I am SO disappointed in this business. They are under new management so they only have a 48 hour return policy on their used appliances. Which is NOT NEARLY long enough to know if the appliance works for you. I bought my dryer only months after the policy change and got totally screwed. The installation guys were very nice but they tore the ducting when they installed the dryer and I spent over $40 in parts trying to reduct it properly only to realize it was too large for my space and by that time my warranty was up. I’m furious with the new management and I implore anyone thinking of shopping here to look elsewhere.

Standard sales person Chris Light was all over this process from the very start and it seems that this well managed outfit has empowered the sales person to oversee the entire deal, installation included. We told Chris we wanted a good quality range/oven in something like stainless steel, not too many bells and whistles and the LG 4611 or 4613 (not sure which it is) is just what we asked for and the whole deal was done in a very timely fashion. I give Chris and and ace installers Darryl and Ben Five Stars straight across. Our next project is to replace a marvelous but ancient Whirlpool washing machine we inherited from the former owners of this condo and we will be working with Chris Light and Co. on that as well. Really could not be any happier here.

The sales people are really helpful. They will price match anyone except Costco... and a little hint. You can usually get a better price than the ticket price if you pay CASH.... theyll usually even talk down if you can do 90 days same as Cash. ALWAYS TRY... The worst they can say is no... the best... you get a lower price. 😁

I used the text feature to purchase a fridge, washing machine and dishwasher. The process was very easy and I got exceptional customer service from both Chris and Linda. They made the process easy and put a lot of though and care into helping me. They were fast with ideas and thoughts and I can’t say enough about how impressed I was with them and the entire process. THANK YOU TO CHRIS LIGHT!!!! He took the time to find the exact model I needed for a washing machine, place the order for me, helped me to problem solve about the pedestal height and completely took care of me! Unfortunately, the soonest he could promise delivery was Oct 22 so I shopped around and found a similar (but lesser) machine at Best Buy that they are delivering on Oct 2. I was sad to have to cancel my order with Chris but he was very gracious about it and even helped me when I tried to find info about a pedestal from Standard. He really is THE BEST! I will go to Standard for my next appliance order, I will track Chris down! This is what doing business is all about - kindness, professionalism and graciousness. Thanks Chris!

I bought a dishwasher and after installation there was a leak under my kitchen sink. It seemed likely that they caused it but what shocked me is they refused to send someone out to check. I said if its not your install that caused the leak, I will pay for you to fix it. They refused and said I have to pay another plumber to determine the cause. They do not stand behind their work. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Phillip was our salesman whose pleasant and non aggressive approach was a very smoothe process. We are very happy with their selection of appliances their knowledge and professionalism. Also note that I spoke to Phillip over the phone first and when we were walking around looking, a salesman named Joe came to help us and during the conversation I mentioned speaking with a Phillip over the phone and salesman Joe went and got Phillip and passed us back to Phillip. I was very impressed with that and the patience and knowledge displayed by both. You got our business moving forward. Went to buy a washer and dryer but ended up buying a dishwasher and probably coming back in a month or 2 to purchase a new bed and mattress here. Thank you Standard TV & Appliance.

