Yes 5 stars. I mean... Its really good. We had seen the place but finally one day said lets try it. Since then, its by far our favorite. Waaaaay better than frozen yogurt or ice cream. The flavors are fantastic and service is great. I would even go here when its cold outside just for a fix. Smooth, creamy, and intense flavors. Thank you!

I heard of Pinolo through word of mouth when talking about non-dairy ice cream. This place was actually a killer find and had 4 vegan options. They said they always have at least 3, but the 4th one was a weekly special. You can have up to 4 flavors in a large so I was able to try all of them. The flavors were lemon basil, peach, raspberry, and local blackberry. The consistency of this sorbetto was much more creamy than icy like you find a lot of places. Such a lovely treat, so delicious + refreshing.

I really like the taste of ice creams here. It is different to what you typically get in a parlor. You can taste the rich creaminess of the ingredients, which is one of the best in the Portland area. I have been to more popular places but this one is definitely better. Worth a try!

As Portland summer temps heat up again, it was a perfect afternoon for Gelato... who am I kidding... Gelato is ALWAYS a good option, especially if its from Pinolo. I think the last time I had Gelato was while I was living in Spain. Thus, I had high expectations. It didnt disappoint!!As soon as you walk in you are faced with the toughest decision of your life.... what delicious flavor to I choose?!? Haha each option looks so beautiful and so appetizing. I ended up going with the Lemon/Basil paired with Blueberry. What a mixture!! The Gelato artist (sever) was kind, welcoming, and conversational. He got me hooked up with my cup and Italian goodies.Looking forward to going back and trying various flavors.

I believe I have found the best chocolate gelato in the Portland area or maybe in the Oregon. Cioccolato is definitely the best. We love to buy this gelato in a pint use it with our espresso machine at home to create Affogato.I tried all of their classic gelatos. Hazelnut was pretty good. But, this month, they have hazelnut with chocolate (Bacio) aka Nutella. I wish this flavor to stay as their classic flavor. For non dairy, last week, they had Peach (Pesca). It was good. Not overly sweet and it had an intense peach flavor. Earlier in the year, I tried their Orange. It was also good. Last month, I was lucky enough to try their cantaloupe and mint flavor. It was so refreshing but I feel like they may need to go a bit lighter on their mint so its not over powering their cantaloupe.

Don’t let the “not ice cream” signs turn you off. The signs are way more pretentious than the SUPER HELPFUL and FRIENDLY staff. God those signs annoy me, get over yourself already gelato.Lots of good flavors. Ask ask ask the staff what to get. They make thoughtful recommendations and know what is available in limited times and what is going to stick around.

Totally worth the 4,8 average review!!! Best gelato in the whole city!!! If you are looking for a tastier and healthier version of Salt & Straw here you are. Great ingredients directly from Italy, fresh made, nice staff, good prices and they also have new tastes every week!!! Best place to spend those nice summer evenings post dinner in Portland!

Absolutely delicious. Flavors are great, especially the seasonal specials flavors. Always have a few non dairy sorbettos that are refreshing as well.Im both happy and mystified this place doesnt have the kind of line salt and straw down the street does. While Pinolos flavors are certainly more simple the quality and execution of those flavors is far above the others in town.

I was expecting to pay 10 dollars each for a small gelato like back home in NYC so I already had judged this placeTo my surprise I was met with a very nice server who had good energy. My friend ordered a pistachio and chocolateI got hazelnut and fior di latte which was good. Creamy thick and flavorfulIt came out to 9$ for 2 smalls which is really not bad at all. Like I said in NYC that would have been like 18 dollars easy. Ill be back

So, Pinolo Gelato, or Pine Nut Ice Cream, as we Mericans would say, makes Italian-style Gelati. They, like, actually go out and pick fruits from the actual fields where the fruits live, and make them into tasty deserts - much to the dismay of the fruits. But sometimes sacrifices must be made in the name of art, and the fruits all understand. They also have the chocolate and nut type gelati, but why would you do that when the fruits have all suffered for you?

I came in with my family on June 27th, My daughter who is 5 was in tears and needed to pee, she needed to use the restroom very badly. But instead I had to leave and find a bush for a 5 year old to pee in
