In a endless abyss of coffee options throughout the PNW, somehow small spots like Deadstock manage to differentiate themselves with their latte art. Is it gimmicky? Yeah, but at least theyre putting in effort. Is this the coolest spot to grab coffee to post on social media? Yeah, it probably is. Staff is really chill and good vibes all around. I recommend checking it out.

What an all around great experience! We were passing through from Seattle and this will now be a staple on our trip! Thanks for the great conversation, suggestions and more importantly the cup of art! This is how coffee should he done. Sneaker game strong.

I walk past the coffee shop nearest my home to go to Deadstock. Why? 1. Coffee there is soo good! Tastes like coffee should. 2. Service. Always a good feeling going in there. They listen. They are super friendly.. 3. Prices are reasonable. The only 2 things that I wish is for them to get a blender, and more syrups like Toffee Nut.

Deadstock is on the (ultra) shortlist of Portland cafes. It has an entirely unique vibe and energy that you cant get anywhere else, with sneakers and street style up front. More importantly, the shop is about building community, inside and out. Going beyond the aesthetic is what makes it special.Unfortunately as of May 21 to-go is still the only option, but take some time to look at the details, art, and definitely some merch. The coffee and talent happen to on point too, so theres every reason to visit.

Great ambience definitely unique, coffees have acidity (in case you don’t like that) but most of all (unfortunately) poor service with attitude leaving customers with bad taste. It could have been a great experience had the staff be more welcoming and friendly instead of taking that aloof attitude asking not to touch anything

Finally tried Deadstock. The shop is cool (and I’m not even a sneaker head), nice art, layout, everything. The coffee is great and the price was perfect. The best thing though was the staff, they were friendly and chill, not fake like a lot of spots. They personalized my order, asked how much milk I wanted added. I will walk the extra distance to come here more often. Maybe grab some merch next time.

Yet another must see spot! I love how the owner (Ian Williams) has fused coffee with the hip hop culture. Plus hes a sneaker head and all of these things are reflected in his shop. When we planned our trip we Googled places to go at this was at the top of our list. Go and support, they make coffee DOPE!

Stopped in today for a post workout cappuccino. There was a fanboy inside payin respect to this place as I waited to order - saying he came in as he was passing through pdx. Def no menus so you’d have to ask about specialties. It was surely no cappuccino upon receipt-but the espresso was great and an enjoyable latte. For me - service was meh. This didn’t feel like a hang out but more of a get me out. Might come back, but in this coffee Mecca…hard to say. I used to tell my clients to stop here, might take a break. Cool sneaker clock on the wall.

Super cool place in the heart of Portland. The shop itself is small and has limited seating, but it’s worth a stop in for any shoe lover. They have a rotating collection of rare and unique shoes as well as some displays of shoe components. The coffee was fantastic and the shoe on top was better than a cherry for this shoe loving girl.

Great coffee spot where we popped in after a friend of ours told us about it. The owner is huge into community and used to work for Nike so he opened the coffee shop and has a shoe display. Next door they also have a shoe school which is awesome for people who want to design for major shoe companies. The guys working there were extremely helpful telling us the story of how the shop was created. Awesome place!

This café ended up being near the Aribnb room my friend and I were staying at while in Portland, so when we checked out, we just packed up our stuff and headed here for breakfast before leaving. It ended up being some of the best food I tasted on my entire trip to both Portland and Seattle. We were there around 10am, and the wait honestly wasnt terrible, despite what other people have mentioned.Yes, I got a breakfast drink. Why not, eh? I opted for the Kubansk, which was rum, mint, cardamom milk, house-made cold brew, and whipped cream served cold. In came in a tall, beautiful glass, and was stunning to look at, and just as delicious, let me tell you. As for my meal, I got the special, which was some sort of little folded pocket that had goat cheese and spinach in it. The food was incredible here. Super fresh, and well-seasoned. Everyones pictures look amazing, and the food was just as good as the pictures made it look. The place itself is on the small side, and we ate at the bar, so we were overlooking the open kitchen where a lot of meal prep and cooking was going on. It was fascinating to peer over the table and watch the cook shake a pan with one hand to loosen up the food, and clean counter space with the confident practiced air of someone who has been doing this so long that it actually looks graceful.

I had been following this shop on IG for a couple of years because the concept and the story of there existence was dope. When I got a work trip scheduled to Portland it was on the top on my list. Its a quaint spot but exactly how I thought it would be. All of the staff were super cool and the coffee was great. It was kinda hot out when I went (June) so I got an iced coffee and I wasnt able to get the dope sneaker designs they do on top of the hot drinks, maybe next time. Ill be back for sure.

Stopped by this gem in my short weekend trip to Portland, and was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful the coffee was! They only have a menu for tea, and stated that they can essentially make any coffee drink. I didnt go too wild and just ordered an iced vanilla latte ($4.25). It was super tasty! The vanilla flavoring really came through and the coffee didnt get watered down as I sipped on it. I know they probs do fancy sneaker-themed latte art if you order a hot drink, but alas, I was not in the mood for a hot drink :/.Love finding these smaller coffee shops strolling around.

Deadstock is one of my favorite coffee places in Portland. It brings an angle of diversity that Portland doesnt see as much as it should, and along with that some excellent coffee. The people here wont look down on you for ordering something like you might see at Starbucks, alternatively though they they make excellent cappuccinos. This is definitely the place to go if you like coffee, want to see some sweet kicks.

I’d heard so many great things but was a little disappointed. The lattes were ok but not worth the price. No menu sounds cool and hip but there was nothing special other than a few flavor pumps. Super Hot Fire. The guys working here are really cool to hang out with. I stayed pretty much all day doing homework. They played 🔥bangers🔥 the entire time. At one point I told a customer that I thought Kendrick was GOAT, and they played Kendrick for like a half an hour after that. There is no coffee menu which I thought was unique and very cool. Everything was made to order. My coffee was A1 and was served in a Stussy mug. Water comes in throwback Blazers glasses. Great for your snap game. Also the oat bar was dank. Ill be back for the trap cake I heard so much about.Thank you! 10/10

Love the guys here, and the Zero Chill (sweet tea and black coffee blend). The lattes are always great, and the occasional homeless person wandering buy is harmless. Hole in the wall location, with a cool sports feel that doesnt feel oppressive if youre not into sports. Not a location for dragging in your laptop and setting up for a while, though.
