Horrible. The person asked how many in our party, then returned waving us along then stopped looked at my toddler and proceeds to ask if she had been vaccinated! WHAT! SHES 3 years old, you cannot get a covid vaccine unless youre 16 or older. They refused to allow us to sit INSIDE restaurant, only our door. The EU was setting and is too chilly to be sitting outside to eat with a very young child! Boo two thumbs down. One star service.

We have been coming here for 6 years now and have always had a great time. It’s a laid back friendly place to drink a few beers. I highly recommend their home made horseradish sauce if you like to add a kick to your sandwich. During summer check out the deck. In winter they have cozy booths. Bridget the waitress is really friendly too!

It was okay, really busy of course, we were not prepared for the Highly Energetic & Vocal party that was sitting outside next to us, so we just ordered chips and a beer then left. Chips and salsa were very good though. I would love to take my husband back for the sandwiches, they were great 15 years ago, hope they still are.

Ive come here a couple of times mostly on weekday nights after work... Each time I end up waiting 30 to 40 minutes on the sidewalk before getting a table. I understand that there may be some staff shortages still but it seems odd to me each time that there are numerous open tables. I also usually end up waiting quite a long time before having an order taken once seated. For example I brought some friends the other day who arent from the area and we waited over an hour before being seated and having our order taken and it was a Tuesday night and not very crowded. The staff are friendly. Food is pretty okay. Had a tasty Marionberry cocktail! Honestly will probably return since the atmosphere is very homey feeling and overall the experience was good. I just wish I didnt have to wait so long for a table at times when it isnt very crowded

It has been there forever and probably will be. Barring the possibility of an invasion by hostile foreign government, Beaverton is a possibility, this place will always have a place in my heart and my stomach. The latter for the quality of food and atmosphere as well as for being the restaurant that converted me to a former hater of the horseradish and/or rye bread faction(s). Of the former for incubating, tormenting and ultimately allowing the electorate to put this man in charge of Stumptown while it was still at risk of bad influence from naughty people.

So, heres the backstory: Im flying back to PDX, arriving in the late evening. By the time I land the airport restaurants are closing around me and Im hungry. What to do? I get off the MAX in downtown Portland, hoping to find something hot to eat, but with very few choices, and one of those very expensive, Im feeling down. I hop back on the MAX, heading west, resigned to having a hungry night with an almost-empty fridge.Open now yields the Goose Hollow Inn. So I jump off the MAX, walk a few steps to the inn, and Im greeted by a cozy neighborhood dive with the overwhelming scent of pastrami in the air.Yes! Hot Reubens, made to order in a tiny space, with all the appropriate sides: pickle and potato salad. I am excited. I order one to go, hop outside, and make it back to the MAX platform with two minutes to spare before the next train arrives! So theres the story: tasty hot food, late at night, available so quickly that you wont miss a train. As my kids said: thats a happy.

I would really give this place like a 4.6-4.7, but thats not an option. This place is cool. At the moment, they have patio seating... which is great for covid. Today I got a Reuben, potato salad, carrots and a full size soup, and it really ran about $20 not including tip. Personally I dont love the potato salad. I think it has potential, but isnt quite there yet, but some buddies of mine have enjoyed it, so I cant REALLY knock it.. Anyway the staff works hard. Worth a try IMO.Their cocktails are also pretty dope.

A cozy place with very nice servers. I considered getting something other than the famous Reuben, but couldnt help myself after watching so many of them come out of the oven looking so cheesy and delicious. The sandwich was incredible and the sides (carrot sticks, potato salad, and a pickle) were perfectly paired with the sandwich. I left absolutely stuffed to the brim. Next time I may opt to split it with someone. I am super content, though. Yum!

I have been to Goose Hollow at least 100 times over the past years. I am now leaving portland forever to move to another state. Number one on my bucket list was GH for the reuben. It really is the best in the world. And Ive tried hundreds. Yesterday I returned (again...I was there the week before for the Tuesday crab salad! Oh my yes!!!) and it was absolutely off the hook. First and foremost, the reuben was exceptional as usual. But! It was a cold day. The patio was warm, cozy and delightful. The service was impeccable. I was able to kiss my darling friend goodbye in a place that felt like home. I will miss you. God speed.
