An awesome place to shop! This is the way stores used to be before the big-box stores took over. We called their number and an actual human answered on the first ring and actually knew what they were talking about. The prices were as good as anyplace else but you get someone with knowledge of the products that they sell. They have been in business for 41 years and is certainly doing it right. I will certainly return to buy more things from this store since they also sell furniture.

Wonderful customer service. I purchased a Plasma t.v., sound system and tv cabinet from HVL 15 years ago. The tv still works great. Everytime I move, which has been six times, these great guys come out and set everything up for me for a very nominal charge. Im 77 and they really helped me. They even plugged in my recliner without me asking. Id never buy electronics anywhere else. There awesome!!!

FORGET GEEK SQUAD!!! Home Video Library will be our go to place from now on. We needed to mount our 55in television onto our fireplace and Best Buy quoted us a whopping 400$ for the install. A friend from work told me about this place many, many years ago. I tried them when the time came and was very impressed. I had an issue wioth a 3 year old Sony XBR-75X850E continually rebooting and Ryan downloaded the hard boot instructions which I used to reset my Bravia succesfully. I was considering buying a TV from Amazon, but Im glad I decided not to risk it and to go here instead! Sean showed me a couple TVs and answered all my questions and got me up to speed about current technology. I was avoiding coming here because I thought it was going to be too expensive, but the price I paid is actually $60 less than Best Buys price for the same TV. By far the best place to purchase TVs and stereo equipment. They beat literally any price in town and will match any reputable on line price. My wife was even admiring all the great furniture they have in the store. This place has been around awhile and if you haven’t been by in some time I would recommend you stop in and check it out again. I was very surprised at their new furniture as well as outstanding TVs and home theater equipment.

I recently purchased an OLED tv & needed help in setting it up. I called HVL instead of the big box stores technical support. I was given an appointment for the next day. Two gentlemen quickly & efficiently installed & set up the tv, hooked up the wi-fi & generally did in an hour what would have taken me hours to do. Absolutely one of the best speaker shops Ive been to. Incredibly knowledgable staff, friendly and easy to talk to, with lots of understanding of your individual situation and options to fit your needs. Ive been in multiple times, first to demo speakers and next to demo receivers and amplifiers (and try out the awesome recliners) and each time I greatly appreciated the time the employees spent with me and the music that they demoed. Hands down the best place to come if youre in the market for any range of home theater or music listening equipment, and a great place for TVs and chairs as well. I havent even bought anything from them but I always feel incredibly welcomed and respected for showing an interest. Of course its great whenever a transaction goes smoothly, but what about when problems arise? When things dont go as planned, the way a merchant handles a situation can really show you their true colors. I had such an experience with my first purchase from Home Video Library. Due to an issue with a supplier, and through no fault of their own, there was a long delay in getting the items I purchased. As days turned into weeks, HVL kept me informed of what was happening through regular emails and clear communication. They also offered numerous options to make sure I was satisfied. Every step of the way, I felt that they cared about me as a customer and were doing all they could to make things right. In the end, Im much more inclined to bring them my repeat business than I would have been if everything had gone smoothly from the start.

I was in the market for a new CD player since my 25+ yo carver died. Two brands were recommended: Emotiva and Marantz. Home Video Library carried both. I could have gone online but I wanted to shop a local company.After speaking with Ryan, he convinced me to buy the Emotiva ECR-4. I brought the unit home and played acouple of reference pieces. What a marvelous player! Ryan even gave a pricebreak because I was shopping local.The Emotiva is a true audiophile quality unit. It is well built, has easy to read display and Can be used as either a CD player or a transport with digital outputs. I am looking forward to a more in-depth listening session.

BEYOND GREAT!!! We have purchased electronics beds and furniture from Home Video Library. Every possible need has been attended to by a professional and knowledgeable staff especially Sean the owner. We were on a deadline to host family and needed beds and televisions and some furniture. We found it all at Home Video Library. We also developed a warm and friendly relationship with Sean the owner. He suggested that we expand our sound system and was extremity helpful in selecting the perfect Sonos system for us I could not ask for more from a store that truly had our best interests at heart and aways puts the customer FIRST!!!

Wonderful selection of TVs and things related to them - audio, stands, and furniture. They have the TVs being displayed in normal lighting conditions, with typical cable channels playing - excellent for making real world comparisons and choices. Their audio brands are terrific - this is the only store I know of that carries Monitor Audio, Emotiva, and classic Klipsch models like the Heresy and La Scala. Audiophiles take note, this is a great place to find quality gear.

I bought my 60 inch square TV from them in 2000, and although the guy WARNED me that it would probably be too large for my room, I didnt listen.I actually did call back three days later and offered to pay a fee to get the 55 inch. They took care of me then, so i figured they would take good care of me this time, and they did.The first thing I saw when I walked in was the guy that I bought from 10 years ago, who is one of the owners I think, any he actually seemed to recognize me. He was on the phone though, so immediately I was approached by someone else (Sean Donahue) who told me absolutely everything I needed to know.He answered my few technical questions without getting too nerdy, and came up with a deal for delivery, installation, and no interest financing for 36 months, and wasnt at all pushy by trying to close me on the spot.I didnt buy at the moment, but came back almost a month later - December 23rd - and they made me a great deal and then scheduled delivery for 11AM Christmas Eve. I didnt expect or even ask for next day delivery, but they offered it.By about 1pm on Xmas eve, the two helpful guys were in and out, and they hooked up our sound system, and not one, but TWO gaming systems.Awesome prices and service - cant say enough good things...

Recently moved to Portland and needed a TV for my condo. I happened by Home Video Library and went in to browse. Staff was very low-key/no pressure but when I asked they were very knowledgeable. After good questions from them about what my needs were they steered my in the direction of one of the new LG OLED panels and a Sonos sound bar. Later I researched and both products were highly rated and the price i got was way competitive. Watching new 4K Netflix series on my system is incredible. VERY happy with my purchase and my experience here. Plus i got the satisfaction of supporting a family-owned local business. Would highly recommend.

My dad bought his first A/V receiver from HVLE in the early 1990s. Its still working today. Since then our family has purchased multiple TVs and an amazing NHT home theater system Home Video Library Electronics. The sales team does a great job of troubleshooting and the product demos are excellent. Its so rare to have a company maintain their staff like the way HVLE has. I dont bother to shop for electronics anywhere else.

I have picked their brains endless times whether im ready to purchase or not and am always treated like I just made the purchase of a life time.