WRONG SIZE fridge delivered after waiting 4 months to receive!!!!! My husband and I were shopping for a new fridge to complete a kitchen remodel we did and needed specific size as we were limited to what would fit, so we spent months looking at many different stores before finally settling on buying at Standard TV and Appliance on 82nd Ave. We looked and measured on showroom floor before consulting a sales associate for help, thinking that there were more size options available besides what was on the floor. We told the sales associate what our dimensions were to fit our space and he was able to check availability in a counter depth model that would fit in 33 inch opening since we have a small ranch home built in the 60s and refrigerators were smaller back then we new we would have to modify the height of the cabinet which we had done prior to delivery, and the 32 3/4 inch wide counter depth GE slate black fridge would have fit perfect in our kitchen and matched new stove. We did not know when buying the cubic feet we were looking for we were just going by measurements, dimensions, of our space and asked for help on model from associate as to fit our specific requirements. The associate said the model came in a 33inch counter depth size in the GE Slate black! Perfect, so we ordered it knowing it would be 6-8 weeks, this was on October 10th 2020. We finally get an automated call after calling store 3 times in this 4 month period to check status of fridge and the slow downs from COVID and never once receiving a call back from sales associate!!! We finally get a delivery window the day before the big ICE storm of February 2021 hits. So, we rush to empty old fridge as the delivery guys were an hour early. They took old fridge and set new one just inside attached garage entry blocking walk way from kitchen to garage while we replaced and dealt with water line, filter etc. They left and we went to push refrigerator into its hole, AND IT DIDNT FIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My opening with base molding installed is 33 3/4, and the fridge delivered was 35 3/4....... Now I have a fridge sitting in the middle of my already tiny kitchen and blocking a main access form house to attached garage/ laundry room area at the onset of a ice storm/ soon to be power outage!!!! After hours of disbelief and feelings of anger we reluctantly tore apart kitchen by removing base molding and lower cabinet, in our just finished floors, base molding, kitchen cabinet remodel!!!!!! We have called and asked to speak with a manager yet to this day that has yet to happen. My kitchen is still in shambles and no word from Standard TV and Appliance if they will discount us the price difference in fridge size to offset the time and money involved in making this WRONG SIZE fridge fit in my tiny kitchen!! I think a lot of this could have been avoided if on the sales receipt description it would give fridge size in dimensions instead of cubic feet, and if the sales associate would have accurately ordered the correct size fridge that would fit our specific dimensions. Bottom line, DONT TRUST THE ASSOCIATE HAS PLACED TO ORDER CORRECTLY, and double and triple check that what you are ordering/ signing for is the correct dimensions that you need, not the cubic feet number!!

My family has used this appliance business for over 60 years for all of our major appliance needs. I ordered a new GE Washer in late June, but had to wait for the delivery until 9/01/2021 due to the pandemic causing supply/component shortages. Linda at Customer Service was more than helpful to provide reassuring answers to all of my questions regarding the choice of machine for my needs as well as providing periodic updates while I waited for the new machine (thankfully, my old one was still working, but tired). The delivery on 9/01 went so smoothly and the crew was above and beyond in professionalism and care as they had to remove my old washer from the basement before installing the new one. They made sure to answer any of my questions and tested the machine before leaving. I was so impressed with all the top quality treatment I received from everyone and will continue to use this business for any future appliance needs. They are truly the best, even during these difficult times.

A real Human Being answered the phone quickly (no phone tree - no press 1 for... stuff). Cody was helpful, precise, clear, and competent. Within about a minute I ordered the fridge I wanted. Within 5 minutes I had the email confirmations and paid the bill. Delivery (which, as we all know in this time, is tricky) arranged in just a couple days.I have NEVER had better customer service.

I bought a fridge in April that had a faulty ice maker. After 3 service calls and a conversation with the customer sales manager, I was able to get my fridge replaced. Philip DeSemple took time with me and helped me pick out a new fridge. He was great!!!! He even made a phone call so I could get the new fridge in a couple of days instead of waiting weeks. He also gave me a deal on an extended warranty. It was a great customer service experience and reassured me why I chose to but from Standard TV and Appliance. The delivery people are also great! They work for the company. They delivered the new fridge and took out the old one without nicking my walls or doors. They also set everything up and made sure it was working properly before they left. Morrow was my delivery person. At first I was upset about my new fridge not working, but now I am very happy. I am in love with my new fridge. I would highly recommend buying from Standard TV and Appliance.

I can not recommend purchasing from Standard TV and Appliance. My wife and I have used them in the past and had much better experiences so we are very disappointed with their current level of customer service. We purchased two appliances approximately 12 weeks ago. After not hearing from them about 4 weeks ago I started calling to check on ETA. I left 5 different messages for our sales person and never got a return call. 2 weeks ago we were informed they arrived but couldn’t be delivered for two weeks until today. We had purchased the deliver and install package at time of purchase. After telling us they would arrive today between 4-7pm they arrive a couple of hours early and inform us they can’t remove old appliances or install appliances with plumbing connections (hello? Ice and water dispenser in fridges are simple and typical). They then left with the appliances and now we have to reschedule a different crew to do the install. This is ridiculous and shows their complete lack of operational planning. Do not do business with them until they get their service issues straightened out.

