Reached out to Scott (one of the owners) almost a month ago in regards to needing help moving (& disassembling/reassembling) the $10k+ we spent on exercise equipment a few years ago. He asked me to text a video of the route the equipment would be moved out of the house to the truck, which I did. He said he’d get back to me, never did. I followed up with another text the next day…no response! Totally ghosted me. Unfortunately the movers we had where too intimidated to touch the $9k Precor machine so my husband had to disassemble it while the movers took apart the other equipment. Not only was this a huge stressful setback, we had to pay a couple of extra hours for 4 movers, and now all we have is a big pile of parts. There’s no way any of us will be able to put this equipment back together at our new location. This is so frustrating, disappointing and a huge waste of money. They advertise this is a service they offer…apparently if it’s too far to travel (Salem) or they just don’t want to deal with it, that service doesn’t apply to everyone. Beware!

What a great place. I was in the market for a rowing machine. Emailed back and forth a couple of times asking questions . I went in the store today and was met by a helpful knowledgeable employee. Came home with an awesome machine. Buy local and get excellent price and service.

When our 30 plus year-old Precor treadmill finally died, we went back to the company we originally purchased it from, which is now known as Portland Fitness Equipment. Jim and the rest of the staff were very knowledgable and helped us choose an Octane elliptical. Delivery and set-up were accomplished with great skill and care. Our old treadmill was hauled away at the same time, making the process even easier for us. This company is reliable, stands behind the equipment it sells, and even provides repair service. We are thrilled with the service and staff and quality of the equipment that Portland Fitness Equipment provides!

I will only go to Portland Fitness for my home Gym needs. I have been to their shops many times over the years and always receive great information and offers regardless of need. This is a very experienced crew that listens to your needs and pairs those needs with great Fitness solutions.

STAY AWAY!! These guys are dangerous and dishonest. Their driver made a sudden and illegal lane change (crossed a solid white line) and crashed into my car. We exchanged info and the driver apologized for hitting me and we left. Fast forward and the insurance isnt covering my damages because they lied about what happened. Kinda makes you think, if they damage something during delivery, what are the chances they will own up to it? Pretty slim in my opinion considering.
