Outstanding job by Kurt and Jim setting the posts and Dominic and Richard stretching and finishing the fence. This is the first chain link fence weve had installed so its hard to compare Superior to other companies, but both crews were very nice and the finished product looks perfect. The straight section is about 80 long and it looks like they aligned it with a laser - all posts are perfectly aligned. The two gates operate perfectly. They really did a superior job!

Update: Everything got corrected. Im giving 4 stars because it did take forever for this project but Im happy that it is done and everything got corrected. Update: owner, Greg, has been communicative. Maybe we will have a happy ending!!. Ive been trying to get a fence installed since June. Every week and month, they keep promising to finish the job. Nick and Steve and their broken promises. The first time they said the job was done, the top of the fence was uneven, the lock we asked for wasnt on the gate, and the slats that we asked to be replaced were unfinished. Nick, the guy they say is the owner, will tell me what I want to hear and then not follow through. All we want to do is pay for the rest of the job but Im afraid if we call in that payment that the job will never get done. Im so glad I didnt have them do other properties. I strongly suggest for anyone who doesnt want to be totally stressed out and played with to go somewhere else. Most of my local contractor experiences in Portland have been bad but this is by far the worst contract experience I have ever had in 20 years of owning and managing properties. Ive dealt with contractors in 10 states and 3 countries. This was the worse experience and Ive had some iffy contractors.

Scheduled on a Friday for estimate soonest they could come is Monday at noon. Monday at noon comes along and no one showed up. Called the office they checked in said he was in SE Portland 25 min away? I waited another 40 min still didn’t show up. So I left told my tenant to tell them I left.

Weve contracted Superior Fence for two residential projects. The first was to rebuild our back-yard fence with one man-gate and one large gate that a vehicle could fit through. The caveat is we wanted to reuse as much material from the old fence as possible. We were blown away with how 1) quickly they completed the project and 2) how much of the old material they were able to salvage. It looks great and kept our material costs low. The labor bid was extremely competitive as well. The second project was a 1-2 ft retaining wall with fencing on top. Again, we reused the fence material. Work was completed quickly, competently and at a competitive price! Strong 5-stars.

Homeless people break my fence all the time. So I was looking for better parts to repairing work. I went to the store with all kinds questions. The people working there are so nice. I do not normally write detailed reviews, but this experience I felt was worth sharing. Ive done business with Superior Fence 3 times previously as I have installed my own fences at my residences. I wish I could remember the first sales guy I dealt with, he was amazing and left me with a fantastic impression. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the other people Ive tried to work through there.Called for a quote on a Friday, was asked to e-mail in a parts list. I did at 10am on Friday and explained that we had a 30 day State of Oregon waiver for a home based childcare that we needed to install two additional panels of fence for and had an inspector scheduled in 2 weeks. I needed materials the next week so that I could get the install completed myself on the following weekend.Monday, no quote. I reached out at 3:30 Monday by e-mail again asking for any sort of an update and once again expressed I was on a timeline and I needed raw materials by the weekend.Tuesday I get a voicemail that the sales person needed some clarification. I called back, the sales person was out of the office. I called again in the late afternoon and was told they would have the quote for me first thing in the morning on Wednesday.Wednesday, no quote, Thursday, no quote. Here I am Friday, the day before I need to be starting the install and setting posts and I dont even have a quote.I called Town and Country Fence Thursday around noon, gave them my parts list, had a quote by 2pm. Accepted the quote by 2:30 and will be picking up my materials from them today (Friday), the day after I requested a quote.I think the timeline and the story says it all. Im not here to bash on someone, Im just here to tell a real life experience. Take it for what it is worth, but for someone who has been an multi time repeat customer, it is sad to see someplace lose their drive to serve the customer, especially return ones.Unfortunately, theyve received the last of my money and Ill be moving my current and any of my future business to other vendors.

Their staff is professional and patient, and took the time to answer our questions and help with designing our gate. We recommend and would use Superior Fence again for our needs.

I received bids from several fence companies before deciding on Superior. The price they quoted was slightly higher than most, but after doing a bit of research and seeing their fences around my neighborhood, I felt safe choosing them.The salesman (Chris) that came to my house was pleasant to work with and seemed genuinely concerned that I get the fence I needed. I have two small dogs and the fence needed to contain them, yet look good at the same time. My yard has quite the slope to it so I was worried that a wood fence wouldnt provide adequate security to keep them from getting underneath it.I was assured that this was something they could handle, so I signed up and paid my deposit.I was contacted a few days later by a gentleman named Nick to schedule the installation of my fence. I have some difficult work hours, but he went out of his way to work with me and set up a time that worked for me to be there to confirm that the layout of the fence was correct with the installers.The installers showed up when promised and I went over the job with them briefly, stressing that I needed to contain my small dogs. The foreman (Dominic) seemed incredibly knowledgeable and once again assured me that my needs would be met.The posts were set in one day, and the crew returned four days later to install the fence.I wasnt home to see the installation of the actual fence boards, but when I got home that night I was so impressed! The fence looks amazing and my dogs are contained securely.I would highly recommend Superior fence to family and friends, and I will definitely be using them again should I need more fencing.

