Very glad I found this place. Seems to be the only place around that actually repairs the welder itself. Rayce seems to be very good at what he does. I accidentally fried my welder and brought it here for repairs. Rayce said he could get around to it in 1.5 weeks. With all the other machines there before mine I wasn’t holding my breath but sure enough he was on time, replaced the broken component and replaced some consumables and I was out only $278. Great work and fair prices here.

Absolutely love this welding house. Great people, helpful, friendly, and prices compete well with the national chains. Purchased consumables, gas/tanks, etc. and always served well. Highly recommend.

This is the best welding place in the location! Don’t believe me go and c the prices for urself. They got the prices comparable to online prices. Super helpful when u ask them questions. Very friendly. I came in to get the can for argon and my regulator that I had did not fit the can because it was of torch kit which I didn’t know that they don’t interchange between the setups. However he was curious if I had one for my need and I told him no, he went into the back and brought me regulator with a hose for my can for free! Yes it is used but where else would something like that happen? I mean I was surprised! And honestly the gas prices is almost half cheaper if u compare them to “gas and air” everything is dirt cheap in their store. It is family owned but u gotta go and check it out for urself. I would leave a 6 star review if I could. Thanks guys for all the help, prices and service. Guys like u give me hope for the humanity.

Two words- TRAVIS SMITH! This review could have easily been a one star review because we had a nitrogen delivery crisis (wrong nitrogen cylinder was delivered) that would have severely put our small business in a compromised position. And today is a weekend. After a lot of panicking, phone calls and voicemails, Travis was the only one to pick up the phone and assure me that he would get a delivery out within the hour. He is CLUTCH when it comes to customer service and after working with him for the past two years, I prefer to only work through him as he is consistent, honest and always so helpful. Travis, if you ever see this- thank you for everything you do (coming on time, being careful with our doors so it doesnt scratch, lifting our rugs so they dont get shredded when you wheel in the tanks) - we appreciate you and the five star customer service you always provide!

Was not impressed. For starters I wasnt greeted when I walked in. They have some prices on some things and no prices on everything else. When I called them out on them charging me too much ...price on shelf was different...they told me oh thats the old tag and they didnt even honor the price that was marked.All in all I doubt Ill ever visit that Central Welding Supply again. When I walked out of there ..i felt unhappy about my purchase. I.e. Because of things not being marked I ended up being charged the $4 more for a can of map gas and thats in comparison to me go into an Ace Hardware which is normally high-priced. Instead the Central Welding Supply was very high-priced comparatively.

Had the part I needed. They took and placed the order in minutes. I drove over and picked it up. I was done in about an hour. Great job! Excellent Staff! Always helpful.On the other hand I spent an hour on the phone with Airgas, where they could not find it in there system. Then they told me it was no where in town.Well guess what I found the part and a new welding supplier when I found Central Welding. Thank you to the staff. HELPFUL for sure.BONUS OPEN SATURDAY

Seriously, they are ALWAYS super friendly and extremely helpful! They help a novice like me feel comfortable using their equipment, while being efficient and cost effective.

I had an issue with my Miller welder and Central easily diagnosed it over the phone. I brought the welder in and instead of just selling me the part, they installed the new part, tested the welder and showed me what they did to ensure I knew what was wrong. Their tech, Isaac was informative, professional and fixed my welder in a matter of minutes! I highly recommend these guys! WAY beyond normal service!

I didnt think the dudes behind the counter were rude at all, in fact, they were super helpful. Definitely the best set up welding supply in the Portland area: I read about the new Ranger, they had it. I seen a YouTube video on the new Millermatic, there it was on the floor. They didnt have the red Tweco connectors I wanted, but hell, nobody else around here did either. Ill definitely set up an account there.

Excellent service - they made it fast and easy to swap out cylinders and get what I needed. Will be sure and shop local-ish and buy my next welder here this fall!

I brought in a Miller Bobcat 250 for service. They were friendly and answered questions. They were able to work on it and diagnose the problem and give me an estimate of repairs. What I really appreciate about the service is that they are quick and were able to help me on short notice. I will be using them in the future.

Ive been going to the same store for the last 15 years. Yes it changed hands, but central kept the employees. Way better than airgas! Prices are decent and they are centrally located with lots of parts -Tim - owner Alameda Metalworks

Explained my level of experience/project details to the guys working there and they were extremely helpful. They saved me some cash in the process. If I need to upgrade again, I will come back.

Super pricey! Over $55 for 75cf acetylene tank where at Oxarc, $38. Crazy difference!
