Almost everything we tried here was fantastic. Im not vegan but had heard these were some of the best donuts pdx had to offer so I needed to give them a go. Staff was very friendly and price was comparable to similar establishments. I probably wont go out of my way again to go back but if I end up in the neighborhood Id stop by. The cake donut was far too dense, almost inedible but thats my only complaint. French toast donut was life!

The bacon bits made of coconut flake/chips with a tinge of smoked yeasty taste was delicious! Doe Donuts are fabulous!! Fully vegan and by far the best donuts I have ever had. Theres usually a line but it moves quickly and the donuts are more than worth the wait. Also a bit pricey compared to a chain at $2 and up per donut. But these are amazing!! Its a very small shop and parking can be a challenge. You can place a to go order if you know what you want and they will bring it out to you. With so many different options and flavors...you cant go wrong with Doe!

These vegan donuts are delicious! They have a fun variety of flavors (mostly are sweet, Im more of a savory fan...), including some seasonal ones, and they all look so cute. They also carry drip coffee to complete your breakfast. The donuts are definitely on the pricy side and there is often a wait. The store is tiny but there are some tables outside in a lovely courtyard.

Probably best donuts Ive ever had, period (vegan or otherwise). Yeasted, with great texture and flavor on its own, but also with fantastic toppings. Simply amazing! Went here on the recommendation of a friend of a friend who doesnt even live in Portland, who said they are better than Blue Star donuts. What?!?! How could this be??? Ive had vegan donuts before that are dense and dry, but Doe Donuts are indistinguishable from non-vegan donuts. Their Mac & Cheese donut alone has me wanting to go back for more. The flavors are true to their descriptions and are very distinct, though of the 7 donuts I sampled I found the Portland Fog and Tiramisu donuts to be a little bland. Whenever Im on the east side of the river Ill be sure to make a detour to go here! Definitely better than Blue Star 😉

First time trying this little gem & just wow.Doe Donuts does not disappoint. Their donuts, which are basically little pieces of cakey moist heaven with creative, yet super tasty flavors, are absolutely fantastic. The birthday cake donut was a standout & their house made salted caramel milk tasted like pure money. The small shop itself was eclectic yet lowkey with good music (always subjective, but who doesn’t like Frank Ocean?!), friendly staff, fair pricing, & a definite Portland vibe. To make it even better, it’s easy to find off of Sandy Blvd in NE &, in my humble opinion, it’s the perfect example of why you should buy local. What I ate ($37)• savory veggie• birthday cake• tiramisu (x2)• chili lime• french toast• house salted caramel milk• chocolate milk

Vegan donut shop over in Hollywood. Store had a wide selection of unique flavors, with the muddy buddy having a good balance of sweetness and bitterness from the chocolate and a good contrast with the peanut butter drizzle. The marzipan grey salt seasonal cake donut is hands down one of the best donuts I’ve ever had - it’s not too sweet, very well balanced, a nice marzipan flavor. Friendly, fast, and delicious. I would not have known those were vegan organic donuts. The dough was rich and not too sweet.. fluffy yet enough bite to make the donut a chewy treat. They have salt and they know how to use it. I have no idea what whipped cream substitute they use but dang! Would not believe anyone else that it was vegan. The icing made them the perfect sweet american raised donut. I am SO grateful to my friends for sharing the dozen donuts with me so I could try them all without eating the whole box by myself. Also grateful that I live outside their Door Dash delivery range so I cant sit at home in my sweats and order donuts delivered. Parking was an adventure but not impossible. Well worth it! Sour watermelon icing...Hell Yeah! I found many of their flavor very delicate.. like the earl gray in their London Fog. Oh, they also have a savory which I will have to go back for (I only got one and gave it to my husband).

Didnt have any expectations positive or negative about this place but came away mostly disappointed. A+ for creative flavor combos, F for execution. And no, I did not try every donut available to me at the time (so yes there couldve been one in the rough). That is unnecessary to understand what the problem is. I ordered three different raised donuts, including a fritter, and ice cream. Unfortunately, every one of them suffered from the same problem. The dough. It is entirely too dense, chewy, and bread-like and that will take away from any pleasure you may get from anything sweet used. The fritter was the most disappointing because I expect fritters at donut shops to be more brown and crispy than the rest as well as have pieces of fruit and swirls of cinnamon. This had about 2 pieces of fruit per half and zero cinnamon in the batter, though, It got the more brown part kinda right. The ice cream was no better. We chose the thai tea flavor. They got the color right, but the grainy texture of the whole ordeal ruined any pleasure potentially gotten from the flavor. I would not label what we ate ice cream. You can write me off as someone that doesnt have a palate for vegan desserts if you want, but good is as good does and this aint it.

