This is a great neighborhood market for snacks, treats, or those little items that you run out of like milk, eggs, and beer! Ha. I love that they have growlers available and good cigars! The owner is friendly and has a great sense of humor! They have been awesome during the quarantine and pandemic with all of their safety protocols and sanitizing of counters.

No public restrooms kept me from fueling up and buying merchandise.

Minimum charge $5 if you want to use and form of electronic payment, snarky attitude, no public restrooms, not even for paying customers.Thankfully the Subway next door is kind enough to offer restroom usage to those who arent even customers, and even gave me a free cookie when I went in to get a soda, because I couldnt buy just one soda at this bottom tier shop.Dont waste your money here, go to the Plaid Pantry next door.

Ya know its bad when the owner doesnt price a darn thing in the store. He is either REALLY bad at business, or priced high as heck. Plaid Pantry is across the street. I suggest walking over and avoiding this place..

Theres a reason that there hasnt been a Yelp review for this place since 2015 - because Yelp doesnt give you the option to choose zero stars. Youll notice, I dont write very many reviews unless a place really warrants one, and this one ABSOLUTELY warrants one. One star. At best.I live in the area, and the new owner is one of the worst examples of customer service employees I have EVER encountered, and I lived in L.A. for decades, so thats saying a LOT.I went in for a bag of ice, a couple of batteries and some hand sanitizer to finish stocking up for a camping trip. I brought a bag of ice to the counter and asked if he had batteries. He said yes, but he only sells them in singles. Anyway, I thought nothing of it, didnt know how many I needed so passed on that and asked if he had hand sanitizer. He just stared at me as if I killed his dog. It took him well over 5 seconds of staring at me before letting out a borderline-angry no.So I handed him my card for the bag of ice. He dryly said its a 5 dollar minimum to use the card. I myself at this point muttered Jesus, ok, charge me for another bag of ice. He immediately shot, with venom in his voice and his eyes, What did you say?Slightly stunned and more than slightly confused, I told/asked him Ill take another bag of ice?He said No, before that, apparently to my muttering Jesus, before asking for the second bag of ice.I said Are you serious? He said Yeah, thats right.I said, this time loudly and clearly, Wow. F* you and walked out.As I was walking out, he was yelling at me Yeah, THATS RIGHT as the man behind me watched in horror and seemed to follow me right out. That curmudgeony zero sure knows how to bring the worst out of people.I went directly across the street to the Plaid Pantry. My first question was Are you guys in any way affiliated with that place across the street? The kind attendant there shook their head no, and it was immediately obvious I wasnt the first one, an instinct they confirmed before telling me two stories of similar situations that happened in just the past week. The ying and the yang...Do yourself a favor, save yourself some sanity, and go directly across the street to the Plaid Pantry instead.

Would not allow a potty training 3 year old to use the bathroom during a potty emergency. Give your business to Starbucks or Subway instead if you have to stop for refreshments in this part of town.