Excellent Customer Service! I went to this Standard Tv and Appliance location based on some recommendations and Irina Rodina is a great Rep! She helped us stay within our budgets for our granny unit build and informed of pros/cons for each of our choices. Inventory for the appliances that we wanted were also on order at the time, and she kept us in the loop all way until it was all delivered! I would definitely do business with Irina at Standard TV and Appliance again

Lots of options and it was nice to compare side by side.We went in looking for a fridge, dishwasher, and washer dryer. Ended up we purchased a fridge that took 3 weeks to get delivered even tho it was on the shop floor. There was a missing part and it boiled down to miss communication but nonetheless took 3 weeks and was very frustrating. They ended up gluing the part on and it broke a few months later. Doesn’t impact use of the fridge so I don’t really care but it wasn’t repaired correctly otherwise it wouldn’t have broken.We would have purchase more items but they wouldn’t match Home Depot prices so we went elsewhere. I like supporting local businesses but I can’t afford to pay $200 more on a dishwasher.

I am beginning to feel sorry for this company. They are not at fault for all the supply stream difficulties caused by Covid. They have probably endured a lot of abuse from customers over issues like masks and social distancing. They have no control over the lapses in quality from most manufacturers, nor the extended lead times for delivery. I finally received and had installed my five mid range kitchen appliances; right at $10K. Then the trouble started. Two needed repair from day one. Four months later, still working on it. When they get parts, they somehow lose them. When you manage to talk to somebody, they leave you on hold. When they say they will call back, they dont. I will amend this review, if it lets me, at some point to either thank them for finally coming through, or to relate what steps I have taken. I am a senior who has never considered filing legal action; I am at that point. What started as a joyful project has become an unneeded aggravation.

Could not be easier: our 13 year old dryer quit (not entirely unexpectedly) and thus began the frantic search for a quick replacement. So many appliances have long lead times and we needed something ASAP. In addition, we had constraints on what would work in the space.The Standard TV and Appliance website was easy to maneuver despite the wide selection. The best part was being able to chat by way of text with a sales rep who was familiar with the products. I was able to get my questions answered, select the best option and complete the transaction in about 30 minutes.Meanwhile a competitor has yet to return my call from hours ago....Thank you Standard TV and Appliance!

Do not waste your money on a warranty. I paid hundreds of dollars on a 5 year warranty. I have never used it and now between year 4- 5. I spoke with Alicia. After telling her the washing machine would not unlock with work uniforms in it, she said the soonest a repair worker was avail was in 2 days. I asked if someone could simply stop by to unlock it to remove the work uniforms. She said no and I was lucky to have someone avail so soon, typically it is at least a week out. When I asked if someone could call to walk my husband through it, she said no and if he broke something...we would be responsible for the repair payment. I told her if the uniforms stayed in the washer, they would become ruined and moldy. That would cost hundreds of dollars to replace and most likely a write up. She did not care and suggested I call the manufacture of our washer and dryer to see if they could walk is through it. I told her to pay hundreds of dollars on appliances and a 5 year warranty, people should understand what they are getting when they purchase a warranty. They do not care of your situations. They feel I am lucky to have a repair person come in 2 days? I paid for a repair person when I paid for the warranty. At no time did they say it may be a week, month, or when ever they felt like it. At no time did they say when you are in an emergency situation, they will not help in a timely manner. The warranties are a waste of money. I was also told the repair man would call me between 8-10AM to let me know ehen he could fit me in that day. Do not waste your money on the extra warranty.

