each other. If the store was busy, I totally would not have minded. No greeting entering or leaving the store also, or else I would have said something right then. Im assuming none wanted to make a sale today. Any other time Ive entered the store, this has not been the case. Staff has always been extremely helpful. . not today.
Whenever I need something for my electronics I come here. Staff are knowledgeable and know what they are talking about. Great place, and great service.
I never have problems when I go to this store. The employees are always willing to help and are knowledgeable about what they are selling. Multiple employees tend to ask if you need help (and even if you deny each time) it is still nice knowing they want to help instead of ignoring you or being difficult to find. They usually have good deals on cell phones and other higher priced items. Also, there bathrooms are generally some of the cleaner ones around which is nice. If you have a problem with an order or a product, they are always more than willing to help solve the issue or give guidance on what to do/other places to go.
I went to Best Buy for film for an on line purchase my wife made. The sales person helped me and based on who would use it earned me of the cost. Offered me an in stock solution and less expensive with more. We purchased and explained to kids after Christmas and they agreed. Returned the 1st option and all are happy. Great job to the young and intelligent salesperson in the back for a job well done along with the friendly cust serv rep for the full refund of option 1. This customer will be back for more purchases and expert advice
Very knowledgeable staff, always willing to help and have great recommendations. This is my store of choice for all my gadgets and toys. My home is outfitted completely with products from Best Buy, elite plus member and proud of it!
A good go-to place for electronics. The helpful staff is always nearby to answer questions. Best Buy has great extended warranties and tech support. I really like ordering online and picking it up in the store - in and out quick.
Staff followed us around like we were about to steal anything. We were being good, just looking at some headphones and they sent 5 different people to go check on us and look at us while we were trying to shop. I worked on retail before and I know how it is. One guy asked us 10 times if we were good and needed anything, I was getting annoyed. I have never experienced this from any other store and I was very disappointed. I hope management fix this because it is not a pleasant experience when the staff assumes you are a thief.
These guys typically always have what I need in stock when I need it. I order over the app and I pick up in-store all the time. This is something I would recommend doing if youd like to collect points for Best Buy. I use my Best Buy card and order online and I get extra points for doing so. This way I get discounts on future items rather quickly. This Delaware locations always has things in stock. You should see their TV selection. If youre looking for cell phones they also have a monster area for that as well.
The only place you can get Lego Dimensions @ a better price than Wal-Mart or Target. Good selection of electronics from headphones to smart phones. Staff is very knowledgeable.
As far as cell phones as concerned, do not buy it from here. There is a Verizon store in the same shopping center. My brother and I walked into this best buy to purchase a new phone because his stopped working. He walked out with a new prepaid device but spent the next 4 hours at the Verizon store (IN THE SAME SHOPPING CENTER) trying to activate it. The rep at best buy told him All you have to do is put your sim card in this phone and it will work. Which turned out to be a lie. The 4 hours mentioned previously was spent talking with the Verizon reps and Verizon Wireless Customer support. Turns out, that is not possible, the prepaid device has to be active on Verizon prepaid for at least 3 months before it can be used on a contract account... TL:DR- just go to the Verizon store and talk to Josh. He is knowledgeable and will go out of his way to make sure you are taken care of, regardless of who your service provider is!
I normally hate going in to Best Buy. Usually when I go into this store the staff ignore me. However, the young man who assisted me today was very kind and helpful. It was a much better experience!
This place is never busy. Therefore every employee and their mothers will ask if you need help. On the flip side, some actually know what theyre talking about and can be helpful.
Unfortunately they are closing the store 😥. If is so sad to see this store go. It was more of a convenience then anything else. Now I will have to either go to Collegeville or Wyomissing
Very impressed with how knowledgeable the team leaders are for the cell phone/computer departments of the Pottstown, PA location. We needed help in both departments & everything was explained very well & in a way we could understand. I will never go anywhere else when in need of a new cell phone.
I have bought many products over the years and the staff has always been knowledgeable enough to answer the hundreds of questions I have. While their instore service is amazing, their automated phone system might just piss you off. Dial 0 for operator doesnt exist and if youre looking to speak with a representative well good luck finding a way out of that automated system. And if you do get through be prepared for a often lengthy wait of 5 to 15 minutes . Nothing like hearing a person pick up to say Hi, welcome to Bestbuy please hold Ill be right with you..

