This is usually a clean store that isn’t super busy. Sometimes they need more cashiers but I guess that is true of a lot of places right now. I love never knowing what great score I will find.

The cashier was nice, last night, which I really appreciate. But the men closing up outside were just as angry as can be. I didnt even want to go in there to be honest. It was right before closing time. I really do try to hurry, Yet I have to say, i dont think its ok to be so rude to people who are grabbing last min stuff. As long as they make it quick enough, that the employees arent stuck passed time for them to get done; and go home. Otherwise they would have got a 5 for how nice the cashier was this time .

I used to pass a Grocery Outlet 25 years ago and always wondered what kind of person buys groceries from an outlet? The term always reminds me of tired merchandise that never sold, even when greatly discounted. Some of that is true, you have to watch sell by dates and remember what price the items sell for in other stores to determine a good buy from a poor one. However, being able to easily afford to eat lamb chops and grass-fed beef, free-range eggs and organically fed pork, because of Grocery Outlets amazing discount prices, really tells the story.I find the staff is always competent and some are really friendly and helpful, just like every other retail store. Two reasons generally affect the staffs behavior; poor management and locations with lots of entitled customers to deal with. Mercifully, those are not factors at this store.I am incredibly happy to be able to freely shop in June, after endless months of online grocery shopping at higher prices. The only store that I will shop regularly, in person, is this location. The rest will stay online only!

Exactly what you’d expect. Good food, great prices, and you can often find little gems you didn’t know you needed. Their parking lot always has more than enough space as well, which isn’t always easy to find in Portland. While they don’t always have everything on your grocery list, I always go to Grocery Outlet first to chip away at whatever I need.

The cashier was very friendly, as for the manager and a couple of the other employees, very unprofessional and rude. I will not be back to give them my business. Again the lady that was doing what seemed to be everything was absolutely fabulous! They are lucky to have her as an employee.

Prices are so good!!! Love the size of the store. You know how some places can just be soooooo huge and you get lost for hours. Highly recommend this place.

The Sandy Grocery Outlet benefits enormously from having Manny as its GM. Hes great and very customer focused. He is also packed with wine knowledge. Great deals on good bottles.

Love this spot. Never too crowded and the staff is nice. They have a good selection of organic plant starts and garden stuff. They also host a farmers market in their parking lot (the Hollywood farmers market) but I always miss it.

The periodic wine tastings here are a wonderful way to try out their constantly changing selection. If you dont make it to a tasting, keep an eye out for Mannys (the wine section manager) picks of his favorites. I tend to find interesting cheeses and cereal products here as well.

This is the best Grocery Outlet Ive ever been in. Its locally-owned buy a cool guy! He came up to me introduce himself to me as a customer this is something important to me. He also has really good beer and wine they do wine tastings on the weekends. He has a lot of microbrew that are made right here Oregon.

Seems recently anyone who goes to grocery outlet to recycle, is met with the attitude that they have to be homeless and beneath notice. This is a store I have done business at for years, and this is a very sad thing.

Awesome prices and many vegan items. Theres new items every time I visit. Some products are within a few months of the expiration date but the prices cant be beat compared to regular retail. Visits to Grocery Outlet feel like treasure hunts.

Normally I would have given Grocery outlet 5 stars, the place is great. Unfortunately it has to be less because of an employee and customer interaction. While checking out a random employee and another customer refused to move so that I could bag my items, talking the entire time. The customer was pulling her mask away from her face while talking and not moving out of the way to maintain a distance of 6ft. Its very upsetting to think that the employee that was chatting wouldnt be considerate enough to move to allow people to bag their items and leave without being impeded by such a disregard for others safety!

Stopped toget some candy and ended up getting 2 bath towels big soft thick for $3.99ea

Convenient if you live nearby, although most items are overpriced in my opinion you can find bargains in the drink aisle.

I was in the store today and saw many mask-less people (vaccination status was not being checked.) Instead if the employees following the mandate and COVID laws, I then had to speak up. Privilege Alert: I didn’t take this place seriously until a friend told me about it after I turned 50. He said it was a secret.Here’s the deal, you have to go up and down every aisle to get the full experience. And, oh! The deals you can find. I only go in with one thing on my list: wine. And it’s a cheap and TASTY selection. I had to make a rule, no more than one case per visit. But, as for how the rest of my cart fills up when I’m there? $2 bags of chips, $.99 frozen veggies, $.50 boxes of crack and cheese, $3 bags of salad...and occasionally a plant from the racks outside. My balcony is practically overgrown after two+ years shopping there!And dang it, the cashiers are friendly!I love it. But don’t go nuts, ok? I don’t want to have to wait in long lines!