Ive bought four items from Standard on four occasions: a refrigerator, a microwave, a laundry drier, and a laundry washer. In all cases, the sales and delivery/set-up were exemplary. The oldest of the items--the fridge--is 16 years old and going strong, and when I buy a new one, Im almost certainly going to buy through standard.One thing I want to add in is that Ive moved out to a rural area, and their delivery service has remained outstanding. They worked with my scheduling particularities, and the people who did the deliveries of the last two items were awesome in the face of a challenging installation. Not only is my house down a long dirt road, but its on a slope, so getting down to the laundry room means going down a bunch of stairs.The delivery guys did it with a smile in no time flat, did a great job, and did it all with masks on for everyones COVID protection. Such a great job that Id like to call them out by name! On the last round, for the washer, it was Kyle and Bryce, and one of them had been on the two-man team for the drier as well. I think it was Kyle, but Im not 100% sure, since I just have the names, and I dont know who came with him on his first visit, but that guy was great, too.Last, but not least, I want to call out their manager for being adjustable: remember that dirt road? When I got the confirmation that the item was going to be on its way, I checked to verify what size truck it was going to be on, because anything over 20 feet was going to be difficult to maneuver, and it turned out that it was supposed to be on a 30 foot truck. Their shorter truck was out for repairs, but the manager--whose name I dont recall--understood that having to wait another week for a delivery of such an essential item wasnt going to work (driving 15 miles each way to hang out in a laundromat during a pandemic), and was able to get a rental together in order to deliver in a way that was on-time, as expected, without destroying my dirt road.Great job, Standard! Looking forward to working with you again!

They advertise will price match. Well, I did just that and got the runaround. on website there is a chat box. I did that with a person regarding a washer & dryer. Found them at Home Depot for $350.00 less. Gave the Standard person the model numbers and prices. They responded with I cant find those. I then sent pics of the items with numbers and HD prices. Standard has the same items online. After about 15 texts back and forth, I quickly realized I was getting nowhere, fast. The person just quit contacting me. Being a small local business owner myself, I wanted to support Standard, rather than a big box store. Bummer!

Wow! We were in the store for 30 minutes and walked the entire store hoping someone would reach out. Nothing. Not even an Acknowledgment that we were there. Several people seemed to proactively ignore us. The funny thing is, we were looking to remodel our entire kitchen. Just looking for the best deal and a little guidance. ZERO anything. Several people looked available. Maybe they were busy, but they were clearly able to at least acknowledge us at least. Many times we couldn’t even locate the price.Pretty disappointed.

When my refrigerator died, I needed to get a. replacement fast. I called 2 of the major boxstores after reviewing their websites. Neither had stock available for same day deliver OR pickup. One of them had a sale model available for deliver April 29!I called Standard and got connected by chat with Linda in Sales. She found what I needed at a great price, warranty included, and got it delivered to me by noon. Excellent service start to finish! The delivery men were prompt and courteous, including taking away my old appliance.A new dishwasher is next and I wont bother with the box stores. Standard knows how to solve problems!I

We just wanted a simple upgrade to our stove. Instead, the delivery guys came, broke the door off our perfectly usable oven and left without installing the new unit a full week ago. Now we have tape holding the door closed, the old unit is sticking out of its original position and the new stove is sitting outside. No one at the company seems to care that they created this situation nor are they willing to rectify it in a timely manner. Absurd.

Standard TV and Appliance is a God Tier company! We needed to buy a refrigerator and get it delivered quickly. We live out in the sticks with a long, narrow and steep driveway. Before I went to Standard TV and Appliance, I bought a Samsung refrigerator from Best Buy, the delivery company could not complete the delivery because of the drive way. So I talked to Lowe’s and bought the same refrigerator, and two days later they too could not deliver it. Neither company attempted the driveway, or took my suggestion use a smaller truck. So as at last I contacted Standard TV and Appliance and explained the situation and sent pictures of the driveway and told them about using a smaller truck. The actually rented a smaller truck just to deliver this to us. That’s pretty exceptional in my opinion. When they arrived, they were incredibly professional and easy to work with. They wore masks the whole time, were friendly and explained everything clearly. The refrigerator was completely set up, including the water line, before they left and it’s perfect. On top of all that, one of my favorite parts about this transaction was how easy it is to contact and talk the staff there. I can use text messages for the whole transaction and even make the purchase via text. This was such an above and beyond experience, I can not imagine going anywhere else ever again. 10/10 Highly recommend Chris Light and the entire Standard TV and Appliance team for their commitment to excellence. They actually do deliver!