About two years ago I gave Superior Fence & Construction a challenging task. I purchased two path gates from Costco that I wanted to combine to a double door gate in my driveway. I called the right folks! The scope of work was complicated and the price was competitive but more importantly the quality of service is why I chose this contractor. A week ago (October 1, 2015) I was contacted by Superior on another quote I had requested for a partial fence installation which was quoted months earlier. During the conversation I mentioned to Greg one of the gates Superior installed over two years ago (custom job for my driveway) the screws had been stripped. Greg immediately sent a gentleman out who repaired the gate at no additional charge. Im extremely satisfied with the good folks at Superior. Responsive and quick to work

I moved into a house a few years ago and one side of my yard is not fenced and opens up to an empty lot. I have been calling around for estimates and every company I call just gives me a rough estimate over the phone and cannot be specific with the costs associated. Superior Fence came out for free and looked at the area I need fenced and gave me a very thorough estimate and answered all my questions. The estimator was extremely helpful, it was easy to schedule my installation and I am now extremely happy with my new cedar privacy fence.

I had some old field fencing that needed removed and the new fence updated to match the fence on the rest of the property. The estimator was very helpful with achieving the end result I indicated. The initial estimate included one new gate and reusing one existing gate. After seeing the new gate, I decided to have them build the other gate as well.The crew came out in the middle of the winter, the fellows were working in cold and wet weather. They were very upbeat, positive attitudes throughout, friendly and professional. There was one terminal post that had shifted and was not perpendicular after the concrete dried. I sent a picture to Superior, they were more than happy to come out and reset the terminal post which included the angled bracing post. Again, despite the weather, the installers were great!!Superior is more than just a name with these folks - it is the way they do business, the quality of the job, the crew that they have.

These guys did an AWESOME job on our fence. They ripped out chain-link and put up a 26 fence with a gate in less than three hours total. Amazing. Price was great too. Staff was incredibly nice and professional - particularly Brandon, Tom and Nick. Weve gotten lots of compliments from neighbors.

This place saved me a bunch of time and money on a gate project that has been causing me frustration at multiple points. We are an out-of-state development/construction companythat had a break-in at one of our job sites, leaving us with numerous breaches in the fencing at ourproperty. Even though they were busy, Greg was helpful and understanding, making sure Superiorresponded to our site within the day. Superior workers provided us with before and after photos,and did a thorough job patching all holes in the fencing. Quality of the work was top-notch. We are mostgrateful for Superiors quick response and professionalism and definitely give them a positive recommendation!

I have built several fences for my rental properties over the past few years. For the most part I purchased most of my materials from Superior. mostly because they are local to SE and I like to keep my money as local as possible. My last experience with Superior turned me off. I came in to pickup a gate frame that took them a week and a half longer to build than they told me it would. I also needed about 40 more fence boards to finish my project. When I asked about the boards I was told that they close in 10 minutes (4:00pm) and that everyone goes home about (3:30pm). Well I took time off of work to make it in before 4 because that is the time that they close. I understand operating hours, but if you are not going to be operating in those hours; maybe change your hours? Long story short the guy helping me seemed rude and didnt provide the customer service I would expect from a company whose prices are as high as they are. For me I am more about quality and service over price. Looking back at my recipes for the past few years I have spent a little over 9k with Superior, but I doubt I will be doing buisness with these guys again.

I searched for a reputable fencing firm and decided that Superior Fence & Construction was a good company. Mark S. helped to estimate a job to reset in concrete a 6-foot-tall steel gate post. This was for a church that does outreach to the homeless and food insecure. After surveying the area for underground utilities, the post was reset. Though the original quote was for the securing post alone, the technician, Dominic, saw that the gate itself was sagging, and reset the support post as well. Not only this, but Superior Fence was more than generous in the final price since it was in support of the mission of the church. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Superior Fence & Construction for the thoroughness and quality of the workmanship. Bravo Superior Fence!