I love this store on days when Im in the mood for something different~ you NEVER know what youre going to find from here at any given time!! If you see something you want, get it then!!! I have driven by this store so many times in the past 10+ years but August 5, 2019 was the first time I went through the front door to have a look around. WOW. First thing you should know is that I checked out the wine and beer selection and was so impressed - look out Trader Joes!This store has wide selection of wines from budget to premium at super low prices. The beer selection was equally amazing. Since I am on a healthy food diet plan and love pasta, I was super impressed with the Delverde Pastas with Chickpeas / Flax Seeds. Whole Organic Spaghetti, Bobs Red Mill Premium Whole Flaxseed and Canadian Whole Grain Quinoa were immediately loaded in my shopping cart. I could kick myself for missing out a decade of fantastic shopping adventures; so I got an extra bottle of wine to reflect on my reticence to enjoy some Bargain Bliss. Highly Recommended .... and dont you make the same shopping mistake I did! ******Ten Stars***** btw - I had the privilege of meeting the store owner - Kelsey McMullin; she is terrific!

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!! This store is NOT reliable but if you keep coming back, you will find treasure for sure. Especially rare item like Momofuku Ssäm Sauce by David Chang $4.86 at Amazon for 1, it was ONLY $4.00 for 2! For 2! Local vegan milk company like Pacific, sometimes they carry for $1.40. You have to pay almost $3.00 at whole foods in same neighborhood. But again, sometimes you can not find what you are looking for. Its outlet! Emplees are super nice and friendly. I like wine tasting too althoug my wine lover friends make fun of me, I dont care. However I don’t buy meat and fish here.

Great place, some of the cheapest groceries around. Ive been to others and this location seemed the most well stocked and best variety (which grocery outlet is not known for), the produce also seemed pretty fresh. This is my new go-to for groceries

Favorite place to shop for yummy vegan treats :) the staff is also so nice and sweet .. they are more down to earth vs the one on Lombard street. Wish it was bigger but other than that there’s no need to complain!

Theyve got a lot of items but not a great selection of anything.

My review is going to focus on the way this grocery outlet has been handling new COVID procedures.Frankly, I’m disappointed. First of all, they used to have directional arrows through the store and they removed them some time ago. This is a smaller store so their aisles are narrow and you can barely get by others. Physical distancing, is frankly not enforced. Second, they don’t have a dedicated line for checkouts, so the front of the store is a bit of an unorganized mess. Third, they don’t personally clean the carts, but rather have one spray bottle and a roll of paper towels that is hit or miss if it’s actually stocked. While I appreciate that they include this, it feels like a bit of an afterthought.Other grocery stores in the area do such a better job, and I have been spending my money mostly elsewhere during the pandemic. I wish more of an effort was made. I used to shop here almost exclusively because of the prices and great items they get, but now I only go for a few select items that I really can’t beat on price elsewhere.

Theres always something good at the Hollywood GO. Great prices on everything, lots of natural and organic stuff, great beer and wine selection. The items change due to availability so you have to try new stuff. I love it.

Considering the neighborhood this is in, I would say this is not one of the best examples of this very good chain. I like Grocery Outlet because their newer stores are great and its always an adventure to find cool items you would never find at your grocery store or wouldnt think to buy otherwise (the cheese selection is fantastic, usually). This particular location is an older one with an odd dark feeling in it - literally the layout is odd and the actual lighting is dark. I do like how the restrooms are public and require no code. There is a tiny pet section compared to other stores...BUT you will find some great prices on some pretty cool stuff.

Also, meat prices and overall quality are good, given theres no butcher counter.5. For those of you who like your beverages with a bit of kick, there are lots of beers, ciders and wines to choose from.So, there ya have it. Just dont go in expecting to find everything a big store has to offer. This is an outlet. Know that going in and youll be a happy camper!

If you be broke.... or just frugal... This is a great place to get affordable groceries. They have name brand and generic brands at deeply discounted prices. Inventory changes frequently so you never know what deals you may come across. There are only a few of them in the city, so I usually go to the one in Hollywood. Easy parking, quick check out and the store is small so its easy to get around and find what you need.

Theres no long line outside the door like at Trader Joes. They often dont have what I need... No frozen spinach, no low fat cottage cheese... So that keeps them from getting 5 stars from me. But otherwise its great I dont have to wait in line.

I love grocery outlet; from all the crazy flavors of many things (cereals, drinks, cream cheese, ice cream, and more), to the large selection of wines, this place has it all, and theyre all at a great price! Ive had two Air BnBs, one nearby and one across the river in the heart of downtown Portland, and I would take a Lyft back with my groceries just to shop here.They have things in bulk and in a small section they have stuff like toys and headphones. I love this place.

This place always has great deals. Its a bargain market which means you never know exactly what they will have in stock, but if your flexible about what you want, youll always find something good. The lines are usually shorter here than Fred Meyers or Safeway, and the store is smaller, which I appreciate.
