If you love cooking, this shop is a MUST DO in Portland. We randomly stopped in two years ago and were treated to the best customer service ever. We got to try some blends and I was even recommended the perfect cookbook. We went home with a few things but our absolute favorite is the Maple Salmon Rub. I have been loyally ordering this rub online before I can run out for the past two years plus other fun blends to try. Skordos stuff is top notch quality. This is how you do business.

Soooo many delicious smells and flavors. Lovely spice shop from local producers. If visiting Portland, ME and you like to cook please do yourself a favor and stop by to get wowed. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Layout is hassle free, and there is a great assortment, also cooking books and other misc items.

Nicely curated spice store. They carry a large variety of different spices and salts as well as different types of containers. The staff is very friendly and will allow you to taste the spices before buying. Worth a stop when in the neighborhood.

This is a very nice little store that carries all types of spices and recipe books as well as some kitchen tools. The woman working was very nice and really knew her stuff about all the different spices. They even have prepackaged spices to make entire meals we got the rogan josh and cant wait to try it.

The sales clerk was so pleasant and helpful. She was excited about the stores products and made helpful suggestion. A great experience.

I’ve been several times. I’ve gone for myself, for gifts, and every time one of the sisters who owns it gives me the best advice on things to buy and try! The customer service is half the reason I come back over and over, the other being the awesome spices they have! Super unique, really high quality spices that are terrific for trying new foods and cultures. Would recommend to a friend 10 out of 10 times.

Great selections of spices and seasonings. They have everything grouped neatly by region, cooking type, samplers, etc. Its a place to get a fun gift to taste the region. They also sell cookbooks!

Had a wonderful experience learning about and sampling a variety different spices before leaving with a couple four packs. We love cooking at home and can’t wait to try these. The whole staff was super knowledgeable and we learned how all the spices are blended right here in Maine. There’s such a selection and we can’t wait to go back and try some new flavors.

Family owned and operated cooking store experience. Great to be able to come in and not only learn from the knowledgable staff but smell each and every spice! Great place to pick up a gift or two.

This was an excellent spice store. We were allowed to sample some spices on small cracker items. We bought some spices but returned later in the day to purchase a few more items.

A lot of options for spices. I wish there were more samples without having to ask the clerks about each spice
