I purchased the Dutch oven. After the purchase I discovered they are owned by Lodge. Once the order arrived, it was a rough finish and had small craters in the cooking surface. This product is no different than a MUCH cheaper Lodge. The fancy handles do not make up for the price. Not worth it at all. And they are making me pay the return shipping because they do not consider it their problem. The description on the web page is misleading in my opinion. The skillets are a smooth finish and although they say the Dutch Oven is “Stone Tumbled”, it didn’t explain the finish would be as rough as it is. If the finished it like they do the skillets, I’d still have it and would feel it was worth the price. Since the web page is unclear, I feel they should refund the shipping or provide me with a finished piece.
All these reviews saying they’re disappointed that the pans are made by lodge. You reviewers have no idea what that means. Enjoy your ice cold IPA and chill.
Stopped here to pick up some of their skillets and they were closed, Lucky after calling someone opened the door. Super friendly staff but very over priced considering they are owned by a main stream company. Nevertheless good quality productStaff: 4/5 (personal attention but hard to get a hold of)Products: 4/5 (small selection)Health: 5/5 (good for cooking)Facility: 5/5 (facility is clean, from what I can tell)Location: 5/5 (easy to get to)
My family members chipped in on a 10 skillet for me as a subtle suggestion that I start cooking more. I have... and I love using my Finex 10 skillet. Here is why...1. They design and produce their products in the USA (Setting an example for everyone). You pay for what you get and what you get is the absolute best quality.2. Their product endures. I have worked in the restaurant industry for a decade and my 10 Finex skillet is still the heartiest, most dependable piece of cookware I have come across (including what I have seen in professional and industrial kitchens).3. Their design is incredible. This versatility of this product continues to amaze me. We have used it for EVERYTHING. We are going on a long camping this trip this week and are excited to try some recipes on the campfire with our new lid. The pour spout corners and rapidly cooling grip are as effective as they are innovative. The chain link scrubber that came with is awesome as well.4. Their customer service is amazing. I ordered the new lid over the weekend with expedited shipping to ensure that it would arrive prior to our departure for our camping trip. Early Monday morning I received an email from their customer service manager Aaron. He was refunding me a portion of the shipping charge because the regular shipping would arrive on the same day. What company does that? Only a great one like Finex.Thank you Finex. You have made me a lifetime customer.
Decided it was high time for a cast iron skillet and found that this store existed (unbeknownst to us) in our very own hometown. Went there and spent about 45 minutes with Aaron who educated us thoroughly on products, history, care and all things Finex. Yes, these are expensive items but they will last a lifetime with proper care. So well-made and quite artfully designed. Very impressive products and staff!
I recently went to the warwhouse/store in Portland Oregon. I drove a long ways to get there an i was told i could see their warehouse that makes thr pans on thr phone. I was completly dissapointed when i got there that i couldnt see in the warehouse. And couple that with the fact that a guy in the office wouldnt even open the front door to talk to me. He talked to me throug the front door, talking abiut how bad the virus was and if i wanted a pan i could pick it through the front window. I was so PUT OFF BY ALL THIS!! None thr less i spent 400 on two pans and i was BEYOND dissappointed. Their machined surface is nowhere near a match to Smitheys polished surface. I am calling to see if they will give me my money back! First two thing i cooked burnt an stuck like crazy
Aaron was the best host Ive ever had at any company Ive done business with. Really knowledgeable and passionate about the product. Me and the wife are super excited to have our first piece of many of the best cast iron made!
My mom gave a Finex cast iron skillet to us for Christmas one year. After i got the hang of using it, I have enjoyed cooking with my Finex pan and not to mention it is fun to show my friends who enjoy cooking on cast iton. The machined cooking surface heats well. Since I use it more and more, meats, eggs and vegetables no longer stick. Medium temp and lower woke best.
“Made in the USA” outsourcing their lid knobs straight from China. Lodge is manufacturing all product now, nothing made in Portland anymore.
I love everything about these skillets. They cook like a dream, smooth, and built to last MANY lifetimes! I use mine one the open fire, on the smoker, grill and in the kitchen. Finex is doing it right. Bringing back the old school way of doing things; and I love it.
Sorry Le Crueset not sorry. Finex combines innovative functionality stylish design. The 15 lean grill pan is a great starting piece and offered at Williams Sonoma. A+ guys great job on this kitchen staple.
The first thing I fried on the Finex 12 skillet, was an egg, at low heat, with a little butter. It released easily and slid around the surface as if it was on a non-stick. This skillet seems to hold its seasoning better than the popular Lodge cast-iron 12 skillet. The pan is built heavy, has a smooth, polished cooking surface, and shows excellent quality of workmanship. Both the skillet and its heavy, tight-fitting lid, are made with great precision. And I believe this companys whole intention is to leave its mark through the centuries, with very well crafted cookware which is made to last nearly forever. It appears that a Finex skillet can dramatically mitigate the need to hunt for older Wagner and Griswold cast iron goods. It is likely to hold its value, which may even increase as the demand for cast iron cookware continues to rise. We shall definitely see.
Absolutely wonderful experience with everyone involved and got an amazing tour! our guide was an Americorps NCCC alum, so with that kind of employee, you know these people care about the product theyre making and the community they support!!!
When my 12 finex skillet fell off of my stove, the handle snapped right off.. disappointing... but not to worry, I emailed Finex HQ and they responded immediately and sent me a shipping tag to return my skillet for a new one. NO QUESTIONS ASKED! Customer service really took great care of me and for that, theyve gained another returned customer. Hands down best customer service Ive ever dealt with! Thanks Finex!
Excellent skillets Yes, they are heavy, but wonderful to cook with. Ive been pleased with all Ive purchased. Beautiful pans!
I do believe we are seeing a resurgence of American Excellence, not only in the outstanding products being made, but with spot on Customer Service!I just received a Finex 12 inch cast iron pan and lid! Aaron at Finex shipped it out same day to my General Delivery address in Apache Junction AZ and boom, two days later it arrived artfully packaged and in perfect shape. On Thanksgiving Day I received an email alerting me if I bought a pan I’d get a sauce pan free in the bargain.Oh my gosh—- I’d ordered the day before Thanksgiving, so I guess I was out of luck!I contacted Finex and told my story of the premature order.Well guess what? They sent me the sauce pan the same day!!!What a response, so fast, so sensitive, so customer focused. Wonderful! This is an example of what I said in my first sentence.I AM IMPRESSED!Thanks Finex!

Big disappointment with this pan and with the customer service.they simply didn’t get back to me.I can’t honestly say I’d recommend these pans. Everything sticks, I can’t fry fish or eggs in it as they taste awful and have black marks on them.
Pumped! They listened to concerned mamas about the lead handle and offered an alternative, yessss! Thank you Finex!
