2021/3/4 Currently only one customer in the store at a time. Staff all work and create in that one room so they are being safe. Manager came outside checked on me, I told him what I wanted. Manager came back out with my items and receipt. Top notch service and quality items.

Went there on 04/09/21 to get a birthday present for my dad who has been a Customer for 30+ years and nothing more fitting than getting him a few gifts from them for him. I was a fish out of water as I do not ride myself,but felt very comfortable there.Customer service is miles above stellar and the price is on point for quality. Seeing my dads leathers that he bought when I was a teenager(43 now) and the condition they are in due to quality,I have no doubt that the belt I bought for myself (my first Langlitz!) will be the last one I own!In the future any and all leather goods I buy be it personal or a gift will be through them.

I bought my first Langlitz Cascade jacket back in 1996 when Jackie & Dave were running the shop (theyre since retired.) I later bought a Columbia in 2001. Both were top class and I put many miles on them. Hadnt ridden in a few years and both jackets were stolen back in 2017 (plus Ive grown a bit) so I stopped in to check what they had on the racks because I finally got a new bike.Bennie, the general manager, was super friendly and helpful - he explained they didnt have much inventory since being closed to the public because of COVID-19 and let me try on some gloves as well. Went back yesterday to put a deposit on a new jacket (their backlog is currently 9 months; I remember when it was up over two years after articles in The WSJ and People magazine.) Bennie took the time to make some measurements so I could buy another jacket for this riding season. Top notch customer service. Ill be headed back after the summer for measurements and to get some gauntlet gloves made for cooler weather riding; he said theyll pull my records from previous orders to make sure they get a perfect fit.Ignore the very few bad reviews. Some folks arent very bright and/or act like children when theyre unhappy or dont get what they want. One reviewer claimed Bennie was rude over the phone but theres no way I believe that - hes one of the nicest, brightest, most laid-back people youll ever meet. Same for all of the staff - Ive stopped in periodically over the decades and have always been treated well, even when I was just gawking. Theres good reasons theyve been in business since 1947 and have the well-earned reputation of being the best leather shop in the world.

ZERO FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE . I sent a Motorcycle jacket to Langlitz for repairs. They made this jacket in the 70s and it is still in excellent condition but the sleeve zipper broke. I use this jacket at least once a week and keep it clean and coated with Langlitz leather treatment. I asked them to check the jacket over and make any necessary repairs. I got the jacket back after a $175.00 charge for fixing the sleeve zippers but the jacket came back with the elbow pad ripped loose. I called them and sent them pictures . I talked to an angry man named Bennie that said in his words NO WAY WE DID THIS 100 PERCENT NOT 99 PERCENT BUT 100 PERCENT WE DIDNT DO THIS. He then told me he would eat the shipping if I put it in a USPS box for 15 dollars ( I was charged $25.00 by Langlitz for return shipping ) he would throw a check in for 15. I have no idea if he was going to charge me for the repair because I couldnt get a word into his angry rant. IF THIS IS AN EXAMPLE OF THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE YOU DONT WANT TO GO THERE.

I bought a Columbia jacket and I really loved it. Then I lost 75 pounds. They helped me sell that jacket, and then I bought another one. They have gone above and beyond for me. I thought the price was high at first but I have bought 2 of them and couldnt stand to wear anything else.Edit: I went back for the pants. Got a pair of Westerns. They go great with my Columbia jacket. I love suiting up in my Langlitz Leathers and going for a ride. Service is excellent. The fit and quality is the best part.

Dont buy a used Langlitz. I tried on several, and they seemed like they fit. Then I had Benni take measurements, and make me a bespoke Columbia. No other jacket I tried on fits like this jacket. You need a custom made leather jacket.

I only went there to look around. It looked like a real leather shop and there was options to be fitted for leather clothing. They even had goat leather. But everything was really expensive and probly for people who dont mind spending more for what they want.

I hadnt been to the that old store since May 1991, when I picked up my Columbia.It was a great experience to have my own jacket custom made. Since I moved back to Ca. In December of 91 I have yet to return.But when I do its on my list of places to revisit and make another purchase.

Great local company that puts out unparalleled products! Some great leather! Very rich history in Portland! Very cool. They make ladies purses that are super cool also!!!! They always put out scrap bags of leather for aspiring craftsman and hobbyists for like 10$ anything you buy here will last a lifetime!

Loved this place! Lots of history and the gentlemen was more than happy to share it with me. Surprisingly small building though. Had ordered a catalogue some time before going to the store. It came with a little history as well. Had a great time! Recommend stopping by even you dont plan on buying a jacket. You wont regret it.

Got my padded pocket Columbia in 2009! Best leather jacket Ive ever owned! Thick, beautiful heavy leather with heavy duty hardware and bullet-proof construction! They treat you like family!

Excellent service and attention. They make you feel at home. I brought in a pair of chaps to get a zipper slide, they searched for one and put it on. I have been wearing my Langlitz vest for a few months now and am absolutely thrilled with it. Being based in the UK, my order was placed via correspondence. It was a bit nerve-racking in getting the measurements right, but Scott was really helpful in guiding me through the process. It came through really quickly and was pleasantly surprised to find a leather dressing kit had also been included - with its own leather wallet, which is a nice touch. A belated, thank you. Best gift I have given myself in 10 years. The quality of my Crescent jacket- is like no other jacket I own or have owned. The total wait time for my jacket was around 6-8 weeks. Scott was a breeze to work with regarding measurements and expedited my order very fast. The ONLY reason I wouldnt recommend these guys is I dont want anyone else having my coat. Treat yourself and you wont regret it.

Incredibly knowledgeable and happy to share that knowledge. They know how to fit for riding or standing. Months later, I cant stop cuddling my jacket and neither can my friends. Not cheap but worth every penny. Got the last riding jacket Ill need to buy.

While trying to save a couple bucks, I had an exceptionally bad customer experience trying to buy a jacket online from Schott NYC. Ultimately I gave up on that company and decided to poke my head into Langlitz and I have to say, it was the complete opposite experience to what I had to deal with at Schott. Staff was very helpful, friendly, and informative and (this is a big deal to me) not condescending or elitist about my relative lack of knowledge about the jackets.I just put down my deposit on a jacket and I’m very excited about it and I cannot wait to try it on!Excellent buying experience. Would highly recommend this shop!

Scott has been a pleasure to deal with and is always very responsive to my questions. Getting my second jacket order completed now. Highly recommend. They stand by their product 100 percent. There is really no reason not to try them if you are on the fence. I have had numerous leather jackets from vanson, aero leather, johnson leathers and for construction, style, custom fit there is none better imho.

Theyre popular and its reflected in their ever increasing prices. Quality and leather hides are hit or miss. Friendly helpful staff.