They will try to sell you stuff you definitely do not need. If you are planning on making a big purchase like a TV/computer, take someone who knows a great deal about electronics, otherwise you WILL get ripped off.
Bad. Discontinues item only display model left but would not sell it. I am sure if I go back k in a few days I will find it gone. Some employee will have probably gotten it for next to nothing since it does not show in inventory.

I just spent 30 minutes trying to get a hold of a REAL PERSON to ask a 30 second question!After I figured out the right numbers to push to talk to a real person (when that should just be one of the first options) I spent about 10 minutes on hold so I gave up. Now I live like 10 minutes away from a the Pottstown Best Buy so I could have just went there to ask my 30 second question but I figured they invented phones for people to answer, I guess I was wrong.
Bought a car stereo replacement there with installation. Although they didnt have an installer in duty at the time, they directed me to the next closest store and set up my appointment. Geek Squad are very knowledgeable about their products and are very helpful. They have price matching too which is great.
I dont feel like the staff is as knowledgeable as I would like (I was in the store purchasing a new router and I clearly knew more than the employee even though I dont have a strong technology background). But they have a pretty decent sending of products at market value prices.

Not about the store but their delivery drivesra. Driver backed over Honey bee hives and just says sorry and quickly leaves. Did a lot of damage to one hive and not even able to save it. All of the insides are smashed several bees dead

Still one of the best electronics stores with experienced & trained personnel in the area. When they have sales, they are usually good ones. If a particular clerk cannot help you with a problem, they will go out of their way to find someone who can help you. Best Buy seems to cross train their employees so just about every employee knows a little something about nearly everything!Great store with a large variety of appliances, too.Everyone smiles at you and tries to help exedite your shopping trip, if thats what you need. These employees look happy and say they are!

My boyfriend purchased a small freezer from them. After a short period of time it stopped working. We went in and talked to a salesperson about it. They took us right to customer service. They were very apologetic and rather than fix it they are delivering a new one and picking up the one that is not working.
One of my favorite places to go. Theyve remodeled, and it looks great. Associates are knowledgeable and friendly.

The staff is helpful but there to sell. Theyll con anyone who has limited knowledge on computers or televisions to buy one thats a higher price than what they actually want or really need. Ive bougnt several computers from them both laptop and desktops and of coarse because I mentioned I am an avid gamer, they bring me to the high end Aliens are products twice the price of what I need. I could get one almost 1000$ cheaper with the same or similar graphics card that isnt the most current out and a decent processor. So make sure if youre looking for items like this, you read up or bring someone with you that knows about it.
Employees are always helpful and allow us to check out cell phone cases with assisting customers with trying them on.
No wonder this location is closing. It cant stay busy enough to stay open after charging high prices for every piece of equipment in the store. Outside of emergency needs it wont be missed.
One of the better Best Buys for service. We walked in and had three people ask if we needed help. New concierge service for special projects (eg. Remodeling or new home purchase...hometheater setup) is awesome....a project manager works with you from start to finish.
The sales rep was extremely nice, very professional, they went above and beyond to help we took a neighbor there because his t v gave up the ghost of course it was at least 30 years old (seriously) a old console set it was his first time I think in a store such as best buy so we all HA xxx a good experience thank you

