Great location, good coffee, nice vibe, and kind staffs! Perfect place to chill and work night/day. Also they designed their goods really well. It could be a nice souvenir if you are visiting Portland. Will definitely come back here.

Interesting cocktails and a cool uphill seating area outside where you can chill and enjoy the weather.

Its a pretty neat place. However, its frustrating that they dont at least have some indoor seating options on a hot day like today, especially since they have air conditioning. The outdoor setup is all right though.

These folks are the best! Eclectic beer selection? Check. Tasty coffee drinks? Check. I dont really care if theyre vegan or not, but if thats important to you, everything they carry is completely vegan. They also host frequent popups for local vegan food entrepreneurs, so you can get your hands on tasty treats before they become so popular you have to stand in line for an hour.

You want vegan food? And some beer it coffee? This is a place to go.And do not miss it in their mini-grocery store next door.

Love this place! My boyfriend and I recently visited in the late afternoon. I ordered an oat latte, and he ordered a cocktail. Both were delicious.The atmosphere is cute and relaxed. Only downside is they do not have decaf coffee options, which would be pretty nice for us late coffee drinkers.

This is my favorite coffee shop in Portland. It’s vegan, so it’s easy to bring any friend here who doesn’t do dairy. The beer selection is wonderful as well. Often I like to go for a coffee, or a alcoholic bevvy to drink and study. It’s a great place to bring friends as well.There is a lot of positive creative energy in this space as well. From the aesthetic of the place, the amazing bathroom mural, to the actual people there working on various projects. I’ve seen painters, knitters, and other fun projects being done here.

Always a friendly atmosphere. Great beer and liquor selection and beers to go are welcomed. Phillip created a perfect corner shop for this neighborhood. If you have 5 minutes to a whole afternoon to kill this is a great place to do it at.

This place is so cool! You can get your caffeine and/or an adult beverage. The decor is unique and creative as are the menu items. They sell coffee mugs and other items that are pretty awesome... Its nestled in a quieter area. Definitely one of the most unique coffee shops in Portland.

I have been going to Coffee Beer for a little over a year now. The ambience and decor is superb and I wish there were more places in Portland like Coffee Beer. Jessica and the staff do an incredible job keeping the plants healthy which promote a clean redolent that is neutral to coffee and beer drinkers alike. I keep going back hoping my experience will be better. Intermittently, to my dismay I do not get the welcoming vibe I am hoping for after a long days work. When I arrived one night the store was full and there was no one at the front counter. I waited for a couple minutes and asked a patron, ‘who is working?’ When the barista came out it appeared he was busy in the back settling financial business. He kindly poured me a beer and insisted to do so. During this time the manager/owner was working in the back. When the barista came out, the manager/owner opened the back door and shouted aloud to do ‘one more line! One more line!’ the owner then announced aloud of personal endeavors of trying to get off work and had been doing so for an hour. This experience left me feeling like I was an inconvenience to other plans and the time it took to pour me a beer was trifling. This is not the first, second, or third time I have felt this way at Coffee Beer therefore, I must rescind my future endeavors and expenses towards this business.

Awesome place to sit and work. WiFi is a little slow if you need to stream video or other more Internet heavy things, but there is plenty of seating, and a great atmosphere. Menu is great, service even better. Everyone who works there is genuinely kind and helpful.

This place seems like it has the potential to be awesome. We have been waiting for it to open as we were looking forward to a coffee shop within walking distance of home. Sadly they only have plant based milks which, while great that they have the selection, leaves out us milk drinkers. I love a good latte and hope they can add regular dairy to the menu so I can enjoy a coffee from there, but for now itll just be an occasional stop in for a beer.

Staying at an AirBnB close by and my boyfriend and I decided to try this coffee place out. SO happy we did! I ordered a hot lavender latte and it was amazing, my boyfriends coffee was as well.

Very elitist and passive. One the co-owners loudly complained about the amount of money customers spend and how people dress. I felt bad that I had spent money at a place that contributes to class separatism and judges people based on looks.

Good coffee, selection of beer, but vegan only menu and lack of dairy creamer means my wife and I will likely go elsewhere for coffee. Alternative milks are great and I’m glad folks have that option but we will head elsewhere.

My husband & I visited this place just for fun and was completely taken a back by the friendliness + quirky personality it presented. Our barista Phillip welcomed us with clever jokes and great conversation. Great place for community, delicious coffee, & beer.

