$5.75 for a chocolate croissant :(Listen, this place is lovely, and they got a good thing going, but as someone who has lived 10 years in NYC, who delights in all kinds of artisanal delicacies, I believe that it is completely unreasonable to charge $5.75 for a croissant. I’d consider paying $5, if it was one of the best croissant ever - I mean we are talking a restaurant renown for its croissants, famous for them, then yes, I’d pay $5.Anyway, the baked goods here are overpriced.

The coffee and pastry like the sign indicates are good. This includes the quiches which are usually well made. The regular breakfast leaves a little to be desired, it is filling and good but nothing to write home about. The oatmeal was improved greatly with the addition of fresh cut Apple and blueberry. The interior is fantastic with wood colors and chalkboards throughout. Even the outdoor seating is great with both by the road and hidden away outdoor seating. Staff are very friendly and know their coffees and menu. The bathrooms are clean. No parking so walk to it, though there is some limited street parking. They are on a transit route.

Delicious coffee and pastries. Theyre doing the best they can with everything thrown at them this past year and were so happy theyre still here. Yummy latte, delicious quiche. Patiently waiting for biscuits and gravy to come back. If you come here after 10:30, expect only half or so of the pastries/food options to still be available, because theyre delicious and they sell out.

Visiting a friend in Portland so wanted to try some local coffee in this town thats known for its coffee. So i stopped by this place near where Im staying. Cute place, very friendly staff, but... the drip coffee of the day was absolutely dreadful. I drank only 1/4 of it. It was that bad. It tasted like a more burnt, bitter version of old school diner instant coffee. Maybe this batch of the drip coffee had been out for many hours. Ill just make my awesome coffee at home for the rest of my stay here.

One of my go-to breakfast and coffee joints. Outstanding coffee. Good tea selection. Breakfast menu items are delicious and great value for the price. Pastries are always top-notch, but get there early because they tend to run out quickly. The only downfall is dont plan to camp out and sip your latte all day long...the wifi is seasonally sporadic. Also the tables are a little too big to have an intimate conversation. Seats can be hard to find on a busy day. If you can be patient, however, this place is a gem.

Has some nice outside seating. I chose to wait for my friend inside. At 10am I was lucky to snag a recently vacated table for two. Customers order from the counter where the staff moves at an efficiently friendly pace. While busy, the background noise fades to a hum, allowing nice conversation for two people, or in the case of the gentleman sitting at the table next to me computer time. I only had fresh squeezed orange juice, but I observed a nice selection of various pastries and other baked goods. Would visit again when in the area. Street parking only might make it difficult for some depending upon the time of day.

Cute place! I loved the house made syrups and the chocolate frosted devils food Bundt slice was great. The espresso was very weak. I ordered a triple shot iced Snickers mocha. The shots are less than a half oz I believe. Leaving the beverage to taste super watered down, not to mention the flavor was barely there, and when asked for more of all three flavors, I watched and only received two. Im normally the type of person to ask for a remake if I dont like something Im paying for but, the barista yesterday was very sullen, not friendly, off-putting. Which dropped my confidence in her ability to remake so I just didnt ask. Please address and correct as I would love to give this bakery another try

The food is good, I mean once you navigate the incredibly impersonal staff and wait 40 minutes on a Monday at 11am. Literally no one smiled, I was sitting outside and after 30 minutes asked politely if I need to come in for food or if they bring it out, the lady behind the counter snapped that they were busy and I needed to be patient. When the food was delivered (by a different staff member) I smiled and said thank you. She looked directly at me, no expression, did not reply, and walked away.

While I love the energy, ambiance, and espresso here, the food and service is super inconsistent. I was hesitant to come back after my last visit because of how rude the staff were that I interacted with. The food last time however was good.