Just about the worst customer service youll ever experience will be when you call Standard TV and Appliance for warranty service. It started off bad, and just got worse on the $3,200+ induction range I bought from them. First know this, I live 4 miles from downtown Portland, yet they told me I wasnt in their service territory and handed-off my warranty service call to Hattans Appliance Repair. Then Standard TV basically disavowed any continued responsibility or even interest in my service call outcome. They track nothing, manage nothing, and I guess their interest in the customer is nothing, too. After months of no communication, and Standard not even retaining my basic contact information, I called them to get a progress report. Heres what has caused me to write this review. I encountered the most disingenuous, rude employee at Standard TV youll ever come across. I think her name is Angie or Amber. It definitely started with an A. I told her they handed me off to Happens, Handons, Im not sure of the name because they never left a service ticket or anything with their name on it. She initially claimed ignorance of what company I struggled to identify, in a very passive aggressive manner. Once we established the name was Hattans she then told me they dont work much with them. Not less then a half an hour later I called Hattans to discuss my repair and the very helpful person their listened to my story re: Standard TV with astonishment, and heres why. The person at Hattans told me that this story from Angie was fantastical because just that morning she had already fielded about 25 service call referrals from Standard TV and Appliances. Dont do business with Standard TV because they treat customers with disrespect.

Have purchased 3 full home appliance packages including Washer and Dryer over $30,000 worth of appliances in the last 12-13 years. my salesman Marvin has always been great. That being said I will never purchase anything from ST&A again. When my brand new way overpriced Microwave went out 30 days after moving in to my new home I called ST&A to get a service call in. They then informed me that they did not service my area anymore and that I needed to call The Appliance Hospital to get it repaired. It takes me 30 minutes to drive from my home to the store where I purchased the appliance package, so it would not seem unreasonable that this would be within their service area. It took the Appliance Hospital 4 weeks to get someone to my home, 5 weeks after that they called to let me know my part was in but unfortunately it would be another 6 weeks before one of their techs could get to my home to install it. Update - thank you for your response. My recommendation would be to educate your staff in what providing non-bias customer service looks like. Make every experience memorable and worth praising. You can ‘make it right’ by insuring no other customers feel as I did while visiting your store.Terrible customer service. I walked around the store for over 10 minutes. Not a single one of their 10+ employees acknowledged my presence, too busy helping couples as they walked in while I walked around. I can only assume as a single women, I could not get anyone to recognize I was shopping to buy. I will never shop here again. I already regret an online appliance purchase I made earlier this year. A complete waste of my time. I’m very disappointed I left feeling like my business wasn’t worthy of their time.

I felt this reverse age discrimination here. The first day me and my partner came to look at appliances we brought his parents with us and as soon as we came in the door there were salespeople swarming us asking to help us. We were asked multiple times when we were there that first day. Then, fast forward a week later my partner and I went back again to look at appliances this time just the two of us and we were seemingly invisible to them. Maybe I should have dressed up or carried some expensive purse and they would have offered to help us? I thought of pulling a pretty woman and going in with my purchase from Costco and saying, You work on commission right? Big mistake, Huge!. But how am I gonna carry a washer and dryer in with me like Julia Roberts? Guess Im not but maybe theyll read my review? We got a new fridge also so yeah.

I had a refrigerator fail on a Thursday and needed a replacement in Hood River Valley. There isnt much available stock anywhere, especially HR Valley. Standard helped me find a solid replacement, that they had in stock. I had the replacement delivered the following Tuesday and old unit hauled away. I cant stress enough, if you need an appliance, go with someone who has it IN STOCK. Ive done the weve got it story with major national retailers, pay for a unit, only to be told after paying its going to be 2 months til I see unit. Go with someone you can trust. I can trust the Standard.

