If you are more interested in exploring the subtle notes of oat milk and dont want it ruined by bold flavored coffee, this is your place. Maybe Ethiopian beans? Judging by the number of man-buns and a majority of the patrons appearing to be heavily medicated, anything stronger would probably Harsh their mellow.Cashier was friendly and had personality. My condolences to the rest of the staff that were obviously mourning the loss of someone close.

My new favorite breakfast. One of their silky smooth lattes and the Emory’s avocado toast that looks like a fairytale. I drive from West Linn just for it.

Review №3

Had a blast breakfast at Fairlane Coffee with their delicious toasts. The avocado toast looks simple yet is quite flavorful with a generous layer of avocado slices; the nut butter banana toast feels homey and hearty, a delight to have in the morning. Both toasts are made vegan and on grand central bread which tastes so good.I would love to come back again and maybe try some of their pastries, they definitely look good! Service is friendly with a laid-back vibe. There are plenty of outdoor dining tables in the courtyard next to the coffee shop.

$20 for two terrible pastries and two med/small lattes. Come for the coffee, avoid the baked goods. The muffin was costco-grade and the scone was inedible sawdust.

Good coffee but they seem to be stuck in 2020 with their Covid paranoia. Still wont open their regular entrance, asking for papers like in East Germany to get a coffee, and they dont even realize State guidance has moved on and we dont need masks inside any longer. Obviously their right as a business but take your business elsewhere if you dont want to live in a permanent state of fear like this coffee shop. Sad. Dave

Im a coffee nerd, and would definitely recommend fairline to coffee nerd friends! It seems Fairline uses Onyx beans, no one is going to doubt the quality there.Sure enough, drip and espresso tasted great today. Coffee folks wont be disappointed. The drip had clear strawberry notes, and the espresso was a balanced (not bitter or sour) and complex Guji with lemongrass/floral/herbal flavors. Fun coffee!Plus they have some neat tea, and some snacks that sounded tasty, and relaxed outdoor seating. :)

Coffee was divine, but the cost was a bit higher than my budget can stand. It was great for what I wanted, but if I lived near there, I couldnt afford it very often. What Im used to paying about $3.50 for, they charged $5.50. They roast their own beans, and it IS a quality operation. I left off a star due to their prices, not the quality of their product.

A nice spot with great music that leads to a chill and relaxing atmosphere. Do your homework or deep readings here. I purchased the lavendar decaf latte (I am allergic to caffeine! 😫) and it was creamy and chill. It isnt the most amazing coffee I have had but it is quite close. Also the staff are very welcoming and if you become a regular it seems they become your friends. How cool is that to see such wonderful human interaction. Did I meant ion they have wifi? Oh yeah come here to do homework!

Fairlane has recently become my go-to spot. This place is the full package- great social distancing set up (and cute seating when it is allowed), friendly baristas whose skill is unparalleled, a good selection of tasty baked goods for a variety of dietary restrictions, and just yesterday I opened up my first bag of their own coffee beans- a very light and fruity Ethiopian.

It’s taken me too long to update this review. I gave it three stars originally. However, after reading my review every effort was made to give me a better experience. I wasn’t expecting that and I really appreciated it. I went back and the service was great and the coffee was as well. If you’re in the area, this is a good spot to grab a cup of coffee.

Perfectly nice place, people. Good if you prefer oat milk to half n half in your coffee. Two drinks for $10 approximately. Popular. The spider plants desperately need their babies to find earth or be removed, the main plants are in obvious distress. Some of the philodendrons also have lost most of their leaves, need to hire a green thumb person to work the place! Just an atmospheric note from someone who cares about plants ;-)

So my husband and I stopped in here for coffee. There were a few people in line ahead of me and only one girl working behind the counter. She was trying to make food and also coffee for folks. Anyway I finally got to order and then we waited probably at least 20 minutes for our coffee. At that point she had gotten the order wrong. She forgot that it was a decaf latte with soy. She also gave me a 12 oz instead of a 16 oz that I ordered. At that point I just wanted the coffee so I didnt say anything. The girl behind the counter was super nice just needed help. And she should really write down her orders so she gets them straight. I love the venue but the service was just not good.

I go here for the pastries. Loretta Jeans supplies amazing pie, banana bread, and other pastries. Best chai lattes at Fairlane Coffee!! Great and friendly service during every visit, and Fairlane is in a great location in Sellwood near several other restaurants my husband, kids, and I like to go to. I had a minor issue with being overcharged a couple times with my personal cup, and when providing feedback regarding this issue I was given such great and friendly customer service from Management that made me even happier that I’m a loyal customer to one of our local coffee shops in town! I definitely recommend the chai latte and pastries if you plan on making a visit to Fairlane Coffee in Sellwood, OR!

Great, friendly service with fast WiFi and seating inside. This felt roomy - not cramped between tables.Ordered a toast with ricotta, almonds, and a berry compote for $5.95 and I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of bread and toppings that came with it. I was nervous it would not be enough to warrant $6 but it was a thick slice with plenty of toppings. They didn’t have a chai tea non-latte, only premade with milk. Other than that, I loved it!

Ive spent many a morning at Fairlane Coffee, and although its not a bad spot, and the coffee is good, it has never been on my list of favorite places to start my day. Like I said, I like the coffee, and the baked goods are good, but the ambience is lacking in my opinion. Ita nice enough building, but feels a little stark, it just doesnt have that cozy feel that I prefer. There arent many seating options other than hard chairs, either at the window bar, the regular tables, or the big table in the center of the room. And while there are a couple of cool baristas, there are also a couple who seem just a little too cool in their own minds if you get what I mean. And to me, unless the coffee and eats in a place are either amazingly good, or spectacularly awful, then the ambience and the attitude of the staff are the things that are going to make me want to either come back or decide to go elsewhere. So thats where Im at with it. I give it 4 stars, its not a bad place but its not gonna be a favorite for me either.
