Worst place, No services, rude and very unprofessional staff. Feeling they just want to make money selling you glasses and dont care about you.

The staff at Barbur Optometric Clinic is committed to giving their clients the very best care on a huge level. I brought my son in with the most beat-up, broken pair of glasses you have ever seen, and the wonderful Jenny took one look at them and immediately found a spare pair in the back that my sons lenses fit into! Not only did she go out of her way to ensure that my son could see until his vision benefits kicked in with our insurance, which isnt for another month, but she also did so with such kindness and compassion. The doctor was very thorough and had great communication, and the selection of frames is great. Would HIGHLY recommend!!!
Hungry for money and business. After convincing me that I should stay with them even after Id moved out of the city, they proceeded to get wrong a very expensive order of sunglasses. Twice they tried to fix the order, which was to their credit, but they couldnt locate the problem. Went to a local Bend eye doctor and they immediately realized that the positioning of the glass was wrong and could be easily fixed by the original provider. I called back Barbur Optometrics and they told me that they had already taken a loss on me, refused to help me further, said their doctor would call me (they never did) and even said that I should have just seen a Bend doctor in the first place (even though it was THEIR advice that got me not to). As long as I was spending my money with them, they were happy and all smiles. As soon as I started costing them money (because of a mistake they made) I was met with resistance.I left a very disappointed customer and you will, too, eventually. There are so many eye doctors in the Portland area, why would you choose someone like this? Look elsewhere.
Ive been coming to this location and their Tigard office for many years and receive great care at every visit! Dr. Freedle and his team spends more time with me than any other medical office Ive been to and leaves me feeling educated on the health of my eyes and even overall health. I can also always count on Jenni to help with frame selection and choosing the perfect pair!
We needed to get new glasses for my wife quickly. Were able to get in for an exam within a few days with an excellent doctor (Dr. Midson) who was able to diagnose a challenging optical condition. We then looked for frames, and the optician Jenni was nice enough to look in both of their store locations to give us maximum selection to choose from. Overall we are very satisfied with our experience!
Do not come here!!!!!!!!!!! The entire experience felt very deceiving and it took me 6 months to get my eyeglasses prescription and that was only after I called my insurance. I was seen on January 22nd of this year. I needed a new prescription for my eyeglasses. i let the optometrist know that I dont see very well out of my left eye due to a detached retina and that I might have a hard time seeing anything from that eye. She mentioned something about seeing a retina specialist. Okay,that sounds like a good idea. When they didnt give me my prescription,they told me they would email me my prescription. That never happened. When I called and emailed them about my prescription,they told me the optometrist wanted me to get a 2nd opinion on my prescription. i explained that my insurance would only pay for one routine eye exam (you know,the one I was attempting to do in January?)and the next time they would pay for another eye exam wouldnt be until June. When I called my insurance,they were surprised that i never got my prescription,called the clinic,and got my prescription for me. So....in order for me to get my prescription from the Optometric Clinic,I needed to get my insurance company involved. Not very professional and I dont plan on coming back due to such poor communication on the clinics end.
Just saw someone else post about bad care and that pushed me to post, too. Mediocre doctors and sloppy ordering led to me having to get my glasses replaced three times. To their credit, they handled the replacement process well and were very nice, but I wont be going back again. There are other doctors who can get my order right on first go.