We went to the Pottstown Pa location like we always do and purchased a new refrigerator. It was delivered on time but during the installation the installers broke off 3 of our light switches from the wall. They said “please just sign this paperwork to accept delivery and then call the office and they will take care of the damages.” I did this in good faith and then Best Buy referred us to the installers company called NAL Group and filed a claim. We went through the process as it was explained and then they denied our damages of $138 because we signed the form. As a company you couldn’t operate in bad faith in a worse way. They and their insurance company hid behind the paperwork saying “you signed the paperwork saying there were no damages” it doesn’t matter what our installers said to you about us taking care of your damages. Please don’t make the same mistake I did and accept a handshake and culpability from an installer. Just don’t sign ANYTHING because Best Buy and NAL group will screw you over too. It was only $138 to fix the switches and Best Buy and NAL could have owned up to their installers mistake and that’s all it was. But instead they want their loyal clients to bash them online, that’s better business to them. Keep the $138 and create Ill will with customers. Just a below board way of operating and an admittedly stupid way of doing business. Instead of using the situation to be a hero to the client they want to save the $$ and hope the customer just goes away.Sincerely, Ryan McGoughBestbuy

Store is closing down due to being overcharged on the property taxes. What hasnt been picked and looked through for remaining stock likely will go on clearence so it might be worth a trip over if you want a deal.

Just recently went in for a Nintendo switch- which they had 1 in stock!!! and a laptop. The shopping trip was successful, the staff friendly, informative and above all very patient to my endless questions.
Its still a hands on human experience and sight seen on hand merchandise that is disappering. And it has great customer service.

I bought a lemon of a laptop (open box) with a botched paper trail and wrong/missing hardware from Collegeville location, and Adam fixed it by swapping out the lemon for a comparable, NEW machine for a steep discount, no money out of my pocket. Very happy with Pottstown Geeksquad! What really touched me is how much time they spent with me despite not having an appointment at all, and how much they worked with me even though it was past the return date. I already knew Cody since he helped me buy a few controllers, so he could vouch for me. Give these guys a raise!

Ive had a few experiences where a sales associate was rude to me, granted, the experience was an an anomaly however this sales associate tried to convince me to no end that I was incorrect about what I asking for and what I needed for a computer compnent... despite the fact that Ive been building them as a side hobby for more than seven years. I do still shop there as most employees are kind and knowledgeable.
As always at Best Buy the best and courteous service. I like going there to buy it has a clean bright store and has the products.

Good prices with super knowledgeable and helpful staff who really know how to serve! They also have a rewards system where you can get discounts for purchasing merchandise there and they have a good variety in my opinion.

Terrible store, i buy a printer from them, then they dont even have the ink I need in stock so they say it will be shipped to you tomorrow. The ink cartridge arrives to my home and is damaged and doesnt work, so now I have to run out again at my expense because best buy is to incompintant. BEST BUY YOU SUCK
The staff there is so incompetent. I bought a Samsung Galaxy s7 edge, case, and screen protector online. When I went to pick it up at the store they did not set it up for me like a best buy in reading did for me years ago when I bought a galaxy s4. I kept explaining to them that I was not an existing AT&T customer, that I was a NEW customer, because they kept saying that all I had to do was transfer my old number. They couldnt seem to get this through their heads. Handed me a quick print out on how to set it up, needless to say it did not work!!! I called best buy, they claimed I had to go to AT&T, AT&T said no, best buy should have set it up. Well after back and forth with 2 different AT&T locations, back to best buy, waiting a day while AT&T was down....FINALLY A WONDERFUL REP FROM AT&T set up my phone. Best buy also charged a down payment of almost $300 because my mother was the one that bought it for me as a birthday present and she doesnt have grey credit. Turns out, all of this worked to my benefit because even with the down payment for 30 months I would have had to pay $18.50 a month, but because best buy screwed everything up so bad and AT&T had to serve it up. They took that as complete payment for the phone plus activation. NEVER AGAIN.... then I made the mistake by going there to redeem the $100 gift card I had, because I had no choice because I wasnt going to miss out on it, and no one would help me...the one guy was too busy stuffing his mouth full of food, I had to track someone down and when I had to quick run out to my car for maybe 3o seconds he couldnt even wait for me, and just left the gear fit 2 watch I wanted, with the guy that was originally rude to me. Through my ordeal with the phone, I had several store reps be very nasty to me, even a manager!!! What happened to you BEST BUY??? Maybe its just the Pottstown location, but wow!!!
