There are not many diners left like this. Delicious food & friendly and attentive wait staff. The affordable prices are just a bonus.

Quaint, definitely worth visiting. Only waited 5-10 minutes to get a table on a late Sunday morning. Wait staff is very attentive and accommodating. Id absolutely go back!
I havent had lunch here so I cant comment on that part of Q Streets food service. However, I eat breakfast here and it is fantastic! The food is home cooking so do not expect culinary masterpieces. What they do have is very tasty and the portions are large. The servers are very friendly, personable and attentive to customer needs like keeping that cup of coffee full! Expect to pay at least $10 - $12 per person unless you go al a carte on a single item. Well worth the visit. They take CASH or Debit, No Credit Card.
I used to really like this place.The last few times havent been great but after today I will not go back there.I ordered a sandwich with extra bacon, they charged me over $2 for extra bacon, when I got the sandwich it barely had any bacon on it, I couldnt imagine how much bacon it would have had if it was just regular.They chopped it up in small pieces I guess to make it look like theres more but it was clearly two pieces if I was lucky.I brought it to the waitress attention thinking it must have been a mistake, she told me no but shell go check because the owner is in the kitchen working...You could see her go back and tell him, he just laughed and said whatever very loudly and they all laughed like it was funny.Unprofessional, havung owned my own Pub for nearly 9 years, I would never act like that in front of a customer.On the way out the door the other lady inside the kitchen attempted to stare me down I just shook my head and smiled.Save your money go someplace else!Apparently he has enough customers.

Came here spontaneously while on vacation in Portland.This is a really welcoming establishment, the waitresses made me feel like family the second I walked in and the food is everything you would want from a homegrown diner with no downfalls.Place was very clean and I felt incredibly same eating here during pandemic times. It is a cash-only establishment but they have a ATM service with minimal fees.Great

This is our go to place😊 for a really good meal at a decent price. The food is definitely comfort food. It tastes great. Its wholesome and filling, but dont look for escargot! Just straight American and filling!

Always A Great Breakfast
Loved it. Where else are u going to get a great steak egg breakfast for $12. Also the only place in the North you can get a cup of REAL sweet tea. Felt like I was home even though I was 1,400miles from it. Will be my first stop when I go back to Portland next year.
I love Q Street! Lots of delicious and cheap options. The only downside is that when I’m in the mood for breakfast for dinner, this is where I want to go, however it is open strictly in the mornings. But that makes it oh so much sweeter!

My favorite breakfast place in the area. Food is good, like a home- cooked breakfast at your familys house. Service is excellent. Absolutely no complaints. Only catch, its cash only. If you forget they do have an ATM. Id like to keep this place a secret but they deserve the recommendation.

Great food! Accepts only cash & has only one table that sits more than 4 - and it sits only 6-7. Would love to go more often but cant always sit our group of 6-8.

I absolutely love this place my fiance and I love coming here. The food is tasty and the waitresses are amazing and very personable. Andrea is one of my favorite waitresses there shes very caring and funny. The regulars that come here are true characters. The prices are hard to beat. Everyone should give Q street a try. You will be hooked

A good spot to go to in the morning with the whole family. Its a seat yourself type place and its pretty busy so make sure you give yourself the time when choosing to dine in at Q Street Diner. My go to, is the Omelette with onion, mushroom, peppers and sausage with a side of homefries and white toast.
A hidden gem in South Portland. Cash only but they will give cash via a debit machine. The portions are big and the food is always consistent!

Everyone I come here usually get the steak and cheese. However, the Times I have been adventurous its always been delicious. Especially the breakfast foods. Cant say how good they are enough!

This is a wonderful little dinner, one of my favorites in the area. Ive tried multiple items from their menu and have never been disappointed. A little old fashioned as they dont accept cards but there are plenty of ATMs in the area and if youre really in a bind, they take checks from local banks.

Bob the cook makes a fabulous breakfast and Julia the waitress is professional and super friendly, love it there.
My wife and I have been coming here since 1994 (it was much smaller then). It is our goto place for breakfast and lunch. The kids love it. Great food, prices and service. Try the crab Benedict or the off menu Jenny Benny. The burgers are excellent and my wife often orders a Surprise Me Burger and Bob creates a masterpiece. (It helps that Bob knows what Jen likes). If you want a great meal give it a try, just bring cash or an ATM card, they dont take credit cards.

Food was good, fluffy pancakes, Texas size toast. Servers and cook worked hard to meet our timeline, even on a Sunday. Some food was greasy, but it is a diner, so what do u expect? 🙃

Always a great locals choice for breakfast, big menu, reasonable prices, great wait staff, we had 6 to seat and staff politely rearranged another customer to accommodate us. Only downside for some is its cash only but they have ATM on site.
Its like having breakfast with your extended family every weekend. Everyone knows everyone, whether its the regulars, the visitors asking about town and where to go next, or the super awesome staff!(I apologize if my toddler ends up at your table checking out your plate of breakfast.)