Lovely vegan donuts! This is a wonderful little donut and ice cream shop. I tried two of their regular flavors and four seasonal flavors. The donuts and ingredients were high quality and delicious. The toppings arent overpowering- they taste more like the donut than the flavor/topping. I love that they change regularly and cant wait to see what is new each month. My favorite was the Portland fog because of the whip cream. The employees were nice and helpful and I got a punch card.

So freaking good!! I have tried other places with vegan donuts and they leave a weird film in your mouth and don’t taste that great. (Compared to non- vegan). This place is so good. Also some vegan places can have super dry desserts- this place was amazing. I asked the person working there to recommend 4 donuts. She recommended the Portland fog, the Bacon brown sugar, Cookie butter twist and the Apricot rose. The Portland fog tasted like earl grey tea- super good. The Bacon brown sugar was sooo good, the bacon was unbelievable. I’m not a super big fan of chocolate cake donuts but this one was probably the best cake donut I have had. The Cookie butter twist was the softest donut I have ever had- cookie part was awesome. The Apricot rose was my least favorite - it had a very delicate flavor compared to the other extremely strong flavors. All of the donuts were like a work of art- super pretty!! Highly recommend!!

As a native Portlandian, and one with a fondness for this cities donut shops, I am thrilled to discover a donut that exceeds the quality and hype of some of the other more popular donut spots in town. I really like the business a lot and love introducing friends to them. The ONE thing I’ll say they can improve upon is accuracy of your order. Recommended PDX donut stop if Voodoo is not your thing. The most classic for first timers is their salted vanilla bean, and they have a seasonal menu for more adventurous flavors. If you like Earl grey tea, then I also suggest the Portland fog. They serve ice cream as well but havent tried any yet. Current Covid policy as of Feb 2021 is mask required and limited capacity to 2 customers inside the shop at one time.Shop is inside a triangle area between two streets so your Google maps navigation may vary, but the main entry is closer to south side of the triangle on NE Broadway.

I went here yesterday. The donuts were very light and airy, probably due to the locally sourced, vegan ingredients. The flavors were delicious, especially the Portland Fog. I also ordered the birthday cake, french toast, oregon trail, strawberry lassi, and vanilla bean. All were good. The only thing I felt was missing was something richer in chocolate, which I thought I’d get from the oregon trail. That was my miss though, as it’s listed as a chocolate glaze. The donut was by no means bad, but if you are a dark chocolate lover, you will miss the mark with this. All was excellent, and if I were local, I’d certainly return.

We got here late afternoon and thus did not have many options to choose from but the good thing about this place is that it looked like they were refilling the empty trays with more fresh-baked donuts! We tried their seasonal donuts for the months of August and September, the Lychee Cotton Candy donut with real lychee glaze, pure raspberry powder, and blue raspberry cotton candy and the Zucchini Chocolate Chip donut which is a zucchini cake donut with milk chocolate glaze, and chocolate chips.I ended up buying their shirt for $20 that says, Eat Vegan, Stay Vegan, Eat Donuts. We got to Doe Donuts around 10am on a cold Saturday morning and were surprised to find quite a line out the front (not, however, too long to dissuade us from joining). The wait was worth it if only to eavesdrop on the first date that was occurring in the line in front of us. Doe Donuts is taking very good COVID precautions, only allowing one set of customers (meaning an individual or a group) in to the store at a time. The staff are very professional and knowledgeable about the ingredients (great for those with allergies) and it was exciting to see such a delicious-looking array of donuts and ice cream. While being the only customers in a shop at a time can be a somewhat daunting experience that may encourage the faint of heart to rush their order, the feeling in the store was very relaxed. We got the vanilla glazed, pierogi, lavender cookie dough, and strawberry sprinkled donuts. While Ive had many friends recommend Doe Donuts, Ive had better donuts at many other Portland locations- the flavor of the icing was too subtle for my liking, and the quality of the donuts left a little to be desired (not as fluffy or fresh tasting as some other spots). For those looking to Doe Donuts as a first date spot, I would suggest this based on the quality of the service and variety of flavors but I would stress that the wait time while in line may exhaust your small-talk reservoir, leading to somewhat awkward back and forth which may flow into the next section of your date.