BUYER BEWARE!! The service and warranty of their product is abysmal at best. In my 4 personal visits to the store, just to get a part warrantied on my $4,000 refrigerator (because they are not capable of answering a ringing phone), one thing was abundantly clear: this is a dying company. For good reason. When they go out of business, I hope that they dont play the victim card, because it is entirely their fault. The only purpose of this review is to prevent others from being caught in the death throes of Standard TV & Appliance.

I bought a washing machine from Standard. Due to Covid, I waited for delivery 2.5 weeks. When it was delivered, and for the next 4 weeks, it worked roughly 10% of the time. It would not start. At first phone call, the sales person, Katrina wanted to help. She never returned my subsequent call. At first 2 contacts, Dave in service called back but not subsequently. The service tech, Steve, came twice to try to fix. Changed some parts out. Still 10% working. I wanted to return the washer because it didn’t work, but I was met with road blocks. All the while, I’m taking my clothes to a laundry mat. Justin, in customer service, was responsive the first 3 phone call, then he avoided my calls, too.Finally a friend went in person to secure a return number. She, too, was given road blocks, but stayed at the store until she received a return number and scheduled pickup date.I will NEVER shop at Standard again, and I will vocally tell anyone I know shopping products Standard sells to SHOP ANYWHERE BUT NOT AT STANDARD.

Unfortunately when I had a washer and dryer delivered, the installers broke a water line which caused a lot of damage to my home. They did pay for mitigation and restoration and were very proactive about it, hence the three stars, but its six weeks later and I have only now regained full use of my house.One thing that disappointed me is that on the night it happened, they didnt seem to have any urgency about getting a plumber to my house, so I was stuck with no water until I found one myself. This cost me over $2000 in emergency repairs that were not reimbursed.I recognize that accidents happen, and I dont blame the installers, it just seems like there could be better training about what to do if they run into a situation that might become problematic (apparently the line was rusted).

Customer Service has proven to be extremely slow. After waiting on hold for 25-30 minutes each time to reach the service department, I finally was able to order replacement glass for my oven. This was the end of September. It was actually the parts person who helped me to order. The service person was insisting I first needed someone to come out and diagnose (even though I had clear photos and model number). Parts person got the info from the photos. I was told it would be complete by the 10/16 closing of the sale of my home. It is now 11/3 and still no part and ETA. Long wait time if I even attempt to call.Thank you for your reply! Please follow up on Service order8828702 and schedule someone to fix the oven door. I started the process at the end of September. The new owners of my home have already moved in and are waiting for me to fulfill the contract. I have until 11/6. Thank you!

Worst buying experience I have ever gone through. Unfortunately our refrigerator freezer stopped working after only having it for 3 months and it took almost 3 weeks for someone to come look at it then when they were scheduled to come out they called to cancel the appt because they scheduled the wrong worker and wanted to reschedule, so once we made a fuss over it and having to actually show up to the place and demanded that someone come look at it that day they sent someone to look at the refrigerator in which they told us that there was 4 different parts that needed to be replaced. They said they would call us back with what they were going to do. 2 weeks went by and never heard nothing. Apparently they dont return phone calls either! We called numerous times until no call back we had to go down to them in person. I was furious. You cant return a paying customers phone call? So once we found the person working on this he went over what was going on and what we were waiting on and told us they would be in contact (yeah right) 2 1/2 weeks went by again until finally they resolved it and we recieved our new fridge after we had to call them. It gets even better when the new fridge was delivered THE DELIVERY PEOPLE BROKE A PART ON OUR FRIDGE!! Now we have to wait on that to be repaired and wait another 2 months and no returned phones calls, Unbelievable! I will NEVER purchase from this company again and its sad because growing up as a child my family has purchased alot of products from them which is why I decided to go there. But I know the owner has changed since and its definitely not the same.
