Sweet staff and good coffee. Croissants and egg muffins were delicious and made fresh. I had the chai latte and it was made perfectly.

Cozy shop with handmade drinks. Spot for students to work or study, but a bit small.

This spot is still great after 5 years of coming here. The breakfast sammies are super well priced considering I can get bacon, tomato, and hot sauce on an everything bagel. The owner, Jenniferoni, and their staff are hard working and kind baristas.

I went here several years ago and got my first lavender latte. it was delicious. things havent changed. their breakfast sandwiches are fantastic and their coffee drinks rock! what really tied it together was the amazing interior, atmosphere, and unparalleled customer service. this place rocks and ill definitely be returning.

Great experience, staff was very nice and genuinely cared about how my day was going. My drink was made in a timely manner and I prefer this places coffee over the Barista shop across the street. I think this is my new spot.

The atmosphere of this small corner coffee shop is delightful. Its cozy and comfortable with laid back tunes and a small sitting area. I was disappointed with the coffee though, the espresso was pulled poorly and was burnt/bitter tasting. It was disappointing because the shop wasnt overly busy at the time, yet it felt rushed. Despite sitting in, I was given a to go cup. Not a big deal, but its the little things.

Super friendly and great service. I tried the Mexican Mocha and bran muffin, both were heavenly... Real ingredients with rich flavors.

One of my favorites downtown. The staff is super nice and helpful, the coffee is great, and the goodies are quick and easy. Theres comfortable seating and more traditional tables and chairs.

The White Mocha was exceptional in taste and quality. The barrista was friendly and well versed and seasoned in the craft of our obsession. They have THE BEST apple fritters! I enjoy coming here with my boyfriend or when he brings me home an apple fritter.

I love this place. Its one block from my office and Ive never regretted a visit to the Lotus. Prices are comparable with Starbucks and it has a wonderful small business feel while providing better than chain-level service.Happy hour runs from 3-5pm, for those looking to give the Lotus a try

Visited after the Saturday market and had a good latte. The baristas were so sweet.

I was having a bad morning. Our flight was cancelled and while on the Max my husband and I decided we wanted to sit on a comfy couch and drink good mochas. We wanted a very specific atmosphere, of comfort and ease, and Lotus & Bean provided it for us. The coffee was good, and the pastries were alright, but the couch... The couch was perfect!

Lotus and Bean is a great place to grab a coffee and relax on a break from work or school. The prices are comparable to any place around, but the service is what keeps me coming back! The staff are very personable and always cheery. Definitely give them a try.

The employees are great! Their coffee is wonderful. The mood in Lotus &Bean is cool. Plus, their pastries, breakfast bagels and sandwiches are really good.

I would give this place 4 stars for coziness and 5 for how friendly the staff are. However, if you are after a well pulled espresso drink with perfectly steamed milk I would walk a few more blocks and pay the same at Stumptown. It was burned and bitter. Not the Baristas fault, just bad process and/or training and/or equipment and/or old beans, but in a town that prides itself on espresso drinks I feel they could do better for the price.

Everyone is nice, warm and super friendly. The shop is quaint, very comfortable and clean. I bring friends, coworkers and vendors... Everyone has complemented on this little gem.

Lovely little spot in the Willamette building. Spacious, comfortable seating. Good wifi (4Mbps parallel), good drip coffee. Also great tunes playing. Very friendly and helpful staff. Id definitely one back here again.

I will also start this review with LOVE this coffee shop. Im all about finding a place that I can quietly work, read, or journal that doesnt feel like its trying to be hip and trendy. Its a comfortable environment to chat with a friend, or take an afternoon to yourself. The girls that work there are awesome and really friendly, and the coffee is great! They always have a monthly 16 oz coffee for $3 which is really awesome as well. If you are also sick of Starbucks, Peets, Stumptown and the like, try this!

Its nice to have a place like this nearby when you need a little pick-me-up. The staff are great and efficient, and the drinks and food are tasty.

Sadly the coffee was awful - perhaps the barista was different for the others but this was not drinkable. The first tiny sip scalded my tongue and the texture was nonexistent. The flavour was awful like a pure ashtray. Sadly, it was way overpriced at $4.20.

This place is good. Its a nice stop if youre in the neighborhood. With the Wi-Fi and comfortable seating you can get a lot of work done. Service was okay.

The staff are amazing, they learn who you are quick and know your drink if you get the same thing a lot.

The people who work here are the best. They remeber everyones names and orders and have the best trivia and if you get it right you can win free drinks. The coffee is good and they have a great selection of milks and sweetners including honey. The also have monkey cookie cookies which are some of the best cookies Ive ever had. If youre in line wondering whether or not to buy the bag of tiny cookies, theyre more than worth the $3. The coffee prices are good too, my only objection is that theyre sandwiches are really expensive.

This may be the only place Ive been where I can get a CUP (8 oz.) of espresso, which is pretty good. Their house coffees medium roast is right on the money, and best of all, their prices are fantastic. With all the purported gourmet cafes around town, including Stumptown and Barista nearby, prices seem to average around $3-$4 for most drinks, even just coffee and espresso. Yet here at Lotus & Bean, a french press is just $2.50, a cup of espresso just over $2, and specialty drinks around $3. Ive had better quality drinks, but not at this value. Also, answer their question of the day on the counter, and get a prize! I can only complain about the lack of outlets, so this isnt the best place for doing a few hours of work on your laptop; bring a friend or a book.