Needed a chain link fence for my basketball court. Superior first of all had the best price in town. I decided to install it myself to save some $$$. Greg and Nick provided me with a CD and a brochure on installing chain link fence. When it came time to install the chain link fence around the posts, I had trouble figuring it all out. I called the company on a Saturday and Nick answered all of the questions I had. Additionally, Nick gave me his cell # to call him if I had any further questions (which I ended up calling). I was able to get the job done and it looks great. Thank you for the quality material and willingness to answer all of my questions.

Our neighbors and us had a joint fence erected between our yards. The crew that built the fence was very efficient and quick. The fence is true and straight and solid. The Sales rep answered all my questions and concerns in a timely manner. The price was competitive with other local wooden fence companies.

This is by far the worst experience Ive had with a contractor.Beginning at the end of May we contacted them to come out and give us a bid. By June 7 we signed a contract with them even though they were going to be slightly more than Ricks, they did promise to have the fence scheduled 4 weeks out - we happily paid them around $3500 as a down payment.June came and went, July came and went, August is almost over and they claim they still dont have the materials to complete the work. The only communication we got was by email where the salesman Morgan - said that they would be out thelast week.It wasnt until we called last Friday to demand to speak to the manager or Morgan, and I got Nick, who told me that he would not be discounting his work because basically he needed to pay the salesmans commission. I cant believe that even came up. I told them that I work for a company that takes responsibility for their rare shortfalls and to make something happen, he declined to take responsibility for the situation blaming his suppliers - unacceptable and not my problem. He ended up scheduling for Wed 8/24The installers came by yesterday 8/24 to remove the old fence and start setting poles. The arrived at 8:30 am and left at 3:15 and left trash in my yard.They said theyd be back by 9:00 am the next day - its now 12:00 and no one is here.I really think theyll never finish the work. I Dont think I have much recourse now, aside from never using them again and letting everyone I know not to either.

Fence improperly installed, in wrong location. Somehow ended up fencing across the middle of the street. Who could make such a mistake?

17 years ago they put a fence up for me. Its still standing and looks good, considering all the abuse weve given it. I had to get some parts and advice and when I went in Mark was super helpful, knowledgeable and spent lots of time helping me even though I was only getting a few dollars worth of parts. I really appreciated it!

I was originally considering a vinyl fence like my neighbors have that was from a “Big Box” store and installing it myself. Superior Fence quoted me a fence that was a little more but they claimed it was better quality and used mechanical fasteners instead of the glued connections found on the pre made fence panels. I had them install it and after 3 years it still looks great. My neighbors fence from “Big Box” is already falling apart at the cheep glued connections. They are a good company to work with and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a quality fence.

I could use every board I bought; not hand picked.Dave Vecchi gave me excellent advice, actually convincing me not to buy more expensive hardware than I wanted, and to keep my project simple. I followed his advice and Im perfectly happy with the results and savings.Everyone else I met at Superior treated me well.

I needed to fence my rather large yard, and a friend recommended Superior. I made an appointment with Morgan for an estimate, and we met a few days later to walk the property, take measurements, and talk about design options.Morgan was wonderful - very friendly, professional, and efficient - and I showed him pictures of some fences that I liked. He wanted to know what I needed from my fence, which might sound odd, but I had two primary concerns: it needed to keep my dogs securely inside the yard, and it needed to keep my highly destructive sheep and goats out. Of course I wanted a beautiful fence, but if it didnt perform these two functions, it would end up being nothing more than yard art.Unfortunately, Morgan had to deliver the bad news that the fences in my photos would not meet my needs, and why. He then proposed several other possibilities, all of which sounded nice as well, and sent me example photos along with the estimate. I finally settled on a design that, while not my original choice, seemed as if it would be quite nice as well. (Note that I dislike traditional wooden privacy fences and chain link, so those options were never considered.)David Seelig was the crew chief who installed my fencing, and he and his co-workers did a FABULOUS job. He had my fence completed much faster than I expected, and on top of that, Im thrilled with how the design turned out. Its really better than what I had originally envisioned - it complements my yard and the house perfectly and will do what I need. I just got a dog, a big dog and needed a 6 fence. Superior Fence installed it in 6 days from the time I got the bid. I am sure if I shopped around I could have gotten a cheaper deal, but these guys did a great job, and adjusted their schedule to accommodate my needs. Their work lives up to their name.

We were really happy with the quality of fencing boards we got for our wood fence rebuild in our backyard. Superior Fence was helpful in helping us select the right boards for our wood fence and getting the supplies together.

You are much better off going to RhinoCrete for a concrete fence, as a contractor using VertiCrete honestly I dont know why VertiCrete recommended them but perhaps it speaks to their standards as well.
