Great addition to the St. Johns neighborhood! Cool, little music shop with some neat gear and excellent repair services! Keith got my bass back to better than new playability in a very short time. I’ll be bringing all of my guitars, basses and amps here!

It was a great experience with them. Set my guitar up perfectly for a beginner and made playing guitar a completely different and better hobby. I brought in a rough guitar I got cheap and they reconditioned the electronics and the guitar at a great price. Now I don’t even get to play it because my wife has claimed it as her guitar. Also great communication, good selection of guitars for a small shop and great staff. Overall way better than big box store at better prices.

Have a Sovtek Mig 60 that needed a lot of TLC after over a decade of touring. I seriously hadn’t touched the tubes or had the amp looked at in close to 20 years. After the input jack finally failed me, I dropped it off at 3 Tracks and a week later I had it back sounding and looking better than it has in years. I was recording with it in the studio the day after I picked it up. Very happy I went in this cool store! Will be back.

I bought a 2006 National steel ResoRocket on ebay about a month ago, and while in good shape overall, it had serious need for a setup and I had a question about the neck.  Wanted to be careful about who worked on it, so I started by emailing service at National directly.  I sent them a couple pictures and asked about sending it to them for a setup.  That was about a month ago... and I havent received a response yet.  Very disappointing.  I discovered Keith at 3 Tracks Music while searching online, and Portland is just under 2 hours away, meaning I could easily drop off and pick up.   Found out that not only had he been a luthier at National for 6 or so years, he was the ResoRocket guy, carving and attaching the necks and doing initial setups.  Very knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to share what he knows.  When I first arrived he said he could date my instrument by the type of case it was in.  He looked inside and knew who had signed off on the instrument... he had had the next bench over from Keith for years.  A little over a week later and for a very reasonable charge I picked up an instrument that now plays beautifully!  Cant recommend him and his work any more highly.  If you have a National that needs any kind of work - from setup to major surgery - you should seriously consider being in touch with him.

The coolest little shop in St Johns. I have owned my bass for a while and finally decided to get it set up. Took it to 3 tracks and Keith was super easy to work and communicate with. He did a great job on the set up, even helped me out with a last minute tweak. My Bass feels brand new! Will definitely be back.

3 Tracks is one of the best guitar shops in Portland. Super welcoming staff who are willing to help you with anything you need- repairs, new gear, and countless other services. I have had nothing but great experience with the store and highly recommend supporting this shop and making it your go-to for anything guitar related. Big ups to Keith!

Keith and Sam are the only two peeps I’ve dealt with at 3 Tracks, and both uphold my high expectations of customer service.Sam has taken care of two debilitating issues with my precious amplifier, and both times I’ve been rewarded with his expertise. I’ll only ever recommend him when posed with the question of who fixes amps in town.Keith is friendly, helpful, ready to answer questions or just have a friendly chat about gear, and ready to make a good deal. Prices are relevant and fair.Hit these guys up and they won’t disappoint!

Keith set up a g series Takamine guitar for me that I bought from a local selling site, it was way out of playability, the action was really high, he was able to set it up right. Its definitely a keeper now. This man knows what hes doing. I recommend his Luthier abilities to anyone. Spot on in my book.

Keith and Sam are true professionals! I feel very fortunate to have them in Portland, let alone right down the street. My vintage acoustic is finally sounding the way its supposed and the classical I bought for my wife at 3 Tracks Music is a stunning 45 yr old Sada Yairi model 650. There is only one place to go if you want it done right. See Keith. He KNOWS.Kudos the 3 Tracks. You guys are seriously the best. Thank you!

I am so glad to finally have a local music store in my neighborhood! Keith and the staff at 3 Tracks are top notch. In addition to their nice rotating selection of cool guitars and amps Keith does awesome setup work. I needed a quick adjustment to my guitar as the action was to low and I had a gig the next day. Keith took time out of his day to check it out and gave the truss rod a quick adjustment, and did not even charge me. How nice is that! They also regularly roll the front windows up and have concerts in the shop. Come down to St Johns, check out 3 Tracks Music, and grab a beer across the street at the food cart pod.

Some years ago I sold my guitar, I was never any good at playing anyway and always too busy to take lessons. This last year Ive really wanted to get back into playing. Id been shopping around for a few weeks at various guitar shops in and around Portland. Id visited 3 Tracks once before and on the second visit, today actually had time to sit and talk to Keith about what I was looking for and concerns I had. He took the time to show me a few of the guitars in the collection at the shop and we finally settled on a new Bristol. Before this guitar, I had never heard of them and a lot of people kept saying to go with a Yamaha in the price range I was looking in. I thought the color was beautiful and the sound was rich compared to other guitars I had been playing over the last couple of weeks. I love the way it sounds and Im looking forward to taking lessons and playing again. Im happy to call 3 Tracks Music my local guitar shop and Im glad its just a couple of blocks from my house.

Been in 3 times. First time liked it. 2nd time went in to ask a question that if I would have listed to the person would have wrecked my guitar. 3rd time I took a les paul in for repair and was told they were to busy to assist me. Would not even talk to me.I live close and spend lots of money on music equipment but will not spend it in this establishment.