This is my ultimate favorite coffee shop / beer shop in the hood. The good vibes overflow with sunshine, great tunes, and an amazing spectrum of delicious drinks. The owners are kind people who have poured their hearts and so much thought into the build out and menu choices. I come here to chat with friends or have meetings, read stuff by myself, catch some afternoon sun, or do a little choogling on my emails. Id recommend you do too.

Really relaxed atmosphere w/really great owners. Considering the glut of specialty coffee spots in Portland, I was pleasantly surprised at how deliciously juicy and bright their coffee was. Really solid spro, drip, and looks like a great selection of vegan eats. Id love to come back soon

Found the perfect spot to have a sour ale and relax, while also having a quiet corner to make some notes in my planner. Super nice, friendly, knowledgeable and chill service. Glad I stopped here. You should too (unless you take offense to them not having regular milk for their coffee. 🤷‍♀️)

Great little neighborhood gem. The plant decor is a nice touch to the cafe. The vegan pastry is good. Note that they close down the espresso machine around 9pm.

Wandered in on Thanksgiving while house-hunting and instantly fell in love. The owners are a fun and punchy duo who take pride in being a local hang-out. Tea and coffee drinks are well-crafted tea. They also offer a fee creative, vegetarian bites.

This place is just what my neighborhood needed. Coffee and Beer, the best of both worlds. Its not a loud, bustling hangout but still serves some awesome craft beer as well as a great selection of liquor you just dont see everywhere else. The owners/staff are friendly and cool too.

Nice that they want to be vegan, but why not offer a dairy option for lattes like regular coffee shops offer vegan options? You’ve just cut out a huge swath of customers. This is the closest coffee shop to my house, but sorry, I don’t like vegan lattes. Also, would be nice if a sign somewhere mentioned that it’s a vegan place. Kind of annoying to find out when we got to the counter to order.

The guy behind the counter (Ya know, THAT one guy), is awesome! Super friendly, the place is great and the coffee and beer is fantastic! Plus, I can always run in there for coffee beans (and glorious cupcakes) because of their later hours.

Interesting concept however I was not a fan of the lavender coffee drink idk maybe its just overall not a good combination. The lady behind the bar was fantastic super child friendly and I will say I love the decor. Definetly one of those trendy Portland places to check out. Had I liked my drink I would have given the 5 stars.

I’ve lived in Portland 10 years and this is my favoritist coffee shop ever. Duh cuz they also sell beer. And what it’s 100% vegan and you didn’t even notice?!? BAM! So good. Try the pizzas and breakfast sandwiches. Get to know the awesome servers. Get caffeinated there. Get drunk there. Don’t drive drunk. Have good times. Hard not to.

Great way to start my day!Finally stopped in to check the space out after walking past it a bunch of times. Good coffee that is fairly priced surrounded by cool local merch and artwork. It was good to learn from Phillip (co-owner of CB) what the shop has planned for the future and how theyre collaborating with the community. This is going to be a great addition to the neighborhood. Pop in for a coffee or a beer and check it out.

Extremely nice owner & staff, great beer & coffee

I love this combination of my two favorite drinks. Their draft and bottle selection is outstanding, and their barista makes great espresso. The shop itself is sun drenched, with a hip interior and plenty of seating, inside and out.

This is a great place with great and rich selections of beer and great vegan breakfast sandwiches. I will keep coming here for sure. The owners are so nice and friendly.

The vibe and location is cool but the employee here tonight was not very welcoming. I met a friend that already ordered food and the barista seemed frustrated that I just wanted a water. Just unnecessary rudeness that I dont have to come back for.

Nice little *vegan* coffee shop/bar hybrid. They have oat milk in addition to the standard non dairy milks and creamers.Owners are nice and the entire place has a pretty casual & chill atmosphere.

I love how they do not offer cow milk since most places that give vegan options give low quality vegan options. I am not sure why the bad reviews are so mad about the lack of milk or hint that if it is plant based it won’t be a good latte. If you drink animal milk give the oat milk a try.

Small, but pleasant coffee and beer stop between Holgate and Powell. Fun things on tap and interesting varieties in the case. Staff are quite cheery. Vegan menu. Dog cookies.

Just arrived to this place fresh off my plane from Texas.... Me and my girlfriend LOVED IT! The atmosphere is super chill... Everyone seems to just do there own thing. (Relaxed, good vibes) As soon aa we walked in some guy moved his things to make room for me and my girl to drink. The owner was super friendly and welcomed us with open arms. Music was awesome with a good variety. This place made me feel like I FOUND Portland.5/5 Ill def be going back.*edit* P.S The Drinks were Awesome! My girl had the Coconut Cappuccino and I had the Grandpas Special (coffee and wiskey) Mmmmmmm.....
